I got my oil/ filter changed recently, while waiting in the lobby, I began to hear explicit language from the music the techs were playing. It was clearly distinguishable. This is concerning considering there could be little kids listening. The service went as planned, but when I got home, parked my truck, I realized that the techs did not catch the oil from the filter. It left an oil stain about the size of a large plate in my driveway. Good thing I waited to replace my driveway until spring! They would have had a big problem on their hands. read more

I got my car serviced here today and everyone was so polite and nice and they got my car taken care of super fast!

This location (#3223) engaged in deceit and manipulative business practices after damaging my vehicle. They caused over $800 in damage to my vehicle (plug and oil pan). They admitted fault (only after it was called out by a different Jiffy Lube location) and agreed to cover the damage but told me to wait to have it serviced until my next oil change. Once I followed up after my next oil change, they denied the coverage because it had exceeded the warranty (because I trusted their guidance to wait). In retrospect, they wanted me to run my vehicle past the mileage their warranty covered before it got serviced, so they wouldn't be liable to pay for the damaged they caused. I can understand mistakes, but greedy manipulation, disrespect, and deceit are not business practices I can look past. Totally despicable. I (and my family) will never return to this location -- or any local Jiffy Lube under their ownership. I encourage anyone who recently had their car serviced by this location to get their vehicle inspected by an independent mechanic ASAP for possible damages. And if found, get it repaired *immediately* despite anything they may say to persuade you. Beware! Went in for an oil change. They told me I needed a coolant flush as well as new belts (3 of them). I agreed to do the coolant flush only. I then took my vehicle to my mechanic and asked him to look at the belts. This mechanic said the belts were "totally fine". ?!!?!? Buyer beware with this location for sure. read more

Terrible customer service. At first I had respect for this business as they owned up to a mistake they made and stating they would remedy the situation by either fixing the problem themselves or I had the option to take the car to the service center of my choice. After causing over $750 worth of damages to my vehicle, they're only reimbursing me for a small fraction of the damages caused after I had a dealership replace my oil pan. She was beyond rude and unhelpful as I was a potential customer. She could not answer simple questions without saying "it depends". I worked in customer service for years and could always answer with a best day and time for quick reliable service regardless if we were a "first come, first served" business as so many of us are very busy today even more so than I was working in CS. These guys are not helpful they are young men who are uneducated in the automotive field They offered me a transmission flush and I said no I paid for an oil change and they talked me into the differential flush and radiator flush. So 3 weeks pass and now my cars transmission is blown Mechanic says I'm missing the tiny cap to my transmission... hmmm weird since I just had it at jiffy lube . Well jiffy lube tells me they don't even look at that part cause they don't have special dipstick. But whys my cap off and why did you recommend anything to do with my transmission. Seems fishy he says they had a new hire . Says the weather was bad . Said that they wouldn't even look at the cap during their inspection to tell me it needs a cap . So you guys . The ones I paid to inspect my vehicle for maintenance issues and you don't look at a vital important piece that would jeopardize my vehicle. So now you tell me it's my problem and you won't take responsibility for lack of doing a thorough job........I'm sick to my stomach that these kids work on people's cars. read more

Returned to this location as I purchased a "$24.99 Groupon". Beware, as a basic oil change ends up costing approximately $24 MORE.. almost $50 total. My son's car broke down 2-hours after a visit to Jiffy Lube. Timing belt snapped. The engine was fried. The car was totaled. I naturally assumed it was due to Jiffy Lube's negligence. Could not have simply been a coincidence. I thought they had not put in the proper amount of oil causing the oil pump to fail which in turn caused hydraulic failure to the timing belt tensioner. After working with their district manager (Jacob) and two weeks of discussions, we agreed to have an independent mechanic (of my choice) look at the vehicle to determine if Jiffy Lube was at fault. Jiffy Lube paid for the independent review. Jacob (the district manager) was very polite and supportive during the entire process. He said he just wanted to make things right and if Jiffy lube was at fault, he agreed to pay for a new vehicle or a new motor. After the independent review, it was determined that Jiffy Lube was NOT at fault. The vehicle could have been serviced incorrectly at a dealership in the past causing a premature timing belt failure. I want to thank Jiffy Lube for going the extra mile and patiently dealing with one upset customer. I will continue to use them in the future because of this experience. They stand by their people and their work and, in this case, went the extra mile to resolve the issue. read more

For years I used to go to another quick change oil franchise. That has changed with my experience at Jiffy Lube. Quick, professional, and good people at this location. There was a family waiting for their car that arrived before me. This family had a few special needs children. The mechanics were VERY nice to them, and when one of the kids showed interested in what was going on out in the bays. The mechanics all made room for them to take a look. There wasn't another car in the shop besides mine and the crew took the family out there (making sure to be safe) and showed the kids the engine of their car. Really touching to see GOOD people. I got an oil change last year at this location. The tech showed me a bent air filter (claiming it must have been inserted incorrectly at my previous oil change). So I purchased a new one. My 3rd visit in 4 months, each unbelievably poor - this summarizes all. First Groupon seemed like a good deal. They had no way of taking my cc and asked me to come back. Then they supposedly changed my oil, but failed to reset my change oil light. They also ran out of window stickers to tell me when next oil change is due. Hmmm - did they really change the oil?? Next visit they said would take 15 min when I pulled in. 35 min later they had not even pulled the car in the garage. I told them I had to go to a meeting and asked if I could come back tomorrow morning. They said, we'll do it right now. I said I need to leave in 12 min. The guy mumbled something as he walked away from me going downstairs, so I have no idea what he was saying or what he was doing. Another guy came over and I said I'm taking my car and going. He said there is no way they could finish in time. Next day I showed up in the morning. 1hr and 15 min later they finished. Then they tried to charge me an extra $27 for extra work needed to remove my skid plate. I've changed oil on this car over 15 times and never been charged for this, nor was this ever even mentioned. Of course they also did not tell me this until it came time to pay. I refused to pay it and they said ok, but warned me for next visit they will have to charge extra. So, I go to Jiffy Lube to get my oil changed because most locations that I've been to get me in and out in less than 30 minutes. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for this location. When I pulled up to the place, they told me there were just a few cars ahead and that my car would be finished in 30-40 minutes. I was checked in after an hour and ten minutes and checked out an hour and half later. If you're in Boulder, there's a Jiffy Lube on 30th between Canyon and Walnut that'll get you out within 30 minutes. Save time and go there. read more

Here's my analysis: The staff was unable to do their job. They realized it and so they decided to scapegoat somebody else while charging me full price for a substandard service. Now the story: I originally had my oil changed about 6 months ago at a grease monkey location. Since then, I moved to Lafayette and decided to come here for my next oil change. The staff at jiffy lube took a long time. One guy eventually came in and told me that they had changed the oil, but were having a lot of trouble loosening the oil filter. He asked me where my previous change was. When I told him grease monkey, he sort of laughed and said that they had overtightened the heck out of the filter and possibly caused some damage. He then told me that he was going to send a guy out to Walmart (I think it was Walmart) to "buy a special tool" that might help them get the filter off. After waiting for 10-20 more minutes, the guy came back and said they still couldn't get the filter off. He told me to go back to grease monkey and ask them to fix the issue. He said I should have them give the jiffy lube location a call if I ran into any issues... as if that would help anything. Long story short, I did return to grease monkey and they had the filter off in about 10 seconds. It was not overtightened at all. As I said up top, I think jiffy lube simply failed at their job. Either they lacked the proper experience or the proper tools (I suspect the latter, given that strange reference to "needing a special tool"). Either way, the staff then had the gall to blame grease monkey and send me home with less money in my pocket and an incomplete oil service. Don't think I'll be returning here again. read more

After asking Jiffy Lube to help pay for their mistake they denied it and have no intention of helping. Wow, amazing customer service and attention to detail! You can really tell they are working hard to make sure the customer is satisfied but are also not 'overselling' services. They asked us what we preferred frequently during the process. They found a leaky valve that they made us aware of so my husband could get the part or have it replaced with our mechanic. Oil change was good the other bullshit they tried to sell me and tell me what was wrong with my car was not! They told me my brakes needed to be changed they were metal in metal. I took it to Lexus and they said they were fine I don't need new brakes. I was also told to use synthetic oil and I was never told that at jiffy lube! They have lost my confidence and I will never go back!! Think twice maybe they did this because I am a woman but that is no excuse!!! read more

I don't expect much from a basic oil and lube place. My last visit seemed okay, tried to upsell me like usual on things that I could do very quickly and cheaper by stopping next door at Napa. No big deal. Then I take my car to dealer to get recall done and some other minor work. They find that my oil drain plug was missing it's gasket and was leaking oil. Luckily it was only one week. They put a new plug on it and oil for free (thanks Flatiron Subaru). I dont ask much from these places but being able to do an oil change correctly is one thing I do ask.
