You'd think the big store that lets you know as soon as you get out of the car where you have to enter and exit and whether you can enter or not because of the number of customers in the store would be able to tell you what they can do to help you with your car. But they don't. The Auto Center is, in our Covid-19 time, officially closed. But you're not SOL if you have a battery or basic car need. The Auto Center is now where employees come and go through the vacant, cavernous garage and get checked in coming to work now. Where you could once pull in to the parking lot tohave your car worked on is now closed off to public traffic and dedicated to employees. You can still do basic car maintenance a la Wal-Mart with car parts still available. BUT they don't make it easy. I went in needing a car battery. The one I had was from Wal-Mart and I needed to return it there to get it recycled and get my discount. No one was back in the auto area. The section with car batteries was actually taped off with yellow caution tape. Workers I asked in other parts of the store couldn't tell me whether or not I could swap the old battery for new. I went home and called the next day on the chance of someone actually picking up the 'automotive' line. On my second try, I was successful. Turns out, with someone available in automotive -- even though they're closed -- they'll help you get your battery. You can take it to the front to customer service and exchange your old for new. Convenient like when the garage is open? Nope. Convenient so if you come in and get your questions answered? Nope. New battery in truck and old battery being recycled? Finally. read more

Immediately lost my business because they refuse to answer the phone. Called multiple times over the course of two days to try and get a quote. If you are understaffed, then that is obviously a Walmart problem but regardless... Discount tire got my business. read more

Took my car in for a basic oil change that took over two hours. I was in the waiting room the whole time and counted them finishing 6 oil changes (including mine) during that time. Two of those cars came in after me. While waiting, a supervisor came to the area and chastised an employee in full view and earshot of everyone. Very unprofessional. read more

Carlos in the Automotive department is the best. I had my tires rotated and balanced there, and the next day noticed the car was riding a little rough. So I went up there and talked to him about it. He offered to drive it around the lot himself and see if he could figure out what the problem was. Turns out one of my tires needed to be replaced cause it had a defect. After it all, he didn't charge us a dime. Now I know that it may be just what it should be for something like that, but in this day and age, where you are nickeled and domed for everything, it was nice not to be for once. But most of all, it was nice to have such a caring and model example of what customer service should look like, and I'll be honest I typically would not have expected it from Walmart. Went to get a new battery installed. Told it was going to take 2 hours and it took 4. Horrible service.

I usually have a good experience here but it's been going downhill and today was the worst. I rolled up and I'm usually greeted by someone. It want particularly busy so I waited by my car for a moment per usual and was never acknowledged. I walked into the service area and heard one of the techs say to a customer "well it could be done faster if the other guys would work". That was a bad sign. Inside I waited for a bit and was finally acknowledged. I asked about getting tires replaced and the response was "oh you'll have to flag someone down". Really? I walked to the fence by the work area and the tech was right - one was working and the rest were standing around. It was at that point I realized I had super powers because I must have turned invisible. It was a spiritual experience to move unseen and be ignored when speaking. I basked in the freedom of invisibility for about 20 minutes and left. I figured seeing a car drive away with no one in it would get someone's attention but it didn't. I drove to a competitor but alas I had now power there and was greeted / taken care of immediately. As the Cheeto in Chief would say; Walmart Auto Service? Sad. read more

Shout out to the manager on duty, James, and the 3 tech's that are handling my service. James, Mike and Russell. My wife had her tires rotated at Kwik kars and they completely overlooked the fact that they were all defective and needed to be replaced because they were too busy to replace them. Once she hit 50 miles per hour the car wobbled like there was no tomorrow. I hauled butt down to Walmart 20 minutes before they closed and the 3 technicians jumped on it without any problems at all. They were extremely polite and professional and I can't thank them enough for getting me and my wife at of a bad sittuation. They have earned a customer for life!! The young lady that helped me figure out what tires I needed and wrote up paper work was very sweet! However the actual guys who put my brand new tires on had NO clue what they were doing! I picked the car up and the low pressure light was on. Took it right back and the guy said "oh the tire pressure was different in each tire. I fixed it" started to leave and it came on again! Showed him again and he said "that is normal it will go off on it's own". Woke up to a flat tire!! Called and the customer service was not good! Sent a complaint into the head quarters and got back a survey not a call or even an e-mail from anyone!!! Will not be doing any more business with them. read more
