And I'm sure I'm joining the chorus of praise for the company who's embraced being the battery champs. A quick set-up and maybe a cautionary tale. My car had been starting slowly and I thought I would wait for my annual inspection to get the battery checked. But yesterday, I went to the grocery and as I went in the rear deck wouldn't open. Tried the remote, the switch on the deck and on the dash. Nothing. When I came out of the store, the remote wouldn't unlock the doors. I manually opened the door and in my Oh-S moment I prayed. Thankfully it started. I had to do something NOW. I drove immediately to AutoZone, went inside and Dominic left the counter immediately. He tested the battery: One cell was dead and the battery was draining fast. He and his coworkers worked together to find a high quality, warranted replacement. He and his coworkers also worked together to get the battery swapped out free of charge. Recycling of the old battery was free, too. In desperate, out relieved in 30-minutes. "Hallelujah AutoZone"

My Honda CR-V battery died and I was unable to start the car which was parked in my garage. I took my truck to pick up a new battery. George provided advice on the best battery for the car. He then carried it out to my truck. He must have noticed the disabled veteran plates on the truck and asked if I was a veteran. When I replied affirmatively, he told me that Advance Auto Parts gave a military discount. He went back into the store and adjusted my receipt to give the discount. He then asked if I had someone to install the battery. When I said no, he volunteered to come to my house after work (on his own time) to install it for me. The store closed at 9pm and 20 minutes later he was at my house installing the battery. I sincerely appreciate George's efforts and customer-first attitude!

Auto Zone quoted me $169 and didn't have it in stock so it would be a Tuesday availability as well. I called O'Reilly Auto Parts and they had it in stock for $149. It was a booger to change, and it took me about 4 hours, but I saved a ton of money $$$

A-Line is an old school, no frills parts store. They carry higher quality parts than the big…read morechains. The guys at the counter are skilled, and useful with their experience. I recently found a higher quality rebuilt alternator at A-Line for less money than the 3 big chains in town. They also loaned me tools to swap out the fan shroud that I forgot to remove at home. I almost turned it in and they made sure that I swapped it on the spot to make sure that it fit and aligned properly. One big differentiator for A-Line is that they can resurface heads (and I would assume rotors) with a full machining shop. I will always check with them first when searching for replacement parts.

I stopped in two weeks ago with my boat trailer and the young man in service came out to look and measured the wheels with their template. We also discussed the overhaul project I'm undertaking and he was super helpful, offering to walk the trailer and order anything needed, as well as answer questions. He gave the wheel and tire info to the guy at the counter. The counter guy took my name and number, "Should be here in about a week." Stopped by after hearing nothing and the same counter guy knew nothing about the order or the discussion. I left with "thank you" and received the standard "no problem".
