Two hours before scheduled pick up time, I sent Liliana a message asking for her address so I could pick up the cake for my son's birthday. I didn't hear from her so I gave her a call. When Liliana answered the phone- she sounded confused about me picking up a cake; eventually she said it wasn't ready and to give her another hour( mind you this was after calling her at the agreed pick up time). I called Liliana after an hour and asked for the update on the cake; she became defensive and stated to give her another 30 minutes or I had the option to cancel the cake and get my deposit back. What? My son's birthday was the next day and that was the option she gave me. She clearly never made the cake and was not apologetic at all. Very rude, unprofessional and unreliable. Liliana sent me my deposit but already ruined my son's birthday. I was in distress as this was almost 6pm at night. I had to settle for a store bought cake late at night that didn't even match my son's birthday theme. She ruined the whole thing for me. No professional baker works like this- Do better Liliana or close up if you know you can't deliver. Do not patronize or you will be clearly disappointed.

You can also buy other items but these are the only products I have tried. First I'll start off with the tamales-- the photos are from my purchase because I completely forgot to take pictures while I was there. I ordered 6 of each kind, they have 4 kind to choose from jalapeño with cheese, red pork, green chicken, and corn (sweeter side). They were all so good, freshly made and packed with deliciousness inside each tamale. My favorite one is the jalapeño with cheese they were spicy but not an overwhelming heat. Honestly it had just enough heat to enjoy and taste it. They all were great and not dry at all. The service was amazing, they always have long lines and at times it can be wrapped around the building. The staff has a great system in place allowing the wait time to be about 6-8 minutes long from start to finish (10 minutes on a busy day). If you are wise don't go alone and have someone tag along. One person to get in line while the other parks-- then one person to get Mexican bread while the other waits in line for the tamales. The inside has a small feel to it only because of the amount of customers they have at any given time. I walked in with what seemed like a short line, only for it to feel smaller in a matter of minutes with many more customers arriving. Overall I would recommend to try them out and see how great they are. Lastly, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful !

Enserio me mintieron. This bakery is definitely one of my favorites in the area!…read more Things I recommend: the tamales, bolillos, and pan dulce -- all consistently delicious. The pan dulce is always fresh, and the bolillos are honestly some of the best I've had from any bakery in a long time. The place itself is small, and parking can be a bit limited, but it's on a visible corner that's easy to find. Inside, they have a great variety of baked goods and a steady stream of customers, but the service is always quick and friendly. It seems to be family-owned and operated, and the woman who usually works in the evenings is always kind and helpful -- she gets your order together fast, even when it's busy. I usually stop by in the evenings, and I love that they still have plenty of fresh bread and pastries available, even close to closing time. The inside recently got a bit of a facelift -- it looks nicer, even though it wasn't really needed! There's no indoor seating since everything is packaged to go. With the remodel, they also added new menu items like smoothies and specialty juices. I haven't tried those yet, but I did ask about the juice prices, and they seemed a little higher than I expected (though, with how things are these days, that's understandable). The pastries and baked goods are reasonably priced and always worth it. This place is a must-stop for me whenever I'm in the area -- great quality, friendly service, and consistently fresh baked goods.

I decided to take my chances and called them on the night of the 23rd, and to my surprise, they were open late (until 10pm), and I was able to place an order over the phone for one dozen tamales. Fast forward to the next day when I arrived to pick up my order. The bakery smelled delicious. Ambiance is very casual and very much a hole in the wall type of bakery. I saw they had a few pan dulce selections, but it seemed like everyone there was mainly there for the tamales, like me. The line was long, and it only got busier after I left. I picked up my tamales and immediately tried one when I got home, and OMG, WAS I SURPRISED! The tamales came individually wrapped and were SO moist, generously filled with meat, and the flavor was on point!! I got a dozen (half pork and half chicken), which turned out to be $30. I 1000% will be back for their tamales and might try their pan dulce next time.
