If you've been to one...you've been to the all. This location was pretty efficient I might add though. My wife and I went in for fishing licenses around 7:30pm. No one was at the sporting goods counter so I figured we were in trouble and would have to find a local service station. Well, this location had a button you could press for assistance. My wife pressed the button and an announcement was made over the entire store "Customer need assistance in Sporting Good". I was amazed by this. About 5 mins later, Mike walk up to assist. I did not think the button would work. We were able to find everything else we needed and they had plenty of lines open for check out. This Wal Mart was not bad. read more

The attack dog in cosmetics needs her leash tightened. She's high on power and rude, to boot. She wears a yellow vest; no name tag visible, when I looked. She screamed "HELLO!" at me three or four times, before I realized she was screaming at me. I was exiting the cosmetic bubble (without the bubble bath I was seeking or any other cosmetic products). She felt that was the appropriate way of telling me that if I had cosmetics I had to buy them in cosmetics. I typically don't get cosmetics from this Walmart, these days, specifically because this woman is so disrespectful. I should've known to not even try for the bubble bath there. She had yelled at me the same way a couple of weeks prior when I hadn't even been IN the cosmetic bubble! I was passing and heard "ma'am, MA,AM!" as I was coming from produce. Turned to see her looking me in the eye, but I turned back around and kept walking to checkout because it didn't make since for her to need me for any reason. Lady is off her rocker and needs to take it down a notch or ten. read more

NOT overnight friendly for RV's. Unfortunately had to start our engine & move to Lowe's down the street at 10:30 at night, thankfully we didn't have sleeping children on board or that would've been even more a pain. read more

Went in to the deli dept to get mozzarella sticks and was told that I had to wait a few minutes for the employees to put his 10 chickens in the container, I'm visiting from out of town but I will never spend another coin in here... customer service was no good read more

This place is a joke they only have one person working customer service and there was a line that had over 25 people in it and then I'll look around in there six employees that are doing nothing walking around talking on the CB trying to coordinate things instead of working the Majestic's sucks. read more

Came here with my bf to get oil change. Early in the morning, they tell me 45 min wait. Wait an hour, they tell me it'll be another 45 minutes. Try to leave and have to wait 10 min before anyone will even give they keys back. Never come back here. read more

Terrible customer service even by Walmart's poor standards. Their prices on electronics didn't even beat best buys. And if/when you do find an employee, they act like you're inconveniencing them with your question. I would give this store fewer stars if I could. Not sure what's going on with the management but at 630 pm there are only six registers open, four of which are the speedy checkouts. It's like this every time I go in. I literally cannot get frozen foods at this store because it takes AT LEAST 20 minutes to check out. Often more. I'm the dumb one who keeps going back!! read more

As much as I am not a fan of big box stores, there are some prices for items here that can not be beat. That being said. Today's visit was good on product but horrible on deli service. I was the only person in line. It took 20 minutes literally to get my 3 small items. And there were 2 ladies behind the counter. And one was not the usual older counter lady. It took forever. I'm at this Walmart at 7:00pm on a Saturday I've waited over an hour for assistance at the fabric cutting table, I've talked with a manager and had someone called over the intercom multiple times. I feel as though they don't care about the customer at this point. I really needed this fabric, since my other fabric stores didn't have the color I needed. Nasty woman with dark shoulder length hair walked up to me at the self check out and went over my purchase-was so RUDE, treated me awful and for no reason. Just a nasty person. I have not been back there since and will not be back. I always try to shop local as much as possible and the rudeness of some WalMart employees is a good incentive to shop local, too. I went in this afternoon about 4 pm. FILTHY women's restrooms in the front. I told an associate, who gave me a sullen look, but I did hear them call for maintenance over the speaker. About 40 minutes later, when I was checking out, the maintenance man was walking as slow as is humanly possible and still be moving toward the front. The bathroom was not yet done. I called the store when I got home to speak to the manager and was told he/she was "not available". They transferred me to "customer service". I relayed the above, and was told there was only one maintenance man. No mention of being sorry for the experience, and again a sullen tone of voice. I would show a picture if I could! read more

Best Walmart experience hands down. The store is ginormous and today I walked away with a huge bag of Reese's and a giant potato chip floaty for only 17$. I cringed on the way to check out thinking how expensive this chic potato chip floatie would be but my heart was full and (bank account) when the price rang up 4$. This Walmart has a good energy about it, I feel luckier leaving. Thanks to the helpful managers on floor my friend and I even avoided slipping on a clothes hanger. read more

Worst customer service in tire department. Such incompetence and disorganization. Didn't even have people scheduled to come in so I had to wait 2 hours to get a tire fixed. They couldn't fix it so they had to sell me a tire. Avoid the big box bs and go to a local tire place. read more

I would have given this place 1 star, but there are a few really nice employee's there who don't deserve the bad rep this Walmart seems to like having. This Walmart stays BUSY, and for some reason they NEVER staff it enough. I think I have only seen 6 lanes open maximum and most of those were the speedy checkouts that turned not so speedy with so few open registers. There are no self-checkouts either. The place isn't dirty, but I don't think wow it's so clean when I have to go in there. They almost always have huge pallets of stuff in many of the aisles and with all the people this makes it hard to get through. They have improved on their produce lately, but I still don't care for their meat department. Several times I have asked for help finding a particular item and the associates never know where it is, or they have to admit that they never got it. This Walmart could be so much better, it's in a great location and has the business-but they just don't seem to care. Too bad, I only go there now if I can't find it anywhere else first. read more

I am 56 years old and have seen the erosion of customer service in my life time. I have lived in Asheville since I was five and have shopped at Walmart as long as one has been here. Up until tonight I got the feeling the employees are just marking time and tolerating us as customers hoping their shift would soon be completed (with few exceptions). Tonight, however, after seeing the layaway department slammed, we left to go eat and returned 45 minutes after layaway had closed not realizing how late it was. The lady, Marlon, was cleaning up and informed us layaway had closed at nine and that it was nearly ten. We told her we just had one thing to get out but would be back the next day to get it. This lady told us if we paid with a credit card she would go ahead and take care of us! WHAT? She told us how we could apply for a credit card, save some money on our purchase, pay the purchase off interest free, and did it all with a smile. She explained everything we needed to know in amazing detail. She treated us like valued customers instead of an obstacle to her getting off after an obviously busy day. I am not finding enough words to describe how she made us feel like we mattered in the grand scheme of things. So much that my wife and I were talking about her and this experience all the way to the car. So much that I am now finding ways to compliment her and Walmart on the Internet! This was probably the most pleasant experience in Walmart we have ever had because of a sweet lady named Marlon in the layaway department. If you had 100 employees like her your business would grow exponentially and shoppers would be extremely happy when they left. GO MARLON! read more

My experience at the place called,the Walmart, was very unpleasant indeed. There were a variety of loosely clad women and poorly clad men running all over the place trying to find who knows what in the sea of low priced items. The purpose of my visit was to get food for the fishies, and this was a feat in and of itself to behold. The poor little fishies, the ones that were living anyway, seemed very upset and their poorly kept environments we're floating full of dead fishie carcasses, and the waters were not clear sailing, but they were foggy. I grabbed my fishie food, I went to the mile long line, I dealt with the rude cashieress and I departed from that hell just named the Walmart. I dream of the day when the employees will be happy and smiling, maybe even a little polite, because currently they act as if when they depart to go home there will be little gaunt faces looking up at them, wondering from where the next meal will come, wondering why mommy and daddy are too tired to read them a bedtime story. It's sad people, terrible conditions for the fishies, terrible conditions for the employees, when I asked how my cashier's day was and she says, "I'm alive," it is depressing. If there was less than one star I'd give it, but there is not. This place is truly a sweatshop in the lowest depths of... I digress. Not a good place to shop. But there Amy's frozen dinners are the cheapest in town, delicious organic cuisine sure to nourish the whole family. If you're making more than a Walmart employee makes.... Got a good chuckle...
