Well I think I made the mistake on going there on Grand Opening Day on 6/22/16. It was just havoc and chaotic. I should have left after it took me 20 min to find parking cause it was so packed. But who can resist the low prices?!? I usually drive to the Santa Clarita location but was so excited to hear about the new one opening up so close to home. And of course I needed supplies on the same day there grand opening is happening. So this store is HUGE! They have everything I think you would possibly need. It's the same as all other Wal Marts but I think this one is just a little bigger. My only problem was that I went in at 5P and left at 8P cause there registers went down. We literally got lawn chairs and sat down and waited till the registers came back up. The only reason I didn't leave is cause I took a lot of time walking up and down all the aisles filling my cart and wasn't about to come back another day or go to another location. So I patiently sat and waited. And at that time they actually had closed the doors and weren't letting anyone else in which was good cause the lines were crazy long. I still think they should have given us gift cards or something for waiting for all that time. I really don't have much to complain about. With such low prices I'll definitely be back. read more

I am known in the Yelp community for my disdain for those who review chains and franchises. It is pointless and merely a way to rack up Yelp reviews. I mean, come on, we KNOW what to expect at Starbucks or Trader Joe's. Pretty sure we're good, folks. We got it. To each his own, I suppose though. However, I must make a break-away from my own rule to for Walmart. I know... Walmart. That one word alone brings a multitude of responses and not always positive. But this new Walmart (just opened a week ago at the time of this review) is different. I'm serious! Read on... Burbank's Walmart Supercenter opened in Empire Center and has been under construction for some time in the real estate which used to be The Great Indoors. This store space was already large and modern but Walmart set out to clean it up a little bit more down to the exterior and repaving of the parking lot (there are specific spots for clean-air vehicles --- which failed miserably as a Hummer was parked in one). The closest Walmart in the Valley is in Panorama City and I highly recommend to stay away from that hot mess if you have any ounce of class. I welcomed this new Walmart in more upscale-Burbank with some curiosity. We entered the doors and each let out a, "OOHH" at the door before even fully having both feet inside. Why? It's just Walmart, right? Well, this is a little different. This Walmart is large and in charge with a gigantic warehouse type space, extremely high ceilings, and cement floors. It is sort of like an airport hangar. Admittedly, it isn't a comfortable and intimate scene and my first response was, "This is like Sam's Club". That's the membership-only, bulk club from Walmart for those not familiar. Well, it turns out that is the premise here, I think... Walmart has everything. From a large grocery section that is basically half the store, to sporting goods, electronics, health & beauty, paint mixing, pharmacy, fishing and hunting licenses, clothing, crafts, deli, bakery, etc. You get the drift. The thing that sticks out is the prices. I came here SPECIFICALLY to price check and compare to my usual Target purchases and my regular items here are far cheaper. I am not saying a few cents off. We are talking $4 for what I pay $7! Also amazing is that this Walmart sells bulk items and Sam's Way versus just the Great Quality Walmart brand. So, this Walmart mixed in Sam's Club without the membership! SCORE! Basically, this is a Walmart on steroids flaunting its goods. It's like Kim Kardashian and her butt. Large and in your face. The negatives? Being recently opened they are still working out kinks and there were some big ones: not all the shelves are stocked, the store was kind of a mess, I asked an employee for an item location and he had no idea and didn't even attempt to look, and the cashier barely spoke English and did NOT know how to ring up a credit card!! WHAT?!!!! That's like the first thing you learn during your cashiering training! Sheesh. Pathetic! Now, I see some complaints saying their bulk items cost more than Costco so perhaps that is the case but I don't have a Costco membership so I am simply comparing to Target and this place is a win. Perhaps comparing to other bulk retailers isn't as great but I can't vouch for that. Oh, for those looking for clothes: this didn't seem to be the best spot. Everything else-- yes. Clothing? Not so much. Although not open 24 hours like many Walmarts across the nation; this new retailer is open until midnight (the nearby Target closes at 11). Kinks aside which I hope is just some newly opened- blues; I am highly impressed with this amped-up Walmart and am excited to to save some moolah here. It isn't Target for sure in terms of visual appeal or shopping experience but will definitely win the saving-money game. Okay... back to not reviewing chains or franchises... read more

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd give a Walmart four stars. That day has now come. Nadia, my Yelper buddy, clued me in on this Wally World, so I knew I'd need to go here if I needed to load up on my LA vacation. It's easy to get there from the freeway, so in I go. In one sense, it's a typical Walmart Supercenter: one-stop shopping, including groceries on the left side. Low prices. Huge parking lot. Unhelpful customer "service". They have ammo. Occasional appearances by the People Of Walmart. It's four stars because they have the department names painted high on the walls. Just one little addition was so helpful. Most of the time, I'm wandering down the aisle of a Walmart I've never been to, wondering where they have the girls clothes, sporting goods, greeting cards, snacks, electronics. There are signs hanging from the ceiling, but many times, these end up just low enough that you can't see them when you're deep in the bowels of the store. With the signs also painted high on the walls, it makes navigation far easier. (I hope WM management in Bentonville AR is reading this.) I'm not sure if I'd go out of my way to visit this Walmart if I'm in The Valley. But it's worth a few extra miles' drive for me. PS: While here, I looked for a certain chica with flaming red hair, and didn't find her. Boo hoo. read more

Love how big this Walmart is cause the options and stock is great.. but it's always a schlep coming here and can be a bit frustrating. It's my nieces birthday so i decided to do curbside pick up cause i'm already in a rush to get there and figured it would be the easiest... However, it's been 15 minutes of sitting in the pick up spot so far and no one has come. I decided to call to let someone know that my order on the app notified me saying I picked my order up but I'm still actually waiting. The lady asked my spot number and then hung up. I thought the point of curbside is for fast transactions but apparently not here cause I would have been way faster running in and grabbing it myself. PS to the lady that answers the phone, its incredibly rude to hang up on customers and awful customer service. read more

I didn't need to step into this store to know I'll never shop there. All it took was on hold for 40 minutes for a simple question if a TV was in stock. And a manager who referred me to the website. Saw a commercial on TV for a great deal on a 60'' Vizio. Called - was transferred back to the same person. Spoke to another person who put me on hold for 20 min. Different person picked up. Asked for a Manager. 10 minutes on hold. Another person picks up (not a manager). Hold again....Assistant Manager (clearly not interested in hearing about my experience) can't find the deal i just saw on a commercial and directs me to the website. No thanks. Corporate needs to come here an retrain most of the people on customer service skills. You can't even ask a question, they are either to busy or don't know. They have no idea where things are located. Guys restocking spend more time using foul language on each other and talking about what shoes they just bought. I know this doesn't speak for every employee there, but the majority of the time I go is the same experience. I was refuse to speak with a supervisor at the self check out. So they told me I could just go. I know Walmart doesn't really have a dress code, but some employees dress like they are sitting at hime on their sofas. I only go here because it's close to work, but I'm glad my home Walmart in Santa Clarita is nothing like this. read more

Walmart JUST opened up in Burbank and we are stoked!! We swung by the first weekend and tried to get some shopping out of the way. I have to start off by saying they have a lot of staff, friendly staff, and knowledgable staff! Like if we needed to get hold of someone to ask where something is (cause Walmarts are so big there should probably be a freeway inside to get from one side of the store to the other), there was always someone available and they know where everything is in that Walmart. It is very impressive! The walmart itself is good. I'm not too crazy about it cause there seemed to be a lot of shelves that were empty, which usually indicates that they werent full prepared for their opening and restocking. One thing that stood out to me is that I wanted to purchase a box of Winchester 12 gauge shotgun shells (cause Walmart has the best prices on these) and they were out. Now, a week later, my wife went to get some stuff and I asked her to pick up the shells, and they still were out!! They dont have a big variety either. We've been to the Walmart in Valencia and Santa Clarita and those have a lot of stock on items AND a pretty nice variety to choose from. Hence the reason I've giving this Walmart 3 stars. Its average, it has some things in stock, but missing things in stock and compared to other Walmarts it doesnt have as much variety. If it werent for the distance, I would totally go for the Valencia location, but I guess for now Burbank will suffice... I guess all I can say is try it out and hope they have what you want (or at least in stock, lol)... read more

If I could give this no stars I would , this is the worst place to go shopping especially during covid , they don't care if the store is passed capacity all they care about is the money coming in , I literally had to leave my full cart of food in the aisle because there was no way I was going to stand in the line that had at least 20 people waiting. Everything is organized, more so than Walmarts in SCV. I like their organic salad options and juices. From what I saw, they don't have a built in McDonald's, optical area or nail salon. But i really appreciate the cleanliness! read more

I shop here every Wednesday and I'm docking stars because they only have 3 checkouts open MAX so the checkout process is long if you don't use self check out. Also the mens room toilets are always out of service (since they opened years ago!) Other than that, good prices. read more

Been coming here 5 years no problems, yesterday 8-15-24 was here and when I left the store I believe someone took bags from my cart. Not sure why but sometimes I pull rather than push. I got to my car unloaded and went home. As I am unloading at home I started missing stuff turned out lots of stuff. Not sure how I missed this when loading my car because I am pretty in tuned. But did a costco shopping minutes before walmart, so had tons of stuff already in car. What has me upset is I was told to come in with receipt today and I did. From customer service I was brought to this woman who had 0 skill set to deal with the public. They looked at their cameras and said you took all your bags with you. I said that before you looked at the cameras. What I asked them to do is to view me walking from store to my car. That's when this happened. But they won't unless I file a police order. WTf bother busy police to see who took $100 plus food? I would be embarrassed to do that just because walmart doesn't care about their customers safety!!! Shame on walmart. Just a warning to people shopping there. When your feet leaves the store, your on your own. Don't waste your time gas to go to walmart they don't care to help. Last thing after 40 minutes I called walmart customer service and this lady was really helpful. Had her on speaker phone she as to speak to the manager but the manager wouldn't talk to her because she was on my phone on speaker with me holding the phone. So the lady on phone wrote 2 complaints on this store. One on the horrible management second on security. Few minutes after I was home today got a call from security management from burbank store with I really want to help but when I asked him to look at video and let me know what happened, he told me to file a police complaint. This Walmart was a zoo when I went on a Sunday afternoon. The aisles are hard to navigate and are narrow. I would rather buy online.

This is the most ridiculous policy to have the eye drops locked up. Who would want to steal eye drops? There are more items of value in the store that are not locked up and to find somebody to open the glass case is like extracting teeth. I pushed the red button and waited for 15 minutes. Nobody came. I asked some Walmart employees and they didn't have the keys. To my luck the pharmacy had to get into the glass case for a patient so I got my eye drops but if that didn't happen I would spend a night waiting for somebody to open the case. Walmart management: what makes you think that people can't steal them after they get them out of the case? What kind of stupid policy is that? Let me explain to you that if your lazy employees do not want to open the case you don't make the sale! read more

I am starting to like going to Wal-Mart because of the deals they have there. There was a little stand outside by the entrance that provided samples for these off brand chips and the promotional was buy one inside and get one for free when you show them your purchase. Had to go back to the stand again though when it was nearing checkout time because I had no clue where it was and had clearly missed seeing their display inside the store right when you enter. Anyways, this store provides a good range of products to purchase ranging from food to home goods and more. They have a clearance section near the party section left of the cashiers when you are facing them. And they had a huge section dedicated to just school supplies, which usually is designated for seasonal products. There are more self-check out stations than cashiers, so definitely wad able to get out of their quick after making our selections. And we remembered to redeem our free bags of chips and had another thrown in for free. read more

The employees at this location are rude and unfriendly towards Black women or perhaps in general. I asked to have an item scanned since no price was mentioned and Andres replied, 'not right now', then I asked if someone else was available and he replied, 'don't know' and walked-off.. Afterwards, I went over to Electronics and roughly the same experience there. The employees act with disdain, as if requesting service is a crime. After purchasing one item with my receipt in hand, I walked to the exit and the person at the door went out of his way to check my receipt. I noticed the next two customer receipts' were not checked at all. In fact, he was quite friendly towards them. None of which I received. I would have felt welcomed if Walmart required diversity in its hiring practice; all employees at this location appear Hispanic. Pretty sure my experience would have been completely different (pleasant) had there been Black women employed at this location in which I could have asked for assistance. DEI training should be required at the very least. News flash! ALL customers deserve to be treated with kindness, not just those that look like you! read more

Had the worst experience ever with this place. Purchased exercise equipment and it arrived broken and they were only prepared to issue less than half of a refund. Ridiculous. After going back and forth for a week and a half hearing customer service agents lie I was finally given my full return. Great store and prices with a couple complaints/suggestions. You've got all these great online tools like "start a return" from your phone. I use that, but it ends up not saving me any time because of all the mouth breathers in front of me. Here's my idea: An EXPRESS line for people who use your online tools! You have over a dozen car charging spots in the parking lot which go almost completely unused because they don't support the #1 electric vehicles on the planet. Could we have just one for us? The workers hear do not even do the bare minimum here & it is ridiculous. I am in need of windshield wipers so I placed an order for pickup. As soon as I picked up I immediately noticed that they gave me the wrong size (I ordered the right one but they gave me the wrong one). I showed them the order and told them they brought the wrong one & they told me they cant go get it & i have to go to customer service to return it???? I again specified that he just handed me the wrong size and he said he can not do anything about it. This Walmart is okay, it's just always extremely busy and bustling with disorganized frantic families. Unfortunately it's the only one anywhere near here so you either have to go without, or put up with the chaos. The store is always cleanly (hygienic wise), not always neat and tidy (shelf wise), but the staff are something special. I don't know how they keep themselves calm and collected, but they always greet you with a smile and are extremely helpful, kudos to them! read more

It's unorganized, most shelves are empty and need to be re-stocked. All of these 'cons' were tolerable...EXCEPT check-out. Nathaniel was my cashier and clearly new. He kept asking me questions about everything I was purchasing. Not logical questions but instead 'how much is this? Are these the same price? What is this?' And I had to tell him I didn't remember exact pricing and suggested he scan all the items to figure out pricing, to which he replied, 'oh, yeah'. He was very socially awkward and holding up the line due to all his questions (he literally asked me if I wanted certain items next to each other/if I was sure I wanted ea bag). I left feeling agitated. It is evident he needs more training (on product/scanning/register use/social skills) I will not return to this location again...I will now drive a little further and try the Walmart in Duarte, or possibly further. I refuse to go shopping on my day off, only to feel like I'm one of the employees supervisors having to answer a bunch of questions w/o getting paid. Never again. read more

I just want to give a compliments to this Cashier name GERALYN at this Walmart Supercenter in Burbank. She's so nice and very friendly to her customers. She knows what she is doing and make her customers happy after shopping at the store for her great customer services. She's an asset to the store, and hopefully the rest of the cashiers do the same. They are the last point of view to the customers, so they should always be nice and friendly. So customers will keep coming back. Delivery sucks! I was supposed to get a food delivery in evening. It never came. Customer service said call back if you don't hear from the store by 8am. They never texted, emailed nor called! I wasn't even put on first am delivery! Never use delivery from Walmart Burbank. You will get lost items, delivery to wrong address, melted icecream, though you bring it in as soon as they deliver it, or someone else's order altogether. Now no food. No apology, no compensation. And, they charged me $1.10 for bags fee last order. I didn't get 11 bag! So recluses have to starve. Or go to Amazon. read more

What is the point of having people line up outside (no social distancing) if you're just going to let people cut them to get in anyway? No social distancing in the store either. It felt like a regular, hectic day at Walmart featuring some masks. Super crowded. People were also let in without masks. When we went to check out we were told to line up "back over there" by a rude employee that was loudly badmouthing customers to other employees. People were lining up up and down random aisles and being moved to registers whenever an associate felt like moving that line. And, you guessed it, no social distancing markers at all. I went in to purchase clothes for a new job and wanted to try on some shirts. The fitting room looked empty but there were 2 workers there and the lights were on so I grabbed my items and waiting by the entrance. A woman with short black hair was grabbing some clothes and sorting or folding right in front the entrance so I waited until she was done . She hadn't acknowledged me so I asked if I was able to try on some items. Without looking up, she muttered "fitting room is closed, see the sign?". I saw the sign on one of the fitting room doors and assumed someone was on break so I asked what time will it be reopen. Again, no acknowledgment or response and I'm standing there while she continues doing her work. So I spoke up a little more, apologized, and asked again what time it would opened at. She finally sighed and said it's closed. It hasn't been opened for 3 years...she proceeded to tell me the return policy and I just left and tried on the clothes in the aisle instead. I haven't been to this location in a long time so I wasn't aware that they had this closed for 3 years. Other locations have them open and I just assumed workers were on break. I felt that there should have been a better way of communicating the situation or even having better signs which block off the fitting room so I wouldn't have disturbed this worker. I felt pretty silly for bothering her but I really just wanted to try on clothes and the closed sign was not displayed properly. read more

Went to the cosmetics department area where you have to pay in that department, walked in with my basket Delores was working she said no baskets, mind you a man was in there with his another person came she said the same thing, when it was my turn I inquired what made that man so special she said he need his basket. I said all rules should apply to everyone unless there's a sign that provide other circumstances, I told her I have several medical problems that you can't see so all rules apply to everyone. This is my go to spot. Before they opened years and years ago I would always go by this building and say damn this would be a perfect spot for a Walmart. Since not many (if any) Walmarts have ever been opened this close to LA. But here it is and this place I can get so many things that I need for every day life in one spot fast. The customer service is good here and I never have much of an issue and they are always well stocked and the place is pretty clean. I love this Walmart and always go at least once a month. read more
