I waited over an HOUR to get my items for a DRIVE UP ORDER. I had to go inside to pick it up too since nobody was coming out and I was being ignored outside in my car and space I was in. People were arriving AFTER me and still getting their items BEFORE me. Before I got there too I said I was on my way. I checked in perfectly on the app and did everything correct and how I was supposed to. I got the email saying my order was ready at 8:54pm. I got there and checked in at 9:41pm. After waiting almost an hour outside I went in and people were immediately rude cutting me off saying they were closed at customer service. I went in at 10:30pm. I asked for a manager or supervisor and nobody ever came. I asked another employee who passed by for my order and they went to get it but I had to wait an additional 25 mins for it. I don't know why I ever think going to Walmart would ever be okay! Waited I don't know how long to make a return. Had the items in my purse and receipts in hand. But apparently having a receipt is not good enough? If you pay with a card, they need the card used to even start the return ?? They need the card to verify it's your receipt for the items you're returning?! If that were the case, wouldn't it be easiest to refund directly to the card and not offer any other options? Online shopping with curbside pickup is horrendous. Waited 45 minutes to get my order and they still got it wrong. So I had to go in and shop for my products anyway and wait another 20 minutes because they would let me do a simple exchange. This Walmart on McKinley has seriously gone down hill. This Walmart is always so busy. Located in the busy McKinley street in really big plaza. People always walking in and out of here. It seems like people come here for everything and I understand that there is hardly anything to do here in Corona. I come here when I visit my BF. He is staying in this area for school. This walmart is big but they are always out of stuff. Like I said, a lot of people come and go so I can see why. Their veggies and fruits are fresh. Workers here are really nice. I don't necessarily have an issue with Walmart in general until I went to their bakery. First time getting a cake they forgot to add filling which okay that's okay because the cake looked great. SECOND time I get a cake that I'm gonna be honest I have no f**kin clue what it is. I've instructed the bakery to call me before making this cake. (I asked for cars themed) and it's no where near the cars themed I asked for. Yeah why didn't I call. Yeah why didn't you not take it. I waited over 30 mins in the electronics department for help only to receive none at all. I went to the cashier twice and both times she told me she'll be right there that she just needed the keys. This place is a shit hole. I have experienced maybe 5 decent employees in the 20+ years I have gone there. In fact if it wasn't for the taco truck in the parking lot I would never step foot in there again. The employees are rude except for a couple granted but for the most part completely unhelpful, rude, lazy and definitely seem to have given up on life or acting like good people. Dirty and unorganized store, rude staff, except the older workers. I understand walmart hires elderly folks who need income and these are usually the only helpful, friendly walmart workers. I hate walmart but I come here for the prices. I hate how things are set up, I hate the lighting. there are NEVER enough cashier stands open. this walmart is very busy and they only ever have two or three cashiers which seems ridiculous. If you have the stands why dont you use them? there are plenty of workers standing around that could actually be doing something, like helping? and yet when I do have a question If I ask its like Im inconveniencing the worker by asking a question. the grocery delivery system is terrible, I used to get my groceries delivered and they use doordash drivers to deliver so half of the time my deliveries wouldn't even show up, $200 worth of groceries just lost. then it would take days to get the money back on my card. even when you get something shipped from their big warehouse across the country the shipping information is wrong. it will say delivered and then not actually get delivered for a couple days. now the worst thing was today when I tried to go in to grab a couple things for my family. I was stopped by a solicitor. No other store allows people to stand outside and ask for anything around the area unless its girl scout cookies. walmart seems to have no problem letting people stand outside when they could ask them to leave. look I know these people are mostly innocent and just trying to do their job or spread the word about something and its not usually sketchy. this guy was asking for signatures to create more programs for the homeless. I have a heart for the homeless and so I decided I would look it over. The fine print ended up actually saying it was trying to legalize gambling which I asked about and he said "yeah the taxes they get from the gambling will go to the homeless". Honestly this sounded absurd to me and I changed my mind and started crossing out my signatures because not only did this guy lie about what the signatures were for, he could be trying to steal my information. once I started crossing my name out he gets angry at me and starts yelling at me saying to stop and that im ruining his paper and saying things that make me uncomfortable. this experience made me so upset that I left the store and decided to go somewhere else. I guess maybe Im just one customer but im sure other people hate being pestered by people who could just be trying to scam you for your information. anyways this place sucks. just drive across town to the other location if you really have to go. read more

Dear Walmart, Thank you for the great prices and large selection, just wish that there was more effort from the staff. I frequent the location once to twice a week and each time that I or anyone else ring for an associate/Walmart staff seldom one comes to the call. Last few times the head manager had to come to the call after multiple people complained. Just today I rung for an associate/staff and no one showed yet again, I then called the store to have someone come to my location but five minutes passed and no one showed up plus the call was not announced through the speakers. This problem is common in the electronic, sporting goods and refrigerated food areas. read more

This is the walmart that I always go to. So I am familiar with a lot of the workers here. Today I went to get a gel bike seat cover which was in a glass case. I asked Majorie(wearing a mask and yellow jacket today)to help me because the item was in a case. After opening the case she proceeded to help another person who needed something from the same case. I waited while she got our items and told me that she has to take it to the register. I heard her repeat it to the other customer and he said he will just take it to the register himself. She said no I have to take it to the register but he was insistent on taking it himself. She gave him the item but still had to walk me to the register. Why would she give the other guy his item and not give me my item as well. I don't usually complain but when I got to the self check out line it was 10people deep so that infuriated me even more to write this review. I saw that Majorie gave the item to a cashier I knew therand told her my grievance. She walked away because it was busy. I voiced out that i'll be writing about it to let people know the unfair treatment you get when working with Majorie in the bike department. Oh yes and thank you for your help Majorie. read more

Today I rate this Walmart with a one star because of the following: I had ordered groceries and some household items on Walmart.com. I thought my order had cancelled three times because it returned me to a new empty cart after I tried to increase my driver tip upon check out. So I ended up with four orders. So, I decided to return four of the six can openers I received and two boxes of Aveeno Oatmeal Bath. I gave away or stored the other items. I thought that I didn't get a receipt because I didn't think to check my email. (My bad on that part). I had previously returned something before without my receipt. I knew that with my phone number and credit card I used that they could find my orders to process my refund. So I get there and after telling cashier Marlene what had happened, her reaction was that of disbelief. I again told her that I ordered it on line and that she should be able to find my items with my phone number and credit card. She said that you need a receipt to return and I again told her that isn't true as I have returned something before and they just looked it up with my phone number. She then took a long time and finally said she only found three of the six items I had and then just stared at me. I told her that I bought everything wit the same credit card and that all items should be there. She finally Then asks me if there could be another receipt. I told her that since there was four completed deliveries that there would be more receipts. She was taking forever so I asked for a manager. Then an abhorrent Manager Dora, who had been standing at the end of the counter said she was the manager. I told her that Marlene was rude to me and then Dora also starts being rude. She told me, "You should have gotten an email receipt. Do you have your email?" I started to look it up on my phone until I realized she was just being a low life and harassing me. I told Dora that I wasn't going to give her my email because Marlene should have the items on her screen (Marlene had already found three of the six items). Dora then says, sarcastically, "Well you have a beautiful, blessed day. you deserve it" while she is walking away. I told her that she was the one that needed a blessed day because she is a rude manager with a rude employee. I was so mad I was shaking. Dora should be returned to the hole Walmart dug her out of and replaced with someone who is management material. read more

I'm sure yelp doesn't really impact huge chains like Walmart but it's worth noting that this Walmart is aweful! They NEVER have enough registers open. This is in a very busy area and lots of people visit this location. Yesterday I was in line to pay for 45mins! 2 registers were open (not counting self checkout) and each line extended back halfway they the store clogging up other areas as well. How is this acceptable? You know you're a busy store, GET MORE CASHIERS! Also, this store always has a dirty feel to it. We prefer to go to the Corona Walmart off of ONTARIO, when we can. I waited for the manager Russ for nearly over 1 hour in the store. The manager never came out to speak to me. I had been calling since early am at 8:30 and the have been given nothing but the runaround. I'm very uncomfortable with the way the store has treated me. walmart mckinley/promenade is the most convenient store for me, since i live a mile away.i have no problem with what i need because they almost have it all.what sucks is when i tried their online order. i was expecting that as soon as the order is made and the pick-up time is given, i can easily pick up ordered items without any hassle.but NO, NO, NO, NO. they have NO SYSTEM at all to address the queueing customers outside the curb area. before i came in to pick up my ordered items, i CHECKED in first as per instructions.i was made to WAIT........long enough that i left without any clerk attending.what a LOUSY staff! i came back later in the afternoon, hoping i would get it, but it got WORST. so i left.but before i left, i talked to the SUPERVISOR TO CANCEL MY ORDER. walmart management NEEDS to see how their marketing is doing, or they will lose a lot of customers. read more

I may not know many that work here as I did once before, (local for a little under a decade), however I can say about the experience I had today like I do every time I'm at this Walmart. Everyone says "hello, good morning", etc. but Mr. Robert Young gives me the impression that he's genuine when he gives either form of salutation of a hello or goodbye. A great smile to brighten up a customers day and is always willing to help.. the gentleman even helped me pick between two different bouquets of flowers for a personal meeting. People like this do really set the difference at chain businesses, and some how make people come back to this spot other than the one on Ontario or Van Buren simply because of friendly vibes. You guys should hire more people like that, Walmart Management. Keep up the good work, brotha. read more

This by far is the worst Walmart. They have locked up almost everything you need for daily living. Laundry detergent, razor blades to make up. Which I totally understand due to theft. I wanted 24 mins to get laundry detergents. Only managers have keys and all managers were on a break at the same time. Next time I ordered online to pick up in their store. Checked in at the pick up kiosk and waited 35 min for any help. I only got help by calling the store on my cellphone. Asking for a manger. Even after that it took 20 more minutes. Well I use to get all my prescriptions here without issue, but I'll be changing Pharmacies ASAP. These idiots failed to inform me that my insurance couldn't fill a prescription without prior authorization. Mind you, this prescription is for an antibiotics for my EYES for post surgery. If I get an infection I could go blind! I say fine, I'll pay cash, they say then we have to drop your insurance! Are you F*CKING kidding me?! I'd rather pay $150 than risk going blind! Instead of notifying me of this issue when I dropped off my prescription BEFORE my procedure so that I could contact my insurance and whatever else necessary, they say NOTHING. I have never received such poor customer service in my life. Thankfully the pharmacist on staff today understands the severity of the situation and is working her hardest to help get my prescription situated. read more

Walmart staff here only know to stock shelves. Department staff are rarely ever in their department. Even then the multiple times have I been here and no one knows where anything is or have any helpful assistance.
