All self checkout registers only accept cards. No cash. There are usually only 2 registers sometimes 3 with actual employees ringing up customers with other payment methods. Be prepared to wait at least 15+ minutes to purchase your groceries if you are paying with cash. Even curbside orders take over 15 minutes to come out even with a reserved pick up time. Staff is not friendly or welcoming at all. I genuinely hate going to this Walmart but it is the only one in Folsom unfortunately. On several occasions I have received missing items in my drive up and delivery orders as well as rotten strawberries, mangos and apples. Employees will nearly run you over with their pick up order shopping carts while carelessly pushing them full speed in the store. I like to save money and get the best deal possible but I will just start shopping at Raley's around the corner for better service and product. read more

Love my local Walmart. Great prices and selection. Excellent Customer Service too.... Until today. I went to get a money order at 9 am on Monday June 4th and a Diet Coke. I was assisted by Doug a 15 year Walmart employee. He could not figure out how to ring up both items and had to cancel the request twice. I don't work at Walmart but I think I could figure out how to ring both items together. Doug's customer service skills are atrocious. He was very rude to me after I inquired if he knew what he was doing. Perhaps Doug needs retraining? Maybe Target is a better option in Folsom without Doug. read more

Used to love this place. It was cheap and During Covid we loved to shop online then pick up at the store. We recently stopped going here because right outside the entrance were always 2 ladies harassing the customers to buy something of their table of trump 2024, MAGA, let's go Brandon, fuck Biden put on t shirts, mugs, cups, all that stuff. I will not say my political opinion but even if you like trump and are a good person you should be mad at it. They should not have ANYTHING out their persuading political opinions if it's trump or Biden. Called cooperate a few times (like 7) and still upset to see it continues. The people at this location's customer service station are terrible. It's embarrassing enough having to use EBT but we all have hard times right? Well it's even worse trying to return something you bought with EBT (cash card). I had to return some gifts that I had bought for people for Christmas so that I could buy diapers. I didn't save the receipt because they were gifts I didn't think I would be needing to return them. Well I had to return them and it was one of the worst and lowest points of my life. The first girl (I didn't catch her name) was very condescending and treated me as if I stole the f***ing hot coco gift boxes. The manager had to come and ok totally equal exchange. They couldn't even just put it back on my card. Ok fine so I went to get the diapers and got back in line to do the exchange, well I didn't get the same girl to complete the transaction. I got Anna, and this chick was rolling her eyes every 5 seconds. She at some point said I need to get the managers approval and at that point the other girl waived to her saying he said ok (another eye roll) then she loudly says well does he want to put it under his name cause........ another eye roll. I must have received at minimum 5 eye rolls in 5 minutes time. What happens after Christmas and people done have receipts and it wasn't purchased on there card because it was a gift? Are you going to treat everyone with eye rolls? I shop here at least twice a week and love all the other employees, I see some of them so often they know my kids by name and make it a point to stop and say hi to them. If customer service makes any more money then your regular checkers Walmart you should probably trade them out. read more

Never, ever, come here. Ever. The other customers that come here make you feel uneasy. One of my family members didn't notice that another person was peaking in her purse until an employee told her about it. It's also a bit annoying trying to get through isles when people bring their entire family of 9. One visit here there were about 5 families of around 9 people, which made it pain getting into every isle. It's also really annoying having to request things behind the locked glass shelves. I can see why they do this considering customers even try stealing from other customers, but it just creates this uncomfortable feeling of having to ask for permission to get things from behind the glass. Just don't come here. Drive to a different Wal-Mart. The employees should be given a raise for everything they deal with here. I know it must take some really patience working there. read more

CHRISTMAS CARDS 14 days late (and no longer in time for Christmas). I don't actually shop at Walmart most of the time, so I can't review how the majority of the store is. However, I was very unsatisfied with the experience I had ordering 2021 Christmas Cards from the photo center (they ended up being 14 days late and not in time for Christmas). I usually use a different company but decided to give Walmart a chance since the prices were good. It originally showed they are due to arrive 12/10, so I had plenty of time to send them before Christmas (I ordered 12/5). I was supposed to get a notification when they arrived but didn't hear anything on the 10th, so I gave it a couple days before calling the store, and they said they hadn't arrived yet. My online account showed it's delayed but didn't tell me when the new date was and they couldn't help me. I had to call the online Walmart number a few tunes to get updates, and they finally gave me a FedEx tracking number. The information there kept changing too. It showed that the cards arrived in Sacramento on 12/16 but they didn't attempt to deliver them until 12/19, meaning they just sat there for 3 days! And on the 19th it says they had a failed delivery attempt at 4:31pm. This was frustrating for me because I know for sure the store was open then and they should have found someone they can give the package to. I called the store to inquire about why they might not have been able to deliver, and they shared with me that it would be almost impossible not to be able to deliver. I honestly was thinking FedEx didn't really try but said they did. I ended up calling FedEx on 12/20 and the lady on the phone said it shows Walmart was closed when they attempted to deliver. Again, I told her it was not. She then promised me multiple times that she was going to personally make sure that they deliver it the next day. They did not. I called them a couple days in a row but nothing kore ever happened so I decided to stop wasting my time. At that time they weren't going to make it in time to send before Christmas anyway. Another frustrating thing during all of this was that the fed ex tracking kept changing. Even though it originally arrived in Sac on 12/16, it changed the arrival dates to later dates, which seemed that maybe they were trying to hide the fact that they have had it sitting there so many days. The first attempt to deliver had been 12/19 and they didn't end up delivering it again until 12/24 at 10:11am. At that point it was Christmas Eve and we were visiting family, so I wasn't able to get them that day. And they were closed on Christmas Day. When I did finally get them, there were some cards in there that didn't belong to me, but a different family. And not all envelopes had my address printed on the back like it was supposed to. I had a different friend kit receive envelopes at all. Looking at my account today, it still just shows it as "delayed" so they need to fix their online account tracking program. And honestly, FedEx had a horrible reputation for being late so Walmart really shouldn't use them, but should use more if their own delivery trucks. When I talked to them they blamed it all on FedEx but I blame Walmart for using them. And Walmart never tried to reach out to FedEx to get it there as soon as possible... it was up to me to do that. Also, why couldn't they just print the order at the photo center? Why did it need to be sent to the Folsom location from somewhere else? One positive was that at one pout in the middle of all this I called Walmart to ask about getting some money back, and they gave me $5 back. At the time I thought that was okay because I thought I'd still send them in time for Christmas. But since I got them after Christmas we ended up not even sending all of them, since there wasn't a point of wasting stamps to send them AFTER Christmas. I honestly feel like I'm owed more money back and am extremely dissatisfied with how it all took place. I greatly regret using the photo center for my Christmas photo cards. read more

I don't know what they are doing, but, K-Mart was much better with their customer service and now they're almost out of business! Wow this store is super depressing in a retail sort of way. I've been here a number of times (and I'm sure I'll go back again if I'm ever in a bind) and almost every time I notice how eerily empty many of the shelves appear. The last time I was there, I needed eye drops, but wanted to walk around (the store layout is so counter intuitive) and see if I needed anything as long as I was there. I went down the laundry aisle and it looked like there was a hurricane or flood or snow storm coming - the shelves were so empty! Other than that, the store is just blah and not a place I want to go unless I really have to (i.e. when everyone else is sold out of something in the area). I know they keep prices low, but this store really needs to clean up their act - stock the shelves, hire more checkers and get the store more organized. I should add, that the refrigerated and frozen foods looked full, but this may have been the only bright spot. Oh and I also went here for a job interview. I had a PT job in retail and was looking to get another PT job. After getting about 1/3 of the way through the interview process, the manager said that I would work in the produce section. I asked about the hours and he said it would be PT and I would work up to 24 hours and would have to be available from 6 a.m. to 12 midnight. He said I could not have two PT jobs because if I missed too many shifts I would be fired. But wait, I asked how many hours on average the typical employee works - he said 16 hours (but I could work "up to 24"). Hmmm.... on call all day long and I'd only work 3-4 days a week? Customer service has always been a problem at this Walmart (at least for people of color) but this guy named David working returns seems to look for reasons not to help customers... he's totally lazy, I came in for a store credit knowing I'd lost my receipt but not knowing I'd need an ID... the nice women behind the counter was willing to look at the pic I took of my ID in case something like this happened BUT DAVID didn't even let me finish my sentence before he decided he wanted to go back to standing around and playing with putty... what a shame if you don't like your job don't make it harder on those around you.... My husband used to work at Walmart in Folsom. My husband has a disability from a hit and run when he was 10 years old that left him in a coma. Depending on his leg/foot pain he uses a cane. When he came in to work management took my husband in a office and questioned him for using a cane. Also, while he was working at Walmart customers made racist comments such as (this is the problem with this country) meaning Mexicans, Latinos, Hispanics were the problem. My husband being cool collected and quiet continued to mind his own business. On another incident when my husband was at a register a customer was upset over a receipt and scratched my husband's hand. Later on a different day I saw another Worker named Jacob yell at my husband in front of a line of customers. The morale and respect lacks at this Walmart for workers of a minority group. read more

I usually leave big bags of some sort in my car so I have them whenever I have to make a stop here last minute without planning ahead of time. Folsom Walmart's new Law: "When you have expired license, You, Your family and your friends cannot drink liquor and buy liquor in Folsom Walmart, even though you are above 21 years" Problem : Requested my wife(40 years old) to get a pack of beer for our party at home yesterday(2/18). When my wife was asked to present a id card, she gave her DL, without realizing that it was expired 3 months ago. So, she was denied the beer, fair enough. She requested her friend, who was shopping along with her in walmart to provide her driver's license, which was valid and she is 45 years old. Now the walmart employee again refused to sell the beer to my wife's friend. Now this it totally unfair, calling it as third party sale. Clearly the law is that you cannot buy a liquor only for someone who is less than 21 years old. This third party law do not apply to these 40 and 43 year olds. When my wife said that she will go out of store and let my 43 year old friend with a valid license buy the beer, the walmart empoyee told that as long as he is here, they cannot buy a beer tonight in this walmart store. Feeling totally humiliated and insulted, they left the store. I cannot think of any reason for this rude behavior in walmart except for racists discrimination, as the walmart employee is a white american and my wife and her friend are asian indians...This is not about a beer...its about equal rights and fairness in treating customers. Now me and my friend went to walmart along with my wife and her friend asking for explanation, now the same walmart white employee told, that no one here along with my wife can buy liquor in this store, even though we all had valid id and money. what does this infer? Employee RENEE who works weekends at the Folsom Walmart GETS 6 STARS. Walmart and the rest of the employees that were on shift that day should get . RENEE WAS OFF WORK and doing her personal grocery shopping when I opened the milk door and the shelf was broken so a half gallon of milk fell off the top shelf barely missing me but breaking on the floor and it flooded milk everywhere. NO ONE WOULD HELP...MEANING NONE OF THE EMPLOYEES...THEY EVEN REFUSED TO HELP WHEN RENEE ASKED FOR THEM TO CALL CLEAN UP. While I waited with her which was about 10 minutes no one but another stock employee came by. Ask renee who he is she will remember. They have an employee in the garden center that makes me fear to even go into this store! I was walking through the garden section and he was putting up ornaments that were clearly broken, he even mentioned to another employee that they were broken but that he was going to put them up anyways because the customers don't matter. Then not even 5 minutes later I hear him getting REALLY loud with a customer saying that he wasn't going to deal with him and that the customer should leave him alone. I didn't even hear the customer as the employee just got louder. After he walked away he called somebody and was telling them that he was trying really hard but that the customers at Walmart were HARASSING HIM!! This guy clearly has no customer service skills and shouldn't be on the floor during regular business hours. Went and told the manager I seen walking on the floor and got the typical oh thank you for telling me I'll go talk to him. Did some grocery shopping today. This location is my go to for grocery shoppingeven though I have grocery stores not too far from my house. However, I'm willing to drive a few more miles to visit this Walmart. They have everything I need at this location and it's definitely a one stop shop. The store is generally clean and pretty well organized which I appreciate. While I've been here multiple times to grocery shop, today was a bit different. I was looking at the NYE stuff and was just about ready to leave. A lady with an iPod looking this approached me and asked me if I was ready check out. It was perfect timing or else I would have bought stuff I didn't need so I said yes. Usually when I get approached like that the cashier guides me to their lane but this time she asked "are you paying cash or card?" So I said card. Then she asked if I wanted to check out with her. Oh the convenience. I wasn't in any line, I was chillin by the NYE stuff and she started scanning everything in my cart. I asked her about bags, she said I can charge you for the bags, if you want to grab them by the self check out station. No biggie. After she scanned everything she texted me my receipt. I didn't have to get in line or take any of the stuff out of my cart. I personally bagged all my stuff but it was no biggie because I probably would have just used a Scan and Go lane but I loved the convenience of just having someone scan everything in my cart, take my payment, and that was it. Been going to this Walmart for years and have always had so-so experience. Yesterday was different...went into the garden center as I am doing a garden project for and with my young son. The employee in garden center (Dane) was busy moving some pallets, in the 90 degree heat no less, and was clearly busy. I asked him about seeds and pots and he stopped what he was doing and started asking me questions about the project. He spent about 20 minutes with me and when we were done I had gone from novice to expert in the project...He helped by choosing soil and guided me towards small plants instead of seeds (young kids are impatient he said so getting small plants will keep them interested). At any rate - I wanted to compliment the store and this garden center employee...it was only a little thing but he took the time and provided great customer service...my kid will be really excited. read more

12/21/22: Walmart needs customer service training for ALL management, supervisors and employees with better customer service policies. Moni, Team Lead closed customer service early, before closing time (7pm) due to an "emergency".  Moni knew how to do returns but refused to help two of us.   A woman tried to return another day and was told to come back today.  I also missed the previously so we both were frustrated that they were being frivolent with our lack of time during the holidays to deal with returns.  Moni was trained to do returns but said he was "unable to help us".  He did not seem to know what to do or say, but just kept repeating that the customer service was closed due to an emergency (people called in sick).  Myself and the other woman told him we both work in customer service and would never treat our customers this way.  If you know how to help someone and represent your company, you should help your customer. Another time, I was SO exhausted (single Mom of 2 little ones & work full time) but had to go grocery shopping.  I got to Walmart later than I intended and my phone was dead so I didn't know the time.  The store was closing so I was rushing to get everything.  The female lead/supervisor made me go to the self checkout since I was a few minutes late.  It was embarrassing because the store staff was just staring at me as I checked out and I wanted to cry because I was so mad at them.  I was so upset at the lack of service and respect.  I spend ALOT of money there every month.  It's the only store I usually shop at.  If they don't shape up their customer service, I'm out... read more

As a motorcycle driver a lot of the time I have to have a backpack to carry personal belongings. I came to Walmart to return some flashlights and buy a razor. I was told I could not bring my backpack in and that they would not watch it for me. I understand the store rules but when it comes to using logic this Walmart lacks a lot. I told the women at the front I wasn't trying to make their lives harder but if they wouldn't watch my bag I'd be bringing it in and to have a manager come find me in the men's care isle. Leaving my bag in my motorcycle is like saying "hey someone here's some free stuff". I don't appreciate the fact that the women up front made a scene about the issue. Like I said I understand store policy but if a woman can bring a purse in a motorcyclist should be able to bring a backpack inside. I even offered to let them hold my Id so I could be located if I committed a crime. I talked to the manager as well and the manager laughed at the fact they went so crazy over a backpack. read more

Pretty well set up and easy to find items. Lines move well. Store is pretty clean. Parking lot is big with good street access. read more

So, I see there are some really horrible reviews for this store, and I can't really speak to that as my review is not actually about the store itself, rather a couple of employees in particular who were kind and helpful today. My husband and I are honestly not big Walmart shoppers, but after four failed attempts to find a tall Noble Fir Christmas tree at various lots, my husband suggested we try Walmart as it turned up in a "Christmas tee lot" search. I said there was no way we were going to find a tree there, but to my surprise there were plenty of 8 foot Nobles to choose from (and for only $65). Only trouble is they were all wrapped up so we are gambling that we picked a good one .. but although I felt it was worth mentioning, that is not even the reason for my review. While we were looking at trees, we heard a meowing coming from underneath the trees. It sounded like a young cry, so when my husband went in to buy supplies to tie the tree on top of our car, I searched for the source of the meows. I saw a Walmart employee, a young man, walk by so I called him over and he helped me search. He was truly interested in helping. Turns out he has cats at home. I could tell! We finally found the kitten and I tried to get her to come over to me, but she was very shy and scared. I waited patiently and continued to talk to her, and she started to come closer each time. I texted my husband and asked him to buy some wet cat food and bring it to me. I opened the can and set it down as close as possible to where the cat was hiding and she eventually came out to eat it. My husband was tying the tree on the car, so I continued to try and bond with the kitten. After she ate, she finally came over to me and I was able to pet her, and then pick her up. My husband came back and I handed her over to him (she could tell he is a cat person, too!) while I ran inside to get a cat carrier. Nice employee #2 was a young man in the pet section and when I explained to him what I needed, he helped by giving me a generous discount on the carrier. It was really nice to have a couple of young guys be so willing to pitch in and help! p.s. Walmart kitty was taken to the vet and checked out fine and is doing well! read more
