Why is no one else freaked out that birds live in this store. Here is my story. I am not a regular Walmart shopper. Today's trip only happened because I haven't been able to find a lot of Toy Story toys and that's all my youngest wants. Online it looked like this store had a decent selection. I should've known better than to believe anything I read on the internet, because all they had was 3 items that were strewn willy nilly throughout the entire disheveled toy area. As I'm looking at the holiday items, I heard a loud whooshing accompanied by a fluttering sound and two black blurs speed past me overhead. I nearly ran for cover, but the other ladies in the aisle I was in(one was an employee) didn't bat an eyelash. So I figured maybe I just thought I saw something in the corner of my eye or I was hallucinating. No biggie. This happened several more times. After the second time I realized that they were birds. Birds. Even though I'm not opposed to birds in general, I can't imagine being dive bombed or pooped on would add to the quality of my shopping experience. I'd also like to state that birds don't belong anywhere near fresh groceries. All and all it made for an exciting yet vomit inducing trip that I hope to never relive. PLEASE beware before you order an expensive item from Walmart.com to have it delivered to your home! We ordered a laptop during the Black Friday sale and was waiting days for it to be delivered.. customer service claimed the otem was "canceled " by the driver and returned to the store but would be delivered the next day for sure....next day and day after that nothing! My husband called back to customer service again and after going back and forth on the phone in circles, and supervisors refusing to get on the phone... they told my husband that the driver signed for our package and stole it... I am sire he stole the entire truck load of items as well. They then tell us we have to go file a police report because they are not screening who they hire and allowing anyone to deliver customers packages!! We are back on hold now after customer service claiming they were transferring us to a supervisor and they hung up the phone.. this is yet another hour despite the 1 hour we were previously on the phone. When I heard this would be a Superstore I was excited. During construction it was dreadful to shop, so unorganized, you couldn't find everything you wanted ever! Now that they are open for months it's not any better the service is awful! I have tried, tried many times to purchase lunchmeat at the deli and never been waited on! The produce department is never fully stocked never! I tried to get ladies sports socks out, tried to get some craft items it's always a mess!! Needed lightbulbs well again out and tried to purchase a bike and not a person in sight to help me!!! When I called for someone no one knew how to get the bikes off the taller shelves down!!! Understaffed, messy, and generally an unpleasant place to shop. Expect to be ignored in the deli, find the shelves bare for the 5 things you came in specifically to get, no bags for your produce, and super long lines at the checkouts. Half the carts seem to have been hit by cars in the parking lot, so they make noise and don't steer well. As a bonus, they will stop you on your way out of the store and make you feel like a criminal while they examine your receipt and your cart. Other Walmart stores aren't nearly such a disaster - steer clear of this one if you can. read more

It's Wal-Mart, so you either love it or hate it. I really do not mind it either way, it serves its purpose. They have everything you need, sometimes not the best of prices, other times insanely cheap. Some departments are disorganized, others not so much. Clientele and employees actually a bit better than average when comparing other locations. I shop in the grocery section sometimes, and its not too bad as it is definitely improving with time. Produce here is not terrible, but certainly expensive or unavailable. The employees are usually friendly, but the service does take a lot longer then one would expect. Self-checkouts are available but often have a line as well. Once you get out, you'll hopefully have everything you need (or realize you need to go back in again...) read more

This location, in Glen Ellyn, recently moved it's grocery pickup from one side of the building to almost the complete opposite side about a month and half ago. Now it's more inconvenient for pickup customers get and leave. The employees also have to travel further to deliver groceries. As of about 3 weeks ago all ice cream products are showing 'out of stock'. This is likely related to the pickup location move, maybe the freezers are too far away or there is no 'cold' storage for pickups anymore. The other frozen items I was able to get were warm when I got home. They probably think customers won't care/notice the warm, perhaps with dangerous bacteria growth, items you get. Ice cream was probably dropped because it's obvious if its warm as it will leak all over. This means all this is intentional on managements part. The pickup employees, who were always friendly prior to the move, now seem more stressed out and in a terrible hurry as well. I can't blame them, I blame the store manager, who likely makes several hundred thousand a year per Google posts, for making what appears to be a terrible decision and/or awful planning/implementation. Seriously not a single ice cream product anymore? I no longer purchase from this location. If Walmart's 'plan' was to loose customers, they did an excellent job. I normally stop here because it's on my way home from work and the Naperville location is past my house. This specific Walmart is understaffed and understocked. I've experienced one staff on one occasion that was friendly and extremely helpful with trying to help me look for an item that they said was available online but it wasn't. Although, many other times the staff had no idea where items were or what I was referring to and it's always out of products. I bought my Schmidt's deodorant here once and it was extremely hard seemed old and eventually broke out my skin, I've never had that problem before. Also, because of the self check out I've only ever seen 1 register open. Why have a row full if there's only 1 cashier on duty? I hate self check out! Not everyone wants to bag a shopping cart full of items! I'll never grocery shop here again and will just use this location if needed for small items. Lastly, they check your receipt upon exit every single time! This is the absolute most poorly managed Walmart I have ever been to. Unfortunately it is the one really close to my house. They are constantly out of cases of Coke? They are constantly out of staple things. That seems like an easy fix but never happens. Granted Saturdays and Sundays are busy but they are never staffed enough. I thought when they were transitioning to a Super Walmart that was open 24 hours they would finally get good management. That was a pipe dream. If you have nothing to do on a Saturday or Sunday go to Walmart, grab 5 things then sit in line for 15 minutes guaranteed..... seems to me if Walmart really cared about management they would be making millions more per year. I totally agree with the other reviewers. This location by far has the worst customer service ever known. I have been here couple of times for small purchases, but there are 2 instances, where i got a mattress and 2 bikes for the summer. Time when i got the mattress, I paid online and wanted to pick up from store. I got a notification from store saying the mattress is ready for pick up and also verified the same on fedex and it was indeed delivered to the store. So i walk to the store to find out about my mattress, and they say it is not delivered, i tell them i got a notification, and they say it might have been a mistake and i showed them the sign off by walmart associate to fedex. Then they made me wait for 20 minutes, and the manager came back to say it is not there, then they made me wait another 40 minutes and i was beyond mad. Then they come tell me they dont have anyone to look for my mattress. Then i got a hold of a guy who seemed like he was working in the warehouse, to see if he could check for my mattress and he finally did get it out. Seriously 1hour and 15 min to pick up a mattress which i had already paid for??? 2nd time i go to buy a bike. My wife and i picked 2 bikes we like and I wanted to find out if i could have the front wheel removed to haul the bike in my car and asked for help. The store associate Imtiaz, who was very bad with customer service and very rude said that it cannot be done. His words..." Buddy this is America, you need to pay for everything. I called to identify whether this location carried a specific item before I drove all the way there. I was transferred to the toy department, and I asked whether they had the item in stock. This unbelievably rude and lazy girl instantly responded saying no they did not have it. I politely informed her that I find that difficult to believe, because I had seen the item at various other Walmarts and it's a popular item. I asked that she actually physically check instead of just telling me by "memory" of the stores entire inventory. She sarcastically said that she would go look, then put me on hold with the intent to never pick it back up. Luckily, a very kind man noticed that the line was on hold and answered. I went in to return a item that I purchased at another store. Just wanted to exchange the item. This was at 4:30 on Friday July 22. The customer service clerk was so rude, had me go to the dept find the item, because I did not have a receipt and the item was missing a tag. Tried to tell her it didn't have a tag when I purchased two sets of the same item then interrupted me telling me never ever take off tags and save my receipts. Then she said I got the wrong size I told her that they were out of the size. Same type, different size, then she let out a sigh and paged someone from that department who returned without the same size too!! If I could give this store zero stars I would. I've experienced nothing but lack of customer service and rude employees. Now today, I go to the store looking for bikes for myself and my wife. Online it says they have them in stock but I don't see them on the floor. So an associate goes to check in the back and confirms they have them, he took a picture of the box with his phone and showed me and asked if they were the right ones, they were. He said that if I placed the order for them online then I would get free set up and I could pick them up all put together. So I placed the order online and a little while later I get an email saying the order was processing and I would get an email when they were ready for pickup. Well a while later I still hadn't gotten notification they were ready so I checked the order status and it said both items (bikes) had been returned! I was bewildered. I can't understand why they would say returned so all I can think of is that considering the lack of friendliness and customer service I've experienced in the past, someone was too lazy to put them together. I called the 1-800 number for walmart and they said the order was cancelled by the store but it didn't have a reason why and said the bikes still showed in stock. They said I could place the order again if I wanted, but the money I spent on the bikes hasn't even been refunded yet so it's still tied up. This is absurd. I've had many more horrible experiences with this store and these employees, this is just the last straw. I've waited over 30 minutes at the online order pickup counter, I've waited over 30 minutes at the electronics counter while having even a MANAGER tell me they were going to send someone over (which didn't happen obviously). This place is a MESS. Please save yourself the trouble and DO NOT SHOP HERE. These people do not want to work. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went there with a receipt because I got double charged, so obviously i am coming back and getting my money back. One of the ladies in the yellow vests told me I needed the box. Why? I don't know. A receipt should be enough. Any who i drive home, which is 25 minutes away, then to just tell me I didn't need the box? Then they only have 2 registers open so I am now waiting 15 minutes until one of the two ladies can help me. They had no idea what to do or how to do their jobs. This review is based on the Customer Service Department. I have never witnessed such incompetence and rudeness. Tried to return a WALMART BRAND ITEM with receipt after it broke in a week. First person stated could not do this without a owners manual. Then we stood our ground stating how stupid this was, with no raising of our voice at all, just pleading our case. Then two more people came out of the back room, one at a time, and was so obvious they were just defending the previous persons actions. Last person was stumbling on her words so bad thought she was going to choke. African American lady with long hair by far had the worst attitude! So they refused to return item. So I'm writing a review for Walmart, of all places...so much to say, so little room to type it. So Walmart...is Walmart, they're pretty much all the same. I was happy to learn this one has become a Super Walmart, and decided to stop in earlier this week to do my grocery shopping. Somehow I spent $140!!! I did, stock up on a lot of items for around the house so it was more than just groceries, and saved $14 in coupons. Stopping in after 5pm on a Monday wasn't horrible...it wasn't crazy crowded, though they only had 2 or 3 registers open - FAIL! If anyone knows how retail goes, everyone shopping checks out at the same time! They have a lot of elderly staff here, and let's just say they take their time, so add that to the wait. I think I spent a good 2 hours in there by the time I got out and done shopping. I will give this place props though about stepping up their game in the nutrition section... they sell Lenny & Larry's Protein Cookies - 3 or 4 in a box for like $6 when they are about $3 each at my gym. They also sell a variety of flavors of power crunch protein bars, another one of my favorites! They also have a large selection of Atkins products, which Target lacks so this place gets a whole entire star just for that aisle alone. I don't like to come here often, though it saves me some $ as some things can be cheaper here. read more

Walmart is Walmart. The prices can't be beat, despite the weirdness that comes with them. This location has a good range of products and pretty big. The produce is hit or miss, I've had some good and bad luck, but I feel like that's the chance you take! It's clean and the staff are helpful. The customer service was efficient for me but I just had to return light bulbs and had my receipt. While waiting in line the staff at the desk were dealing with the typical Walmart crazies, and to the staff person's credit who helped me, when I stepped up they were able to put on a smile and help me pretty quick. read more
