Against my better judgment I decided to go to the Walmart today. Anyway I was lined up to go through self serve when an employee came along put on a yellow and orange vest , grabbed a whistle blew it real loud and yelled - RED LIGHT. I didn't understand what that meant so I asked her. She turned her back on me and told the guy in front that I was being sarcastic and proceeded to ignore me. Anyway she was walking up and down the self serve line blowing this whistle screaming Red Light. I never did figure out what that meant. The people in line didn't understand why she was screaming Red Light either. Regardless of the reason Walmart should not have an employee with a special vest blowing whistles at the customers and screaming RED LIGHT. Call me old fashioned but I don't like having someone blow a whistle in my ear to communicate with me. read more

I went in to this store to buy a TracFone prepaid minutes card. I usually get them at Target with absolutely no problems, but I happened to get a call as I was driving by this Walmart and I was out of minutes. I should have known there would be a problem when I watched the cashier fumble around on the order for the customer in front of me. Somehow, I don't know how, but she charged me $40 for the prepaid card and did not activate the card. Unless activated, those cards are useless. I always assumed that it was done automatically by the register but apparently not at WalMart. I checked my receipt before walking away from the cashier. It had no notation on it "Activation Successful". That is the notification that is always on the receipt whether I've bought it at a grocery store, Target or anywhere else. I asked the cashier to fix it. She didn't know anything and became belligerent and called over the Customer Service Manager "Grace". They said they didn't know what I was talking about, that the notation was "never" made on their receipts. SHE became belligerent when I demanded my money back because the card is unusable unless it is activated by the store. She called the "manager" who said that it shows up on the register display when it is paid for. She smarted off to me and stomped over to the register to prove I was wrong. It didn't show up on the register display either. Bottom line - I paid $40 for a prepaid card that was useless and they REFUSED to refund my money AND threatened to have security throw me out of the store. Go to Target instead. Their products and prices are much better - and so is their customer service! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! read more

I went to the tire and lube here today. The man changed my tire and was abrupt with me. Then I went to pick up my car and the battery was dead. In shock with this and they hardly helped me. Ended up waiting 30 more min for them to find a car to jump it. Will not be back! read more

I recently took my car in to the automotive dept to get a new battery. Well something went wrong and my car was broken. I spoke with the store manager, Rusty, who promptly had a 3rd party come in and fixed my car. He also refunded my money for the cost of the battery and gave me a gift certificate. A few weeks later my started having problems again. I called Rusty and again he handled the problem very professionally. Rusty is an excellent manager who is actually concerned with his customer's well being. Thanks again to Rusty! read more

I love the Walmart at East Chase, I use the one on Precinct line often also. Today I purchased (3) Magazines and (6) cards from the Precinct line store which never made it home. I thought, perhaps, the young lady put them all in the same bag but forgot to turn the "Lazy susan" so I could get them. When I got home I unpacked everything and noticed this bag was missing. I double checked the car but the bag was not in the back seat with my husbands walker, nor in the trunk with his wheelchair. I drove back to the store and a "manager" took the receipt and went into a room... I suppose that's where the video cams are. She came out said I left with all the bags I purchased. I told her she was mistaken but of course I wasn't allowed to see the tape. This has happened to me before and I've ignored going back but since one of the cards was a sympathy card and another was a card for my grandson who just joined the Marines I really wanted to mail these two cards today. I suppose I'll have to go to East Chase and repurchase the items but, I'm very upset. The $40.39 +tax will not "break me or make me" but I'm sure they've done this to others so the store may be making a very nice profit. read more

My central air conditioning went out so I went to this Wal mart to get a couple of ac window units so we wouldn't die in this Texas June heat until we can get the other fixed. I went up to an associate and asked were the units were located at. She said...it's not THAT hot out. I completely ignored her and went to find the units. Once located, I asked another associate if she could help me since I've had recent spinal surgery and couldn't lift them into my cart. She said she would find someone to help me. She never got anyone, and passed by me twice and just ignored me. Finally, a male walmart employee came down the aisle followed by the other associate that made the comment to me about it noting being that hot out. I asked him if he could help me put the ac units in the cart and he was nice and helped me. Then the same girl said AGAIN...it's not THAT hot out. What is this girls problem? She has no idea why I'm buying the units and it's none of her business anyways. Was she trying to dissuade me from buying their products? I don't know, but the fact that she said it to me twice really pissed me off. I don't normally go to this walmart and I will try to in the future go to the one I'm used to. Quite decent for a Walmart. Parking is awful, but what else can you expect? The store is clean and well-organized, the patrons aren't as shady as at many others, and the staff has always been helpful and cheerful. They have plenty of self-checkout lanes, so usually it doesn't take too long to get through the line. Just don't go in the early evening - it's packed. read more

This Wal-Mart is a lot bigger than the one on 121 with a better selection. However, the customer service is horrible. First time I went, the cashier was unfriendly and bagged my hamburger buns with a heavy item. She didn't smile or even greet me. The second time I went, there was a guy stocking bananas as I was trying to pick a good bunch. I guess I took too long because he kept stocking them and almost pushed me out the way. No excuse me or anything. I just walked over to the other side since I was apparently in his way. The cashier obviously didn't want to be bothered because once again there was no greeting and she was complaining about something to another employee. She also threw my stuff in the bags after ringing them up. Keep in mind this was a different cashier than the first. I say to anyone if they don't like customers or at least being cordial to please find another job. These employees definitely need Customer Service training 101. read more
