This store is one of the nicer ones. The aisles are pretty wide, the selection is decent, and everything is kept fairly clean throughout the store. As far as customer service goes, the lines are still way too long for my taste, but the people themselves are really helpful at this location. They all seem to actually care about their jobs and the company they work for... you don't get that too often at Walmart anymore! In the end, I'm still a Target fan for sure, but this Walmart location deserves to be commended for the great job they're doing. read more

Stalls: 2 Urinals: 2 Paper towels/Air dryer: both Music: no Sinks: 3 Baby Change: yes Motion Activated: stall, urinal, sink, dryer Mirrors: yes I did see a cleaning guy leaving as I approached, so maybe it got an unfair advantage, but it's all random anyway. I was kind of surprised by this bathroom, rather clean and pretty nice. They had hooks in the stall to hang your jacket on and even a baby holder seat thing in the large stall, think of it as a baby seat strapped to a wall, nice touch. Nice foaming soap and a motion sink plus the option of towels or dryer was a nice end to the trip. The only downside, is of course the normal group of lovely people that visit Wal-Mart and decide to shit all over the stalls (missed a spot cleaning guy!). Overall, The bathroom was probably one of the nicer looking places inside Wal-Mart, and that's hard to say just about anywhere. read more

I wish Walmart would train their cashiers how to do "price matching." Usually, they get it wrong...and I end up paying more...only to stand in the customer service line to get my money back. To avoid this, I have to go to certain cashiers who know how to do it. If they're not there, then I have to take my chances...it's just so very aggravating...yelp!!! Walmart advertizes about price matching...so why not use some of that money to actually train your cashiers!!! read more

I have to say that this is the nicest and cleanest Walmart I've been to in YEARS! Customer service was excellent and all the employees were dressed correctly! No sagging pants and torn shirts like I've seen at many other Walmart's. I highly recommend this store over ANY other Walmart locations. They also have a pick up center. You order your products online and they put them in the pick up center and all you do is find the locker number that comes to your email confirmation and pick up your products from there! Avoiding all the long lines and with no employees available to open up at new register!! (The biggest issue everyone has with walmart lol) Great job Hurst! Found me a new spot!! The personnel in this store are either incompetent or dishonest (probably the former). When Walmart started their pick up service for groceries I started using it. At first, they gave a receipt for merchandise purchased. About a year ago they discontinued this service and, supposedly, email receipts, although I've never gotten one. Yesterday they pulled the wrong item, when I tried to exchange it this morning I was told I could not do so since I did not have a receipt. Bad experience. There's just this one guy who makes it a bad experience every time. Associate Joseph, who work in the pickup service department was very unprofessional. I have talked to three different managers (2 customer service and assistant manager) and so far no one has been done about it. Using PTSD as an excuse for an employees behavior doesn't cut it at all. The staff here is incredibly disrespectful and rude. I have had multiple issues with rude employees here but the women at the women's dressing room are the absolute worst. Most recently, I went to try on a pair of workout shorts and the lady at the fitting room brushed me off with her hand and said no without even looking at me. When I asked her why she raised her hand as if to silence me and told me no I was not allowed to try them on. When I asked why again she huffed walked over to me and said they have "no protection". I tried to explain to her that they were workout shorts so they defiantly had protection and she said no again. Ordered a deet clothes spray with this stores online system. The order was suppose to be ready by 8:00 pm that same day. The next day the order is still not ready with zero update on when it will be ready. Call customer service which I am very sure was not in the US and the person could not help me with when the order would be ready. So I cancelled the order. Finally get an email from Wally-world saying I had not picked the order up was the reason for the cancellation. This Walmart is much better than the one off of 820. The store is cleaner and I have come across employees willing to go out of their way to help at this location. Once I had placed an online order to pickup some items. I went to the store to pickup and apparently the ball was dropped and my order had not been even pulled yet. The employee that did the pulling was kind enough to drop what he was doing to pull my order right away! Downside to this place is the parking lot, but I wouldn't put the blame on Walmart for it. I frequented this Walmart for some time. After the treatment I received a few nights ago I will more than likely never go back to this location. I walked in at 10:05 PM to get a stick of deodorant. I walked straight to the aisle and straight back to the registers. When I got to the front there were two registers open as well as self check out. The couple in front of me asked if I was paying cash or card, to which I replied cash (Dave Ramsey and all that). She then proceeded to tell me that they had to make a scene to get the lady to let them pay cash as the self service check out was being shut down. Granted there were 8 self checkouts, 3 of which were already closed, and still had about 10 people in line. When the couple in front of me got the open register it was shut down in front of them. They got a little irritated and the lady said she would take care of them at her little stand where she watches people and doesn't really do anything else unless someone needs help or an override. I asked if I could pay for my one item, and she insisted that I had to go to register 18 to pay cash. I looked over to register 18 and 19, and noticed there were probably 10 people that I could see on the back end of the lines. I asked again and was told adamantly "NO! Register 18." The couple who was in front of me asked if I could go first (which I appreciated he kind gesture) but stated that it was not worth the effort as the cashier was rude and it wasn't worth my money to give it to another monopolizing corporation when I could go elsewhere and get better service, even if it cost me more. While leaving the store, I decided I would call back and speak to the manager or manager on duty (what GM would work at 10:00 PM) and waited for 10 minutes on hold and then was hung up on. I will go back to this location one more time to make sure the GM knows how her store is being run (not like she will care , obviously the results on Yelp are showing the low rating). read more

After a HORRIBLE experience with the neighbouring Walmart in North Richland Hills ( see my review) my wife and I drove the additional distance to the Hurst location to see if they would honor the small discount that WalMart had graciously offered for the past 10 years on the 20-30 bicycles that we purchase for a local orphanage for Christmas. After a long wait ( reason for 4 vs 5 stars) the Manager on Duty, Shawn, called his superior at home and was able to approve a small discount on the 32 bikes we purchased. While the NRH store left a bad taste in our mouths, and we are likely to never shop there again, we will still trade with the chain based on Wallmart employees like Shawn. read more

I was in the store today to purchase a camera and a gentleman named Ray in the camera department helped me. Ray was perhaps the most knowledgeable Walmart employee I have EVER encountered in all my years of shopping at ANY Walmart. He displayed a healthy dose of customer service, something that is seriously lacking in our world today. I recommend Ray for employee of the year for Walmart and hope that other employees at Walmart pay attention to the Ray works with customers. Horrible customer I ordered a king sized matress online and when I went to pick it up they gave me a queen. I got it home before o noticed it said king but it was queen. It fully expanded and had he'll getting it back in my suv. The manager didn't offer even sorry just gave me refund. I waited 2 weeks for this matress now I have pregnant finance at home with no matress. Walmart.com said all I could do is order another matress and wait 2 weeks they won't even expedite my order. Went to this Walmart last night with my husband and our daughter. We planned on getting new accessories for his phone and possibly a new tablet for our daughter. Upon our arrival to the electronics department we were almost immediately followed by an photo technician. The electronics associate asked if I needed help as I browsed the department waiting on my husband to get an SD card. I then noticed the photo tech was still trying to keep up with both me and my husband who were separate as I was walking around trying to keep our two year old calm. Every isle we went in after my husband selected a card she went in. There is a department full of people that needed help yet she choose to follow us. I then noticed the manager and Asset Protection agent ( store should really train their Asset Protection people on how to actually follow if they are a plain clothes associate. This guy was horrible at his job). We browsed the department for a good 30 minutes even stopping to look at TVs. I then told my husband we could go to Target to get what we needed since the walmart associates felt we were someone to harass as if we were thieves. He stated he didn't want to go to target since we were already at the walmart and we went towards the front of the store. While headed to the front my daughter noticed the character bedding and we stopped in that isle to notice not only was the manager standing watching but the crappy Asset Protection associate. At this point I told my husband the groceries we were going to get would have to come from another store as I would not feel comfortable spending anymore than we had to in an establishment that was clearly profiling us at the time. Never in my entire life have I felt so degraded and belittled. I understand the store wants to protect their merchandise but the harassing we were subjected to is unacceptable. Newly remodeled, clean, open, and pleasant. The set up and layout of the store is very different than most Walmarts, especially the ones in Houston. Lots of handicap parking spaces, easy to get in and out of the parking lot, but there are never enough checkers. Walmart lines are always long. read more

Walmart Vision Center - They need to wake up and do their job. I was charged $287.24 for glasses and $152 for contacts. I was told I would get a 20% discount on the glasses which I didn't get and then they told me my lenses were not paid for by my insurance because they were progressive. I came home and called my insurance company and they told me I should have only been charged $25 for my glasses and to send in my reciept for the contacts and I would be reimbursed. Now that I have done the work, I have to drive back over there, fight with them to get this right or just cancel everything and go somewhere else. This is such crap. Why can't people do their job?? Unfortunately, while I was there I had to go into the restroom with my 5 year old & newborn...It was filthy & smelled awful! I wasn't able to find most of the brands I normally buy & of course only a few check out lines were open ( sorry but self checkout doesn't count. I don't want to work at Walmart for free. I already have my hands full shopping with little kids, I don't want to check myself out too). Then as I leave the store they want to check my receipt, (I guess because 1 item was too big to fit in a bag) so while my newborn cried I dug though bags looking for the receipt. This is a place where the employee drama is felt by the customers. I was there yesterday and asked a young large Hispanic girl in electronics if they had a certain video game. She said no and then when I said I was returning a game she told me they would not accept it at the customer service desk and wanted to call them for me. I said no, it's ok I will go up there myself when I am ready. She said again, "they won't except the game" bc it's open that's our policy. I said that's fine, I will ask when I get up there and continued to look thru the games. When I did go to customer service I could tell the electronics girl had told them anyway bc the skinny white auburn-haired girl was waiting on someone already but, had me come forward during the other customer being serviced by her. It was obvious she had been "warned" about me. LOL, she lied and told me they would not accept the game back in the store and online (where I bought it) would not accept it either. Then, a pretty black girl said, they will accept it on- line and was very nice. Strange and disturbing. I called last night to tell the manager and the girl that answered said, she's not here and can I ask what this is about? Ugh, more unprofessional behavior. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY SALES ASSOCIATE BRANDON. At around 12:30 am on November 23rd, a friend and I just got off work and stopped by Walmart to buy a gift for our coworker's birthday. We were in the cosmetics section and were there for a while due to being indecisive of what to buy. My friend was in the cosmetics while I went to the body lotion area and I heard a man yell to my friend asking if "he needed anything". He was very loud which was uncalled for. Then I hear someone coming towards me and I turn around and THIS SALES ASSOCIATE NAMES BRANDON IS LOOKING IN MY PURSE!!!!!!!!! He Asked me if I "had something I wasn't supposed to" and I said no and he threatened me by repeatedly telling me "he has sales associates watching us" WHICH I DO NOT APPRECIATE!!! Worst customer experience ever and I have never had a problem with this Walmart except do the other rude old lady who works in cosmetics overnight!! Could you be at least a little fucking professional!!?? Something needs to be done or I will have a conversation with corporate or some other higher rank. read more
