Everyone here is incredibly rude and of zero help. Even the associates who work in "customer service" are a joke. Upon returning an item I was handed a warning, the associate told me I could no longer make returns at Walmart ever. I asked if she could explain why, she stated "read the receipt" and appeared done with our transaction. While checking out I asked for help out to the car with a plastic dresser, being that I'm pregnant I'm unable to lift heavy items. I had to ask another shopper to lift the dresser into the cart from the shelf as I was unable to locate an associate for help. The very young man who appeared to be of a managerial stature said hold on and walked away. I asked again for help and he said I'll be right back. Never came back. Absolutely the worst Walmart I've had the displeasure of trying to get in touch with. They just let their phone ring for hours. This is the third time ive tried to call in and get information on merchandise that their website claims they have in stock, but is never on the shelves. I really wish I could rate this place Zero Stars because some loser keeps hanging up their phone from the 3.50 to 4.47 minute marks. Is that what they trained to do because I have never gotten a person to answer the phone at this location in the last two years. I needed help at the pet section. Needed someone to unlock the area where they keep the dog waste bags. Waited and waited, constantly pressing the button they have for assistance. I asked 3 diff employees for help opening. 2 of them said they didn't have keys or a radio to get someone to come help. And the other one didn't understand that English. And on top of that, the first 2 I spoke to had a major attitude. As if providing some level of customer service was super hard for them. There aren't a lot of Walmart stores in Irvine and I've lived in OC for over a decade. I feel like we are inundated with Target stores. This location used to be a Sam's Club but has since been converted into a Walmart. I can't say much for it. It has a grocery section which is a nice perk if you're looking to do one-stop shopping. I came here to purchase some Marion's Kitchen sauces and marinades since this is the only chain store in the US that carries the brand. Sure, I can buy it on Amazon but you really can't beat the prices at Walmart. I am an avid fan of her YouTube cooking channel and Facebook videos, so I decided to buy her sauces. Coconut Sriracha? I look forward to trying it out. I don't shop at Walmart as often anymore because I don't like supporting their business, but in cases like this, you choose the lesser of two evils. read more

Workers are so dumb, I don't want to say all but especially this one girl who was working the pick up in the parking lot tonight, she was wearing her overalls/messy hair, she was incredibly stupid. Had to pick up multiple orders for different people and she just threw the orders in the trunk, started to mix them up??? I absolutely have this place but, in the interest of marital bliss, we do our weekly grocery shopping here. Dirty everywhere you look. Carts are not cleaned. Poorly stocked shelves. Poorly maintained restrooms. My biggest peeve...they have 11 check out registers but only have one open. And the one that they use has no conveyer belt !!! The majority of shoppers are rolling up with full carts and trying to put them on a small metal counter at the register. Needless to say, it's inefficient and adds to the waiting of those in line. We bag our own items which is also difficult when the cashier is quickly throwing them at you in no particular order. Terribly managed store. read more

My sister gives me gift cards from WM all the time for years. 2 maybe 3 have been duds so i just get the balance transferred to a new one. I had a dud and asked to get it replaced. This store has the right merchandise and workers in almost every aisle, however, the last 5 times I have gone during my lunch hour there are no shopping carts available. You have to go back to the parking are to find a shopping cart. Usually the ones closest to the store are empty because everyone has to fetch their own cart. The purpose of a store is to shop and people need carts for this. Why so many workers in the aisles but none gathering carts? This is a sign of bad management. read more

If only there was a zero star available for this organization. If you buy electrical goods such as an iPod etc and try to return it for an exchange or refund at a different store they won't help you (so I was told). Firstly the staff were telling me I had an iPhone even when the box says iPod! Secondly they wouldn't call the other store because "we don't communicate between stores". When I arrive at the original store I'm told that I could have returned it at any store. Clearly this organization takes its customers as fools, they under train their staff and don't share stock inventory between stores causing a 32 mile inconvenience for this customer. Went to Walmart on Von Karman in Irvine yesterday. We had to find our own shopping cart to begin with. Walmart didn't have any carts near the door. Finally found one way out in the parking lot. Well we finished shopping and got in a line. We had a full cart of grocerie. There were only two regular lines open and one line for 20 items or less. The other lines were self check out. It took us over 30 minutes to check out. Walmart didn't have enough checkers to help customers get through the line. This is poor customer servic! read more

If there is a zero star I would pick that The Branch Manager at this location should train employees esp. Cashiers and the people working at the Customer Service Station. I am always charges twice or more for same item, I guess their scanner is to sensitive that when you buy 1 item - it will scan 2 or 3 times. So always review your receipt before you get out of the store or you will get stuck in the return section with 3 staff who are either too slow to attend to your needs or busy chatting with one another. While it says Supercenter, i am not quite sure, this location is not that huge and does not have a meat, deli or much of a fresh produce selection. However, the rest was fine, not too full and they actually had enough cashiers there so not much of a wait and the staff was nice and helpful as well. I love Wal-Mart for their cheaply-priced things (ex. greeting cards), but this location just bombed for me. First, the service: I was looking for some greeting cards, and after asking two to three employees pointing two different directions, I had to ask another employee. This lady just disgusted me. I asked her where the greeting cards were at, and she replied back, "What cards?" I said, "Greeting cards." She said, "I don't know. I'm sorry." Wait...what?? You're working at a retail store, and you don't know where the hell you stock up your inventory???? Then what's the point of you working here??? Second, check-out: I had four greeting cards in my hand, and there were about two to three people ahead of me slowly taking their time with the cashier, and I was just anxiously waiting in line tapping my foot, because I was in a hurry to get to my appointment after my stop at Starbucks. When it was my turn to check-out, the cashier was just standing there counting her money with the register opened, and I was thinking to myself, "Are you effing KIDDING ME????" I have places I need to go to, and you're standing there counting your money with the register opened. HELLO! There are people standing behind me who are getting a little antsy just like I am. This has been open a year?? How did I not know?? I'm a fan of the super centers and this one just happens to be super close. It took the location of the closed Sam's Club. That being said, super centers don't usually have the Wal-Mart crowd and are cleaner than the regular locations. This super center also has lots of parking but what I don't like is that they were out of normal stuff like milk. I walked by and found that odd. They were also out of cat medication but had enough for dogs. I think they need more staff on hand restocking and also more staff walking around helping out. I could barely track anyone down to help me out but when I did, they were helpful. Aside from those few things, this super center is huge and has lots of different things and a huge variety of stuff which is nice if you're looking for something different and the savings is great if you're on a budget. read more

I'm generally not a fan of Walmart - the shopping experience - I'm probably more inclined to visit Target. However, this store in Irvine (the former Sam's Club), was a nice surprise! It was very clean, stocked well, and the people I spoke with to ask about locations of products, were generally very helpful. One general note: This is NOT a Walmart Supercenter - this is a regular Walmart. It does have a sizable grocery section, which is nice and convenient to pick up all sorts of things in one stop. One downside to this location is that it is NOT open 24 hours (for those of us that like to shop at odd hours), but it is open until midnight. Given the convenient location (on the corner of Barranca and Von Karman), reasonable parking availability, and overall nice store atmosphere, I'll definitely come back to this location for future visits. read more

Walmart for those of us living on Mars the past 20 years is an American discount department store and now grocery store that sells everything from flowers, grocery items, clothing, appliances, hunting gear, and much much more. They also have an online store where you can buy furniture and other goods. I do most of my grocery shopping here and they have good prices on meat and their fruits and vegetables. I also buy some of my clothes here and the price is usually better than what I can find elsewhere. I also use their photo center for my prints and i usually get them back pretty quick. Another thing I appreciated is that I had bought a sweater and I had never used it and lost the receipt. They were able to return it for me and i exchanged it towards my grocery bill and I thought that was pretty cool because most places don't do that. This particular location has plenty of parking although it does get quite busy. They also have a money mart, video kiosk, change machine, and a Cinnabon kiosk at the entrance. If you haven't been here before I recommend giving it a try the prices are great and I personally save a lot of money. read more

This review is for the photo department. I can't believe what I received. I ordered 3 8x11 books for same day. Put the order in by 9am and the website stated books would be ready by 2:40pm. I went at 4:30pm and the employees in the photo department stated they had problems with the printer. I was a little upset especially because they could have called me to notify me but they didn't. I waited and shopped for an hour in the store. When I returned they said they were still working on it and they would call me. I left home and never received a call. By 9 pm I called. Trying to get through to someone was horrible. The operator sent me to the photo department 4 times because no one was answering the phone. When they answered the gentlemen said it was ready. I went in the next morning and was horrified with the quality of work. The pages had an extra border around it which took away from the look I wanted, which was the page with a whole picture on it. The cover looked like if someone wrapped it in clear packaging tape and did it horribly. (See added pictures). The folded part of the outside of the book looked cracked. And the back of the book looked as if someone scratches it across. To know that the employees seen this book and thought it was acceptable was ridiculous. If I could I would give a negative star. read more

Truthfully I know it's not always a good experience going to a Walmart store. Today I had one of the best experiences at this Walmart store. So I was shopping for a Christmas tree for my brother and his family who are living in a homeless shelter and recently fell in hard times. Bring as that I'm in between jobs I only had so much money to work with which isn't much. I asked a Walmart associate which way to the Christmas trees and he went out of his way to take me there personally. I told him my budget and the trees they had left were out of my budget. We looked for a bit and he asked me if I didn't mind who was the tree for. I usually don't open up to just any body and I felt like I could with him. I told him my brother and his family's situation and he immediately told me, say no more on behalf of Walmart I'd like to buy this tree for your brother. He then told me he's the manager and that he's been blessed to work at this Walmart and it's only right to bless others. Man it hit me pretty hard. You only see this stuff on social media. Well Marco I'd like to thank you brother and the other employees who helped my brother with this Christmas tree and toys for the kids. Man you guys are awesome.
