I want to share my experience at the Walmart in Marysville, CA, because it was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. My mother accidentally left one bag of purchased items at the register. Instead of holding them like lost property, the store policy was to treat them as abandoned and restock them -- forcing me to track down every item she purchased. This turned into over an hour of searching the store, hoping items hadn't been sold, and trying to prove to customer service that these were the same items she paid for. This was not only inconvenient, but also completely unnecessary and unfair. Paid merchandise is personal property, and this practice feels like unjust enrichment and conversion (civil theft). What made this worse was the interaction with the store manager. Every time I tried to explain the situation, I was interrupted constantly . I was not heard -- and instead of addressing the problem, I was dismissed. She was egregiously unprofessional and made the whole experience even more upsetting. A simple lost-and-found policy would have resolved this without all the time, stress, and poor customer service. Walmart should rethink this policy. Taking paid property and putting it back into inventory without refund or consent is unethical. Customers deserve respect and fairness. I hope this review reaches the right people so Walmart can improve their policies and treatment of customers. read more

Friday, September 11, late morning: Went into this Walmart very specifically for a 5 ft poseable skeleton that was online and supposedly in stock in this location. I had the aisle # and exact location where it was supposed to be. Found the area pretty quickly, looked on this aisle (where there were bagged skeletons & other types of skeletons but not this specific one) and then went down the other Halloween aisle and couldn't find it. There was a young man working on one of the aisles so I stopped to ask him about it. At first I was not hopeful he would find anything, but I will say that this one young man was the best customer service person. He walked with me to look on aisles, then we both looked up and saw the exact model I was looking for: hanging from the rafters at least 15-20 ft above our heads. He then went to look for some help and started by going to the garden department, as he thought that some Halloween items get pulled to go over there as well. He came back and there were none there, and he couldn't find a manager over there because 2 people were on break. He then asked if I wanted him to go in the back to find a manager for this area. Absolutely, please do. It took quite a while for anyone to come out with him....and the minute I saw the body language of the way the man was walking over, I knew this was not going to work out. Apparently he was the middle man because he kept referring to "he" said we can't take down the skeletons right now because they're for display. I pointed out that there were 6 of them....did they really need 6 skeletons hanging 20 feet in the air for display? And PS, why did the website say I could purchase one here if I can't? He let me know that the online site isn't always up to date with inventory. I let him know that they did, in fact, have inventory...they just weren't willing to actually get out a lift and get one down (learn something from Home Depot on this one, Walmart....top shelf for lumber or tile? No problem...let us shut down this aisle for you and get out the forklift). He said they keep it on display until the week before Halloween and then will "probably" bring them down for sale. I asked if the Yuba City store had them for real since the website said they were in stock there, too. He did try to think about that since he said he had been to the YC location the previous week, but wasn't sure if it was the same situation. NOTE: here was an opportunity to say "let me call them and find out." Nope. Needless to say, this is my first and last visit to this store. Terrible service. My wife signed up for Walmart+ and placed a delivery order. It was supposed to arrive yesterday, but she was notified delivery was cancelled (no reason given) and she had to schedule a pickup today. Still curious why they didn't offer delivery today. She scheduled a pickup time, and we drive to the pickup place, which is full, and called. After about 30 minutes waiting, all the while seeing people who got there after us get their orders, I decided to walk in and see if I could talk to someone. I went in the door the fulfillment people were coming out of (there was no "Employee Only" sign). 15 or so people milling around back there, and one of them approached me. I told him I could have walked into the store and bought the items and been halfway home by now. I wanted to cancel the order. He led me out of the area into the store, then turned and walked back in. I followed and was quickly shouted at that I could not be in the area I had just walked through. So, back to my car, and we left. Went to the grocery store across the street to buy our items and got a call. If we came back they would bring the order immediately. We agreed to go back, parked, called, and waited another 20 minutes. The curbside associate said its always like that the 1st through the 15th of the month, so why in the world would you schedule pickup windows you know you cannot meet? If you cancel a delivery order why would you not reschedule the order for delivery instead of having someone schedule a useless time to have to drive to the store and wait? Do your friends get priority service? Never again. read more

Walmart has the smallest peaches I've ever seen But they had it up at 97 cents my mistake it's 97 cents each not $0.97 a pound. So basically for the smallest crudiest peaches You're paying $4 a pound I can go to raley's a premium store in the area and get them for $2 a pound and they're huge they're 1 lb peaches so just be careful Walmart does not price properly those pieces are worth maybe 35 or 40 cents each based on what other retailers are selling in July in Marysville California home of the peach festival. I recently took my car to the dealership for an oil change, filter, etc, and was absolutely shocked at what they charged me! The next time my car required an oil change I took it to Walmart to have the very same thing done for a fraction of the cost the dealership charged me. The staff is very friendly and they all go the extra mile to assure that customers are pleased. I need new tires for my SUV and to save me several hundred dollars the gentleman helping me suggested that I order my tires online and have them shipped to the store. Instead of paying over $2300 I paid less than $1500!! I'll continue to do business with Walmart! Highly recommend the tire center for both tires and oil changes! My new car requires synthesis oil and instead of $200 the dealership charged me I paid $60 at Walmart! I love saving money! More to shop with! read more

Went online to order a Pit Boss Lexington pellet smoker. It was $400 on Amazon. Walmart had them for $297 but were running a special with $30 off which brought it down to $267 plus tax. Walmart was sold out at most of the locations except for the Marysville location. According to the Walmart website, there were 6 left at Marysville for $267. I put my online order in 45 minutes later and there were none left online. Not knowing if my order went through, I called and was transferred to Shannon, the lead in their OPD department. She tracked down the last one which apparently hadn't yet been pulled from the shelf for my online order. Shannon assured me that it was mine and made sure it was tagged for me for pickup. I picked it up about 40 minutes later. Absolutely the best customer service I've experienced even when compared to higher end businesses. I hope management will take note as employees like Shannon will ultimately climb the ladder and lead by example. read more

If you shop the Yuba City Walmart on Harter Parkway, keep in mind that this store has a lot of rules that other Walmarts don't have about returns. None of these return policies are post in this store or on your receipts so many customers are unaware until they try to make a return. One of these policies, is if you make a cash purchase at another Walmart store, you CANNOT return that item with your receipt at the YC Walmart. Oh well, I guess if you bought something at a Walmart in southern California, you'll have to make another trip there to return the item. Another thing to be aware of, is if you purchase anything in electronic department, you only have 14 days to return it. My complaint is they don't have that policy posted any where in that department nor at the customer service department, to let the customer aware of this! It's in a book behind one of the counters. Also when I called their company, I was told that if electronics were purchased online they have 30 days. If I was aware of that I would have purchased it online or gone somewhere else. read more

Some time within the last week (between 10/21 & 10/25) my dad took his car in to the automotive center at the North Beale Road location in Linda to get the new tires that he had ordered for the car and while he was there he had the oil service done,, the technician must have been rough on the oil dipstick because the loop where the handle is snapped off today, which means that whoever serviced my dads car damaged the dipstick, because the dipstick is now broken off deeper than we can retrieve it and we have no way to remove the dipstick tube to remove the broken piece of METAL and replace it with a new one. You people need to properly TRAIN YOUR STAFF in how to insert and remove the oil dipstick, WITHOUT DAMAGING IT! read more

I was scammed out of $110. I went to this Walmart to get a Lego set for my son's birthday. In the Lego aisle , there were Lego sets locked behind glass, but there were some at the top that weren't. I pressed the button to get an employee's attention but no one came for about 20 minutes. After that, we grabbed a set from the top and we went to the register. When my son opened the Lego, none of the correct pieces were in it. It was supposed to be a Spider-man battle set Marvel collection, but it had bright colored pieces and no mini figures (someone returned it was tape over tape hard to see at first). The next morning, I came back to the Walmart to exchange it, but the employee, named Claire, was rude and denied it. She told me that the Lego would be locked behind glass and factory sealed, so I have to call Lego customer service. She said all she could do was put it back in the box for us. Whew! A whole lotta Linda Wal-Mart hatin' going on up in here. This is the closest Wal to my house, so I do almost all of my grocery/miscellaneous shopping here. It has NEVER struck me as exceptionally dirty or messy... man, have you been to the Wal in Natomas? That place is a dump. This Wal is hospital-sterile compared to that one. Also, this Wal has some of the best people-watching I've ever encountered. There's a gentleman - a larger, older fellow - who likes to shop in denim overalls, sans shirt. Fabulous! And he's just one of many! Harmless fun. Some tweakers, but what are ya gonna do? The parking lot *is* a little busy, but c'mon, it's the Wal. Do you want valet service? There is always TONS of parking to the far right, and farther back. We enter from the Burger King entrance, drive around the back of the store past the oil change and garden center, and just don't even bother with trying to park in the middle front. We NEVER have parking problems. A tiny bit of extra walking never hurts, right? Anyway, it's a Wal. You know what to expect. And in my expert Wal-Mart opinion, this one is perfectly acceptable. Just go to any other Walmart in the surrounding area, ie Roseville, Lincoln. You will avoid all the laziness in these 2 Walmarts, yuba city and Linda. They really should just fire everyone and start new. You cant get help for anything. Even the manager are no help. Tire and oil, man, you better make sure they write the correct oil for your car. These "tech" dont know anything about cars. Also expect to wait at a minimum 30mins before they acknowledge you. If you go inside and ask for the "tech" for the tires or oil , expect to be told they dont know anything. Seriously. Seriously to to Lincoln or Roseville and save yourself time. read more

This is one of the worst Walmart Supercenters that I have ever encountered in my life and shopping experiences. It is the closest thing next to a grocery store in the vicinity of where I now reside, but I hate spending my hard earned money at this store. The parking lot was designed poorly, is always full, is extremely dirty, and there are never shopping carts outside. Once inside, the store is dirty and it seems as though half of everything is missing and out of stock. The employees seem lazy and never want to lend you a helping hand or seem confused because it "isn't their department." My biggest problem is that there is never more than 3-4 cashiers working at the check out stands up at the front of the store. The lines of people will overflowing shopping carts will trail back halfway through the store while other employees walk around looking as if they aren't doing anything related to work. It is extremely frustrating to experience the slow pace of the workers. Notably, the parking lot is under construction, the entrance and exit doors change often, and they are understocked before the holiday season. I hate this store, it sucks. read more
