What a worthless dump. Walmart really just needs to become a grocery store and give it over with. The non-grocery stuff is, well, junk, even by earlier Walmart cheap-China-knockoff standards. The shelves are barren. I have to admit, I pretty much just buy everything except fresh-produce, meat, and bread on Amazon these days, Amazon Pantry is awesome, fill the box with your crap, $5.00 for shipping, and they drop it off. I drive a crew-cab long-box pickup, I can't drive somewhere and back for $5.00, so what I'm doing here, I have no idea. Rude people, some guy almost plowed me over with a 1990's junked-out Subaru when I was very legitimately and casually walking through the parking lot to my pickup at the end of the row, which I would never park in the crowd of junk-cars to get all smashed up. I kept walking the last 5 feet through past the end of the parking space and apparently it was too slow so the jerk-off Walmart shopper lit up all 4 tires to get into the parking spot a little faster or something. Then he asks me if "I have a problem". No, I'm normal, and I risked my life for my country in 4 overseas campaigns, rather than spending my youth in juvenile hall, punk. Oh wow, he has a Walmart vest on, he's an employee. Wonderful. The sporting goods section, junk. Kind of needed a new longer shotgun case as mine was a little snug & short on the pheasant hunting trip last week. Nothing that didn't look like packing foam wrapped with nylon. Ammo prices? 3 times what they are at Bass Pro 100 yards away. I was kind of surprised that they had a couple of things in the RV supplies aisle, and I'll acknowledge that the Camping World across the freeway is probably dumpier than this place. Got my DampRid that I really kind of needed for closing up the RV for a few months for the winter and didn't want to wait the 2 days for it from Amazon. Didn't see anything else of interest. I'm out of here. Never going back... Go to Amazon.com folks, spend your money there, Bezos will use the profits to build re-usable rockets for NASA space contracts. What does Walmart do with it? Treat their employees like crap, attract the scum of the earth as customers (and employees apparently), and act like they are God's gift to humanity for cheap shoes, clothes, and made-in-China crap you didn't know existed 5 seconds before you really needed it. I used to prefer Target, until their zero-spend on cyber security screwed up my wallet full of plastic for 2 months. I'm in that business, what they did and their practices (or complete lack-thereof) were appalling, they should have paid up and covered all the losses, not kicked it to the banks, I won't shop there ever again either (and haven't to this day). Let me start by saying its always easy to let your anger on Yelp and tell all the bad things. For the first time ever I had a very nice thing happen to me at Walmart. I have been to four Walmarts today looking for a certain work boot for my husband and trying to find someone who will help or even wants to help you is impossible. Well I met a young man today that gave me hope not only did he use his own phone and tried to help me but he found the boots I was looking for in the backroom and went and got them for me. You say that's no big deal well to me it is since Walmart customer service is always so bad. I guess I cant blame the workers you get what you pay for and they are underpaid and understaffed . Terrible store. Only two people checking out customers with a line of at least 5 people in both lines. Many Walmart workers who were standing around came up and asked if we wanted to go to self check out. Uh no. With a basket full of stuff I don't. Maybe the 3 Walmart workers who were standing there for 10 minutes just watching could have done there job and opened another register. Some how pushing the do it yourself while no one works is a thing. No thanks. I'll just order from Costco or amazon and get it for cheaper and delivered. Props the the cashier lady though. I went in to grab something quickly, and wasn't impressed. The people working behind the counter at the deli had masks on, but their noses were uncovered. Employees out on the floor wore their masks the same. There is no clear indication at the self-checkout lane where the line begins, and I had people in front of me allowing customers with full carts to cut the line blatantly in front of employees. I've never been impressed with Walmart, and this did nothing to improve that opinion. read more

I was just illegally detained at Walmart in rocklin because I left without my receipt. They stopped me at the door, took me to this room and made me dump my bag out and told me they were calling the police even though I had nothing in my bag. So I got my parents to come and they and they spoke to the loss prevention people who refused to give their names. The loss prevention people told my parents they didn't have any reason to stop me except for me not having a receipt and then the store manager went into the room and wouldn't let us go in, she came out saying they had video of me stealing but they won't show us because they "can't" and that they said what I "stole" wasn't worth enough to detain me. Now the police are there reviewing the tapes so that they can prove I didn't do anything and that I was illegally detained. This is a violation of my 4th amendment right, as well as illegal search and seizure. I am so angry and embarrassed by the way I was treated at this store. The store manager, Esperanza, did absolutely nothing to help me and instead lied to my parents and the police to cover her and her employees from being fired. I will be going to corporate about this and I refuse to step foot into a Walmart again. Absolutely horrible. read more

HI to my Fellow Walmart shoppers - I live near the Rocklin Crossings Walmart and shop there 2-3 times a week. This Walmart is my favorite retail store. (No, I do not work there nor have any connection with the store.) I know the store's layout well and use Self-Checkout. The few times I've needed help in the store - hardware, houseware or groceries - the clerks on the floor have all given **excellent** service. I'm also impressed by the Customer Service Returns staff. Despite a constant line of tired returns and money order customers, she was patient, courteous and efficient. For me, Rocklin Crossings Walmart is the best value for my time and money. read more

This store (and most Walmart stores) has the worst customer service, I called and said "Hi I had a question about getting a key made?" And the girl on the phone rudely replied "okay then what department did you want to talk to?" And when I said I wasn't sure what department handled that she sighed and went "oh my god" before putting me on hold. When I finally got of hold after 20+ minutes the man who answered the phone told me he wasn't sure if I could make a key there! Really? I am in a cast on my right leg...fractured fibular; I placed my order for food that I needed the night before. Walmart automatic service tested me that they had my order and that they would fulfill it by the next day at the time I asked for. I am giving them only 4 stars because I believe they need to iron out a few bugs...1) I went in within the alloted time frame to add to my order and they tried to charge me $30.00 because my add on order was only one item and under $30.00 which is the cut off for free service. Anyway, I did cancel that add on order and just left it the way it was when I sent in my order. I was extremely please with the efficiency and smoothness the way they brought the groceries out to the car and even help us load the car. They had the groceries separated by freezer, cold and staples...The gal was supper great and very pleasant...her name was Aracely.., she could not be more pleasant. Wow! I can not believe the way I was treated by one of Walmart's employees. So I just got off of work so I'm tired and I go into Walmart and head to the electronics section. I grab what I need. There's a blonde hair lady wearing a mask(employee) I see her helping someone so we made eye contact to show her I'm waiting in line. So the people in front of me where taking forever so I was still in line but looking at the laptops. Then I hate to put this out there or maybe I'm wrong but it's what I felt and saw. But I felt like she was racist and didn't want to help. I felt like she tried to avoid helping me and only helped the customers that were all white. As I was waiting the guys left and as I was ready to come up these girls (white) must not have saw me and asked her a question. She answered and helped. Then she told me I was next in line and took off somewhere. So I was still in line and just looking at the laptops because they are close to the register. Then this other older lady comes up and says oh I see your next in line. And I was like thank you I am. So then the electronics lady comes back and looks at both of us. And I was like wtf! In my head. Then the older lady customer was like she's next in line. I felt like if that lady never said anything she wouldve helped that lady. I know what your thinking why didn't I speak up. I was tired just got off of work and didn't want to cause a scene. So anyways the lady rang up my item and bagged it and I said thank you and she said nothing back. I called the manager and told her my experience and she apologized for her behavior. She said she's had complaints before and she'll talk to her. I am always at this Walmart. I have visited almost every Walmart in the Sacramento area. This store is one of the best. I like the store sales and the staff is friendly and helpful. I really enjoy shopping here. Never had any problems or complaints. Many of the Walmart stores are good. I am glad that I live near the best stores. This walmart is dirty and poorly managed. As im waiting in line a 40 year old couple tries to purchase alcohal and the husband had ZERO ID . So mark the checker gets his manager and gets the couple approved to buy alcohol. Our friend jeremy is then stopped for id. Then mark asks all of us for ID even though we are in separate lines. All of our DOBs are well over 21. One of our friends license who was NOT BUYING alcohol, and has not drank alcohol in 3 years, was expired. They denied us after letting a man purchase with no ID at all. I wont give this walmart any more of my business because they are not consistant with their policies. My husband and I recently bought a discounted motorized Kids Trax Disney Moana quad for our daughter here. Retail it was $80, they had it listed online for $15. We called and they were able to hold it for us at customer service so that we could come and buy it. When we got home however, we quickly found out that the unit was without a power cord for the 6v battery. We called back and Brittany was willing to open another unit and give us the charger from the brand new box. We just left with our new charger after Brittany was kind enough to open two knew quads to try to help us find the right charger. Thankfully on the second try, it was a winner! She was able to make our daughters night! Thank you again Brittany! This was some of the BEST customer service that we have EVER received from the MANY Walmart's that we have frequented. read more

For a Walmart this is a really nice location as the 530pm it was clean and organized, the staff was very friendly. The weird thing is they had very few style of girls pants. It wasn't like they were out of stock they just didn't have many to choose from. read more

Right off the freeway, this is where I shop for most everything random I may need from time to time. The employees here are kind, the patrons can be a little odd from time to time. The lines are usually long, but move you through quickly enough as to not get impatient I always seem to find something new here, let it be something for my mountain bike, or artwork. Went to Walmart today to pick up some essentials. Unfortunately it is obvious that the mask rule is not at all enforced there. I was with my husband who has an auto immune disease, and I was extremely uncomfortable. Many people had no masks or masks pulled below their nose or chin. This does not protect my husband from your germs...so our rights to be able to shop safely are violated. So your desire to not wear a mask makes it ok to put people in danger. I hear a lot about your rights, but what about other's rights to be kept safe. Such a simple thing, but you're ok with spreading your potential germs that may be deadly....for what? I just don't get it folks. And as for us just staying home, don't we have a right as Americans to be at least able to go buy food. We're not going out to eat or to the mall etc, but we should have the right to grocery shop safely....guess it just won't be happening at Walmart. Sad situation fort sure! read more

Ok, ok, ok, I'm eating the words of my original review! But I have to give Gina in the Rocklin store huge props for not breaking under my pressure...not that I was out of control or anything but she new I wasn't happy. I had gone to the store w/cash to order an online item & have it delivered to the store or me. CS could not do it so they sent me to the customer pick up section where two people told me I could buy a Walmart gift card and then order the item online. That makes sense so that's what I did. Bottom line is the item was ordered and on the day of delivery I got a notice that it was back ordered. The next day I got an email that said the order was canceled and my money was refunded to my gift card. My visit to CS was to get a refund for the gift card so I could purchase the item elsewhere. I presented my emails from Walmart advising me that I was refunded and the gift card. I knew the first person I spoke with was not going to I have the authority to refund $385 on a gift card so she called for back up. The next lady said her supervisor said it is not possible. I asked to speak with the supervisor or the store manager. Then she called for back up. Then Gina showed up and asked for a receipt. I almost exploded. At first I told her I didn't have it and questioned what if it was a gift? As she walked away I actually found the receipt and called her back handed it to her and said this is BS (I did not say the words, I just wanted to emphasize my displeasure. ) I think she may have agreed with me but I knew she had to follow store policy. I stepped away and said a prayer and cooled down. Again, I never really exploded on her but I knew I was being intense. I had to come to the realization that they have to deal with fraud and theft on a daily basis... But I had my emails and the card and I thought that should be enough. Gina called for back up and eventually Steve showed up. Anyway, Gina did a good job and I wanted to publicly let her know how much I appreciated it. read more

Well I guess the one stop shopping experience just got a little slower. In line for over 20 min to pay. Only 2 checkers in the whole store I guess. A sassy lady who couldn't be bothered to pull up a register and assist loudly suggested we all go trough the self checkout. " I suggest you use the self checkout for quickest service" she bellowed every time people would start looking frustrated with the wait time. So here's my issue. I don't work at Walmart you do! I don't want to ring up my groceries. I want the Walmart associate paid to assist me to do so. Employees casually stroll past the long lines leaving me with a better understanding. If you won't use our self checkout of your own free will we will make it inconvenient for you to get real help, there by forcing me and anyone buying beer or cigarettes to wait for a ridiculous amount of time. I know. Yelping Walmart is like yelping McDonalds (which this store has). But isn't this like the newest Walmart in the Sacramento region? I have been here numerous times and increasingly it's getting trashier and trashier each time I come here. The Target across the freeway is just as new, but they don't have pallets of merchandise boxes all over the aisles. And the customer service here is just horrible. The employees just look at you with an empty stare. Only one employee helped me, and that was the guy in the electronics department. I realize the bar here is set real low, but shouldn't management have better training for at least having the employees look like they're somewhat competent? I didn't get the guy's name in the electronics department, but at least he was able to ask the right questions and offer solutions, not just be a pallet pusher. read more

Went shopping there for Black Friday and it was a great! Fast and friendly service plus they had all check lanes open with people guiding you to the least amount of people in the line. I went to Wal-Mart tonight to get a fishing license. I was told the man to do it had already clocked out, before closing, I might add. An employee paged a CSM and got no response. He paged them two more times before going to look for one. When a manager did show up they acted like our business wasn't good enough for them. I have never had such bad service in my life. I will not be returning to this Wal-Mart.I'm only giving two stars because The MOD did everything she could too satisfy us as customers.
