I hate going into a grocery store, especially since the pandemic. Now I normally try to do pick up or on the rare occasion I'll do delivery. Well, I needed groceries and my truck was in the shop so I had to do delivery. I ordered my groceries the day before and selected delivery time between 9AM-10AM. I got an email at 9:40 saying my groceries would be delayed. They didn't arrive until 4:15PM. Luckily I work from home and was here all day. What really bothered me was even after being cool with a 6.5 hour delay, they still sent me expired milk. I ordered it for today, got it today and it expired two days ago... c'mon Walmart. Went in this Walmart tonight and got stopped to have my receipt checked. If you care so much about checking receipts how about you all quit being lazy and do the checking out yourself. Seems like that would solve the issue. You don't see Sammy from Kroger chasing someone out the door because all the people at grocery stores do the checking out and transaction themselves. OR at the very least when you do "check" the receipt at least look over it and match it up to every item in my cart all $500 of my items because you wanna take my receipt for 2.4 seconds look at it look at me and say "ok" what good did that do for anyone other than waste your time and mine. This is a review for scheduled pick up only. The last two times I have used this service, I have waited 40-55minutes. They must be understaffed, but to be fair, the people running the groceries to your car. Definitely have no sense of urgency. They walk slowly, looking at their phones all the way to you and all the way back. I'm going to start using another store. read more

This Walmart location is a perfect example of why this chain is the butt of all the retail/store jokes. I absolutely hate when I have to go to a Walmart and the only time I go is when I have family in town or I'm visiting family out of town. Otherwise, nope. Today they had my husband sitting outside for over an hour waiting for a pickup order for my sister even after he checked in 15 minutes after getting the "Your pickup order is ready" text. Of course, no one would answer the phone when I called the pickup department. Because why would anyone answer the phone or do there job? It's Walmart. Lol are you crazy. They don't work there. They are annoyed that people even bother to ask them questions while they are in the building.....on the clock..... wearing the blue vest. The audacity of customers actually needing assistance sometimes. Kinda like when he went back to Electronics to get something and no one was around. No problem. It's a big store. So he spent about 5+ minutes walking around looking for an employee just to have the first one he saw look at him and walk away on her cellphone when he said "Excuse me." Then the second one he found simply told him "No" and walked away when he asked if he could help him in Electronics. I have worked in customer service and retail before. So, I get it, customers can be nightmares or worse. It's why I'd rather sell potatoes on the highway for a penny than ever do it again, but that doesn't make it okay to be a $;&/)/@;$@/@;&@&$);@:!/' to every customer that needs you to help them. This store, along with 98% of Walmarts in general, is trash and a good percentage of the employees are such useless jerks that it overshadows the *very* few good ones. My daughter took her 2014 Kia Sedona on February 22, 2023, to the Auto Center in the Walmart Super Center #3325, 2501 Lakeview Pkwy, Rowlett, TX 75088 for an oil change on February 22, 2023. Prior to the oil change her van worked fine. Oil did not leak from the vehicle. I know this because she came to our house before and after the oil change. Oil didn't leak on the driveway, on the street, or anywhere else. A few weeks after the Walmart oil change the van began to make noise when accelerating and in March, 2023, the engine began to make very loud knocking noises. My daughter called her mobile mechanic and on April 3, 2023, the mobile mechanic examined the van and determined that there was NO OIL in the van and said the oil receptacle was "bone dry." She took the van to Parkway Car Care shortly after for analysis. Parkway Car Care determined that the engine was ruined as a result of having NO OIL in the engine. My daughter was told that the correction was to have the engine rebuilt or replaced at a cost of over $10,000. In other words, the van was totaled. Both mechanics provided reports after their examination and found there was no oil in the van. The mobile mechanic indicated there were "no signs of an oil leak." Walmart could not have properly refilled the oil receptacle after draining oil from the van and the engine was ruined as a result. What's fun is that my husband took our car to the auto center in the Rockwall Walmart a few years back for an oil change and the oil light came on AS HE WAS DRIVING HOME! He stopped the car at the house (very close thank God) and checked the oil. There was no oil in the vehicle so he put in some and took it back to Walmart. Told the guys there they didn't put any oil in after the oil change. Apparently they weren't surprised and said "sorry" and put in the oil. Anyway, my daughter contacted the manager of the Auto Center and explained the situation. He told her to have her lawyer contact his lawyer. So my daughter contacted Walmart's customer service department and was transferred to file a claim, and a claim was opened. After the claim was opened no one from Walmart would take or return her calls and messages. As a result my daughter notified Walmart of the damage by sending a letter to Walmart's counsel. Guess what? No response. Unfortunately, Walmart has failed to step up to the plate and my daughter has had no vehicle since March. She's lost her job as a contractor and she's had to rely on others to take and pick up her kids from school. I guess next step is a lawsuit. It seems like Walmart doesn't care about its customers. If I could give a rating lower than one I would. I'm at the store, and I look up an item on the app. Tells me they have it and what aisle it's in. I go over to that location and can't find it. I asked associate and they tell me that they don't work in toys but they'll call someone. 10 minutes goes by and no one comes over. I go and do other shopping. Stop at the customer service desk and ask if maybe they actually don't have it. No they have at least 20 of them on hand. OK can you get me one? No, you'll have to go back into the toy department and ask and associate there. I asked three different associates in got three different answers. Answer number one, "I just started working here today. I have no idea where anything is." Answer number two " if you don't see it it's not there. Even if the people at customer service said we have them in stock. It's probably just our screwed up system." Answer number three "dude I don't get paid enough to care. Good luck." Cannot get hold of the service desk to talk to te manager. Very frustrating, but maybe they don't care. They know people needs "things", so now they are cutting service. After 5 callas the the line going dead, I call the pharmacy and apologized for having to call them. The man was so understanding, because he said they cannot even get anyone at the main phone number!!! He went and tried on another phone in the store, and NOPE, no answer, and it cut him off also. So I gave them the benefit of a doubt. I tried three days later, same things. I could get through to the different departments, BUT not the main service desk, to talk to the Manager! 2 stars for stock on the shelves, but cannot support the self-check out! Self check-out may have merit somewhere, somehow, and for a select few reasons, but for the weekly shopper it's a NIGHTMARE to scan and not miss an item or make an error, and bag all yourself when there are people who need jobs but aren't working because of automation in place to replace them. Typically I shop during the mid-afternoon when check out aisles are manned with very helpful and pleasant people, but going too early in the day you do it all yourself. The store managers say it's because they cannot hire enough people who want to work, and that may be very valid, but there must be more to the story than that! For DECADES people would go to a store for their shopping needs, usually have a couple favorite checkers they'd frequent their line, and the shopping trip was made that much nicer in spite of price increases. Well those days are GONE. So not only do you pay more for items weekly, increases average 5-60%, but you have to be responsible to scan and bag your items yourself, and pay on their "system", and carry out and load into your car. Such customer services are fading fast and that is so very sad........ read more

I just went there today, and I find it an above average Walmart. Very clean and no problems. Checkout lines can be a pain but overall I think this is a good store. Very hard to see the store from the highway, it is behind the Wendy's and turn at the Wells Fargo corner bank and go back a bit and you will see the store... Of all the Walmarts I've been to this is above average. Clean store and clean parking lot. They also usually have everything a Walmart should have. They don't have stocking problems. read more

The automotive department was closed. I went there to buy a battery for my daughter's car. I didn't need anyone to install the battery, I just needed some advise on which one to buy. I ended up going down the street to AutoZone. They were more than happy to help me buy a battery. Also, my wife likes to go grocery shopping there. The selection of items in the grocery side is ok. Even the most basic Brookshire's has a better selection of grocery products. read more

Your CSM, Donna, at #3225, was WONDERFUL this evening!! I lost my car keys and house keys tonight. They fell out of my grocery cart (I just sat them in there because I didn't bring my purse in with me). I ran to Customer Service and asked Donna if anyone had turned in any keys during the last 10 minutes that I had been in the store (I lost them as soon as I walked in). She said no one had turned any in. So I called Roadside Assistance to send a tow truck out and take my Mini Cooper to Mini of Dallas so I could get a new key cut tomorrow morning. One of my girlfriends came to get me, and then my mom came to my house. I was crying, of course, and really upset with myself. A few hours later, the tow truck driver called me. He said he was standing at my car in the Walmart parking lot, but he said the manager came over to him and told him that she found my keys!! Then he put her on the phone. It was Donna from earlier! She said about an hour after I had asked her if anyone had turned in my keys, the security guard turned them in, but she had no way of reaching me because I didn't leave my contact information. She said she was leaving for the evening, and saw the tow truck driver at my car. She could have just left and not said a word, BUT INSTEAD, she went over to the tow truck driver and told him that the keys to that car were inside of Walmart. So the driver called me, and then I spoke to him, and then Donna, and I said I would be there in 10 minutes. They both waited for me!! I pulled up with my mom and told the tow truck driver, "THANK YOU!" And then Donna drove up and gave me my keys, and I told her, "THANK YOU!" We offered to give her cash, but she said no. We also offered to pay her money through Venmo or Zelle, but she said no. You don't even know how thankful I am for her! It's over $300 to get a new key cut!! (Plus the hassle of getting my car towed and getting a ride to the dealership tomorrow) DONNA IS MY ANGEL! SHE IS MY SAVING GRACE!! Walmart, please take care of her for me. Have shopped at this store since it opened but have watched it deteriorate over the last several years. Selection is limited, workers are less than helpful, produce is horrible, and fewer check stands are open forcing you to use self checkout. Parking lot is full of baskets and the store is dirty. My family and i were at Walmart in Rowlett off of 66. I saw an employee by the name of Danielle Cribb that was helping a customer,blind man with cane shopping. As she was about to check him out , he said he needed a bathroom. She walked him to the bathroom entrance way and he walked in. Of course she didn't go any further. There was a young man standing by a register with another female as she was checking a customer out with a full cart. I was next in line to checkout. The young man saw the blind man but didn't assist him to make it to the stall safely. Instead the guy standing by the register then walks off and the cashier said you should help him out and he kept walking off. The cashier looks at me and i knodded my head yes , he should have helped him out. It was a while later the young lady began to check me out and the blind man was still in the bathroom, as i was telling my husband what i witnessed. My husband did not know what was happening. The young lady asked another employee if anyone was going to check on him which were my exact thoughts. But nobody did, my husband was paying the lady, then i heard the man at the bathroom doorway calling out a name. He was calling Danielle to come walk him. She walked up to him and walked with him to the register....It was disappointing that nobody could check on this man to see if he was ok going in the bathroom and coming out...i asked my husband to do so but by then the man was already out. I want to give kuddos to Danielle for going above and beyond with this customer. She gave excellent customer service. Wow, some of the reviews here make me think I must be going to a different Walmart. I've been shopping at this Rowlett, store for over four years and really have not experienced any negative issues, however I have never shopped the store at night so I can not comment re: late night visits. I have always been treated well by all store employees, and should I need help with finding an item I have no trouble with any employee helping me, they even go out of their way to walk me over to the item I am asking about.....even the shift managers are hospitable. BTW I shop all the product lines and have always been satisfied, with prices and quality....I shop mid-week maybe that has something to with my positive experiences, most people I see shopping at this store seem as though all is fine with their visits as well. read more

Today my husband sent me to Walmart with his card to get some groceries, well when I get to the check out and the cashier finishes ringing up $60+ of food for our family I slide my card she asked credit or debit so I said credit because this card is not debit. She asked to see my drivers license and I told her it's my husband's card so it will just have the same last name...well guess what she wouldn't accept the card. I shop at the WalMart on Lakeview in Rowlett, and it is by far the best WalMart I have every shopped at! The people who work there are always ready to go above and beyond to be helpful!! The displays are very nice, and if you don't like to come to the store, you can now enter your groceries on line and come to the store to pick them up without having to go inside. My son is in a wheelchair, and he is delighted with the ability to order his groceries on line, drive to the store, and someone brings them out and puts them in his car!! It's Walmart but I actually don't understand why so many lanes are never open. I can only guess, not enough people want to work at a Walmart. Aside from that, I honestly had a mishap with paying for some toothbrushes and oddly the receipt had a really weird description and I could only think it was the charge for toothbrushes because they were not in my bag when I got home. It wasn't but it was only item that wasn't in my bag and I was refunded for the full amount. The girl who helped me was really nice and quick on service. It's a neighborhood Walmart people, so don't expect to see the same as you would at the Super Centers. You won't. I honestly don't bother with produce at Walmart because it never seems as fresh or juicy on the fruits. I typically get all my snacks and non grocery items here. Very competitive pricing on cosmetics and such so it can be worth the wait at the right timing to stop by. I tried to do the Walmart To Go option, so I wouldn't have to go in to a Walmart. I started my order on Saturday night at 10PM. I checked the time slots for Sunday. Every time slot was open. I read the FAQ, same day orders accepted. Tried to place my order on Sunday at 8AM, Sunday time slots are ALL BLOCKED OUT! I called Walmart Customer Service, who got me in touch with the Assistant Manager of To GO. He insisted that since Saturday at 10, all the time slots had been taken. This is why I hate Walmart! This Walmart is basically our one-stop-shop because it's just up the block from us. We've used it for 8+ years now. What I like: +It's within walking distance +Its open 24/7 +There's a few rather friendly employees I adore here who always help me and look out for me. +Yay grocery store! +My doc can send my Rx to this pharmacy easily +They will call my doctor if I need a new refill +Bathrooms are always nice +Water fountain - free water~! +Cool that Subway is in there. +Has a glasses section that I used a long time ago. +They are borderline obsessive about keeping those floors clean lol +I got my 2nd set of ear piercings here and it went well. +Customer Service and Returns have always went well here. +Got a tetanus shot here from a knowledgable guy and it went well. +Self checkouts are usually open which is a huge plus for my hermit self +Decent tshirts for cheap for non-fashionistas like myself and my hubby. +The boys and girls seem to do well collecting the carts so theres always one to grab. (not always the case in all stores!) What I don't like: -So few lanes open. WHY HAVE THIS MANY LANES IF NO MORE THAN 4 ARE USED AT A TIME? I mean come on, even during Black Friday?! Wtf! -We normally go late so we usually run into them restocking stuff but once we ran into them restocking shelves at 6pm- very random and inconvenient. -One time they were buffing the floors around 7:30pm and they blocked off the entire right entrance and when we came out, it was raining and we had to walk all that way in the rain to get to our car :( -Teens from the neighborhood like to come here and "hang out." (Not Walmarts fault though.) -Once saw some fellas w/ some pickup trucks park far in the back and we ended up having to park close to them cuz it was packed and I noticed they were drinking beers and having fun using a taser on eachother. It was rather disturbing to run into that late at night. -Some rude customers are oblivious that its a store and not a roaming Starbucks. (Not just teens but a lot of different types of people will either stand in the middle of the walkway and shoot the breeze or there will be 5+ of the same group and they will all walk in a horizontal line so you cant get around them but they all walk as slow as the oldest grandma present so pretty much turtle speed. Frustrating but not Walmart's fault.) -Sometimes the Pharmacy doesnt call in or prepare what I ask for on time and I end up having to wait even though pickup time has come and gone. -Sometimes the Pharmacy doesnt give me the correct amount of pills so now I have to constantly count it out and they will get pissy with you if you leave and come back to complain that some pills are missing. Like I should have to stop everything, dump my pills out on the counter and count them before I leave the store? How about you just count it out right the first time. They've messed it up more than twice so far. Sucks. -When I ride my bike up there, I gotta chain it up out front. Would be nice if there were bike pods like there are up at the train station. Im nervous to leave my bike for long. I've seen people take their seats off to deter theft which is likely since so many kids like to screw around the store and parking lot w/ no money, just looking for cheap thrills and 'harmless fun'.) -Sometimes employees will smoke close to the doorways and being an ex-smoker, its tantalizing but also gross and I remember when I worked at a grocery store up north that they made us sit way way way down at the end so the smoke was nowhere near the customers. read more

Why are the shelves always empty? Since they started grocery pick up the stock is always depleted. It seems whoever is in charge of reordering, hasn't figured out how to keep up with demand, or they are using stockers to fill pick up orders instead of stocking. Food items are not the only items with empty shelves: jewelry, purses, clothing, pet supplies, toiletries. It seems the whole staff is in need of retraining. I have shopped at this store since they opened. It has gone downhill over the last year or two. What is the problem? The handicap carts are always out of service. There are consistently too few cashiers on duty. I am going to locate stores other than Walmart to take my business to, because I need to be able to get all of my groceries in the same trip. I cannot count on you having what I need in stock. Someone needs to check this store out & fix the problem. One more thing: WASTE, WASTE, WASTE. I did online pick up one time. I ordered about 25 items. I get home and I have 25 plastic bags! One item - one bag! Even at the check out line they put 6-10 items in each bag. I complained to mgmt before, but it is still happening. I was watching the "Walmart Online shoppers" as I did my own shopping this past week. One item = one bag. If they used one bag for more than one item, they might have more room on the trucks for food stuffs since they won't need to order so many bags. Help solve that stocking problem. read more
