I've worked in retail before, so I understand why some of the employees don't know much about where products are (if u worked at Walmart , would u really want to memorize where random crap is?) My one gripe with this particular Walmart is it is not always up to date with stocking their products. So I started my evening at The Assembly, where I got a great big fat Bloody Mary Burger and a martini shaken not stirred, after I was done downing that bad boy, me and my lady-boy friend decided that we would go look to the new Fall trend fashions at the local Walmart. I like to stay hip and with the latest instyle garments and if I'm paying for a lady-boys time I would like him to keep up with the times as well. So we pulled up to the biggest Walmart I have ever seen and it must have lit a fire under pour Yanju (my friend) because as I tried getting out of the car he started making out with me, after a hot Necking session,he finally let me go shop. We walked in and saw such adorable people with suckers stuck in children's hair, and kool aid mustaches on adults. We made our way back to the apparel section where I tried on what the seamstress in the fitting room described as "skinny jeans" well on me those were not skinny jeans, I had not one, not ,two, but three camel toes, Which of corse got Yanju excited all over again so he slipped me the tongue and I put the pants in the shopping basket. I knew if it made him that excited I was going to get some action after Bingo tonight. We tried on all sorts of fun see through nightys! It felt like a fashion show and I was a beautiful model like a deaf Taylor Swift. I had Yanju try on random skorts and panties he looked great. After all was said and done we went up to pay and the nice gal at the register bagged everything up for me, such a sweet heart. What a great store, it had all the new Fall "IT" items that I'll be sure to turn heads at the next church extravaganza. I brought a prescription from my doctor to the pharmacy. The pharmacist named Dharma stated that my doctor neglected to write his NPI number on the prescription. (It was printed on the Rx.) I suggested he google it. He refused and continued on by stating that he had the information in his computer. He stated it would be illegal for him to write any information on the Rx, even though I stood there and watched his technician write my date of birth directly on the Rx. The National Boards of Pharmacy have clearly stated that "when information is missing from or needs to be changed on a prescription, pharmacists should use their professional judgement to make the changes to the prescription." I attempted to contact his boss, and I'm still waiting for a reply. Wal-Mart's pharmacists clearly DO NOT WANT YOUR BUSINESS, so don't give it to them. I attempted to contact Dharma's boss, Josh Pukl. Still waiting for Josh to return my call. I took the prescriptions to Walgreens where I received no hassle whatsoever. The prescriptions were filled quickly and the pricing was even better than Wal-Mart's prices.(How do you beat paying zero?) I did get a call back from Josh eventually. Dirty, filthy, crowded. Every stereotype of Wal-Mart and its' customers can be found within these walls. Children running rampant, merchandise scattered all over the floor, interminable checkout lines, and surly help (although I would be surly if I had to work here), are just some of things you will experience at the Streamwood Wal-Mart. If you absolutely have to shop here, go early in the morning. The Wal-Mart customer doesn't get up before 10 a.m. Displays in the middle of every aisle impede the smooth flow of customer traffic Heaven forbid if you need to return something, as the line will be at least 10 deep. This Walmart needs to get more organized they can be so messy and I believe that's why it can get so crowded they have random items for sale set up where they can get in people's ways. Just make sure to write down anything you're told on phone. I called ahead to specifically make sure an item was available in Men's sportswear and when I took time to drive to get the item the person (Latha) who told me repeatedly that they had plenty of these items (I had asked her to put them aside for me but she assured me there was no reason because they had so many of them) was at lunch and they don't take phone calls when at lunch - they hide in the back room. Newly designed and renovated and still a pile of crap! I hate to be so negative but WOW I will not be shopping there again. Their produce is expensive compaired to other near by grocery stores and produce that normally sits in a bunch (grapes, cherries, berries) are all squashed on the bottom and rotted. This is far the best Walmart Streamwood IL. in the suburbs. They have everything and its has stocks shelves, people are friendly. I would like to recognize Chris he's a stockman for being so honest and I am so grateful for him. Because he found my wallet in the cart outside where I left it I was in a hurry like a busy mom of 4 kids and money is really short. All I can offer him was a $10. cash or$10. gift card from Panera. Joan at the self ring up area has harassed my fiancee on several occasions. Once 2 gang bangers were too and she sat there 4 feet away, well aware, and did nothing and looked happy about it. And even talked to them asking when there shift was over??!!!. So we pulled out our camera phones and put her and them on camera. They all fled? So we called corporate and obviously they did nothing about it because last night we went in. She stared at my lady like she was demon possessed. So again we cam. Her. I asked her what are you staring at? She said we can't cam her in walmart. We looked into it. It is a gray area. But we were very uncomfortable. She tried to sick a manager on us. I've never actually had a bad experience here. Is the customer service line slow? Sure. It's a busy place, so I get it. Only thing I would ask is that they keep the toy department better stocked in the action figure/die cast car section. Always seems like they could use more product. read more

Seriously have no idea why all of the negative reviews. This store has come a long way with the remodeling and turning into a super store. Plus, having Sam's attached is a bonus if you are a Sam's shopper. Been to other stores and yes some are a little nicer but that pretty much dictates what neighborhood to include median income that you are in. There has to be a reason the parking lot is always full so a lot of people must feel the same way as me. Also, in all drug stores items that used to be OTC are now under lock and key. Reason-some of the products for allergy and nasal conditions are now being used in meth labs. read more

i was in here last night and i can honestly say that it left such a bad taste in my mouth i dont see myself going back. I bought 2 boxes of diapers and as i was walking out the door i realized that one of the boxes was the wrong size, i turned back around (never leaving the store) and went to get the correct box. I asked the lady at the register if i could exchange them and she told me to pay for the correct ones then go to customer service to return the wrong ones. The time from the 1st transaction to the 2nd transaction was 11 minutes. it would have been sooner but the diapers that i needed were on the top shelf and none of the 500 employees they had there would help me until i interrupted their conversations. I got to the customer service counter at 902 and they close at 900 (the store closes at 10), the guy was so annoyed that i was bothering him, i told him that the lady told me to go there to exchange the diapers and he said no. i said i had just bought them and he said it didnt matter because they dont accept returns on diapers under any circumstances. i explained had the lady not given me erroneous information i wouldnt have wasted my time and i def wouldnt have bought another box. they were so rude and condescending, i left the store and called from the parking lot to ask for his name and a number for corporate, the lady who answered didnt want to give me the info, it wasnt until i asked for her name and corporates number that she changed her attitude. if the employees hate their jobs so much and dont want to offer service to customers, then maybe they shouldnt be working there. read more

I would give no stars if it was possible. Made a purchase online through Walmart.com needed to return the item because it was delivered a month past the anticipated arrival date. When I went back to the store, stood in line for a half an hour only to get to the counter and they told me this was sold from a third-party vendor on their site and they would not return the item and it is my problem to get a hold of this random retailer that they do business with. I sat on the phone for nearly an hour to get through to Walmart customer service to initiate the return only to be told that they reached out to the third-party seller and I would just have to wait and see if they responded if not I could call back wait another hour and they would see if they could pressure them to get back to me. I won't spend another nickel of my money at Walmart whoever came up with this marketplace bullshit should be fired I may as well just buy things off eBay and deal with people that I don't know rather than trusting the Walmart name! read more

Ok just moved to the area and o my god do i miss my mejiers. The layout is by far the most screwed up, they have stuff everywhere and anywhere. What should have been a 1/2 hour shopping experience turned into 3 hours. I wanted to pull my hair out. The shelves were empty of tons of product the would normally be there. The people the shop her are some of the most rude and hell that is if they understand you. They have no control of their kids and let them run around like animals. I will say that their is one nice lady that was maybe in here late 70's that was very nice and helped me otherwise my shopping would have taken 4 hours. This Walmart is the closest to my new residence. I have had good experiences with the employees. Every time I can't find something the employees I have asked for help have stopped what they were doing and taken me to the item. There was a nice young man who went out of his way to help. Although it is good priced I'll rather buy my goods somewhere else. There are always a jack load of people who seem to bring there entire family and feed them sugar and let them loose. Even though they have about 30 registers they only have around 5-10 cashiers. The quality of the products are sub-par. I am showing some mercy giving this Walmart two stars. I usually don't post many reviews, because I don't feel the need too, unless it is going to help someone else. That being said, I can testify to being discriminated at this Walmart. I know that you cannot judge a Walmart with dozens of employees by one employee's bigotry, but I might as well share my story. Although I have received decent customer service at this Walmart, the atmosphere in general, seems very depressing and the employees do not look happy in any way. A few months ago, my Dad and I went to Walmart to buy some groceries. As I went to pay, a caucasian young male, who was on register, who looked about 16 years old, was giving me attitude already. He was very condescendinf and I was actually being pleasant with him, asking how his day was going. He then proceeded to throw my change in my bag, and told me, "There are your pesos." I usually don't get offended, so I told him, "It's going to get better man." with a smile on my face. I was pretty appalled and confused. I found it humorous in a way that stuff like this actually happens. I am half hispanic and half eastern european. Make sure you are choosing your employees right Walmart. The store was cleaner and neater when it was just redone. However it has fallen off. We went at 10pm the Wednesday before Christmas. I needed a video game from the locked cabinet and sent my 21 year old dtr to ask for help. The 30 something female polish woman was leaning on the counter. She pointed to the guy and said - "He will help you. " Then in a soft voice she said, "Joe ....Joe" Oh when hes done with the customer there he will help you. So my dtr walked over. We waited 5 minutes and I told my dtr to go back. She didn't want to deal with her again, so I walked up behind her. I saw the clerk leaning on the counter. She turned and looked at my dtr and looked away. When I saw her face, I recognized her as a customer from the place I worked. Apparently she did a double take after realizing she knew me and then said to my dtr, "He's coming ." The clerk turns away from me. My dtr walked to find him and he was 3 aisles down with a different customer. So we stood there - another few minutes when a different employee came up behind me and said, "How can I help you?" I said "If you have keys we need a video game." Problem solved. Wow. And to think I go over and above for this woman when I take care of her! And I still will because I don't want my place of employement with a lazy rep like she gave hers. I wo On another note -The company I work for - we sometimes need to purchase quite a number of movies from them. Mind you they are not on sale, nor are we using coupons or getting any kind of discount. They are limiting our purchase to 5 copies of a movie title. Really? Thats like saying, "Sorry you can't buy 4 bananas because we are only going to sell you 3." They don't want our business apparently! Back to Target!!!! The is great store overall, except when it comes to returns. There's always longer lines and even when there's employees passing by they're just staring at the lines, instead of calling someone to open an another register. Also, this Walmart always seems to have only one cashier behind the customers service, which makes no sense what so ever for ex: If someone want to transfer money to somewhere which takes about 10min there goes the line for returns, or if someone wants to simply make a payment on their account they are also waiting which is only suppose to in and out service. So, it would make more sense to have 2 cashiers at all time one just for returns and one for all the purposes. read more

I have been shopping at this store for 12 years. After my last visit on Monday 7/15 it will be my last. It is dirty, the aisles are crowded with junk making it very hard to maneuver. Many of the items do not have prices on the shelves. The produce department is lacking. They do not have enough check outs open, they are pushing self checkout. The cashier was rude and did not greet me or thank me. I could hardly hear her when she told me the amount. This store has gone downhill since it turned into a Supercenter.
