SO, being the bargain hunter I am I refused the alterations at HOB and went on a search. I was recommended to Marinella's by my Aunt who had purchased her mother of the bride dress there a few years prior and had my cousin's wedding dress altered here as well. My Mom was able to find a UNIQUE, APPROPRIATE Mother of the Bride dress at Marinella's. No gaudy glitter, outdated patterns, or annoying sales associates insisting that every dress you try on is "THE ONE....ARE YOU GOING TO ORDER IT TODAY?!" I'm SO glad we were referred over to Marinella because she did the alterations for both my Mother and I. On the day of my final fitting my wedding dress fit like a glove... and I had lost over 20 pounds! It was pressed gorgeously (the associate said she'd never taken so long to press a dress {mine was huge}) and couldn't stop gushing over how much she loved my dress. When I put my dress on all the ladies in the store rushed over and gawked at my dress that I hadn't even purchased there! I can't tell you how amazing it was to see my dress go from swimming in it, to looking like it had been made just for me! Marinella was trained in alterations in Italy and also purchases a lot of her dresses from there which is what makes them so unique. I will be returning here shortly to see if I can find a unique MOH dress for my sister-in-law's wedding and at the very least, she'll be doing my alterations!

There were three specific employees that went beyond great in customer service and although I didn't get their names it was someone with bleached blonde hair, and two girls in the front around 8:30 at night putting away jeans. All of them were so nice and helpful in finding jean sizes for me and even thought it was before closing! The only issue i had was with the lady who rung me up (sadly i got no name but she's south asian) and i was trying to be friendly with her and asking her how her day was and she stared at me like I said I hope she has a horrible day or something. I totally get being tired after a long day but when I even placed my jeans on the counter after she rung up one she looked at the other pair and said in a very sarcastic tone "you want this too?" and i said i would. There was also a mishap with the second pair of jeans not having a scanner tag and she was trying to put it in but after a while my mom and sister asked if she would like for them to get her a different pair and she said yes, they came back with a size smaller (as there was no bigger sizes on the floor) and she asked in again a sarcastic tone "so you want this size instead?" and once they left to see if they could find another one she finally brought up the scanning code. I get this might be because of an inventory issue but again, what was the attitude for? My family and I were trying to accommodate for the missing tag and she just seemed like she didn't need to be checking people out with that attitude. Otherwise I had a great experience!
