I have now been on hold for over 47 minutes with this location in search of mega phones. The first person to answer the phone had no clue what I was asking for, but that was fine, she put me on hold to ask another person. Start 15 minutes of silence, they don't even have hold music. I am on the website looking at OVER 12 different types of mega phones and I just want to see if they have them in the store... then picks up a store clerk- "Hi, what are you looking for?." "Mega phones" " Wal Mart doesn't carry mega phones..." " I see them all over your website. "Oh I'll walk and go check." that was nearly 28 minutes ago! I didn't even realize I was still on hold because the phone is silent and on my speaker phone function I hate to be upset with people, especially when I know they work in the pits of a place like Wal Mart... but seriously, you could answer the phone and say honestly, we are swamped or I checked and nothing. Bleh. This Walmart makes me unhappy. It's dirty, disorganized, crowded, loud, full of crazy people almost running you over with their carts. And I mean CRAZY PEOPLE! Yelling things out loud to their kids like, "YOU BETTER GET YO' ASS BACK OVER HERE, PUT THAT DAMN TOY DOWN!" Uh, yeah. And sure, everything's pretty inexpensive, but half the things I'd expect to be available here usually aren't. This is a trashy, nasty place. Against my better judgement I went here to pick up something on sale. There are about 50 too few parking spaces. The crowds of people are like cattle, employees are useless, children are running around without parents, drug dealers in the parking lot, everything is dirty...so it's your typical Walmart. I know that no matter how bad Walmart is, people will still shop there because they can save a nickel on laundry detergent, so I guess what I'm saying is, have fun! The good: Parking is plentiful and single level. No tickets to pull or multi-level mazes to drive through The shelves were well stocked with items priced lower than Crenshaw Walmart. The store was clean with plenty of friendly employees walking the aisles to help. The biggest plus of all is that I didn't have to wait in a long line at check out. I visited at 2:00 p.m. on a weekday, but this place was packed. I counted 7 open cash registers. I was impressed. Someone in management is on the ball. The only negative thing I can say is that the bathrooms were not well lit and could use a good cleaning. I will definitely return if I am in the neighborhood. read more

I had to stop by to get some medicine because it was the closest place to work. It wasn't that busy, but there were long lines that didn't move much. It could use a little better organization. I find this Walmart is usually out of stock of at least one or more items that I come looking for every time. There are always lines at the registers - and not just one or two people ahead of you, but lines of many people. The people working the registers are rude, don't care about the customers or the line as they stand there chatting away with people at the next register. The prices aren't even that much better than Target or local grocery store on many items that it isn't even worth the gas anymore to drive here. However, if you are going to go into a Walmart, you should have an inkling about what you're about to walk into, so none of the above should be that much of a surprise. read more

Well, this is probably like the only Walmart in a ten-mile radius in the South Bay area. As everyone else who has reviewed this place: This place is ghetto. It would need to take an army of employees to clean up certain asiles (like the back to school section), but they do the best they can to keep the other sections of the store clean like clothing. I am just going to be fully honest . I do not live anywhere near this Walmart so when I pulled into the parking lot I was a little bit scared to even get out of my car. Costumers were screaming , complaining about anything they could possibly complain about and people were just leaving their trash in the parking lot ( gloves and masks) just expecting the workers to do it for them. I was just really uncomfortable . I placed an online order and had to stay in the same line as everyone else to get into the store which was not a problem at all! The line moved quickly. The workers were very nice about it and I understood completely . They made it very easy to pick up my order! I was waiting for the girl to go in the back to retrieve my order , I wasn't standing there very long maybe 3 min? Within those 3 min 3 Walmart employees walked by me said hello and asked if I am being helped or if I needed help with something! I was so happy! They were so nice! I called to see when they stop taking returns. The phone rang for 20 min straight with no answer. I tried contacting another department but no answer. When I arrived I was informed that the returns department was closed. So I asked to speak with a manager. The assistant manager, Georgie, left me waiting for over 20 min to talk to him. Another associate asked if I needed help and said that he was currently ringing up a customer. I had to speak with him from the side of the register as I could not get his sole attention. I informed him about the phones and he said that they don't answer them after a certain time. What store on the face of the earth would have a policy like that? I told Georgie that I simply just wanted to make a swap for the same item, but he said no can do. Once the return department is closed, not even a manger can make it happen. I've worked at multiple department stores and know this is as simple as swapping the item off the shelf. A manager really can't do that? Sounds like laziness to me, and I could hear it in his tone. After taking care of my other shopping. I then had to wait in a line for over 30 minutes. Only one registerer open and tons of employees walking around aimlessly. This store is RIDICULOUS! Got charged on my credit card for an item worth $17.49 and i didn't even know what it was! Turns out to be some multivitamins that was substituted for the $1.79 glass cleaner i wanted. Also, they didnt carry the sporting equiptment that said was here. Oh, one more thing is that the store is very unorganized with very few workers doing their job. $10 toothpaste was labeled $7 on the shelf and i dont think i woukd be sitting in the customer service line for another hour if they did their job in the first place. I don't normally take time to give a review... but in this case it was needed The return line and experience today was just terrible I waited in line 20 mins to return one item and never made it to the front of the line. I had to leave to go back to work. There was only one person working the return desk even though there were at least 10 people in line and the line wasn't moving and the employees didn't seem to care. It was so poorly run ... its hard to believe this store can operate like this. WHERE IS THE ASST MGR or MGR to help or other employees to step in ? I have to say that I was disappointed with this store. I bought a pair of socks here. Yes, they were very inexpensive, however whatever money I saved by purchasing them here was lost when they disintegrated in the washing machine the first time I washed them. I realize that discount Walmart socks aren't expected to last forever, however one wear really doesn't cut it. On a separate note, the Walmart commercials on television show a nice friendly attractive female greeter who smiles warmly and greats all the happy customers as they enter the store. This is a gross misrepresentation of the facts(at least for this particular Walmart). This store features two very large gentlemen who glare at you as you enter, seemingly daring you to do anything outside the rules while you are in their store. Additionally after reading and watching some documentaries about Walmart Corporation as a whole I don't feel like this is the type of place I would like to support. They underpay their employees, treat their suppliers poorly, buy seemingly everything from third world countries and generally don't seem to be the type of employer who is good for society in general. I understand many people need to buy their products at the place where they can get the most for their money but I would recommend that those who can afford to shop elsewhere. This Walmart location is very busy always and forever. A lot of items will be out of stock i've been to this place a few times and literally never had one employee to help me with any questions, you're going to have to know how to fend for yourself. If you come for something specific don't always expect for them to have it. They do have a lot of checkout lanes and self checkout lanes. An upside is you can get groceries here too if you're here you know you're going to get pretty much the best price compared to competitors. But you will also get a crowd and wait in long lines. read more

Unfortunately, this store has failed me many times. I only come here now if it's an emergency. A lot of products are either misplaced, mislabeled, or opened. More often than not I leave disappointed. Most employees are not willing to help. I have asked for help in finding a product and was literally passed from one employee to the next until a nice person was willing to help me look (If I remember correctly I was once passed off to 4 diff people, all in the dept in which I needed help). It's not just the employees. The type of people who frequent the store are also rude and inconsiderate. People will push each other, fight, cut in line, etc. The ambiance is that of an unruly kindergarten class. That being said, this Walmart is closest to me but I usually prefer to drive a little to go to one that has all the products I am looking for and with nicer employees. read more

Update: the manager Patricia reached out to me to give me a free gift card for this bad customer service. I asked her if she can mail it and she told me know that I had to come all the way to the store to pick it up. She said that she would only be in two days that particular week so I need to come one of the two days. even though I was feeling under the weather, I decided to go and pick up the gift card that she allegedly could not mail to me. I called her to let her know that I was coming down to pick it up, she said that it would be a customer service. I get to the store and ask for the gift card, they told me there was no gift card left for me, they called her and she refused to come and handle the situation. I went Walmart today March 27th Friday at 10am to shop for some hard to find items such as toilet paper, however, Close to the check out their was a Manager Javier who I inquired about the next delivery of toilet paper , he stated trucks come in daily 2pm and 7pm. I told him I went to 5 stores already but it was to no avail in getting this hard to find item. He did the unexpected for he went to one of his rooms and found me toilet paper. This restored my faith in management for he did what other managers would not do and that is give top rate customer service. I had to do a quick run for my son birthday party planning for some paint and I notice this security guard watching me with a dirty ass look, at first I looked at her thinking she was doing her round , when I look back she was just there literally standing . We for sure had an experience below expectations at this Walmart. The parking lot, super hectic, the inside super hectic but it wasn't until the checkout that we had a problem. We did have quite a few items, probably 30 but it was specifically a lamp that was flagged when the woman rang it up. She said that she couldn't do anything on the computer screen like cancel the item, order, or start over and that we were stuck here until a store manager came over. After about 5-10 minutes waiting for a store manager, she came over and said that only the assistant store manager could override the computer. The woman ringing us up was very nice, there wasn't much she could do, but we waited there for 15 minutes at the register waiting for the assistant manager. They were in no means in a rush to come over and override the system. For the extra 20 minutes we waited at the register, we could've gone to a better walmart or target, nearby. We won't come back here just due to that inconvenience since there are other stores with better service. read more

My first 1 star review and I can't think of a more deserving business. I know, "fish in a barrel," right? Maybe so, but here we go. . . My mission was to find Zhu Zhu Pets for my kids. If you're not familar with Zhu Zhu Pets, they are kind of like a cross between a furby and a hamster, e.g. an interactive little electronic pet. Unfortunttely, Target, was out of them, so my next destination was WalMart. My first indication that this would not be a fabulous shopping experience was the "layout" of the store. Lack of any logical layout is more like it. I mean, at Target everything kind of makes sense--the toys are next to the video games, which are next to the electronice, whic are next to the DVDs which are next to the CDs. At Walmart, the video games and toys are on opposite sides of the store. The toys are next to the barbecues on one side and the cosmetics on the other. Why? Who knows? Fortunately, the toy section did stock the Zhu Zhu Pets, so my mission was nearing success. Now to check out. The Checkout lines were moderately long, so I opted for the self checkout. I scanned the Zhu Zhus and a big bag of Lays that I picked up along the way. I scanned my debit card and this is when problems started. I swiped my card and the screen said "error, card not read." I swiped again, same error. Since my debit card has the Visa logo I decided to run it as a credit card--declined. I went to the attendant. "I can't do anything, my screen says declined." she said. "Try it again." I tried it again, "card not read." Now, in every other self-checkout I have done, there is an option for the attendant to run your card. Apparently not at WalMart. "I can't. It's broken. You have to go to the regular checkout." Of course the regular checkout lines were now huge. After waiting in line for fifteen minutes, I finally escaped with the Zhu Zhu Pets and a little less sanity. I recently learned of a scientific study that proves you lose an average of 20 IQ points when you walk in the front door of WalMart. The study could not determine whether this IQ loss is permanent so best not take a chance. By the way, the same study determined employees lose an average of 50 IQ points the moment they go to work at WalMart. This IQ loss IS permanent. So, when you shop at WalMart or when you are looking for a job-- BEWARE! read more

This is not the best Walmart for customer service however, I was visiting one morning with a list of needed items which unfortunately was lock up. I waited in the men's department for well over 30 minutes looking and asking for anyone with a key. No response. Then I went to the medicine department and there myself and a few others needed assistance. No one in sight. This associate walked by and I asked do you happen to have a key? He said yes and how may I assist? I told him what I needed and how long I had been waiting. He introduced himself as Donte then kindly apologized and opened the lock got what I needed and helped a few other peoples. Then ask was there any thing else. Yes, I need a men T Shirt that has a lock on it also and some baby items. He replied he was more than happy to continue to assist me in the meantime he was still answering questions from other customers. I was so angry when I first approached him but he was so genuinely kind that he brought my anger straight down. This was the most pleasantness experience that I have ever had in this Walmart. BY FAR THE WORST Walmart I have ever been too! The workers in electronics should all be fired, they are RUDE, INCONSIDERATE, AND OVERALL INCOMPETENT. Not a single employee could help me and I asked FOUR different electronic workers. One worker was too busy walking aimlessly between isles, an other was busy telling an older Spanish speaking gentleman that she couldn't help him since he didn't speak English, and my favorite employee was busy telling me to he was working and couldn't help me. All of these imbeciles should definitely reconsider their career paths because customer service is just not for them. That's not even where the joy of my visit ends, as I'm leaving the electronics annoyed and clearly upset, there are sales men rushing me, trying to sell God knows what. As I politely tell the man that I'm not interested and I don't wish to buy or sign up for whatever he's offering, he begins pushing. I always had a bad feeling when it comes to Wal-mart and when I finally got the courage to step into this store, my feelings were 100% correct. When I saw the endless lines, people returning things back, and messes on the floors with people pushing one another it really made me feel like the world has already ended! Yes I know low prices but there is a limit people and pushing each other to get into the lines is just not something I want to really see. They contain good stuff though and way cheaper than other stores but they lack the necessary employees to focus on cleaning up the messes around the aisles not just get the money from the consumers. This place is the worst. I can't stand Wal-mart anyways and today didn't help. This place was not well stocked and needs to be cleaned. They ( the people who work here) really aren't all that helpful but i know that they aren't paid fairly or given 40 hours a week, so i can understand that somewhat.
