I've been going to this vision center for over 10 years or more. I usually get color lens. But This time I decided to get clear lens. I'm not sure if it's a new brand or not but my eyes was rejected too it. I started to have bad allergies. So I had called them and inform them about it. That I would like to switch back to my color lens instead because I have full box of clear lens I can't use. I try calling them several of them and i always get this one gentlemen that can't help me out. Like he never knows what to do. So I rather talk to the ladies instead but most of the time they are all busy. So I have to keep calling back. by the time I get help, it was already too late that I can't exchanging my contact lens and they can't help me so now I'm stuck with new contact lens that I can't use and I waste my money on for nothing due to that one guy that can't help me out in times for my exchange. I told them they need to fire him. He's definitely useless for the company... because of him, I'm stuck with contact lens that I can't use and waste my money. read more

My experience at this office was wonderful. I had an appointment at 9am and I showed up at 9:30am yet the staffs still let me in. I'm grateful they didn't give me any attitude like DMV customer service did lol. They could have turned me away due to busy schedule ( it was on a Saturday and during covid time, so the office had to maintain social distance measurements) My optometrist was Dr Vicki Vu and she was attentive, attention to details and friendly. She acknowledged my presence, and told me she would need to sanitize the area before I could come in. I'm a kid at heart so I can be curious , and I asked her questions about some eye disorders pictures on the wall. Vicki was happy to answer my questions and gave a good reminder such as always remove my contact lens, showed me how to clean them thoroughly. Also, she made sure I got the test correctly. There was this vision test that I had to retake a few times because she just wanted to assure my vision was on par. I'm very happy to have Dr Vu look after my vision! Thank you Dr Vu! read more

Too bad we actually have to give a star to be able to submit a review. Everything went well up until I had to pick up my glasses . Picked it up the first time - wore it for a week to see if my eyes would adjust to the new prescriptions , but it didn't . Took it back to get everything adjusted . Received it back a week later - this time, I'm not exactly sure what the heck happened but it seemed as if the lens on the right side of the glasses was placed upside down by the lab, so they took it back then and there . Third time I picked it up, the glasses were crooked and didn't even sit right on my face . The girl there took it to the back to fix it but the heat scratched the lens somehow so I couldn't even use it . Got a refund but because I paid with cash, I have to wait for a check in the mail , and make sure the allowance is back on my insurance . Worst fkn experience ever. The associates and manager seemed so nonchalant about everything , it didn't even make sense . Definitely not going back . read more

Terrible. Admin staff is so rude. Have been a patient for almost 20 years started with Dr. Swanson. New Staff & Providers are such a downgrade. Very unprofessional. Broke 2 pairs of glasses & bent beyond repair. Told me my contacts were on back order and then turns out they never ordered them for over 2 months....Asked for trials and acted like it was my fault. Marlene, the providers receptionist told me "Dr said its not gonna fly anymore" I am not sure what kind of medical professional would speak that way. Thanks to Marlene I will go be a cash patient elsewhere. Sure could use some CS training to say the least. read more

Wal-Mart Vision Center has been my go-to place for glasses for many years. Started using their service when I needed a pair of "reading" glasses. When I could have just bought over the counter corrective glasses for $10 I turned to the Vision Center to deck me out in the latest fashion eye wear while keeping the price low. Vision insurance helped immeasurably. With the expansion and renovation currently going on at the Cerritos store, the Vision Center has doubled in size. Now two optometrists man the center, with lots of helpful, friendly assistants who work in the back office (running preliminary eye exams and stocking medical supplies), and the outer office where customers select frames and have their final fitting. I've been to more exclusive optometry offices with family and friends and I believe Wal-mart's Vision Center gives great value and service. Last I checked the basic frames run about $39+lenses. An eye exam is about $50. Unless anything changes, a prescription is good for 2 years. Last time I picked up my glasses the assistant reminded me to have my nose guards changed every 6 months. Went back when my frame came loose. They repaired it while I waited. As a long-time customer I've yet to be disappointed in their service. read more

I'd seen the same eye doctor for years - literally, 23 years - before I moved down to Orange County, which meant for the sake of convenience, I wanted to find a doctor locally. I'd actually put it off for a while until I noticed that things were starting to get blurry in my day-to-day work. Having never needed glasses before, I went into this Walmart Vision Center with the hopes of being told I was just straining my eyes too much, or they were dry. A quick fix. I went through the whole eye exam and at the end was told that I would need a prescription, likely as a result of using the computer all day for work. All in all, the exam, lenses, and frames cost me about $200. A couple months later, I noticed my vision was getting blurry again. Confused and worried that my eyes were degenerating, I returned to the center and the doctor gave me a stronger prescription - blessedly gratis. It seemed to help for a little while. Now, about a half year after my initial appointment there, my vision was getting blurry again. I put off going to see a doctor for weeks in the hopes that it was a fluke. Would I need to up my prescription again? How was it possible my eyes were getting so bad, so quickly? I relented and drove the hour and a half to see my old doctor. Good thing, too. Apparently the prescription Walmart's vision center gave me was not only incorrect, it was - legitimately - the exact opposite of what I needed. They gave me a prescription for driving, essentially, when what I needed was glasses for reading on the computer. I wouldn't be so furious about this situation if it didn't mean that I had damaged my eyes in the interim by using these wrongly-prescribed glasses. Not only is my vision is worse than it was before, it is now irreparably worse for having used the wrong glasses for a while. Don't come here for exams and prescriptions. Only get your lenses or frames here on the cheap - if you must. read more

This place is under new ownership and I'm even more impressed! Dr. Tiffany Vo (I hope that's her name) gave me the most thoroughly eye exam I've EVER had! I've been getting eye exams for over 20 years and she REALLY looked at my eyes to check on their health, especially since I refuse to have a back up pair of glasses. I was thoroughly impressed and felt like she really examined my eyes to see if there were any spots or areas of concern. She is 100% awesome and I want her checking my eyes from now on! read more

I called this morning and scheduled an appointment for 10:20 am. I arrive at 10:10 to be told my appointment is at 11:00 am. I explained to the girl at the desk that I set the appointment at that time because I have to go to work. All I got was sorry we cant guarantee what time you will get out. This is the best place to go get eye contacts!!! Dr. Tiffany Vo is extremely friendly and helps you a ton with contact training. I spent almost two hours getting mine in the first time!! Today I can get my contacts in within five minutes both sides. All of the staff are extremely friendly and affable as well. Everyone working in the clinic has a very pleasant attitude and for me, it makes my day whenever I have the chance to go there. Also their contracted association with Walmart gives you direct access to very high quality and affordable lenses. I love my Acuvue Oasys contact lenses! I've wanted contacts my entire life and kept putting them off, but it's such a worthwhile and affordable investment and I'm super satisfied with the results! read more

I could never be more please to have gone here. Staffs were so nice and sweet. the Optometrist was really nice and very logical. He explains things so you may understand and not just charge you for something that dont make sense. Again, staff went way beyond my expectation. They were so sweet and very helpful even when i called they were willing to assist you. As far as pricing goes... it's just like any other places except it's a few bucks cheaper for the most part. I was like wow. thats great. turns out I paid 20.00 for that extra protection. she slid it on my bill. if i knew i would have to pay for it, i would have not got it. she presented it as if it came with my package. watch your bill go from 35.00 to 180.00 in a matter of seconds. read more

Such professionalism at this location. Loved my experience here. Made an appointment, was busy upon arrival but I did not wait long. The entire team really knows what they're doing and you can tell they work well together. Lewis was amazing, courteous, and an expert multi-tasker. I went one hour prior to closing, he was alone and still it did not take away from his service. He gave me a trial pair of astigmatism lenses to hold me over while my prescription shipped. I've been to this vision center several times over the past few years, but I don't think I'd come here again. I tried to come yesterday around 2:30, but it was closed even though Yelp says it closes at 5 pm on Saturdays. I tried again today and went there at 1, but it was closed again even though Yelp says it closes at 6 pm on Sundays. From what I remember, it has been open on the weekends before. If it is closed on weekends, then the hours should be posted somewhere and/or updated on Yelp. This is inconvenient because I go to grad school and I am volunteering in an elementary classroom for my classes during the weekdays. I was hoping that the vision center would be open during the weekend. I might go to Costco instead to get an eye exam because it's cheaper there anyway. read more

I regretted of coming here to get glasses. The pair I got is only less than 6 months old and I already had to go in 3 or 4 times to have the tightness readjusted. Even now, it is still too loose and I have push up my glasses every 2-3 minutes. Moreover, the coating on the lens is already fading off. I will never come here again. read more

I have used this place a couple of times in past 5 years, since I have no major vision problems aside from nearsightedness. I went in January, got a full checkup...no problems, and was fitted for contact lens. 8 months later, I wanted to purchase lenses--and was told I couldn't, without paying for another examination because the doctor had not "written" my prescription. He managed to give me contacts without determining my prescription!!! Amazing! When I pointed out that was impossible, and most (legitimate) practitioners won't insist on a reexamination until a year has passed, or something else happens to require it...poke in the eye with a sharp stick, etc., I was told it was their policy. I've seen two good optometrists there, but the obvious money gouging by the franchise is a big turn off. I was going to purchase and return, but not any more. If it's in a Walmart, I guess that's clue enough it's there to sell, not provide medical care. read more
