Now the Good Stuff: They remain CALM regardless of how frazzled you might be or get. They are exceedingly polite both over the phone and the in-person movers. They know what they are doing. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. My Personal Recommendations: I was no where near ready to move. Walsh was scheduled. I thought I could make it work. I got sick late Thursday night; too late to reschedule. (I ended up being sick for three days.) Walsh arrived as scheduled Friday morning. I couldn't move let alone move. I had to cancel and reschedule for the following Monday. I was charged a fair cancellation fee. They arrived Monday as promised. They didn't make fun of me still not being ready. Our spectacular realtor recommended Walsh, which turned out to be the most fantastic moving company I've ever hired, out of the handful of companies I've used in the last several years. The Walsh people were extremely professional, kind and humble men, highly capable of moving difficult items, and went above and beyond expectations. Prices were fair and they offered a 10% cash discount. Without exaggeration, hiring Walsh was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. They are a family-owned company with many movers working there for decades, and this makes a huge difference in the service you receive because they act like a big family and treat your belongings with utmost care. We hired them for a Saturday and then were told by our account manager that one of the workers had passed away and that everyone wanted to go to his funeral to honor and remember him. Because of this last-minute change, the account manager said they would move us on a Sunday, when they're normally closed. Kenny was the leader of our team and he was fantastic. We had 3 men including Kenny, and then added a 4th man later in the process of the 10-hour move of two originating locations to one final location. Everyone had a great attitude and worked with great efficiency and Kenny and our account manager were highly communicative before and during the moving process. Furniture had to be moved out of balconies from upper levels (bc objects didn't fit through doorways) and the movers did it all without a second thought. They even told us they've done it from a 4th floor to the ground! When you compare Walsh to other moving companies listed on Yelp (NOTE TO YELP: please remove the other crime ring moving companies from your site!), Walsh is NOT like other moving companies that contract out (at best) or are shells for organized crime rings (at worst). I was NOT hit on by any of the men (unfort that is very common as a woman hiring movers). We were never told "I can't move that" like other moving companies who will tell you that unless it's in a box they won't touch it. Tip: do not hire other moving companies that do not offer a cash discount, 'only take Venmo' and refuse to take credit cards, as they are likely organized crime rings who won't treat your belongings with respect and will hustle you to charge more that what you were quoted. read more

Moving and choosing a company to facilitate the move can be challenging. But Walsh made it easy. They gave us a fair price, offered a discount for cash, showed up on time and delivered in every way. Their men were amazing. Ritchie, Joe, Alvin, Sergio, Nick and Larry did an incredible job of ensuring all our belongings, including antiques and lots of glass items were loaded and unloaded safely without any breakage or losses. They delivered two trucks to our new desert home in over 108 degree temperatures and insisted on doing it all to ensure I only watched and instructed where things go. At 75, that was very much appreciated. At the end, we gave each man a very healthy gratuity as they earned it. I later called Tom and lauded his company, the men and their work ethic. I wholeheartedly recommend Walsh Moving. If you choose them, expect plenty of friendly banter among the men who chide each other on how much or little they are doing. It's all part of their routine to make a hard job more fun. In the end, we felt like they were a group of guy friends who simply came by to help us. The office sent Emilh, a very knowledgeable and polite gentleman, to our Torrance home and did the estimate. Two days before moving, Forrest called to confirm the arrangements and to make sure we were ready. On the moving and delivery date, Walsh sent us fantastic people -- Raymundo, Joe, Sergio, Dan, Eric and Lee. They were the best! Very friendly, courteous, good work ethic, super helpful and willing to do whatever it took to make sure we were happy with where the furniture was placed. Tip: put a note on the outside of the moving blankets to identify the furniture inside so you can instruct the movers where it goes in the house. The reason is because Walsh packed each piece of furniture so well that the moving blankets made it hard to identify what was inside Highly recommend this company, and you cannot go wrong with them. THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST :D Recently moved with Walsh Moving & Storage and couldn't have had a better experience. Ricardo is an excellent and responsive account manager. After submitting an inquiry on their website, Ricardo got in touch with me within minutes. We were able to connect, face time and come up with a plan for the move. We laid out a checklist for all items and Ricardo provided me all the necessary paperwork. Despite being on vacation at the time, Ricardo was still extremely helfpul. I moved from a 2 bedroom apartment in Redondo Beach to another 2 bedroom apartment in El Segundo. I only utilized Walsh for BIG furniture items like couches, fridge, bed etc and boxes - I did not have them pack any knick knacks, food or clothing. Ricardo was able to give me a reasonable estimate of ~$780 for 3 men for 5.5 hours -which I thought was a steal! He was very helpful and sent me email and text confirmations for the move; Ricardo was reassuring and told me all my furniture and bigger items would be transported without any issues. The only small dilemma I had was with the arrival time of the movers, but Ricardo was on it! he arranged the team and sent them over ASAP and was in contact with me throughout the move. Our movers were JOE and SERGIO! these men were gems. SUPER professional, very helpful, strong and amiable all around. I sincerely appreciated with how diligently they worked, they were punctual, and very careful with all the objects. THEY MOVED AN ENTIRE COUCH OUT A SECOND STORY WINDOW! such wizards lol None of my things were damaged. These guys disassembled and reassembled my furniture, placed in spots I asked them to, they laid out carpet runners to protect my new apt, they had ALL the equipment necessary: blankets, straps, dollies, wraps, tape etc. I was very relieved. They also followed proper guidelines for COVID; they wore masks and social distanced. The move was completed in less than 5 hours! since only two men came, my estimate was decreased and I paid much less ~$500 for 2 men for 5 ish hours. I can't thank Walsh Moving enough. I had used another moving company for my last move and they nickeled and dimed me to death because of stairs and the extra feet they needed to walk because it was a large condo complex. My husband and I had to help in order to get the job done. Not with Walsh. These guys started on time and hustled the entire day. No extra charge for the stairs or the distance between the condo unit and the truck. They quoted an hourly amount and stuck to that number. They even took their lunch break in shifts to keep working. They ended up working an extra hour and a half to finish the job but I had no problem paying extra because these guys didn't slack off once the whole day. I called one company and they were completely unreliable and unresponsive. I called Walsh Moving and in the same day I got a quote (very reasonable) and a first available moving day for a day or two after my call. Walsh got me in when needed and moved all my mom's belongings. The crew that made the delivery was professional, courteous, clean and FAST! They were able to pack up a whole house in around three hours. 2) They come prepared. I haven't changed houses in 20 years. Bought a new place and my agent suggested this company. Called about two weeks prior to my planned move. I was given an appointment for a morning move and told the truck would be at my house between 8:30 and 9:00am. The truck was at my front gate before 9:00am. The driver Raymundo, and a helper Julio. They came inside and I told them what was to be moved. The helper went upstairs and started wrapping and padding the furnature. Raymundo chose to wrap the china. The two constantly worked with no "chatter"or distractions. They completed the load and we were on our way to the new house. Not a long drive and when we arrived they unloaded the truck with minimal distractions and place the furnature where I wanted it to be placed. They assembled everything and made sure that I was satisfied with everything. I told them I was more than satisfied and would recommend them to my friends. I had already told one of my neighbors about their service. If I decide to move again, I hope not, I will use their services without any hesitation. Note: They accept Cash, Credit and Debit cards. I spent 3 months packing my household items, souvenirs, heirlooms - my life!! Included were glass shelves, cabinets with glass fronts, tables with glass tops and over 40 framed pictures with glass, not to mention all my furniture. These movers are great! You have to get pass the smack talking that goes on between them...its just part of the process! We had 6 movers, and each of them worked VERY hard. The fragile items were WELL packed, they assembled our furniture upon arrival, and they loaded and unloaded a full house PLUS dropped some unneeded furniture to a consignment shop along the way which was such a HUGE help! The drive time was about 1 hour long. Prior to the move, a young gentleman came over to give us an estimate- and when the final bill came after the move, it was $300 LESS than the estimate! Lucky us. I thought the guys handled our belongings with care - but minus a star - because I found that my daughter's slide was broken (it's plastic, Step 2 brand). She's outgrown it, but still. The owner is a thief! Don't use this service! They are out to scam you! They give you a lowball quote then at the end of job increase the amount substantially and say it is an estimate at first. My job went from $1740 to $2500 for no good reason. The only redeeming quality was the lead mover seemed to be accommodating on most fronts. Although I'm not sure that the movers are in on the scam. They talk nice but in the end you get ripped off. Plus in the end you also have to tip the movers. The movers make it quite clear in their conversations. read more

Can't believe how fast and professional these young gentlemen moved a lifetime of furniture, clothes, very expensive kitchen appliances I paid a pretty penny for and without one scratch. So these guys were pretty terrible. From a grumbling and complaining crew, not delivering on services and ruining a bunch of things. They were hired to pack, move and unpack. During their packing they did things like put free weights on top of plastic containers so the containers broke. They put packing tape on the back of framed paintings woth painted backs which destroyed the art. They broke a TV and didn't unpaack anything. Sergio and Julio arrived on time - super friendly - checked out the layout and we discussed the order of the move. These guys clearly knew what they were doing and quickly wrapped all my furniture, loaded the truck, drove the 1 mile to my new place and unloaded before I knew what happened!!
