My husband and I decided that since we are in our mid- to late- 30s and have just bought a house, that we should put away the pizza and beers we would offer friends, and just hire some movers, already. We moved a couple of weeks ago and are still talking about how happy we are with our experience with Lucky Torrance Movers. First of all, these guys were about the only ones who called me back when I was getting quotes. We were moving a reasonably small two-bedroom place into a much bigger house, and one company quoted me over $700 to do this! $700! What! Lucky Torrance Movers quoted me less than half that for a 3-hour minimum, and ended up moving our whole place in that amount of time. Jamie, and Martin showed up at our apartment earlier even than the quoted time (which was great for me), and called ahead to let us know they were coming. They were very professional and pleasant and did not stop working the entire time. They definitely did not fritter away the three hours. We had mostly furniture to move, so I do not know long it would take with boxed and things like that. Once they had found out about us hiring movers, my sister and her husband offered (I think mostly seriously) to move us for 10% less than Lucky Torrance Movers. But, people, I'm telling you, eat ramen for a week, walk to work, whatever, but do not let your friends and family move you anymore! I have become evangelical about movers! This was the most phenomenal moving experience. Not only were the movers on time but so professional and polite. Derek's team is THE best! I literally want to refer them to anyone I know that is interested in moving in and/or out of Los Angeles. I was nervous having an afternoon appointment time, especially living so close to downtown LA, but they showed up at 2 pm on the dot. My fiancée was there to greet them and the messages and the calls I received from him during their initial removal of the furniture from our previous apartment was only the highest of praises. He could not emphasize enough to me how amazing these guys were. They moved us in the middle of rush hour and still managed to get to the new place in a timely manner and call upon their arrival. Everything was tightly wrapped and zero damage. The men refused any assistance no matter how heavy the item and worked seamlessly as a team. I had 3 movers for a 1 bedroom/1 bath, living room furniture, as well as a gas grill AND even moved some bulk trash items to the front of our house. I was not charged extra for the stairs, which is a first, and it was a really low fee overall based on an affordable hourly rate. In the last 2 tears, I have used three different moving companies in LA. I have to say, these guys are absolutely the best! This is the second time I used their services, and both times they showed up on time and did an amazing job, and their prices are fair too! Most recently, Jesse and Shawn showed up, and they were super fast but also very helpful and careful not to damage anything. They came very early in the morning and were ready to go! A+++ service! I can't say enough about this moving company. I just used them to move me from my 3rd floor apartment to a storage unit in the area. The gentleman that assisted me with my move called 10 minutes before their schedule arrival time to let me know they were in route. By the time I got to the first floor, they were outside waiting for me. They three gentlemen greeted me with warm smiles and introduced themselves. After going over the fees associated with the job, they got right to work. They took time and great care when handling all my items, while still moving at a great pace. They even assisted with helping me move things to my car that weren't going into storage. They were friendly, made small talk throughout the process and were very professional. After packing my belongings into their moving truck, they followed me to the Uhaul storage facility and got right to unloading my items again with great care. I reached out for several quotes from different moving companies and decided to go with Lucky Torrance Movers because they were very quick to respond to my questions, had clear answers for me, and they also had great rates compared to lots of the other companies I checked with. They showed up exactly on time and got to work wery quickly. They took necessary precautions to take care of some of our fragile stuff, and they did not dilly dally, but they were super friendly guys! They finished in about the time we thought it would take. My husband and I hired Lucky Torrance Movers to help us move from one apartment to another in the LA area because I was 8 months pregnant and could not help move large boxes (much less furniture). These guys are amazing! It only took a few hours for them to move everything, even though it was a very war, day. When we arrived at our new place, the landlord was still sealing the floors and we had to wait an hour before we could move in (we had confirmed what time we would be moving in with the landlord, but they were running behind schedule). Lucky Torrance Movers very graciously took their lunch break and then came back to move us into the new place. My husband and I had set aside a few, very fragile items that we thought would be easier to move ourselves than to safely package for others to move. We used Lucky Torrance Movers for our move today. We moved from a 3 story condo into a home with a full basement, with a stop at our storage unit along the way. They sent 4 guys because our move was on the larger scale. The guys were on time, very efficient, professional and courteous. No extra charges for stairs, as with many companies. I cannot recommend this company enough! Wow! So impressed. In the past 10 years my family has moved a dozen times. I cannot say how grateful I am that I was referred to this company. I was faced with an emergency relocation situation (my landlord gave me a 30 day notice to sell the condo I was staying in because of the government shut down) and I was EXTREMELY stressed. I had one month to find a new place with my 90 pound dog, AND I had just been promoted at work with a whole new list of responsibilities. Long story short, I spent so much time focusing on finding a place and coordinating for my team at work that I completely spaced on finding a mover. The move date for my sons move to a different campus apartment changed at the last minute. I called Lucky Torrance Movers in the morning on a very rainy day during the busiest moving time for students. I spoke to Derek and he had a positive can do attitude. He scheduled the move for the same day and the movers did not run behind schedule even though the weather was terrible. Derek kept me updated and the two movers showed up at 8:00 pm. After already working a 12 hour day, both movers were extremely friendly, energetic and had the same positive can do attitude. I was moving out of state and thought i could handle it by myself with a friend, but in the end, needed help to load a truck that i rented because i underestimated the strength it takes to carry heavy furniture and boxed down flights of stairs. I must have been on "something" on the day that I decided a DIY move was an ideal situation. The job that i could not manage was done by Lucky Torrance Movers in 90 minutes! You would be stunned at the amount of things that i had in two bedroom apartment, which included 25-30 large and medium boxes, a dozen pieces of furniture that involved disassembling in some cases, a flatscreen as big as my car, an elliptical, and 15-20 odd items. It was truly the best money that i've ever with no regrets, spent and i don't regret it at all and i'm normally a little bit of a cheapskate. We used Lucky Torrance movers several months ago and I'm just getting around to doing the review now that we're settled in. Mike and Timothy were amazing! They showed up 30 minutes early. I have never seen people move that fast with heavy futniture! They made it look like nothing was heavy. We moved from a three bedroom home to another about 15 minutes away. Packing one house, unpacking and moving all the furniture into their appropriate rooms at the new house took 4 hrs, 45 minutes! They packed the truck like they were playing a Tetris game, and everything fit IN ONE TRIP! This was the first time we hired movers and it was worth every penny! We had no damage to walls. Getting a quote was fast, easy, and was actually realistic. How about that? But the move itself was the real winner. My brother and I were moving out of the state, and I can't find enough words to thank this moving company for their efforts in making our move flawless and stress free! We needed some of the items to be put in storage and the rest was gonna go to our new apartment. We didn't have time to pack everything the right way and it was great that this moving services had the packing option for us as well.The movers were indeed very nice men, acting professionally and quickly. Lucky Torrance Movers was wonderful, and they busted their assthrough the entire morning of our move, which saved usmoney, but managed to move our things securely at the same time. We moved from a third-floor walk-up with narrow turnarounds in the stairweells to a seventh floor apartament with only one elevator. Yeah. Not something that I was looking forward to, but I was completely dazzled by the expertise of the crew that was sent out to move me. We also hired them to pack everything as well because I am not trying to work on my days off. I was skeptical about the process, but they took care to properly wrap ceramics and other fragile items. The first call to the office was great, I just wanted a quote for my move. Sheila helped me, explained everything and provided me with a really great rate. You will never find better movers!! I first used them to move from the Winnetka to Mid City. They gave me a fair quote, showed up right on time to load the truck, were courteous and efficient and took care of my stuff. Three days later they showed up to unload and things could not have gone better. Fast forward eight months and I convinced my new employer to allow me to tele-work from Winnetka. I hoped that Lucky Torrance Movers would consider moving me back, and they did! Tommy & Matthew did an excellent job moving my belongings from Sun Valley to Shadow Hills. My girlfriend and I could not have asked for better people. They were clearly very experienced and professional - they have been a team for a decade and it showed. The process started with a quick sweep of the apartment to strategize which order the pieces would be moved in. Quickly thereafter, they jumped in to gear moving some pieces as a team and then breaking off independently - the whole thing looked like they had moved my things before - as if rehearsed, we could not believe the efficiency.
