Worst cleaning experience ever. I've been here only handful of times, but I am not going back again. I worked from home until recently, so mainly been living in PJs and sweatpants, so I took my clothes to dry cleaners only once or twice a year. This is a turtleneck cashmere sweater, which I used to wear about two to three times a year usually during holiday season to pair with my sparkly skirt. I took this sweater and about 10 other items for dry cleaning last year. I usually hang the items back in the closet after dry cleaning in the exact condition I picked up from the cleaner - in their vinyl bags and their hangers, until I decide to wear the item again. Earlier this year, I wanted to wear a cashmere summer cardigan, so I took it out of the bag and noticed som e hair, clearly not mine, and it was jut not clean. Then I went through some of other cashmere items and they were all like that - not properly cleaned and some random hair all over. I was so upset and took three items back to the cleaner and showed the guy the conditions. He said he'll redo them. I went back and picked them up a few days later, but was too upset to even examine them again. Months passed and I just took this sweater out of closet as I way trying few outfits for tomorrow. The photos are showing the condition of a supposedly dry-cleaned TWICE without single use sweater as of today, 12-3-2025. All different types of hair were found all of over. I cannot take a good photo but it looks like it was washed with darker clothes as there are dark green/blackish lints all over. Also, after you dry clean cashmere, it should look cleaned with no visible lints, but not this. There is no point of taking this back at this point, but I am beyond frustration and I honestly don't think this is clean for me to wear ever again. Again, this was just out of vinyl cover which was taped sealed at the bottom, so nothing got in. The hair strands I collected from this sweater are on the tissue paper which was folded in with this sweater, used by this dry cleaner. I have no pets or kids and this was stored inside the closet space where I barely open since I stored/hid this item (along with the other two sweaters they supposedly re-did the cleaning, which are still in the vinyl cover and I highly doubt that they dry cleaned again) because I was too upset at the time I picked up. read more

I have been going to this location for my dry cleaning needs for years and not only do they have the best customer service, but they do the best job of dry cleaning better than anyone in our neighborhood. They are also very good at repairing clothing as well. I dropped off several sweaters to be dry cleaned here and was dismayed to see them hung up on hangers when I picked them up-- sweaters are typically folded after cleaning to avoid stretching out fabric! At least this is done by every other cleaners I've ever been to. Now I have 3 cashmere/angora sweaters ruined with stretched fabric on the shoulders. Definitely not coming back again. read more

I've been going here for a while but after this last time I've decided to find a different dry cleaners. I gave them a special pair of white designer jeans, which was a mistake on my end because I should've gotten them dry cleaned at a more reputable place considering these jeans are worth nearly $600. I gave these jeans to them with an obvious stain towards the bottom that I pointed out and I had also asked if it were possible to remove a dark line that went around the waist. The owner seemed rushed and said "Yeah just leave them there, we can look for stains ourselves" without even bothering to look at what I was trying to show him. I trusted him since I had gone before with stains and he had no problem removing them. When I came back to pick these jeans up, the stain was gone but the dark line around the waist had gotten a lot darker, had somehow spread to other seams, and my jeans had turned into an almost cream color opposed to the original slightly off-white color. I asked them what had happened and if they would be able to fix their mistake. The owner just brushed it off and said something like "Well your jeans came with a dye and our dry cleaning just made the dye set. Nothing is wrong with your jeans so there's nothing to fix". Not even a simple sorry, just essentially telling me that I shouldn't have dry cleaned them. There is something wrong with the jeans considering they now look like I went hiking in them and got dirt all over, I don't understand how he can say "There's nothing wrong with them" Honestly, they weren't bad with dry cleaning basic shirts but anything other than a plain collared shirt, I would 100% take to a different place. read more

After the great reviews here and upon the recommendation of another dry cleaner who did not have the proper equipment to dry clean drapery, I bought drapery here to be dry cleaned. It took five days, which is good, but I came out of here feeling like I'd been ripped off. I brought in two sets of drapery. One had two larger panels and two smaller panels, plus a single panel the width of a doorway. (So 5 total.) The other had two larger panels (larger than in the first set) and 4 smaller panels. (So 6 total.) When bringing them in, we were told they'd have to see how large they were to figure out how much it would be. We were never told. I arrived on pick-up to find that I was being charged nearly $510 for all of the panels. I was told that each set was charged equally because they "were the same size and number." It wasn't until I got home and started thinking about it: The first set was not only fewer panels, but smaller in size total. So that one worked out to about $50 each panel, including one panel that cost $30 to buy new. I could have simply bought new drapes for less. The second set worked out to about $42 per panel. Why the discrepancy? I have no idea. $50/panel for cotton drapery that I very likely could have thrown in the washing machine?!? And that's why I feel entirely ripped off. They should have called us and let us know how much it would be before charging such a ridiculous price. And the price for each panel should have been the same, not with one set being more than the other when it had fewer panels that in total were smaller in size. Also, the single doorway panel smells mildewy now, like when you forget about clothes in a washing machine for a day or two. So I might have to get rid of it or try to machine wash it myself. Not what I'd expect to pay $50 to clean a $30 panel. Gross. I won't be going back. Total rip-off. read more

I have been going to this dry cleaner for 20 years. The family that runs it are so genuine and nice and polite and professional. They always greet me by name and are more than accommodating to help me with anything I need including delivering when I have larger items cleaned. There are many drycleaners who will get the job done - they will clean your clothes but it is nice to get the friendly service and nice smile every time. They always do a good job I even get alterations done by the mom. She is so wonderful knowing exactly what and how the alternation need to be. They offer organic cleaning although I am not sure what that means because isn't dry cleaning process using chemicals? But I appreciate their ecological consciousness. read more

They are polite and do a decent job dry cleaning clothes. But, you have to point out the specific spots that they need to pay attention to otherwise they'll miss it. I have had to bring several items back for them to dry clean again. I don't recommend having any clothes taken there for alteration. I had taken a jacket in to have it altered and it was completely done wrong. I had to take it to another place to fix the jacket. I will not take any clothes for alteration there again. read more

Last year, my husband came to get jeans hemmed and it came out uneven with a curvy hem. They told him it's bc there is elasticity in the jeans, but assured him that's the proper way. I've had over 20 pairs of jeans hemmed in the last 10 years (not with Walteria Cleaners). We all know when it's done right or wrong and we don't want to argue about it. I also had a kids jacket dry cleaned there with faux fur hood trim. The faux fur was fried after. They also pressed one of my dresses with soft pleats which turned out crooked. I think it should have been steamed instead. They've cleaned all my husband's shirts fine. They are nice people which makes me sad to write this. If you're not hemming jeans with elastic, dry cleaning anything with faux fur or a detailed dress, go here. read more

Should have probably given one star, but for some reason I'm being generous. Tried this place out for the second time - once About a year ago because it's close and then just this week. I recall it being slight more expensive when I first tried them but didn't think much of it at the time. This time, I picked up my order and everything was done well. No complaint about the quality. Friendly staff, nice workmanship, etc. Only problem is that when looking at my bill, I was overcharged. When I called, the first person told me I shouldn't have been overcharged, but I should call back the next day to speak to the owner. So I called back and spoke to the owner and he told me that they charge different prices (laundering shirts - not even dry cleaning) based on the color of the shirts, and dark shirts are more expensive. The only problem is my shirts are all white and light blue. They also upcharged me for a basic cotton/wool sweater saying it was "cashmere." When I called him out, he said he thought I had dark shirts and they thought the sweater was cashmere. He continued to say it was only 10% more than what he should have charged. But most of all, he didn't say "oops" or "I'm sorry" or "we will make it better next time." I didn't call for a refund or a credit - and I was just hoping it was a misunderstanding. I never asked for a refund. But when I went through this with the owner, he said nothing - no apology, no attempt to have me come in again or make it right next time. Instead he said, "ok" and quietly hung up. I wanted to like this place - seems like a quality family owned shop. And, for what it's worth, I think this is one of my only negative reviews on yelp! I'm normally not one to criticize poor service (instead I tend to praise exceptional service) but when you are overcharged, lied to, and then hung up on, it's just not cool. Hopefully for the next customer who checks their bill the owner will do the right thing and try to make it right first. read more

The owner assisted the customer in front of me to his car, carrying all the finished shirts and pants. He quickly got back behind the counter to assist me. I dropped off dress pants on Monday late afternoon, and the owner said they'll be ready by Thursday. Pretty good turnaround time without having to ask for expedited service. Walteria is an empire, running a church, a school, a liquor store, and a dry cleaner, among many more. I don't know about the other Walterias, but the dry cleaner should make its brethren uncomfortable. It claims expert alterations, but they aren't. They fail at simple tasks like pressing a coat. They also keep an item for several days before informing a customer that they can't do what they said they could. I hope their other enterprises are easier to run. Maybe they should gut this store and bring in a new Walteria. I recommend a business not requiring skillful management. read more

As with any business, it's hard to find a place that one can trust. For example, back when I wasn't smart enough to know that not every dress shirt needs to be dry cleaned, I was taken for a ride at a place in LA that will remain nameless. (Screw them! by the way...) Luckily, I've found a new place close to work that is honest AND do a great job laundering and dry cleaning my dress shirts. The workers there are polite and very customer service oriented.
