The worst. I only use a local laundry when something is wrong with my home setup, but when I do need one I hit up Barbara's on Torrance. Not sure what the hell was going on there yesterday, most machines out of order and the few working were full so I looked up this dump. I ignored the reviews, how terrible could this be I asked, I just need to do a few emergency loads. Well, turns out I should have just waited it out at Barbaras. This place needs some serious refurbishment. Broken down stuff covered in tarps, smell of moldy water all present. Coin changer took a dollar and a dryer did the same and the chap running the place ducked out. When I was there someone called him to come deal with a jam and he promptly left. Seriously pounding my clothes on rocks at the river's edge would beat this place. Oh and 5.75 loads. read more

This place takes your money literally, I put a $20 in the machine which they take up to $20 as the limit and did not get change. Thank goodness i had quarters. However some machines took my quarters. I have never experienced this in my life will never come here again! read more

I was thoroughly impressed with the ownership of Torrance Laundry Center. They were incredibly helpful and cleaned my Ruggable for a reasonable charge. Other places quoted enormous amounts, but Torrance did a fantastic job. Drying a washable carpet takes time on low heat to ensure it's completely dry, and they handled it perfectly. What a DUMP!!! Came here today hoping they had made the place nicer, NOPE! Just run into the ground more. Dirty, gritty, just kinda gross. Tried to use hot water in machine, NOPE! Just cold. The owner does not like hot water use, too expensive. He's done this to me years ago, blames a faulty water heater. Been coming here 20 years now and will never come back. They gave done nothing to this place but let it rot. It used to be very clean, until they bought it and are just trying to collect profits until no one comes. The couple that runs this laundromat do an EXCELLENT JOB! They provide service for individuals who want someone else to do their laundry, and they do so at a very competitive price. They are close to anyone who lives in Torrance, especially, and they can have your laundry all done THE SAME DAY! Other laundry services usually need a day to complete the task, and they charge more, too. Horrible wash and dry. I put my load into the large load washer and it didn't even work. I had to wait to till the timer on the load was over to get my stuff out. Such a disappointment and waste of time and waste of 7 dollars. Not to mention there's mold everywhere I did not notice till my stuff was in the washer locked already. No one was in the Landry Matt, and I see why. DISGUSTING and nothing works. I wouldn't risk coming and trying a washer that has no sign saying "out of service " some of them do have the sign but mine didn't say that and still didn't work. If I could I'd give it zero. There's hardly any parking because nearby businesses only allow 30 minute parking. This place is dirty and unattended, even on a Saturday afternoon. The machines look wore out; yet, they cost $3.50 for a tiny machine. There's larger machine for $4.50 and $5.50. The dryers cost $1 for each 20 minutes. The tv is left on with info commercial repeating over and over. There's nowhere to sit while you wait on the machines. The one big chair is coin operated and the alarm goes off if you sit in it. This place is a Laundromat.. and it's THE DIRTIEST laundromat I've EVER been to. So Gross. I have attached pictures. They offer services to do your own laundry and looks like they don't even do their OWN laundry here. Such as filthy place. Most of the washers are out of service. read more

I dont know what happened to this place. It used to be exceptionally clean. The machines were in great condition. I'm using two machines, one is cycling the clothes and the other hasnt even finished filling! We used to come all the time then moved away. We're back to visit and have been in here several times. It's just dirty. No one is keeping the place up. They just collect the quarters and go. They dont even unlock the bathroom any more. It really is a terrible shame. So sad. read more

3.5 stars. Decent laundry place. Located in a nice little residential and shopping area of Torrance (next to Daiso, Tokyo Central, across Walmart and Pet Smart). Came here on Regular weekday night so it was quiet and empty. Plenty of parking is available. Machines are from $1.75~. Medium size machines are $3.95~$4.25. Larger one is available too. Ofc dryer is 25 cent. I didn't see no workers though. Machines look pretty old but works. read more

Very good and easy to use machine. My cloth very clean. Its near walmart and Daiso shop. I like go to shopping. The shop is not busy, less people. Feel private and comfortable. Have free wifi. Never got to the point of washing my clothes because the one chick in the place was so rude. All up in my business making sure that I was going to be using her machines if I wanted quarters, told me that she's losing business. There was absolutely no one in there but her. Oh honey, you're not losing business because of your quarter machine... They used to have a Yelp page with low reviews and they must've deleted it to make a new page, but surprise, surprise, still undeserving of praise. read more

One star for only being open. The place is so dirty, run down, and ghetto. We came here for emergency reasons only. We had come years ago and it was a decent place. What the Hell happened ??!! So many washers broken and other machines pushed to the side in disrepair. Floor was filthy, old laundry strewn about, and tables looked stained. Better Business Bureau should be called. If you have other nearby laundromats I recommend you check them out before going here. The rating is based on the dryers. They have the nice big industrial dryers which we've all seen before. However something's not quite right at this location. I can't tell you if they are tampering with the heat settings, blocking the exhaust, not opening the gas lines all the way or maybe just not cleaning the lint traps, BUT I can tell you your clothes will take forever to dry. The weird thing is you can feel the heat when you touch the glass. This is why I believe it's a combination of lowered heat settings and bad ventilation. But that's just speculation so I'll just stick to the facts. Fact is it takes me double the time to dry clothes than normal and more time equals more money. Something tells me it's not an entire wall of faulty dryers so I think the owners are being dishonest. FYI, each load of laundry went from a machine into it's own dryer. Plenty of room in the dryers as the clothes tossed around. It got to the point where I stopped feeding the machine and left with slightly damp towels and clothes. Yep, I'm putting away slightly damp clothes which is why I felt the need to write this review. Needless to say I will not be back. read more
