They redid my drainage. They were great; on time, polite, thoughtful, efficient - I wouldn't hesitate to retain them again.

If they offer to give you a home survey for a fee you should decline. You can get them for free from other contractors.

Part one of a two part foundation project Recently we had…read moreour house foundation repaired by Groundworks out of Fairfield. One bedroom had sunk by almost 5 inches as that part of the house had been built on fill. In order to restore the house to it's proper level numerous foundation jacks and floor leveling screw jacks were required. In addition some landscaping bushes and pvc sprinkler pipes had to temporarily removed. Groundworks had informed me prior to starting work what would be required to successfully complete this project and had my full approval. The house is now level, the doors no longer swing on their own and the interior cracks between the walls and ceiling joints no longer exist. Prior to the crew leaving the yard was cleaned up and the pvc pipes replaced. Best of all Groundworks will come back annually to the next 5 years and make any necessary adjustments. The Groundworks crew that made this happen was Andrew, the site supervisor, Charlie and Allen. Their performance and daily communication was superior on all levels. This is part 2. The Groundworks Poly crew of Anthony & Brian were very fast and efficient in completing their part of the foundation repair contract which was to level our family room slab floor. Fast, yes, but Anthony did take the time to not only explain what they were going to do but also walked me through the process as they were working. I have no problem in recommending them & Groundworks to other home owners who need to have their foundation repaired.

The pool was installed in 1999…read moreand is still looking good, but the concrete structure showed its years and had linear cracks in places and one place the concrete shifted about a quarter of inch. So I thought I would have it repaired for beautification purposes. Brian the representative that came out is a fast talker and didn't explain the process of what Groundworks would and could do to improve the cracking of the concrete floor! I certainly thought that after paying $4000.00+ dollars I would be able to see a difference in the concrete. I didn't see no difference other than some lifting on the crack by the steps of the pool. Another problem I have is their is overspray of the polymer on my privacy fence. I know it is from the polymer because it is where they sprayed by the steps and diving board. I'm certainly not happy with the outcome. The crew that came were here approximately 1 hour 33 minute. WOW 4000.00 dollars just choose wisely ask a lot of questions make sure you understand what the process is. I will not refer them Stayprayedup DP

Levi Sanchez made the process seamless in its execution and follow through. Francisco paid close attention to every detail along the way. The whole process was fascinating. Never have I have any work done on my house where the workers left the place cleaner and more picked up than it was when they arrived. And things looked pretty darn good when they got here. I told them they made the neatest mess. Even the stones along where they dug down for the project were replaced better than I had arranged them. I could go on and on ... Considering how everything went so smoothly before during and after the construction, I don't think I could beat the service and value that I received. I passed Perma Level's info on yesterday to my handyman who sent it to a client of his who may give you all a call. Thank you for a great experience overall.

I had no doubt that our home was in competent hands. The workers worked very hard for about 18 days. We had 33 push piers in total. Francisco took the time to show me how the push piers worked and shared with us all the steps. Both Levi and Francisco were patient in answering all of our questions. The team was thoughtful and showed up on time every day. They secured our home when they left for the day. Our home is noticeably level now. To add, they were priced fair. The icing on the cake is when they mailed me the certification that the construction done meets all the structural requirements for structural pier placements and copies of all the pier logs and their measurements all nicely put in a folder for our records. We are all set for the roof top deck now! Thank you Levi Sanchez and Francisco for a job well done.

I've had Damon & his crew (Carlos, Carlitos, Marcos, Samuel) do a couple jobs for me now (these…read morethings tend to snowball, ugh, lol) & they've always done top-notch work. I had a fan in my master bathroom crap out on me, which was weird, since I only bought my place 4 years ago, it was newly remodeled, & I even remodeled some more on top of that. My wife pointed out it wasn't working, but it looked new to me, so I popped the cover to find out...not new at all. New COVER over a fan that was a year younger than the missus. Uh oh. The old "lipstick on a pig" boogie from the prior owners/ seller. Damn. Hate getting hoodwinked. So, I think "well, better check the 'new' fan in the guest bath too." Pop THAT shiny, nice cover & ...same drill but even OLDER. Some mid-80's (I think) giant 13" circular fan they don't even make anymore. Double ugh. Last stop: laundry room. Final fan, pop the cover...whew, it's actually a new-ish fan. 1 outta 3 ain't bad, right? /sigh So I put out the feelers for an electrician (I had 2 dead outlets, 1 indoor, 1 outdoor as well) & after doing the "online quote" thing w/ Yelp, I got in touch w/ Damon @ Berkeley Home Repair. Funny dude, super helpful, quick & responsive. He schedules his electrician, Carlitos, to come out ASAP, for what I think is gonna just be a basic fan install & outlet fix job. Nope. Carlitos goes into the attic & discovers the ducts are all wrong. 3 fans running thru 2 ducts, both bathrooms on the same 4" line, & laundry room on some weird 3" duct. Now, you can get away with 4", but 6" is code & preferred, & every fan has to be on its own dedicated/ independent duct, or you're just blowing moisture from room to room & into the attic. Not good. We crawl the attic together & confirm I need a 3rd roof penetration & new ducts. So much for cheap & easy. Damn. Damon adjusts the bid (as gently as possible, considering my costs just went up almost 10x) & I wind up with 2 brand new Panasonic Whisper Quiet fans (amazing. Almost TOO quiet), a new roof penetration & cap, new independent 6" ducts for each fan, an excellent sheetrock patch & paintjob on my guest bath ceiling (prior, old-timey fan was just way too huge compared to current models) AND Carlitos fixed both dead power outlets (one of which turned out to be an arcing short/ broken wire inside the wall, which we were lucky to catch before a fire). All the workers were amazing to work with & did great on their specific parts of the now much larger order. Everyone worked quickly &, despite the gig snowballing far beyond the expected, Damon priced fairly & had the work done as fast as possible with minimal intrusion & inconvenience (crucial during these pandemic "work from home" times) Tho it was obviously a bummer to have a small job turn into a much bigger & more expensive one, I always felt like I was in good hands with Damon, his communication was clear, direct, quick & honest, & the outcome was excellent. I'll definitely be using Berkeley Home Repair for future work, since homeownership often means nasty surprises like the one I got ain't all that rare, unfortunately. Heh. At least now I know who to call to get sorted fairly & quickly. Thanks fellas! Will try to post pics when I get a chance...but most of this was "behind the scenes" work, or what my buddy likes to call "invisible money", heh.

I called this company and spoke to a guy named Damon who asked me to text him photos of the project…read moreI had in mind as well as a diagram with measurements. I did that. In fact, on the call he said I could text or email him and I asked specifically which mode he preferred - he said that text would get the fastest response. So I texted. No response. Called a couple times. No reply. This place has either closed or has awful customer service and communication. I'm grateful that I didn't spend long on this company but I still wish I could get my time and energy back spent schmoozing this guy who would end up ghosting me Edit: I got a notification 35 minutes after posting this review that he commented and I couldn't be happier that I left one star. Bro wrote an actual essay on yelp instead of doing good business
