I've received two emails from the owner of Warriorfit telling me that "he's sorry I didn't grasp what they do," basically putting me down instead of truly taking in and using my criticism constructively. I didn't respond. He also said I was expecting a Crossfit workout. Nope. I don't do Crossfit, I disagree with a lot of what Crossfit does, especially since it's injury rate is so high. And I certainly wasn't expecting a Crossfit workout when I tried Warriorfit. However, pretty much everyone in the fitness industry is doing some variation of metabolic conditioning -- whether it's bootcamp style, Crossfit or something else. And I know what metabolic conditioning is, because I've trained with some of the best in the industry. Warriorfit is, indeed, practicing metabolic conditioning. Sending repeated emails telling me I didn't "get it" shows a real lack of class, so I'm sticking with my two stars. And that's generous. I'm doing so because I think Warriorfit's intention is to help people and because it probably does help some people. I just don't think it's the most effective way to do so and I see lots of room for improvement in the coaches' technique, methodologies, and now business practices and just plain manners. And, despite the owner comment posted below, not one of the people in my class was there for martial arts instruction. They weren't martial artists. They were there for general fitness and conditioning. His martial arts instruction was the best part of the workout, but it was a SMALL part of the workout and probably what Warriorfit should stick to teaching. Problem is there is more demand for general classes. As for my "qualifications," 1.) I'm pretty sure I do not need to be qualified as a consumer of such services. This should tell you what the tone of his messages to me was really like. And 2.) I will be earning my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist cert, which is more than what any of the instructors there has. Yuck, yuck, and yuck. *Postscript: This guy just can't take criticism (like a man, or like a woman) and use it to improve. It's obvious from the ongoing back and forth. It's also pretty obvious how many of friends he's gotten to write reviews since I posted mine. Ugh. Who has the time for this? Again, just because you've practiced martial arts does not mean you should be teaching general fitness classes, especially if you are unlicensed and uninsured. But, hey, the liability is yours to assume. Good luck with that. read more

Lets Go Warriors! I was honestly skeptical to use this place because I have a slight anxiety disorder and do not like big classes. BUT this class works for me! Everyone one is class is nice and encouraging, as we are all just trying to make ourselves better. I am going on my fourth week, and I am sure that if I go for 2 more months I will reach my goal. I love the fact that they offer 7 & 8 oclock classes Monday through Thursday and 7 pm classes on Friday. I work late shift at work and do not get off until 6 pm, and was afraid I would be stuck in traffic and not make it to class ontime, but I have made it early since the day I started. My first week was brutal. I was injured, back and shoulder, and could not do all of the moves or even move as fast but the instructor for the day David- gave me alternatives and stretches so that I could get well soon. I no longer have the injuries.The classes are very upbeat, you are constantly moving and challenging yourself. The instructor often says " Just dont stop, I dont care if you move slow, Just KEEP MOVING"! I love that they are motivating and really want you to work for it. Class always starts off with a ten minute run. I havent mastered my breathing yet so this is horrible for me, but I at least try to get through it every time. Each class is different. Some days there are different stations where the instructor will have you do different moves. There are days where we are all about the punching back and we are kicking and punching for a good 20 plus mintues. There are days when we are outside on the field running up and down the field, squatting up and down the field, lunging, bear crawling, and all of the above. Im allergic to class and after a bad reaction to an outdoor session I go to the later class so I do have red bumps on my arms the next day at work :(. There is always stretching, and always abs. I like the fact that they target your whole body and dont forget about the booty, abs or back :) Overall Warriorfit is def worth giving a try, if you dont end up loving it at least you tried something new. I love it after 3 weeks, I actually did two sessions yesterday so that I didnt have to work out on Friday- and I felt great after doing it. Lots of sweat but lots of smiles today I got a great deal on Amazon Local $20 for a month of unlimited classes, I def want to get a membership for the rest of summer. Great promotion! I love this place! I started working out here in March when I had a voucher for a month for $20 through Amazon Local/Living Social. After a month of working out here and going about 3 times a week I decided to sign up for the program and make a commitment of 3 months. I even brought my mom in to try a class for free and she loved it so much that she signed up too! This boot camp has experienced instructors with martial arts backgrounds and most of all they are friendly and they listen to their members' needs. Sensei (stands for coach in Japanese) David is one of the founders and instructors here and he really know how to get people in shape. Roberto is another amazing instructor there! Don't expect to not be yelled at, this is what boot camp is all about and why it's so great - you will be very motivated and challenged by the exercises. Besides the regular workout sessions they also organize hikes once in awhile, mud runs, and other type of outdoor activities that require exercise and getting everyone together. At some point you kinda just feel part of the family at Warrior Fit. All the members are nice and some of the partner activities get people acquainted with one another. Every workout is a challenge and you also get to learn some martial arts moved. Sensei David incorporates some martial arts moves in his workouts and some boxing moves. I usually go to the 8pm class, twice a week and to the Saturday or Sunday 90minute class at 10am. The 7pm classes are more crowded but you still get the same great workout. The place is a warehouse in its nature, that has been turned into a great workout zone. Don't let the appearance of this place mislead you, the instructors are stellar and they will get you results! If you wanna be surrounded by chicks in Lululemon workout outfits and impeccable conditions join a fancy aerobics class, if you want results come to this place and see what these instructors are capable of. They are constantly trying to improve the place, eventually there will also be showers as the business develops and more members join. Try a class for free! You won't regret it. Let's be serious we all have that gym membership that we barely used, I am a prime example of that but now I actually workout 3-4 times a week and I am committed to this program. Warriorfit fulfills my three workout requirements ~ it combines cardio & strength, I feel challenged during each session and the workouts are ever changing! As one of the 6am Warriorfitters said this morning, it is great for the ADHD exercisers among us! This is the first time I have committed to early morning workout classes, and as anyone who knows me can attest, my getting out of the warm, comfy bed at 5am speaks volumes for what I think of the class. I started with WarriorFit when they had a LivingSocial deal back in July and have been a fan of the program since! It's really awesome to see the program (and small, local business) grow in terms of membership, and also number of locations. What's also nice is that you begin to see members feel personally accountable for the growth of the program. Everyone chips in to help and we all encourage each other to push harder or finish that last rep. What's great about Sensei David is that he listens to the needs of the students, and you can tell he's dedicated to growing the program. Not only does he coordinate events outside of the classes, he's also been expanding class availability based on student input. Most notably, he's now offering a 5:30am class, and Friday classes. And I must agree w/ the first poster, getting me out of bed that early for a class just goes to show how motivating the classes and instructors are. In my case, I have to wake up at 4:30, YIKES!! After 6 months, the classes are just as challenging as the first class you attend. We always get a bit of cardio in the beginning of the class, and the rest is a mix of strength training, calisthenics, martial arts, endurance training...you name it. The senseis have martial arts background, so every once in a while they'll work that into the routine. We also pair up into groups, so you can't be afraid of other people's sweat. Most likely you'll be dripping all over the place, too. As for my own progress, I went from a size 8 to a size 2 in this time frame - going to class 3 or 4 times a week (sometimes more and often no less). No, class alone won't get you there if you're trying to lose weight, because it's just as important as what you put on your plate outside of class. However, I can do more pushups now than I could have ever done in my life. If you're still debating on whether or not to join, try a class. It's free and if you want, sign up for a week to get a better feel. You can do a week for under $20 if you're not ready to commit. I'm sure plenty of you out there, like me, had a gym membership that sat there unused, so it could hardly hurt to try this because you will actually want to go. There's just something about set schedules and classes, and working out with others that is that much more motivating. It's not easy, and it's not for everyone, but if you're motivated and have a strong will to stick to the program, you won't regret it. If I had to criticize the program, I only wish there were even more classes throughout the day and a shower for those days you don't have enough time to go home and head out again. However, I hear this is in the works, and ultimately is determined by membership growth - that's small business for ya. Not enough to warrant taking away a star though. read more

Great HIIT workout that's fun and effective! I usually see a difference in a week after taking a break from working out (holidays, travels, etc.). Every class is different and the music is awesome! After doing Insanity, BodyRock, various boot camps and sports conditioning classes, Warrior Fitness is my favorite and one I have stayed with since joining last year. read more

Love Sensei David's workouts !! Simple yet effective .. I get bored with sit-up and push-ups at my regular gym.. My gripe? Instructor no shows ..late on several occasions .. No explanation no apology . not cool!!! I as much as I like the workouts no shows and tardiness of instructors don't sit we'll with me .David himself says half the battle is getting up .. Umm. It doesn't get better than Warrior Fitness. It is the type of program where you feel accomplished. You look. You feel great. David is an incredible instructor. He knows how to change workouts to make it best fit you. It is a lot of work, but if you are willing to put in the effort, you will see great results. Great trainers and great classes. The only reason I stopped going was because times didn't accommodate my work schedule.

The 2 stars speak for its self. I'm tired of paying money to have the trainer show up late or not show up at all. It has happened consistently and it is very unprofessional. Get there on time! At the end of the day, I'm sure you get paid. Get your job done! SMH. read more
