So this place is a little different. Now I never understood the rinsing of the bottles when the water you are rinsing is the water you had in the bottle and the water you will rinse with but this location has a sign that seems very negative that says Don't rinse! They have bandanas (not sure why unless they are cooling) and they have drinks, thrifty ice cream, AND snow cones but this place is kind of dark and seems dingy because of the darkness. It was dark because about half of the light bulbs were out. It didn't look planned either because it was random. Anyway, it is what it is, water, but I probably won't return to this water and ice store. read more

The customer service is terrible. The lady who works here is okay (most of the time) but the old man is always irritated for some reason. One time I accidentally turned the faucet the wrong way and it sprayed water everywhere. The old man ran over to me and started yelling at me asking me "Why you make it rain?!" I understand that english is not everyone's first language but I almost laughed in his face when he said that lol. I told him to chill out and left some money on the counter to avoid anymore awkwardness. As I was walking out I saw him cleaning up the water and shaking his head. I've been coming here for about a year and have never had a terrible experience, the little lady that works there never gave me any issue or provided terrible customer service. But today, I went it to fill up my 6 gallons, and it was an older man. Very rude, and by the looks of the reviews, it seems like he is always like that. We went her to refill our bottled water. Their faucets created a small side spray of water when dispensing that hit the window behind the faucets. The man working became visibly upset - it was WATER. He stood anxiously as we finished filling out bottles before cleaning the entire area as we waited to check out. I don't speak Vietnamese, but I am 99% certain we were being sworn at in Vietnamese. I needed a fresh jug of water and found this place on Yelp, close to where I already was, and stopped to get my water. The outside dispenser was only a quarter so I put my money in the slot, held the bottle under the spigot, and pushed the button. Instead of going inside the bottle it began spraying all over me, my key fob, and the outside of the jug. What the heck?? It took me a minute to realize I had forgotten to take the lid off first! So I had a laugh at myself, went inside to explain what happened and asked the nice, good looking young man behind the counter if I could top my bottle off since it was about a cup short of full. He smiled and said go ahead, which I appreciated. On the way out I got panhandled by a young mother with a toddler in a stroller, caved in and gave her a dollar. I'm usually pretty good about saying no to that but the sleeping kid won me over. So my cheap water ended up costing me more than store bought. Such is life. My sister and I were treated so horribly. I will N E V E R go back. I'm reviewing to prevent any readers from experiencing the same disrespect, or for the owners to do an overhaul on their customer service. Please read. I love Thrifty's Ice Cream. It's hard to find in my state so I was excited to learn it was being sold at this Water and Ice. My sister and I were greeted by two soft hellos as we entered. After reviewing the ice cream options we each asked for a sample. (Every ice cream shop I've ever been to provides samples. Furthermore there was a bowl of spoons near the ice cream cone sizes and pints display. So I believe asking for samples is regular ice cream shop request.) The woman behind the counter gave me a piece of ice cream SO SMALL I tasted nothing but the spoon. She did the same to my sister. Now the spoons she used were regular size so we figured maybe that's why the samples were so small. We ignored the first sign and for another sample. I asked for Rocky road. As she was "preparing" the sample I noticed she was literally only putting the chocolate on the spoon. While she was "scooping," dipping really, I asked her to include a marshmallow. (Yes I would like to taste the marshmallow in a Rocky Road sample.) She acted as if it was the biggest chore to do it. I was given a sample that was a marshmallow with a drop of chocolate in it. I don't know WHY I was even willing to buy ice cream after that. My sister saw her response and had to ask me what's her problem. That's how I knew I wasn't reading too much into things. I told my sister never mind, I'm not interested in the ice cream. Just pick your own and let's go. My sister got one scoop of ice cream. It was so small, I swear it was less than what the scoop is made for. She reluctantly rang us up for $2.17. I gave her two one dollar bills, one dime, and two nickels. ($2.20) I kid you not, she raised her voice at me, saying "I SAID TWO SEVENTEEN!" I told her "THIS IS TWO TWENTY!" That was the final straw for my sister. She picked up the change and said you know what, I don't want your ice cream if you're gonna be rude. The woman shouted something in her language then slammed the ice cream in the trash. In a few words we told her she's disrespectful, needs to learn customer service, and was acting as if we wrong her. We are never, ever going back there. Not if it was the last Thrifty's on Earth. I don't know why she was literally irritated that we entered a shop that sells ice cream to buy ice cream. I can only think of race being the reason. Who knows! Any way I would give negative stars if I could because the only things I got from this location were to taste a spoon twice, talked to as if I was stupid for having enough money, and cursed out. Do not come here! If I could rate 0 I would. I have NEVER received such terrible service from anywhere! There was one lady working, I'm not sure if she's the owner or just an employee but she was so rude! Rolled her eyes and grunted as I asked for a sample, was rushing me, and had the worst attitude I don't even know how to describe!
