10/10 alkaline water and experience. I can not only taste the difference in quality of water here compared to other places I've filled my water at but I can actually feel the difference. Also they have fresh pressed juice there that's out of this world; all organic ingredients and made on the spot. There's so much care that's gone into this store and you can feel it. Now that the owner retired, the new family members took over and painted the interior, they have jacked up the price by 33% with the excuse that "everything is going up." Been a customer at the McDowell location next to the Dollar Tree for years...Then they sadly had to close that location. My review will be about the quality of the water, not about something trivial like paying $0.25 per bottle to wash out my bottle. There is a clear sign that states their charge and reason. Ultimately just wash your bottles out at home. Especially in the COVID era we live in. I digress. Their water quality is fantastic. When I can't make it to the Water Mart, and I go elsewhere, I really notice the difference in taste. Those blue dispensers you see everywhere just don't taste as good. Some of those one offs seem even worse. I always buy a water card to save some 'coin' on 15 gallons. Again, their water always tastes fresh and does not taste like it goes through a used unchanged filter. I wish I would have it in me to try their wheat grass and review it...maybe I will edit this if I ever do in the future. read more

I have been a customer here for approximately four years. Recently, they changed their policy that you can't rinse your bottles without a charge. There's no indication of how much they charge for the 2-3 ounces that you might use. Considering a gallon is $0.30, do they round up? Charge a nickel? What about the times where you accidentally overfill and water overflows? Whoops!!! That's an extra dime please!!!! If I don't fill my five gallon jug to the brim, do I get a credit? Or is there a max-fill line I wasn't aware of? If you're going to try and charge by the ounce, you need to add meters to your spouts so you can do a true measurement of how much I'm dispensing. Your current system isn't set up for your new policy, so the only thing you're doing is pushing your long time customers out the door. read more

I called the store to ask some questions & the lady on the phone was extremely rude saying "do you have anymore questions, I have customers here!" I said "well I guess you don't need me as one." She said "no" & hung up. Since when is it ever ok to be rude to anyone? She had no idea who she was talking to. What if I owned that business... she would have been fired today. Worse yet if she is the owner she should not treat people like that. A lesson in manners...Last time I checked, customers keep businesses open. Bad attitude, bad Karma. No thank you Water Mart. This location is just North of Sprouts Market. Upon moving and no longer having a fridge with a water dispenser, I frequent this store biweekly. There are two employees who operate the shop and are always most welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They keep neat and clean. There are several filling stations and I've never had to wait to fill up my 5 gallon jug. They do have two alkaline water station available, but it takes a long time to fill. Many people drop off their containers to have filled with the special water. They offer a $15 prepaid water card which gets you 40 gallons of purified. This is the method I prefer to use. Every visit, I show my card and get 5 gallons crossed off after a fill up. You may also purchase various sizes of water jugs in both plastic and glass. Besides water, you can get various treats too. The classic and most delicous Thrifty's ice cream is available in single scoop or hand packed quart size. You can also get a healthy treat of fresh squeezed wheatgrass and the customary orange wedge. The only challenge of this location is the parking. It's located in a very busy plaza. Depending on time of day parking in front of the shop can hit or miss. read more

The store owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. I paid him so that I could rinse the bottle as requested and he still yelled at me for rinsing my hot bottle before putting fresh water into it because I used too much. How much is "too much" water to rinse out a 5 gallon jug? I've grown up into two Third World countries without water... I understand more than most how precious water is. I don't even own a dishwasher. But I will not put my drinking water into a hot plastic bottle as it leaks dioxin and estrogen into the body. I was willing to pay for whatever water I could use to rinse. But he came on top of me and screamed at me for using too much water after I paid for it. This is unreasonable behavior for a store owner to treat a long time patron. read more

We have been a customer of George's Water Mart stores for many years and have enjoyed excellent service and great water! When his McDowell road location closed we followed him to this location.
