I received a good price on a new water heater installation. Sometimes you get what you pay for and it is worth paying a bit more. The new water heater did not vent properly after installation with exhaust gas back drafting into my home rather than out the roof vent. I was promised a call back 3 separate times to have someone scheduled to correct the problem. I never received a call back and was left to resolve the installation issue on my own. My plumber recommended Water Heater Man. Told me that they do better and quicker repairs than he can. I had identified what was probably the problem (failed power exhaust blower) and the team made an immediate effort to track down what turned out to be a hard to find part. They drove 40 miles to pick it up (charge for the run $115) and got my heater back in service the same day. The part was under warranty and they handled that issue. I called at 10. Was working at 2:30. They aren't cheap, but got the job done professionally, and given my hard to find parts, at what a I felt was a fair price. read more

My old water heater was so old and it's leaky. I called around and they all quoted me over $1000plus. I went to Yelp and find Water Heater Man and called them. Robert on the phone quoted me a 40gallons, All American Standard, 6 years warranty, heater for $870 and said that he can have someone come out to my house next morning to do installation. I agreed. Next morning @ 8:45am, rec'd a call from Austin said he's finishing up the job and will be over my house ~10:30am. He got to my house early @ 10am and I walked him around my house and showed him where the leaky old heater is and he started working right away. Austin is really professional and answered all my questions. After he finished the installation he slapped on the label and it said "Made in Mexico". I asked Robert on the phone is the water heater made in USA? He said "I think so", "I'm sure they are". Will it's NOT MADE IN USA, that's why I'm given them a 4 instead of a 5. Robert should been honest with me and told me the water heater is "Made in Mexico". I prefer "Made in USA" products!! read more

Our water heater was leaking, so i called on quotes. Called Biard & Crockett, and got a sales rep that was very rude, plus their pricing was steep. I've used them for years, but the rudeness left me thinking, you don't want my business. Called Water Heater Man, and the sales rep, Robert, was not only very courteous, but extremely helpful, and they give senior discounts. We went with them, and they came out same day. Johnny & Omar were not only courteous, but efficient, and answered all questions we had. Johnny (the installer) has it down to a tea. We had a water pressure problem with the old water heater & when Johnny replaced the tubing, we saw the old tubing had been clogged. We now have excellent water pressure, what a blessing. Johnny tested the new water heater, & Omar cleaned up everthing before they left. Johnny told us because of the clogging in the old tubing, our water heater could have exploded. Excellent. We have a water heater in our drop down basement (only access is by ladder). I called them at noon, and the new heater was installed by 4pm for $1,100. I had another quote for $4,000. Their prices are a little lower than say, the top 3 plumbers on yelp, but their service kind of shows for it. If another company profits $2k per job, these guys only profit $1600, if you will. We've used them for about 9 years and they've been pretty good to us. Their rates are pretty decent and they have a lot of water heaters in stock and ready to go, even commercial water heaters. The gals that pick up the phones have no idea what they're doing and keep running back and forth. For sure they aren't your cleanest, neatest, plumbers, but their prices make up for it if you don't care too much about all that jazz read more

We had a hot water heater leak last night. I called and left my number on the emergency line. I received a call back from Bobby within 15 minutes. Bobby was very helpful and assured me that someone will come out to assess the problem and if a new tank is needed, they would replace it. We have a 100 gallon tank. Bobby also quoted us a reasonable price. We received a call first thing this morning from Johnny telling us he would be coming out. Johnny arrived as promised. He uninstalled the old tank while another coworker arrived shortly with a brand new tank. The work was performed promptly. The techs were both very courteous and professional. We just had our water heater replaced by this company. Unfortunately at first things did not go very well. The person installing our heater was not very good and could not get the hot water to run in the front half of our house. He also hit our built in mail box with his work truck. After informing his office that he had hit our mailbox and could not get the hot water to work, he said the company would be out the first thing in the morning. Why you might be thinking am I giving them a five star rating. The answer is simple and his name is Don Olson. He arrived promptly at 9:30 am with another gentleman. Don reviewed the situation and told us what he was going to do to correct the problems. EVERYTHING DONE WAS DONE EXCEPTIONALLY WELL!!!!! THE PERSON DOING THE MAILBOX REBUILT IT AND IT LOOKS BETTER THAN BEFORE. DON WENT TO WORK AND PAINSTAKINGLY REMOVE THE WATER HEATER AND INSTALLED IT CORRECTLY WITH THE UP MOST PROFESSIONALISM. HE IS TRULY A CRAFTSMAN IN HIS POSITION. Companies and people sometimes make mistakes. This company recognized their problems and quickly remedied the situation. Woke up this morning to a gushing water heater leak so after shutting off the water I searched yelp and found a few options. Placed a few calls, left a few voicemails and waited. The water heater man returned my call within 30 minutes and was able to come out the same day. Mike showed up and did an excellent job. Called water heater man to replace a leaking water heater. They were able to schedule a replacement to be installed the same day. Within 3 hours Johnny and Omar showed up to remove the old water heater and install a new one. They were quick and efficient. Omar was learning the ropes from Johnny but did a great job. Don Olsen came out to work on my water heater. My heater had failed 1 month after a repair. I was quite disappointed. I appreciated that the company was willing to wait 15 minutes while I drove home. Don was very knowledgable, thorough, and honest. He was able to diagnose the issue, but also checked all points where there could be an issue and found several issues for my problems. He fixed all of them efficiently, explained the issue to me so that I could understand. If I have another issue with this water heater, I will plan to get a new one installed by Don. Great service from prompt return calls to service tech Austin and Sisco. Water heater failed to sustain the pilot light due to the faulty main gas safety valve. After discussion of different service options, I went with replacing unit due to it being 7 years old and not knowing if replacing the failed valve would fix the problem. Water Heater Man gave me a fair quote, and they had to send out for extra labor due to narrow space and odd placement of gas pipe in front of water heater. Highly recommend their service! our heater was leaking so I had to shut it off and look for a replacement. I checked with the supplier that originally sold the heater to the previous owner of my house. I asked for a quote over the phone, and did not want to give one. they will send out a guy to give a quote... what? why not? that's not a straight and honest business practice. They should have been able to provide a pricing of the heater and installation (estimate). so I moved on to Home Depot and Sears. I didn't want to deal with the wait time and impersonal big store so i found water heater man here in Yelp. they gave me a price to replace my heater, when the guy showed up (Austin) he brought along an estimate with the same $$ i was given over the phone. the installer was courteous and got the job done quickly. no hidden cost or any annoying hassle to deal with. My water heater went out the night before Good Friday. On Friday morning, I called another place that took their sweet time getting back to me and then didn't follow through with what they said they would do. At 2:00 Friday afternoon, I called Water Heater Man, they told me they'd be out within the hour, and they were. They were even a bit less expensive than the first company I called, but the warranty is also a bit shorter. Johnny (the installer) was both professional and courteous. Called this company years ago (2007 or so), because I thought my water heater was leaking. Turns out the guy they sent showed me how it was only a $15 hose that was leaking. He sold me the hose, installed it and left (no other fee). I've never forgot that. Now that my water heater really is leaking, I called them. 2 hours later I had a professional Johnny at my door. He removed the old one, replaced a faulty valve (at no extra cost) and put in a great new water heater. Just had our water heater replaced. Johnny came out - was on time, courteous and left the area as clean as when he came. We requested a Bradford White, 40-galloon water heater (Made in the US), and it was exactly what we got. We were even charged less than what was quoted because we requested to have a tray put in under the water heater, but since we went out and bought the tray ourselves, Johnny said there was no reason they would charge us for it.
