Tried this place today and won't be back. We both ordered the Reuben sandwich and it was not good. It actually made my stomach turn. The meat was thick and rubbery. The bread was soggy and saturated. I heard a new place opened in Canton, and wanted to check it out. I was bummed to read the bad reviews, but decided to try it anyway. I figured maybe those people were just having a bad day and took it out on the restaurant, or the restaurant just had some things to get through when it first opened. Most people, including the "unrecommended" reviews on the site that don't get included in the rating, gave it great ratings, so it couldn't be that bad, right? Anyway, I think Waterfall has been open for a couple of months now, and I didn't see any issues with the service, food, or drinks when I went. It was all amazing! Better than I expected. They even had a pretty decent crowd when I went during the week. I sat at the bar, which is really nice by the way, and had a signature cocktail. It was tasty, but strong, which most people probably wouldn't mind. I also ordered the Buffalo Chicken pizza, which was really good. For my second cocktail, I decided on a margarita. I love margaritas and this one was one of the best I've had. SO good! Definitely my favorite of the two cocktails even though they both tasted good. They also have a sit down restaurant side which I didn't go to, but as far as the bar side goes, this place is great. It's nice, pretty big, has a parking lot in the back, and the prices are decent. All the people were really nice and the food was great. Most importantly, they have a full bar with a delicious cocktail list. 5 stars!! Definitely go check this place out! read more

We stopped in last night, on a whim, for a drink and some calories and found us a new little secret! The service was great, friendly and responsive. We were greeted promptly with a smile and chose a table on the patio, since it was a nice evening. There was a decent, but not overly packed crowd. No waiting, which was nice. The age groups spread between a few 20 something couples to middle aged family groups to older, retired couples. Sort of a circle of life there. The drinks were well made and tasty. We ordered some bone in wings that were prepared perfectly. The skin was crispy and the meat was juicy. I ordered the Waterfall Burger, which was cooked just right, although was a little bland to my taste. J's pesto chicken sandwich was awesome. The menu was solidly New American. The music choice was a little odd. I think it was a Pandora station that was aimed at the late 80's. It went from Curtis Mayfield to Led Zeplin. The challenge is that the volume between tracks was very erratic amped sometimes got a bit loud for dinner background music. My only other challenge was the patio furniture, which wasn't comfortable in shorts. Definitely a place worth exploring again! read more

Usually avoid onion rings because they're greasy but after I saw them go by I tried them and they were the best I've ever tried. Appears to be a spot the locals go as well. We came from a hockey game and had a great lunch. Kids had buffalo wings and salads. I had the Waterfall Burger which was excellent. My wife had the arugula salad with chicken. Beer was cold and waitress was very nice. I would highly recommend. Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from. Indoor or outdoor seating and a larger dinning room if you don't want to sit in the bar area (which isn't really a typical noisy bar area) Plenty of tv's for sports too. Great local restaurant. We had my dads funeral reception there and could not find a better group of people! From the owner, an irish bloke to Bridig who was super accomodating. Decided to come here with a party of 7 because we wanted patio seating that was pet friendly. DO NOT be fooled by a few good reviews. It must have been locals that enjoy their neighborhood bar. The whole feeling of the place felt a little seedy but we didn't know the area and didn't feel like searching for another place. The menu was pretty good, with different options for everyone. They had Shepards Pie, Butternut Squash Ravioli, Baked Haddock, Quesidillas, Burgers and other things that sounded good. We were looking for good simple comfort food.Irish Nachos were bad and we should have been told by our server that they couldn't get the chips they described on the menu before we ordered them.Shepards pie,Butternut Squash Ravioli and Baked Haddock were horrible.Also way overpriced for the bad quality of the food.Hate to be too harsh on a restaurant because we know it can be a tough business but this one deserves a very low rating! Went here expecting to go to Centerfields but found from the bartender that Waterfall has been there for the last month. There weren't too many people there, just s few at the bar. I was a little nervous what we were getting into going to see the Pats/Dolphins game. Nice Surprise. The bartender was attentive and helpful. She made recommendations on Appetizers to snack on during the game. And yes there are TV's around the bar to watch the game on. We had the loaded nachos with chili. very good and a large portion. Also burger sliders with onion rings, very tasty . I'd like to go back and have their full sized burger. Good drinks, and very good service made the Pats win all the more better. The nice atmosphere, relaxing , makes Waterfall all the more promising for return visits. 4 stars for now. I'm pretty fussy. I'll upgrade my rating if they stay consistent. read more

I'm fairly new to town and have made it my goal to try all the bar and grills in town. The wait staff/bartenders were very friendly. The burger was seasoned well. The other occupants all seem to know each other, so this must be a good place for the locals to meet up. It looked like a great place outside Boston for a nice meal and live music so we made reservations for a Sat night. We arrived promptly and were seated immediately...in front of the speakers of the live music. Attention, use some comman sense when seating people .The service was great,prices were fair too. But the food for the most part was"BAD". As others had said on this site theQuesadilla was cold and bland. The Shepards Pie was like eating a spice rack.I took it home and threw it away But my friends steak tips were good. Please have the hostess figure out how to seat people and the cooks need to learn that spices are to season food and not as an entree. This restaurant is definitely a work in progress. Update: I always call the restaurant so they can learn from there mistakes. After talking to the manager I don't think I'll be returning to this place. She told me she doesn't read customers online opinions and the restaurants food was very good. Even if you believe you have a great place,you always listen to your customers and never debate them on there opinion I guess management thinks "The customer is Only right if they agree with them" I'll be wrong and take my buisness elsewhere. read more

This is my third visit to Waterfall and I enjoyed my meals on the previous two occasions immensely. However, they changed the menu and while I appreciate the management has to change things that aren't working, this will probably be my last visit. First, at 12:30 I was handed a "dinner menu" and when I asked for the lunch menu, I was told, this is it. So the entrees became quite expensive. My son ordered steak tips $17 bucks for lunch, not right. I ordered a medium rare burger and came well done. I should probably rate this higher because the service is so good. I've now had three different people wait on me and I couldn't have asked for better service. Still, the quality of the food and the price is what the dining experience is all about. Ordered 2 flatbread and a salad takeout. The person on thru phone hung up before giving me a time as I was asking them. Showed up about 15 minutes later to find the place quiet. The bartender said it would be a few more minutes. After paying 5 minutes later she told me just a few more minutes again. 10 minutes after that, I asked her what was going on and the finally went into the kitchen (for the first time) and came out and told me that they had a party show up and my order was just being started and it would be at least another ten minutes! And it seemed like it was my fault they had a party show up after I called in a takeout order. After asking for my money back, it took another 7 minutes and three different people for them to refund me $38.50. Definitely wont waste anymore of our time with this place. read more

The waitress(es) were not on their game at all - slow, not particularly friendly, and the food was really poor. I had a baked haddock dish with about an ounce of fish - so thin, it was embarassing; there was almost no fish in the ramekin. My date got a salmon dish which was equally unimpressive. I drive by this place all the time. Finally, my boyfriend came up with his own idea of going there and I said hell yes. The owner was very funny, food was very good, the service was perfect. I even got to play free songs on the jukebox! The bathrooms were very clean although they were kind of dark. I don't like bright lights when I'm peeing anyway. Lots of fun and I will definitely come back. It seems as though it will be better in the summer when you can sit on the patio. I'm a dirty filthy smoker so I like the fact that you can smoke and drink at the same time as long as you are on the patio. If you don't like the smoke, go back inside. After an extremely long day at work I wanted to try a new place and since I was in Canton I thought why not try waterfall after reading the nice yelp reviews. Not the best parking situation since the parking lot was located in what looked like an apartment complex but no biggie. Went at sat myself at the bar. Menu looked interesting and the place looked nice so it was promising at first. Bartender was friendly but seemed a tad frazzled but I couldn't blame her. From what I saw the tap beer that she was pouring from didnt seem to work well and just kept foaming, the manager was jumping in and grabbing drinks which seemed to disturb her flow, and there were extra steps to everything she did. She was much busier than she should've been for the amount of people that were at the bar and in the restaurant. So for the food. I ordered Irish sushi...corn beef with mashed potatoes wrapped in steamed cabbage..seemed interesting but for the price I got two tiny rolls with mostly mashed potatoes and nothing else. It lacked any kind of flavor and was bland bland bland not to mention cold cold cold. The 3 pieces of greens that lay in the middle was sad and wilted. I also ordered the bolognese served on rigatoni. As soon as it came out I tasted it and it was stone cold. Also tasted mostly like red wine. The sauce was certainly not reduced enough but was OK. When the manager asked how I liked it I told her the truth. It was OK but cold. She asked if I ate the appetizer first and perhaps that's how it got cold. I informed her that I tried it when it came out and it was already cold. The chiffonade basil leaves were also sad, wilted, brown. She kindly offered to have to kitchen warm it up but I declined. At that point I was already upset that the tiny portion of my $16 bolognese was a disappointment the two tiny pieces of toasts that the bartender brought out were hard as a rock....I almost laughed but ate it anyways. I just swallowed it down and still felt hungry so I decided to order sweet potato fries. These were good. Nice and hot not shriveled up. It was interesting that they sprinkled sugar on top of already sweet fries. Couldn't say I loved that but it was ok with ketchup. I asked for my check and I believed the bartender heard me while she was trying to work out a problem with punching in bottle bud light instead of draft for a different customer with the manager...so I waited....and waited....and waited...I would think since I don't drink alcohol and my soda was done...my food was done...maybe she would give it to me even if she did not hear the request? Nope. So I asked again. Left her a very nice tip since it was dead and I could tell that she was working hard despite my experience. So...no follow up with the manager before I left which I thought is pretty careless. Since I am a single person sitting at the bar..not drinking alcohol and still spent $36 on dinner. Maybe she should've cared a little and made sure the rest of my experience went well? Nope. So...all in all. Great potential. Not great results. Hope to come back one day to better food since honestly that's what I care about the most. Sorry I couldn't give you guys a better review. read more

The potato skins are really good here, but that's the extent of it. I come here every few months because I have appointments nearby and it's convenient, but that's the only reason I come back. I get one order of skins, a drink and get out. Tried several other things, all of which were incredibly bad. The only thing worse is the service. I have the same bartender each time and she is slow, miserable and acts like she's being inconvenienced. Don't waste your time unless it's convenient or aren't looking for anything special. read more
