Decent place for drinks and bite to eat. The inside is modern and nice. The dining area and bar area are not huge but adequate. The bar area is a bit on the small side so if busy hard to get a spot in bar area. The food I have had is pretty good, wouldn't say outstanding but not poor either. Super hit or miss sometimes it's amazing and sometimes it's yucky. The Mac and cheese and the blackened chicken Alfredo are amazing but those are relatively easy to make. Keep getting disappointed by this place. We live so close that we keep trying it every couple months, and then we remember why we don't go more often. Got a gift card for Christmas so tried it again. Chowder was a joke. Obviously Snow's jarred clam chowder with HUGE chunks of leftover baked potatoes thrown in. Nachos were served with the cheese not melted, no salsa or sour cream. Kids all wanted hamburgers...THEY WERE OUT OF HAMBURGERS!!! Run to lil' General and grab some Hamburg meat! Fries were spicy fries (not specified on menu, and not wanted! ) Just wanted regular restaurant fries. Son ordered fish and chips. Came out with fish uncooked and cole slaw was sour (spoiled). They did take fish off the bill but never offered a replacement meal. So after spending $100 on a meal, we went home and he had Apple Jacks for dinner! I had steak tips florentine...please!!! Don't advertise as steak tips if it's a cheap piece of steak cut into chunks thrown into a meal with a bunch of sauce to hide flavor. Went to the water fire cafe for the Cajun Dinner last year and I loved it, I had an amazing time with my family. The food was great and the staff were really kind, I received great service, I didn't have to wait to get my order set but the jambalaya was incredibly delicious, it has great spicy flavor and cooked really well read more

So, we had looked online for some local restaurants in our area, then came across the Waterfall Cafe!! Well, I ordered the Fishermens Platter which had WAY too much batter on the fish!!! Decent food, enjoyable atmosphere, but....... the meal ended on a sour note. Paid the bill with a credit card and when reviewing the slip, I noticed an unknown charge added - questioned the waitress and she could not explain. She looked befuddled! I insisted on an explanation and she went off....... she returned informing me that it was an added charge for using a credit card to pay. OK. OK. I get that the managerial policy is to pass on the cc vendor fee (or part of it) to the customers - but it need to be CLEARLY posted!!!! I did not see that extra-charge policy on the menu, or on a sign indicating this policy when entering the establishment, but even if I missed some type of notification, at the very least, the waitstaff should be able to explain the extra charge that appears on the bill! And better yet, when a customer hands a cc to pay the bill, the waitstaff should be able to bring the extra charge to their attention and give them the chance to pay in cash. No pun intended, but, this experience left me with a "bitter taste in my mouth" - Sorry, won't be in any hurry for a return visit to this place for any future dining experience. read more

Not a large menu, but that allows them to concentrate on doing a few things right than a lot of things wrong. While limited it is varied enough that you will find something that appeals to you. They also have daily specials, tasty desserts and a nice bar. read more

My husband and I went on a Friday night, on the recommendation, from a friend. The cafe was busy, and the very pleasant hostess told us it would be about 45 minutes for a table. There were seats at the bar, so we opted to eat there. The bartender wiped down our spot, and we ordered. The clam chowder was good, but the AC was blowing right on my husband's neck. When another couple got up, we moved. This seemed to upset the bartender. She did not wipe down the new spot or give us any sort of cutlery or napkins( we did not have them in old spot) When the food arrived, we had to ask other server for a fork...and that's what we got. My baked cod was blah...(bartender had recommended) no real flavor . My husband got steak medium rare. Steak was medium at best and flavorless. We ate about a third of our meal, had no further interaction with staff, paid bill and left. We will not be back. read more

Just went there tonight for the first time. OMG the food was incredible. We started with an app, the spinach and artichoke dip. I had then had the salmon with butternut squash and my husband had the tuna. This dinner was just as good, if not better, than any restaurant on Federal Hill in Providence. Was at an event in Harrisville an saw this place so stopped in. Glad we did! Comfortable never being there. Friendly staff and nice decor. Great martini menu. They do have martini bar in name so can't be too disappointed no beer on tap. Did have small selection of bottled beer. Got the black n blue angus burger. Excellent! Juicy with crisp bacon. Perfect buttery, toasted bun. Opted to upgrade my side to sweet potato fries for $1 more. Small portion but very tasty. Reasonable prices. We stopped in for a burger a couple of weeks ago and were very impressed. Excellent Angus burger cooked the way you ask for it. Good price. The place is lovely, nice ambiance, pale yellow walls with nice artistic touches. We went last night for supper. My meatloaf was the best I've ever had! My husband adored his shrimp pasta. We overheard the woman at the next table telling the waitress that the lasagna was amazing. She said she would not order it anywhere else now, because nothing else is good enough. I'm not the type of person to write a bad review because as a business owner I understand how poorly it looks having people speak negatively about your business.... however it's time to say something. My wife and I have dined in and also have gotten take out roughly 10 times over the past 6 months. To say the least it's been TERRIBLE! The first few times it was bad I figured maybe they're doing something different or just having an off day but this trend continued and I will NEVER eat dinner or breakfast here again. Whether it be undercooked, overcooked, thrown together or have absolutely no flavor whatsoever and my favorite.... waiting over an hour for breakfast which consisted of eggs and home fries. I could keep going with the complaints.... it's unacceptable and nothing has been done about it. I hope this helps you make your decision whether or not to eat here. the waterfall cafe is great. the food is very tasty and the service is good. there is breakfast Saturdays and Sundays. i am a big fan of pizza, so i tried their pizza and it was great. it had a very thin crust and was very fresh. their breakfast ranges from omelets to eggs Benedict. you can make your own omelet or you can order one of theirs. They also have a fresh bakery with great desert items. Last time i had a snickers pie and it was SO GOOD. Groups of people can rent out a private room. this is a great place for the family. read more

Great food - need new waitstaff! I was sitting at the bar with my wife and I was thinking "boy is it taking a long time for them to bring us a menu" and 2 minutes later they finally did. Right after that a couple on the other side of the bar told the bartender/waitress they are ready to order (after their drinks were 3/4 gone-hint, hint). She continued on making a drink then the real bartender rolled in after partying a wee bit too much the night before and started setting up the bar. I know this because that's what she told some other customers. The other couple never got their order in and up and left. I don't blame them I would have as well. That got the bartender moving! Went there for breakfast on my birthday, I ordered an omlet with feta cheese, spinach, black olives and roasted red peppers and a single pancake. My boyfriend ordered the waterfall breakfast which is just eggs, toast, homefries and sausage. My boyfriends first bite into his sausage he got a bone, he tried another bite from a different sausage and he got a second bone. Needless to say he was done with the sausage after that. I went to try my omlet and when I cut into it a ton of water spilled out, while I appreciate that they used fresh spinach it just made the omlet so watery that my plate was filled with liquid, enough that it made my toast soggy. I was willing to look over all of this because I still had my pancake to eat and it was very tasty, but when I got the bill I was a bit confused. I had looked at the menu and it said that two pancakes was $3.50, I figured since I only got one it would be maybe around $2 but nope it was $3.25. For the life of me I do not understand that math, for an extra quarter I could get another pancake? And since thats the case why wouldn't the waitress say, "Well for an extra quarter you can get two pancakes?" I just don't like feeling like I am getting scammed. I will NEVER be back to Waterfall Cafe. Between the crazy pricing and the multiple bones in the sausage it is definitely NOT WORTH another trip. read more

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT eat here!!! Possibly one of the worst breakfasts I have ever had, coupled with a horrendous wait and mediocre wait staff. We came on Father's Day, the place was busy, but not packed. We waited over an hour and a half total before receiving our meals. The waitress was polite and apologized, but never offered us any refills or anything to hold us over while we waited. She did, however, manage to explain to us that the reason we were waiting so long was because one of the cooks walked out... But not to worry! They "threw one of the waitresses back there" to finish cooking our breakfasts. No thanks. I know it is breakfast food, but if I'm going to pay money for eggs and toast I'd like someone who knows what they're doing to make it. We almost left, but ultimately stuck around just to see how long it would take and what the outcome would be... Like some kind of sick self torture. When the food did arrive, it was below mediocre. My husband's toast had about a stick worth of cold butter smudged on it, my eggs were cold and over cooked, and my sister in law had to send back her undercooked French toast. Ya, bye! Wish we had a better place in Burrillville to eat, the options are certainly numbered! read more

I had high hopes for this restaurant, the menu seemed very promising and the prices reasonable but I have been severely dissappinted. Twice I have ordered food to be picked up from the waterfall cafe and twice the food has been sub par and they have gotten my orders completely wrong. The first time I ordered the pasta primavera and when I got home and opened the box it was plain spagetti with spagetti sauce, no vegetables, nothing. And it was cold! I paid 13 dollars for cold spagetti?? The second time was tonight when I ordered their gourmet grilled cheese and the lox capreses salad. I arrived exactly 20 minutes after I called (as instructed)and still the grilled cheese was cold and the prociutto was so tough I couldnt even take a bite. My salad was not anywhere close to what I ordered instead of smoked salmon I got a chunk of undercooked grilled salmon and instead of a honey lime vinegrette and basil, I had a splatter of pesto over some wilted mixed greens. Very disappointed, the staff obviously cant get the orders right and the food is completely overpriced for the thrown together crap that they serve and call "gourmet".
