My fiancé and I dined at the bar this evening and had Tay Tay as our bartender. She was super friendly, accommodating, and efficient. First we started off with two glasses of there HAND CRAFTED SANGRIA, probably one of the best we've ever had!!!! Second, we started with the APPETIZER SPECIAL, BLU CHEESE FONDU CHIPS!!!!! Yes! Wow! They were topped with red onions bacon & a balsamic glaze... The chips are hand cut and crispy btw. Then we both had a salad with our meal... I had the ceasar and he had the Greek!!! I'm very picky about my ceasar dressing so believe me when I tell you this was by far top of my list, and the Greek salad was vibrant with olives, onions, banana peppers , cucumbers , tomato, and loaded with fresh feta. The Greek dressing is as Authentic as I've ever tasted, and I'm Greek!!!! Lastly, I had the ribeye & green beans and my fiancé had the baked haddock!!! Both meals were fresh, savory, cooked to perfection, mouth watering.... the place was packed so we were fortunate to grab two seats at the bar and I'm sooooo glad we did!!!! I'm going to spread the word in hopes I can still get a table to eat here in the future!!!!! A MUST SEE, MUST EAT!!! And it's on the water!!!! Incredibly average meal for the price. From start to finish, rolls were cooked like muffins and had zero taste. Appetizer onion rings just served dry, not even ketchup brought out wit them. I arrived early to take advanage of the pricing and ordered the prime rib. I've had better. The au jus should have been filtered. The knife I was given to cut the meat was so dull I could not remove the fat with it. I learned once again, you get what you pay for. read more

So, we went to dinner the other night and ordered a couple drinks and our dinner. After more than 1 hour, our food still was not brought to us. It's now after 8:00pm, so we told our waitress, who was also the bartender, to cancel our order. How ridiculous to wait more than an hour for some shrimp and a burger. Never again will we go here. I have been to Waterfrontoo many many times over the last 10 years and I usually have the prime rib, which is always juicy and delicious. Last night I decided to try something different and got the large fried shrimp dinner. Big mistake!! The bake potato was delicious but two of the shrimp were literally black from being over fried and the others were dry and dark brown. The waitress actually asked me if I wanted to take the burnt shrimp home and I said they were burnt and no I did not want them. We had planned on going back this Wednesday for my birthday but we will now be going elsewhere. read more

First time there, waiter told us the owner was Greek so we assumed everything Greek would be great. Well the Saganaki was very oily and not worth it. I went with the lamb chop and I will say I am not a picky eater but it was almost inedible, it had a very strong grill taste and after my second little chop I noticed the rest were extremely RAW (ordered medium). Sent it back and they heated up the remaining pieces that I had cut up to check if they were fully cooked, and they sent those back to me. Note this is a $29 meal that includes 8 tiny little riblets and some less then diserable steak fries. My grandmother confirmed that her steak had a very strong grill taste too which is a shame but was cooked any better than my food. Overall not worth the price and found the menu very lack luster. read more

Last minute choice for my friends and I and we are so glad to have come down to this place. Service was excellent and quick as well as the food. I had the prime rib which is slow cooked for 6hours and gave it such a tender texture and full of flavor. The kitchen is super clean which makes me feel safe to eat and the designs inside are subtle and classy. I highly recommend this place and I hope everyone gives it a try! read more

This was the worst ever restaurant I hVe brought guests to. Service was terrible. Meals were dry and over cooked . Salads no one ate. Took forever for entree to come. My husband and I love this place. You can get to the restaurant by boat or by car. It's fun to stop by on the boat. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. We love to sit outside on the deck over the little canal. We usually bring one of our dogs with us and the staff always brings out a water dish and lots of love for the pup. You can order a fish sandwich with your choice of fish and its always delicious. My favorite appetizer is the Greek plate! Now, that being said.... this is an old building and its kind of falling apart, but get over it and just enjoy the food and the view :) read more

I was really impressed with Waterfontoo and I am very picky. My prime rib was to die for - like butter. We went around 5 PM for the earlybird prices. The weather was cool so it was so nice to sit on the outside deck overlooking the water. Not a trendy place by any stretch but consistently good food. Their prime rib is some of the best I've ever had. Opt for the Greek salad for 2.00 more. I happen to like their rolls. My Boyfriend always gets the raw tuna and he loves it (and he's pretty critical when it comes to food prep and portions). The green beans are served southern style so if you like them lightly cooked, skip those. Server was attentive but not overly friendly. I think she had a long day. Two stars for appearance, cloth napkins, lots of parking. 4 adults for dinner on St. patrick Day, first time here. Wait time acceptable, about 15 minutes. Pleasant looking restaurant with some outside seating which appeared to not be used tonight. Water view of a canal was pleasant. Cozy bar. Someone dropped a basket of exactly four small warm muffins of some sort on our table along with a small container of butter pats. When the waiter came to take our order, he asked what sides we wanted, none of which were listed on the menu. After he left, I heard another server at the table behind us tell the guests there was a special holiday menu, apparently our waiter was clueless as he had not given us holiday menus, nor did he tell us about any specials, my son had to ask if the traditional St. pat meal of corned beef was being served. Since it was, he ordered it, The other orders were sirloin steak, grouper and lamb chops. The side salads came out first, the lettuce was cold, crisp and there were bits of onion and cucumber mixed in. The corned beef was one slab with mushy looking cabbage, carrots and boiled potato, a plate which was seriously overpriced at $21.95, and the presentation was just sloppy looking. The sirloin had a very off flavor on the outside of the meat, like old burned meat. The inside was tasty and tender, cooked correctly to medium with a little pink showing. (No frills on this plate either, just a piece of meat and the potato.)The lamb chops had a similar off flavor but worse, were very bloody and had to be sent back. Since the meat had been cut off the bones on all the chops to see if any was edible, it came back from the kitchen the same way only now it was cooked through and through when the initial request had been for medium. A better chef would have sent out a freshly cooked plate. The accompanying side of steak fries were not as good as they should have been, and cold by the time the reheated chops were presented. The grouper was watery, which usually is indicative of frozen fish. I took some of my sirloin home and in a better light could see that the sear marks also included burned meat which could be scraped off the sirloin, so my conclusion was the off taste to our meat came from a dirty grill which should have been scraped clean before putting raw meat on it. Since we live in the area, we were hoping to add this restaurant to our regular rotation for dining out, but I'm afraid four less than wonderful meals means we won't be back. One more thing: they need to tone down the bathroom air freshener which was wafting all the way into the restaurant--that is a godawful unmistakable smell! read more

The food is very good, we have enjoyed perfectly prepared prime rib, lamb gyros, and one of the best burgers for miles around to name a few. We also love the rib eye steaks and blackened mahi -mahi fish dinner.We truly enjoy the people and the staff. We have always received excellent service and quality food. It is also a great place to watch sporting events and the head bartender, Irvina is wonderful. She makes the best cocktails and will prepare whatever you want. The owner is accommodating and makes sure you leave happy. If you like early bird specials,(you can't beat the prices) they have them and they are delicious. I could see that every day without getting sick of it. We ordered from the sunset menu. It was much more affordable than the normal menu. We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of our friends who asked us along. We were ordering from the sunset menu. I ordered the grilled shrimp salad ($11.95). At the top of this menu, it listed what side items you could have with ordering from this menu. I wanted a baked potato to go with my salad but when I started to ask the waitress; she abruptly cut me off and said I already had a salad and could not get one. I didn't get a chance to explain that I wanted the choice of a potato. She just took the next person's order and left. I feel that the price was over- board for a plain lettuce romaine and 7 shrimp salad. And to top it off, the shrimp did not look griled and did not taste that good at all.
