The food is not good, if nothing else gets read that's all you need to know. Nah I was over cooked and extremely tough and dry, broccoli had too much sauce and the fries and potato were both flavorless. Only redeeming factor was the service, we had Alex as our server and she was amazing 10/10. The girl at the host stand was also very kind and helped an older gentleman with the door and outside. Went in about a week ago and sat at a table in the bar area. The bar and tables were both full with a very welcoming atmosphere. The owner Eric came over to greet us with a friendly smile, and I asked him about the Ahi Tuna on his menu. He suggested to get it blackened instead of how it's usually prepared with Sesame Seeds. First time here, not the last. This is an old school steak and seafood house that does it all right. We started with their wonderful complimentary rolls and butter, followed by an excellent escargot appetizer. The entree included a salad and we got the blue cheese dressing that is obviously homemade. Also included with the entree was a choice of side and we got the baked potato, which was cooked perfectly - lots of baked potatoes aren't. We shared a char-grilled ribeye with fried shrimp add-on that was plenty to eat for two and there were leftovers. The prices can't be beat either. My mom couldn't have croutons so asked for onion soup with out them. It's a passover holiday. The person who brought the soup gave it to her saying here's your soup with extra croutons and thought it was very funny. When we told the owner we were affended and didn't think it was funny, an he should be working at McDonald's, he came back to our table and said he was the owner and I should go eat at McDonald's. A hidden gem! Living in this area there are hardly any nice restaurants. Waterfrontoo offers a variety of dishes from seafood, to steak, to Greek with a beautiful view of a canal leading to the intercostal. I personally come here on a weekly basis for the early bird special. This special runs 4-5:30 every night and has very reasonable prices for multiple dishes. My personal favorite being the prime rib and I would recommend this to anyone nearby! It has a cute wooden interior with quite a nice atmosphere as well. It is a little chilly inside so definitely bring a sweater. Outdoor seating is available with fans overhead, however, smokers are also allowed outside. I've never encountered a problem with either the food or the staff here. I always bring my friends visiting from out of town here and they absolutely love it! Came here with my parents....got a nice table in the bar area where we could watch the game. From the beginning, the owner was stopping by, making odd and off-color jokes. Made all of us uncomfortable. The waitress, Alex was doing her best, but forgot our salads and would never clean or remove our dirty dishes/glasses. We received no compensation for the forgotten salads. Then the owner came by and made a very offensive comment to me. My husband's steak was overdone.....the food, overall, was mediocre. Prime Rib dinner, Prime Rib sandwich, grouper. The restaurant is clean and the decor is nice....but we won't return. The owner needs to learn that he's not funny. Focus on the service, not attempting to awkwardly entertain your guests. read more

Nice location with good food! I recently came here with my grandfather and mom while visiting him in Florida and he comes here almost every week with his friends. The owner came up to us and greeted us and we often saw him waiting on tables as well. Our server took awhile to come over and wasn't super friendly but got the job done- that's why one star I deducted. The food was fresh and hot! This is a good deal on seafood in the area. We had a delicious dinner again at Waterfront too. This restaurant is family owned by people who care about good food and service. The service is excellent. The food is delicious. We had the petite Filet and shrimp, the mixed grill and Micky' s meatloaf. Everything was delicious, flavorful and prepared to order. The sides of green beans, salads, choice of potatoes were very good. Our drinks were on point. The owners abd their staff are pleasant and welcoming. Dined here for my birthday dinner and had a wonderful time! There was a great waterfront view and even from the inside dining room you are able to enjoy the view. Had a party of 7 and the service was amazing. I had the chicken Alfredo which was one of the best that I have had. Everyone at the table enjoyed the appetizers and their meals. We got to choose from 3 entree choices - Prime Rib, Salmon (the way you liked it) and a veggie pasta and your choice of starch, amazing beer muffins and crisp salads. Too many places act like anchovies are from another planet . We had the sesame rare seared tuna which is a good portion at a nice price - sides of sweet tater and she had some slightly over cooked under seasoned broccoli and green beans . This was an AWFUL first impression. Brianna was very nice and attentive but that's the only thing good that came of the visit. The restaurant was not busy. Our food took longer than 25 minutes after our salads were gone for a Medium Rare steak that came out more medium brown than anything. Since it took so long to even get the food Brianna waited to see if it was cooked correctly. She agreed that it wasn't and quickly took it back to be fixed. ERIC then came to the table to argue with me that cooking it any less would make it more on the rare side. I said well, medium rare shouldn't come out medium brown. As he stood there arguing and trying to leave me an overcooked piece of meat, I finally said forget it. I spent more than 20 years in the restaurant industry, I know what a properly cooked steak looks like & this was not it. Not to mention a supervisor arguing with a customer. Unfortunately, I didn't get dinner & we will not return. Disappointing bc we're so close we really wanted this to be a great place. My family decided to come here on vacation when we couldn't get into another restaurant up the street that had a horrid wait time. My parents had been to this place before so they said it was good. And that's just what it was, good. Not spectacular...good. I had a Caesar salad with chicken. It was ok. The kid's had Pasta Alfredo off their kids meal and surprisingly that was the best meal on the table. It was a HUGE portion and fed them the next 2 nights too. Now my kids are 3 and 5...so if you have small kids you might only need one kid's meal. The atmosphere is dated, but clean. That's all the matters, cleanliness. I guess this is a hot spot of an early dinner because they run dinner specials at like 4pm. We were in around 7 so it was pretty much dead and we were seated right away. read more

This is one of our favorite places for casual dining in the Nokomis/Osprey area. The menu is extensive and no matter the size of a group, everyone can find something they like to eat.
