This was such a last-minute stop! We were in the area exploring and came across this spot, and I'm so glad we did. It was a little bit of a walk to get there, but there were so many cute photo opportunities along the way We were a group of 5 -- 3 adults and 2 kids -- and had no reservation. We arrived around 5-5:30 PM and were seated immediately, although we were told we had a 90-minute time limit. We ordered the Dominican picadera, which was good for sharing, along with a bundle of High Noons. One of my daughters had the chicken tenders and fries, and my other daughter ordered the mac & cheese, which unfortunately she didn't really care for. We also got the beef/steak tacos, which were mini-sized. The guys seemed to really enjoy those. I had the chicken sliders, which were pretty good -- I just took the pickles off. Our waitress was great! She was constantly checking on us and bringing water, and even while she was on break, someone else came over to make sure we were okay. I also really appreciated that she made recommendations based on what we were looking for. We didn't see chicken tenders on the menu and were about to order wings for my daughter, which we knew she probably wouldn't eat. Since I don't let my girls drink soda, she recommended Shirley Temples, and that was PERFECT! The vibe here was really nice. They had games like Dominoes, Uno, Checkers and more, which kept the kids entertained. The weather was beautiful, the music was good, and we even got our pictures taken, which was such a cool touch! My only real complaints were the bathroom location and the food options. You have to walk almost all the way back toward the entrance to use the bathroom, which is a little annoying when you're drinking and suddenly have to pee every five minutes. Also, I wish they had a few more food options. It is definitely on the pricier side, but I think this is a really cool spot for a date night, girls' night, or just hanging out with friends. We were there with our friend and our two daughters, ages 9 and 13, and everyone had a good time. I almost gave it , but the bathroom situation and limited food choices knocked it down a little. I have been to Watermark many times before when they first opened and for different events over the years and I always loved the concept views and aesthetic. The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL and honestly has so much potential especially during the summer but lately it feels like the growth and exposure have completely outpaced the organization. This last experience was honestly CHAOS!!!! There were multiple lines for different ticket types VIP skip the line royalty/open bar general admission but nobody was properly directing people or communicating what was actually going on. People were slipping through side areas and bypassing lines while others stood there waiting over an hour. I personally waited about 1 hour and 10 minutes just to get inside with little to no explanation from staff besides constantly asking what ticket do you have. Like you asked us so many times! The biggest issue is that the ticket expectations were not communicated clearly at all apparently general admission became based on capacity and first come first served but that was never properly explained when getting the ticket. A lot of people on line were confused and frustrated because naturally you assume if you have a ticket you should be able to enter in a reasonable amount of time. That needs to be stated VERY clearly beforehand and repeated while people are waiting. Then once we finally got inside it wasn't even overcrowded which made the entire wait make even less sense. The food lines were another 40+ minutes so at that point the entire experience becomes standing in lines instead of actually enjoying the venue the open bar was a waste of moneyyy situation was also frustrating because by the time many guests got inside after waiting forever the open bar window was basically over and they would not honor it and the margaritas tasted watered down and I'm sorry... paying $30+ for a drink just for it to be handed to you in a plastic cup is actually insane to me. A lot of the staff themselves seemed overwhelmed and were openly telling guests things like it's my first day or it's never usually like this I always try to give places grace because I understand high volume environments and operational challenges but customers should NOT feel the internal chaos THIS heavily many ppl on each line had complaints about disorganization long waits slow service and the venue not really matching the experience being marketed online. In my opinion the place has become focused on hype and aesthetics than the actual guests experience! The views are amazing the location is amazing the design is beautiful but management seriously needs better communication crowd control staffing coordination and accountability because right now it feels like everyone is blaming each other instead of actually fixing the problems in real time SMH! Best Beef Rib I've Ever Had In Life. I went to the watermark in the winter for the Winter Wonderland themed event (extremely late with the review). Loved every second of it. From the festive decor to the delicious winter themed drinks to the oh so delicious food! There is nothing about this event that I would change aside from the weather being so cold. But The Watermark had that covered as well with the heaters inside of the igloos keeping the patrons warm. I also had a waiter can't remember his name but he was a ball. He was also a Brazilian so it makes sense lol. The star of the show THE BEEF RIB OMG! Literally melted in my mouth like butter. That's something that I can think about and still melt 6 months later. I also ordered a wine which came with a wine glass screw on that went on the top of the bottle to drink it straight from the bottle and I was able to take it home for future use +! I had such a great time at Watermark! Their summer setup is absolutely adorable and really makes you feel like you escaped to a beach getaway right in the middle of Manhattan. The two-hour open bar was definitely worth it, and the margaritas were so good! I also ordered the mini lobster tacos... and OMG, they were to die for! We took advantage of their open bar for two hours package and by the time we got there, they had no oysters left. I hate to sound nitpicky but how do you throw an oyster fest and run out of them. Went last Thursday despite the nasty weather and still enjoyed with my friend. The staff was decent. The music was good as always and the decore was very pretty for the cherry blossom event. I'm always there in the summer so it's a nice change to experience their different installations. Walking through from the entrance there is a lot of IG worthy picture installations. They have a 2 hour unlimited drinks package for $50 which includes beer, wine, and margaritas. The margaritas were not good. I did not taste the beer or wine. They specialize in slushy type drinks, but also have full service bar. My Modelllo beer ran 15$ wtf. they also have a small food menu. Every year we reach the same time of the year. Halloween was upon us but we were already shopping for the Christmas holidays and season. It has become a habit we do not give up or forget. It is the tradition of what we expect after the year we have just had. It is the time of thinking, and planning, and even taking out the items we need and what to do. And for some of us, it is a time to go shopping when we go out to eat. And drink. The Winter Wonderland at Watermark is near the South Street Seaport in lower Manhattan. It is on Pier 15 which is at 78 South Street. You step inside and onto the dock. It is a space that has been there for decades and always filled with different things to do and enjoy. At this time of the year it now becomes your winter dream. You enter the area with a special ticket that is required if you want to experience it for you, your family and friends. There are things to do. Places to see. Food to enjoy. It is like a mini-version of the Holiday Markets you see when you visit parts of Europe this time of the year. The German markets are famous. A night of Gluhwein warm wines, brats and pretzels and pastry. You also see shops and listen to music and imagination as you walk past each stall and carry the wine with you. For the beer we selected a Downeast Winter Blend. It had a taste of cider that was blended in and gave an interesting taste and flavor. It was a light beer at only 6.5%. It was ideal for a walk. We also knew we needed something warm, but this would wait for later like a dessert. This was having the NY Polar Express. An interesting combination of SKYY Vodka infused with Oreo and that chocolate touch. It also had a slate of Kamora Dulce de Lexhe and a Kamora Coffee Liqueur. Naturally it had to have hot coffee mixed in. Together it was an interesting flare for taste. Something very different. It is not just a cup of coffee as you expect in New York. As for the warm wine, this was not as easy. Instead, I ordered a Terrazas de Los Andres Reserva Malbec. It was full bodied, fruity and subtle from Argentina. It had a rich flavor. It is not a true Gluhwein. Naturally, as you are spending time out on the pier and having something to drink as the sun sets, it is time to consider what to eat. First place to go is to get some Vegetarian Chili. This is a mixture of vegetables including tomatoes, avocados, corn, zucchini and eggplant. You need to add some dry chili pepper to give it some extra flavor and spice. It is served warm and is ideal when having the beer. It did come with some chips for dipping and to crunch.Next up was some Dasher's Truffle Fries. Good, fried, shoestring potatoes that are topped with some parmesan cheese and a touch of truffle Romano. It was good with a bit of dip to put the fries. Of course, we needed to have something to go with the wine itself. This was the Soul Warmer Mac and Cheese. It is placed in a waffle cone for a different touch. This was a good choice. Coming from New York, you need to have cheesecake for dessert. But to have a Creme Brulee Cheesecake does make a difference. Especially when you have your own cheesecake recipe passed down in the family. Coming to the Winter Wonderland at Watermark is an experience unto itself. You come for the food and the beverages. The glass houses here are different and something to do. There are things to see and do. Including stopping to see the place where there is holiday candy. You walk through connecting glass houses and paths that are all lit up with lights and bring a look to the sky above. For an evening of seeing the sites and having food, the Winter Wonderland at Watermark brings you the spirits of the holiday right there. For a more traditional holiday market you find in Europe where there is food, holiday shopping, and some Gluhwein warm wines, then head up to Bryant Park right behind the New York Public Library. We came here for the Santa's Winter Wonderland pop up sponsored by Fever. The venue is on the Pier past the city cruises terminal. The venue was beautifully decorated, and I thought the event was well done. Our private igloo had two space heaters and it did kept the space warm. It was not that drafty at all. The service at the pop up was very good, we never felt like they forgot about us, and servers were regularly in and out checking on us. I thought the food here was actually good. I saw some reviews stating the food was gross but we had appetizers, drinks and entrees and I had zero complaints about any of it. The onion rings were my favorite. The event had a photographer going around taking photos of each party staying in the fake igloos. There were some other activities at the event, including a few photo ops, and a visit with Santa if you wish. They also had a food counter if you didn't have a table reservation. The venue itself seemed to be ADA complaint, though the bathroom situation was far from ideal. The only bathrooms available requires you to leave the venue and walk halfway down the pier to the nearest bathroom. The bathrooms are like portable restrooms, and I don't think they are accessible. Walking from your table to the bathroom in the freezing cold was not a great experience. Nonetheless, we all enjoyed this event and would come back to the Watermark for another event or dinner. read more

My friend and I visited the Pink Pier at Watermark for Valentines Day weekend and boy was it packed to the brim with decor. The decor was very instagramable and PINK. Quite literally everything was pink from the decor, to the drinks, to the mashed potatoes. It was definitely a fun Barbie girl experience and I indulged fully. My friend had the short rib entree which came with a yuca mash which was hard. The short rib was flavorful but lukewarm. I had the chicken entree which was flavorful but also lukewarm. The French onion soup bread bowl was so over-reduced or had been sitting in the bread bowl for so long the soup part disappeared and we were left with caramelized onions and cheese. Regardless, if the food was hotter, it would've been enjoyable. We sat in the semi private chalet which was heat insulated(THANK GOODNESS) and had a bar set up feel. It was cutely decorated and set with pink/purple mood lighting. The reason I am giving it 4 stars is because although it was a holiday I do feel the price was still a bit much. The price included a complimentary tea, appetizer, 2 entrees and a few macarons. If I'm remembering correctly the price was close to $300 with tax and tip for a party of 2. I would recommend going if you have the extra funds for it however, I would suggest going during an off season to save some coin. read more

This review is for those that work or are downtown near South Street Seaport during the summer/fall time. This is a definite for after work happy hours, or just getting the night started. You have to stand on line to order beer, but workers come around to the tables to take orders, bus tables, or bring extra napkins for instance. As the night goes on, things turn up, more people show up and it's a lowkey function. The Hummus dip is made with some narcotic, has to be, I want a bucket of it. Next time I will have everything from The Grill because the Carne Asada Tacos were great. Watermark was a mixed bag for me. I went to the last Saturday of their Oktoberfest. We waited 45 minutes for the free admission. They let in only one or two teams every 5-10mins explaining that they were at capacity. However, at the same time you had the option of paying $30+ per person for a fast pass to skip the line and 2 drinks (1 beer was priced at $12 including tip + tax) and they were readily letting in people that way even though they claimed to be "at capacity." I also saw a couple skip the whole line to talk to the bouncer and receive entry stamps. I admit I may not have all the information to call this out, and, in their defense, they may have been getting new stamps after their original ones got washed away (they were stamping the back of people's hands), but a lot more clarity about waiting times would have been much appreciated. Also, it would have been almost impossible to secure a place in the line as a 1-person team since, as others have commented, the bathroom is outside of the establishment and would have required stepping out of the line. Once inside, the food and drink purchase/pick up system was also quite confusing and we had to ask staff who kindly and patiently answered our questions despite the loud music and people. For food and drinks, we got 2 beers and a $24+ pretzel that came with 3 sauces. Admittedly, the pretzel was described as Large, and it did not disappoint; this thing was Massive, easily the biggest pretzel I have ever seen. I did feel as if the sauces were not enough for the size of the pretzel. The pretzel was also very salty, so much so that we felt the need to scrape the salt off. The $10+ pretzel dog looked good as well though we didn't get it. The beers were kept really cold which was nice. The views were nice and there was enough Oktoberfest themed decor for the atmosphere. However, the female staff that was MCing and conducting the challenges/contests on stage was using language that was not appropriate, which was a concern because there were children present. Personally, it would be a much more pleasant experience if waiting times were made clear so that people have the option to weigh whether they want to purchase a fast pass before waiting in line. read more

Came here on a Saturday with friends for their cutesy summertime-themed waterfront vibes. I will say, this is a fun place! I made a reservation to ensure we'd have seating. There is a 2 hour "table limit" but I simply asked that if there was still table availability by the time our time was up, if we could just stay longer. In the end we ended up just making another reservation just to play it safe, but had no issues. There's definitely a summer party vibe here; the music was pretty good and there was actually a range of ages here, from babies to a table full of what looked like 70-year-olds taking shots (no shade there lol). The drinks are tasty, but pricey; between the 3 of us, we racked up a tab of about $400. I think for the price of the drinks they could be stronger. When it was time to go, we hit up another bar for something with a stronger kick. The adult capri-sun drinks are cute though, they just water down super fast if you don't drink them fast enough. Also, the lobster roll here is just average and I recommend you pass on it. For $34 (fries are an EXTRA $7, WHY is this becoming the norm grrrr). It did the job, but it's also pre-made and not as meaty as you'd expect because they're heavy-handed with the mayo, so it's more of a "creamy lobster spread" than brimming with lobster chunks. Take my word for it. The sliders (both beef and chicken) were pretty good though! Watch out for the automatic gratuity (because I missed it and tipped on top of that). Overall the vibes are so cute here and there's little photo-op setups. There's also additional bar seating aside from the reserved table seating, and there's public seating down by the water, which I regret not taking a drink over there to experience it. Drinks: We opted for the 90 mins bottomless Prosecco, mimosa, Bellinis, and draft beers. The Prosecco and mimosa was really good but the Bellini was disgusting. It tasted spicy, which is odd for Bellinis and it was flavorless so we sent it back and went back to the Prosecco. They give u one bottle at a time vs per person, so you are forced to get something everyone in your party likes. Food: we got the Mexican street corn: it was good just an overkill of lime so it was tart, the crispy chicken sliders: they were really good, especially with the aioli sauce, buffalo chicken wings: these were cooked perfectly, lobster roll: it was decent but definitely overpriced and could be better, especially the bread. $34 for a small roll plus $8 extra for fries. A friend and I visited the Pink Pier (located at Pier 15 by Seaport in NYC) on weekday evening. We appreciated the complimentary tickets as we enjoyed the below two cocktails and NYC's majestic skyline: 1. Burning Passion: Graham cracker infused Rittenhouse rye & Woodinville bourbon, Mozart dark chocolate Ilqueur, toasted marshmallow, Xocolatl Mole 2. Petals & Smoke: Casamigos reposado, Pinaq Rose, housemade citrus cordial, guava, rose, cardamon, coriander, lemon, orange bitters This is a really fun spot to have drinks and enjoy the pink theme atmosphere. I personally enjoyed spinning the wheel, taking super cute pictures, jamming to the good music selection, chatting away with the bartenders and enjoyed the yummy drinks with a stunning view of NYC. Great hang out spot on the water - there are a lot of places for photo ops. They have a huge bar, rooftop area, tables and seating on a deck that faces the water. The menu has a lot of different drink packages to choose from, the food menu also has a lot of options to choose from. The mini chicken sandwiches and the tuna wonton tacos are my favorite. My last visit here - we ordered a margarita pitcher which was horrible tasted like watered down lemonade - however the waitress was amazing - she replaced it with another pitcher that was strong and delish.
