We have eaten at the Waters Edge several times. We have tried just about everything they make. We enjoyed it all. As expected the view is breath taking. This is definately a place to take your love one for a special dinner. However we eat there regularly. read more

Having mixed feelings since working here for barely two days. Used to come as a customer and seemed to have a great time. Pizza is not that great, usually tough and hard to bite. Chicken Alfredo makes my stomach hurt. They are not following guidelines for COVID19. The restaurant is usually packed around 8pm and stays that way until late. They do not enforce social distancing. Most waitress or staff only wear the mask up to their mouth and do not cover their nose or have see through masks. There is no capacity limit and if so they are not following it. Manager is extremely rude to her staff. Would not recommend working here. Better food can be found elsewhere and for a shorter distance. Sorry, a lot of people are finding out how this place is really ran as a business. And not to mention the horrible parking lot. read more

Came on a Sunday and they had karaoke! Had a lot of fun. Food and beer literally hit the spot. Will definitely be back.

I went on with very high expectations. Sadly, it did not deliver. Pretty much everything was wrong. To start, all the beer was in cans, no bottles. Ok, we can live with that. We ordered Bruschetta and Pork Rinds as appetizers. The Pork Rinds were cold and stale. When I mentioned it to the server, she took one, eat it and said they are fine. Ok, I guess. The Bruschetta tasted ok and the presentation was great, but it was cold. So, on to the entrees, the burgers were overcooked and very dry. The server said there wasn't sny soda or honey mustard dressing. The ceaser salad was bland and the croutons were not very good. Overall, very disappointing in the overall experience. My husband and I were in town for the polar express ride with our son and happened to drive by and seen the signs for this restaurant. I looked up pics of the food and was very excited to stop in and try it! The location is great for a summer day after being on the water. We were greeted by a very unpleasant hostess, she seemed like she didn't wanna be there. If you aren't a member be sure to have a phone number and license ready, we were unaware of this. We were seating next to the window which was a pretty view. We all ordered the chicken Alfredo. Let's just say, we should've ordered a burger. We sat down and within 5 mins got our food. It was cold, seemed like it was cooked yesterday and had a weird metal taste. The waitress was very sweet and came with beer orders quickly! She made the experience better. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, the cooks bbq place didn't look as nice but the food was cooked to order and well worth the extra 15 min drive! read more

Husband and kids surprised me with brunch for my birthday. Beautiful outdoor dining, super bloody mary bar for the price, shrimp and grits that were my lunch and dinner, wonderful server (Chase). If you are looking for a fancy elegant meal, this is not the place but has good, quality food of a nice variety. Definitely something greatly needed in the Salisbury area (only one restaurant downtown does brunch and they are terrible IMO). Can't wait to go back!! read more

First time eating here and was disappointed. Ordered fish tacos and salmon. You would think you would get a side with each of these meals but no the salmon cane with cooked spinach. Who in the crap eats that anyway and with that price should have at least cane with a bed of rice. One of the most terrible experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. I don't know how the owners have other successful restaurants. So let me explain.... yesterday was Mother's Day, the most busy day for restaurants of the year, so I know we need to have patience. We are also in the middle of a worker shortage, due to poor legislation, making it more lucrative for service employees to stay home instead of going to work. So again, I know I need my patience. This is where my lovely mother wants to go for her special day. We tried to make a reservation earlier in the week and was told that they were not taking reservations for the Mother's Day Brunch. They opened at 11 and we get there at 11:45. The guy in front of me has a reservation. ???? Huh. When asked, I was told they stopped taking reservations when the numbers were getting out of control. Sounds counter intuitive, but I am not a restaurant manager, so I chalk it up to my ignorance on the subject, and am told that it will be 30 minute wait. We head to the bar for bloody marys and mimosas. 45 minutes later we get the call to be seated, which I don't think is too bad on mothers day. An extra 15 minutes to talk to mom is always a blessing. So they take us to a table and immediately tell us that they have a shortage of cooks in the kitchen, and won't be able to take our order for at least 20 minutes. We had a great server, she was so lovely under such a bad situation. So we said that is weird, but ok and placed a drink order. 20 minutes later, I asked if we could place our food order and she said not yet, and explained that they are still behind, I explained that we need some food as my mother hasn't eaten, and it is well after noon. She brought us some complementary chips and cheese, to tide us over. She came to take our order at 1:30; an hour after we were told 20 minutes. I was going to have something off the brunch menu, but since we were well past lunchtime, and I had seen the terrific looking burgers, I decided to have one of those. They had run out of burgers.... they are known for their burgers. How do you run out of hamburgers? So I decided to have the brunch item I was going to have originally, and we all ordered. 15-20 minutes later we get our food. Mine was wrong, it was supposed to have hash browns and came with fries. I knew if I opened my mouth that it would embarrass my family and ruin mothers day, so I didn't say anything. Come to find out only one of the 4 of us got exactly what we ordered. Mine should have had hash browns, not fries, my wife should have had mashed potatoes, she got fries too (and cold vegetables). My moms was supposed to have sautéed peppers and onions and tomatoes, no veggies at all, just hash browns and an egg. I don't know if that was the waitress or the "over run" kitchen, but that was it for me. We arrived and 11:45 left at 2:45 and no one was happy. I left the waitress well over 18% of a tip that I hope she doesn't have to share, especially with the kitchen. The management and owners should be completely embarrassed. So here is my take... 1. If you know you are short handed, only open enough seating that you can handle it. 2. Either take reservations or don't... changing a plan halfway through is asking for a SNAFU. 3. Reduce your menu for special holidays to items that you can put out quickly and correctly. The brunch menu was great, why you had all the other items on a short staffed kitchen was a pretty poor decision. 4. Tell your patrons the true length of the wait. Had we been told up front that it would be two hours before we could have "linner" (brunch and lunch were out the window by the time we ate), we would have said thank you and gone somewhere else and I wouldn't be sitting here telling everyone how sorry this place is operated. I really appreciate our server doing such a nice job, considering she obviously works for people that I believe couldn't manage to get dress without help in the mornings. The food that we had was good, but not what was ordered or depicted on the menu. If anyone wants to try this place I suggest you doing it in a hurry. There are several places in Salisbury to eat and people won't continue to go to a place that is operated like this. This place runs like an ice cream machine at McDonald's. read more

Very disappointed with our trip. First of all none of the servers and most of the staff were not wearing masks. We ordered two appetizers - the Buffalo chicken dip was quite good. The pontoon poppers were recommended so we tried them as well. These were not prepared fresh and had been over cooked. Entrees were also very lackluster. Chicken Alfredo had good flavor but was served cold. The 6 oz filet was okay, the shrimp skewer add on was quite good. The cheeseburger my son ordered could have been gotten at any fast food joint... we may give this place another shot once COVID 19 settles down but we definitely won't be back until then. read more

This is a very refreshing addition to the restaurant choices in the area. Not to mention it has a wonderful view of High Rock Lake from anywhere in the restaurant, including the large deck. The food is amazing! I have had several dishes. The Cuban sandwich is fantastic, the fries are so addictive, the salads are huge and tasty...and you cannot beat the pizza. I can't say enough about the variety of food, and the bar offerings are great, too. Beer is always ice cold. The staff is very attentive. I can't say enough good things about Waters Edge.
