She checked in with me often and recommended drinks and dishes to try. Food: I ordered the butternut squash soup as my appetizer and the lamb chops for my entree. Both dishes were great and so tasty! The soup was the star for me. A combination of yogurt and spices...who comes up with these pairings? It was amazing and I wanted more. The lamb chops were good too. Seasoned well and a nice portion. There's outdoor seating available. It was a bit chilly the evening I visited, but I would I again that on a sunny day, sitting on the patio would be enjoyable. Really good breakfast! Spent Fourth of July at the hotel and walked down to try breakfast with my family. The buffet is the best option for tasting all the great options the Watertable has to offer. Kids enjoyed the cereals, bagels, omelets, and yogurt. Hubby had the corn waffle- he said it was a lot of food, wouldn't order that one again for breakfast. I've been to the water table numerous times. It is located in the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach, sit outdoors at night and enjoy having dinner around the fire pit. Bring friends., Their drinks are great as is their food. Their ambience and the glistening off the ocean is the best. Service is always on point. My boyfriend and I are staying at the Hyatt Regency Huntington and decided to come here for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised by the unique options that Watertable offered. There were several items that we wanted to try, but we both opted for the Pete's Cup cappuccino and we split the Apple French Toast with sides of breakfast potatoes and turkey sausage. The Apple French Toast was truly fantastic and unlike anything I've tried before. The cinnamon toast crunch topping is a gamechanger. It added the perfect amount of flavor and texture to the dish. I'd also like to point out the great service we received here. Our server was attentive and kind -- she accommodated our request to get cups of ice so we could make our Pete's Cup iced. A surprisingly good hotel restaurant. I met a friend for dinner here. I was staying at the Hyatt. We ate early, and the bar and restaurant were pretty empty. We were seated at a great table by the fireplace with a nice view of the water fountain and beach. We started with cocktails and the bone marrow appetizer to share. Then we each had a fish dish and shared a bottle of Hill Family Chardonnay. We finished with port and a cheesecake to share. Everything we had was excellent. The cocktails were very tasty and way too easy to drink. The bone marrow was a generous serving with lots of umami soy mushroom sauce, and nice pieces of toasted bread to spread with fatty marrow. They brought over a bucket of ice and a stand to keep our wine cold, which was a nice touch. I had the striped bass, and it had a nice crust. I wish there were more veggies than just the endive, but the fish and the salmon roe were absolutely delicious. My friend had the sea bass, and he really enjoyed it. The cheesecake was delectable. We finished every bite despite the huge meal that proceeded it. Prices were appropriate for this level of restaurant in a beach hotel. It's no bargain, but the setting was lovely, the service was friendly and attentive, and our seats were comfortable. The food was well-presented with very good portions. Best. Breakfast. Ever. We wanted to make sure we started the day right by getting breakfast before heading out to Disneyland. We got the Churros Waffle and the SoCa Benedict to share and it was absolute heaven. The Churros Waffle tasted just like the Churros at Disneyland! Crunchy with Sugary Cinnamon on the outside and Soft and warm on the inside. Wow. I couldn't get enough. The SoCa on the other hand was savory with the Crispy Fried Chicken flavored to perfection. Coastal-cool steakhouse located in the Hyatt Regency. Had a team dinner here on a Friday evening with a reservation at 7:30pm. We had a private room but there was plenty of space available both indoors and outdoors. We started with the creamer potato cakes, scallops, and shishito peppers for the table, and the potato cakes were the hit. Note that the shishito peppers do come with crispy prosciutto on top. The scallops come four to a dish and I enjoyed them a lot. The main draw for entrees are the steaks, but they have plenty of non-steak options and also have a vegetarian option. I had the Chilean sea bass, which came with mashed potatoes and veggies on the side. The fish was a bit bland and wasn't my favorite. You do have the option to add a soup or a salad prior to the entree. The burrata and peach salad was light and fresh. I got the Six Degrees of Chocolate which is the signature dessert, but was a bit lackluster. Overall, I liked the appetizers the best and it was a good venue for a business meal. read more

Looked into places by the beach to celebrate my birthday last weekend and Watertable did not disappoint! Firstly, hats off to their service for striking the balance between formal and friendly. I get a kick out of seeing them take orders from us ladies first and bringing their plates before the men. They gave our table of 5 bags of bread, it didn't look appetizing to me so I opted out. My friends told me it was nothing special, which was my guess anyway. I ordered the main pan seared duck breast after haggling with the waiter to have it cooked medium well. They were very kind to accommodate my request, otherwise I would have ordered the sea bass, which I tried off my friend's plate and didn't like as much. Plates were beautifully presented; all the flavors and textures were superb. I thought the duck would come as a whole breast but it in a few pieces. I'd say the portions were just right even though we didn't have any appetizers. I thought the brussel sprouts were pretty bomb, they were charred the way I like and the almond pieces elevated the texture that much more, mmm! Atmosphere is pretty loud, hard to hear conversations but it didn't bother me too much. The finale was a complimentary coffee ice cream, it was a generous portion but tasted generic and I didn't really care for it. Anyway, it was a nice effort. Over the weekend we had breakfast here twice and dinner once. We went at 10am both mornings and only waited about 10 minutes each time before we were seated. I recommend the SoCa Benedict and churro waffle (I got it with the raspberry mascarpone that comes with the French toast instead of the orange cream that the waffle comes with)! The short rib hash and lemon blueberry pancakes were good but not as good as the Benedict and waffle. For dinner I loved the corn polenta entree! It had a rich umami soy flavor. My husband ordered the steak medium rare, but it came out medium-well to almost well-done. My husband hates sending back food but a $55 steak should be cooked correctly. He mentioned to the server that it was unfortunately overcooked for what he ordered, and the server asked "but did you try it?" and said that it could be the lighting that made it look overcooked (we were sitting outside in daylight so probably not ). He did end up bringing out a second steak that was still not medium rare but at least better than the first. read more

I had the burger. The only burger on their menu and it was a top 3 burger of all time. I would go back just for that burger even though it was $27. It was worth it. I had a little bit of something from everyone's plate. The tomahawk that was 2 lbs of goodness. The best part of this was the bacon sauces. That was a unique touch. The desserts were good and unique. Had dinner here on a Monday night. I checked in at the Hyatt and walked in to see if they could seat my party of 4. It's was around 6pm, and they were able to accommodate us. Watertable's decor is pleasant, elegant, and inviting. The outside dining area includes a nice view of the fountain and ocean. We decided to stay inside because it was slightly chilly that night. Our server immediately introduced himself. Shortly after, we were served with freshly baked bread and butter. I enjoyed the following items: - Salmon belly: best dish of the night! The salmon melts in your mouth. When combined with the sauce and radish, it is phenomenal! - Lentil soup: The lentils were blended and it had a nice kick, but I prefer a Mediterranean-style lentil soup. - Potato cakes: crispy, small, whole potatoes served with a truffle dip. Yummy! - Sea Bass: I chose this for my entree and I thought it was okay. I liked the crispy outer layer, but it needed sauce to add more flavor. - Panna cotta: I did not like this. I have to say everything that we have eaten has been fantastic! The service was over-the-top and Donna took great care of us. This is the first time my wife has ever asked for the chefs name which is Adrian, who made our food taste and look spectacular. The ambience here is masculine, yet many feminine touches.
