I made the mistake of buying a vehicle (Cadillac Escalade) from these guys sight unseen (from out of state) and had them ship it to me. Even though I should have known better, I actually felt comfortable at the time buying it sight unseen from them, mostly due to their online reviews and feedback ratings on eBay. Boy was that a mistake! They actually had the audacity to list the vehicle as "no known accidents". This vehicle is not only literally a pile of junk that has been used and abused, it has OBVIOUSLY been in a major front end accident that there is NO WAY that they could not tell. The paint doesn't match, the hood doesn't close properly and doesn't even fit right. It's actually crooked! The entire body also leans to one side. It's actually 1/2 inch higher on one side than the other. The tire pressure (when I received it) in the passenger side tires (the 1/2 inch lower side) was 60 psi and the drivers side tires were at 20 psi. My guess is that they were trying to make it look like it was level? My mechanic called it a "poor man's alignment". The passenger side mirror is broken, and there are several new front end parts that do not have the same wear as others. No known accidents? Even a novice car buyer and/or seller could tell in 30 seconds that this vehicle has been in a (major) accident and /or had severe front end damage recently. They also stated it was in "good" condition mechanically and cosmetically. To quote them, "no known mechanical issues and no cosmetic issues other than a few minor scratches". Are you kidding me? Every warning light on the vehicle was on when it got here. The tire pressure sensors didn't work, the check engine light was on because it wouldn't even idle or run properly. I had to replace the entire throttle body just to get it to idle and/or run properly. The air shocks were bad, the A/C didn't work, the interior heater blower motor was bad, neither the heated or cooled seats worked, the 2nd row power seats didn't work, 2 belt tensioner pulleys were bad, the cruise control didn't work, and the chrome on the wheels is peeling so badly that 3 of them won't even hold tire pressure. It also has several oil leaks. And cosmetically? There are multiple scratches on EVERY single body panel. There are 2 holes/cracks in the dash. The drivers side exterior mirror is burnt. The A pillar fabric is coming off on both sides. The weather stripping around every door is either torn, ripped, worn out or completely missing. The chrome on the interior door handles (all 4 of them) is peeling off so badly that you couldn't even open a door without cutting your hand unless you were extremely careful. The carpet has several spots on it that are worn down to the backing. One of the door lock knobs was missing. One of the 3rd row seats had a broken seat belt. 2 of the interior lights on the headliner are broken. The center console latch was missing (broken). The tailgate pull handle was broken, and there are at least 3 separate loud dash rattles and/or noises that sound like you are driving in a $500 car out of the junk yard. And if all of that wasn't bad enough, they claimed it was "fully detailed". The headliner and sun visors look like they were used to clean the drivers hands off before they drove it. The hatchback/tailgate had so much dirt in it, it wouldn't even close properly without forcing it closed. There are scratches and spots of paint on the seats and door panels like kids were using this vehicle as a playpen. A 10 year old could have "detailed" a car better. I made a mistake trusting these guys, and I thought I would share my experience about them, so that maybe someone else won't end up in a situation like me. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! My wife bought me a 2004 F350 from them November. Nothing but problems since. $$$$ repairs that I completed. FICM ($699), IPR($240), OIL COOLER ($300), FUEL INJECTOR HARNESS($248), BRAKE CALIPER(bench rebuild), HPOP($450), SWAY BAR LINKS($120), BALL JOINTS($300). I completed all repairs myself. I can't imagine what it would have cost someone without repair background. I asked them to repair them. Answer? It would coat too much. No modifications, no lift. All of these things should have been noted at the very least (CALIPER and FICM should not have left lot). Total parts cost? Over $2500. I've been in the automotive industry for over 30 years, and I should have known. I feel terrible for my wife as she got me my dream truck only to have it cause is financial hardship. i dealt with these gentlemen on a 2008 ford f-350, truck was a complete beast, even better looking in person than in the pics they had sent to me it had a mean lqqkin stance, new tires all around and was just as big if not bigger than my gmc!!! professionally installed lift kit, drove like a dream, and got looks all the time, not only that but i sent them pics of my 08 gmc sierra and got a great trade in deal!!! these guys were on the "up and up" even delivered it to me for a great great deal!!! for real i am shocked that it was that easy to deal with these guys! i talked to hunter, and if i get another chance i would buy from them again and again... buyer beware, truck may actually be nicer in person than in the pics!!! thanks again hunter, andy read more

I purchased a 2014 Roush Raptor from Watts in May 2018. The experience could not have been better or easier. It is a nerve-racking process to make such a large dollar purchase, sight-unseen, and so far from home. Needless to say, the write up, description, and information provide by Hunter was spot-on accurate. There were no surprises, Watts Auto was organized, and there were no crazy add-on fees beyond the temp reg. and processing fee, that you typically get from a dealership. It was all straight forward, and talked about up front. The BUY-IT-NOW was fair and reasonable, that was in line with a "negotiated" price, so I feel like the price was very reasonable. When it came time for shipping, Hunter actually stopped the truck from being released to the "low bid" trucking agency trucker that showed up, because they had a previous bad experience with that company - I appreciated the effort to look out for me interest, 2,300 miles away. Hunter then posted the need for a auto-transporter in my behalf, and shipped it for the same price, with a first class shipper. This is a what a car buying experience should be. I bought my first truck from Watts in Dec 2005 and have bought a new truck every 8 months since. the staff is always friendly and fun, not uptight high pressure like most dealers. The sales staff Blaine, and Hunter are always so patient when purchasing cause I tend to test drive a dozen or so trucks ( look at their web site and you will see why). What sets the dealership apart form the rest is the process. Its easy. Pick out a truck, come to price (they always are fair in pricing) and do the paper work. None of the pressure to buy a warranty, paint guard, gap, extended warranty etc the other dealers pressure you into. there is no " sales tower" or" let me check with my manager" and the famous " if you buy today only bs". And no seven hours later... its one on one from the minute you walk in the door to the sales men printing your paper work to him putting the temp in the back window.. And the best is when the owner's of watts come out and joke's around and inquire as to what your up too and if there is anything they can do. Heck they even occasionally role up the sleeve's and wash trucks. how many owners do you know who do that? probably none.. All in all It has been great having them apart of the automotive industry its what customer service should be.. Keep up the good work guys . read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! DECEITFUL TACTICS!!!! Three days after buying a 2012 GMC crew cab Denali Duramax (not a cheap vehicle) from Steve and the crew at Watts I got it home to Boise, Idaho where we had a rain storm and that's when the issues arose. It became apparent after the wax and buffing compound was washed off (good detailers can hide a lot of flaws) my truck had been repainted several different times due to some sort of accident(s) (possibly prior to Watts receiving it but not mentioned in the car fax report) as the clear coat had started to coming off (not properly sanded) or missing all together (bad body shop but good detailing to hide it). I immediately sent Steve a picture and text to express my concern. Mind you it's only been three days after buying it. He told me he would take it up with the owners and we would figure something out. I went and had two estimates done as proof of the problem and sent them to Steve so he had some idea of what the issue was. After almost a month of getting no answers from Steve (not from a lack of trying on my part) I received the answer I was in no way expecting. Sorry your out of luck!!!!! Poor customer service from a typical used car salesman if you ask me!!!! The same day I had to put two new batteries and an air filter in my truck!!! Guess when they serviced it at Watts (which Steve told me had been done) checking the filter was too difficult (cause it was filthy) and testing the batteries is too time consuming cause one was shot. I get it, the batteries can go out at any point. All I wanted was to have the truck I paid good money for, be in the condition that I paid good money for, nothing more nothing less. Stand behind the products you sell guys!! In today's world we have a ton of choices on where we can buy things and unfortunately I CAN NOT recommend this place. read more

My wife and I had 7 vehicles at the time and after using ksl.com and Ebay we were only do sell two of them. The payments, insurance, upkeep, gas, etc was killing us. It was when I was trying to sell my 2006 GMC Duramax I came across their Ebay listing of some vehicles. I am originally from Utah and when we would be in Utah Valley, we would often hit Cabelas, then the Harley Davidson shop, and then run by Watts to see all of the sweet, lifted vehicles that I never could afford at the time. Well, I kinda forgot about them until I ran across the listing. As I did, I noticed award after award after award won on Ebay as well as a map of the country with tacks driven to every place they sold their vehicles. So, as any dreamer would do, I hit their website off of Ebay. I am a GM motors guy although I own all of the big 3 including Jeep. So, I hit their GMC's first. There were a couple that kinda grabbed my attention, especially the $62K Denali that I could only dream about! Then I hit the Chevy section and the first picture of the first truck just blew me away!!! What a beautiful truck. It was really my dream truck. Since my wife and I were needing to sell 5 more vehicles. As the days went by and the reserves were getting close to our main two that we had to get out from under, I kept going back to their web page, which by the way, if you haven't, you need to. It is like going to their lot after Cabelas! We sold our first vehicle on Ebay which allowed our options to open up a bit. So, once that was confirmed, I decided to call Watts and I talked with Hunter. He is one great guy that I was impressed with right from the beginning. I inquired about the truck and it was still for sale. I asked if they only took one trade (that is typical for most lots) or if they would consider two trades. He asked what I had and I told him. He then began asking about their condition. I gave him the best description on the phone and he said that he would, indeed, consider two trades for the truck. It had not yet sold. He asked for me to email him some pics which I did but for some reason, he could not pull them up. No matter what I did, it would not pull up on his computer. So, sight unseen, he gave me his trade in prices for both of my vehicles and went off of my word and description of the trades. He gave us more than I was expecting for one of them and about what I was expecting for the other. Since Christmas had just ended, we were strapped for cash and he said that he could hold the 2009 Chevy Duramax for $1000 down. I told him that Christmas just ended and it was tough to give him $1K at that time. Hunter totally understood and told us that he would hold that truck for $500. I gave him my debit card and it was being held for us. Due to certain events in our lives, we couldn't make it directly down there. Hunter held that truck for well over 3 weeks until we finally made it down with our two trades. They took them even being as filthy as they were because it is extremely hard to clean a vehicle in 20 below weather. Everything freezes to all metal, glass, plastic, etc. To end this long review and story, they took our two vehicles for trade. My truck needed new tires due to bearings going out and it wore them so bad on the inside that I didn't even know until the sun was hitting one and it was turned all the way out. So, a fair adjustment was made to our trade in and after an hour of moving all of the "stuff" from my truck to my new truck, he had the paperwork all ready to go, we signed, and we were off with our new 2009 Chev. The ONLY area of concern for me was I wished that they had thrown on a set of black powder-coated nerf bars because this truck is lifted and very difficult to get into. Everything else was perfect! From what Hunter told me, they sell between 60-90 vehicles a month! He said back in the mid 90's, they were selling 120-150 a month! You don't have that type of track record if you weren't fair with your trade-ins, offered fair prices for theirs that they are selling, and didn't have good customer service. They were awesome in every aspect of the deal. As a matter of fact, it was the BEST truck buying experience that I have ever had. No going back to the manager, blah, blah, blah. We made the deal over the phone and I had my bank finance it so it was a great ride back to Wyoming with my dream truck that will be with me for the rest of my life because once I find the right vehicle, it has a very good home. Nerf bars are on their way and a gooseneck hitch for my horse trailer. I told my wife that my GMC wouldn't last over a week on their lot and would probably sell within 3 days. Looks like it took 5 days to sell! Thank you Watts! Thank you Hunter! My older brother is looking and will be heading down to American Fork soon and my dad is also looking and my recommendation to all of my friends and family members is to buy from Watts! Do not purchase any vehicle from this company. I had an inspection report completed by their certified mechanic prior to driving 900 miles to pick up my truck. The truck was a complete disaster, nothing close to the description nor the certified inspection completed. I had to work with my credit card company for a refund of the deposit. Please do yourself a favor and not think about buying from Watts. By the way, I'm not sure nor have the time to research but they have some type of listing scam on ebay with their vehicles. I bought my F-350 from Watts in June 2014 with the understanding that they stand behind their trucks 100%. After driving my truck for a week, it started having a very loud whine while driving. I took it to my dealer and they told me the problem was there was no radiator cap on the truck and the whine was the cooling fan constantly running because 80% of the coolant was gone due to the missing cap. I spoke with Steve from Watts the day I got the $500 repair bill( the truck also had several other issues that needed to be fixed). Steve gave me the run around every time I called that he was still waiting to hear back from the owner about reimbursement for the repairs. Finally today, 1/15/2015, seven months later, Steve told me that they weren't going to stand behind their vehicle and that I was out of luck. Be wary if you plan on dealing with these guys. They'll tell you whatever you need to hear to get you to buy the vehicle and then give you the run around if there is an issue until it's too late for you to do anything about it. Do not trust these guys! I found a truck on ebay and worked with them directly to work out a deal. I learned from a recent purchase on another vehicle to fly in and check out the truck before you buy. Glad I did. They had someone pick me up at the airport and everything was going as planned. The truck was getting a bed liner sprayed in it so it wasn't there when I arrived. Before I signed the contract I asked to look over the vehicle. The vehicle was not at all as they had described. I specifically asked if there was anything that would make me get to Salt lake and not want this vehicle. I was told it is in great shape and it is a keeper. I found many scratches on the truck but most of all a fron tire that was almost bald on the inside and out but 1/2 tread in the middle. After telling them it wasn't safe to drive home 500 miles and there are other alignment issues with it the guys told me he would install 1 tire on the front. I explained this can cause issues with the diff and 4 wheel drive and they need to at least replace both front tires and the truck really needs to be aligned. After checking the price on tires he told me they would only cover one tire and that is all they can do. I told him I couldn't do it and he offered to have someone take me to the airport. I agreed. A few minutes later they sent a different guy out to tell me I had to take a cab and they would not take me to the airport. After he raised his voice and cursed at me, told me I know nothing about trucks and the tire is fine I walked off the lot with a $90 cab ride and a flight back home.
