Everyone go eat here! A few reasons why- It's delicious, you can tell the owner really cares about making wonderful food and his customers happy, and it's hard for businesses to survive in this area- it needs your support! I've lived in the area for several years and have seen businesses come and go. There is no reason this one needs to go anywhere. Their falafel is awesome! This place gives Big Guys Chicken and Rice a run for their money! Everything we ate was delicious and made to order. Chicken Gyro over rice beats Big Guys any day of the week. Halal Guys is nowhere near close to this place in quality. Customer service is great. We had the chicken over rice, Gyro pita, cheeseburger, Chicken on a stick, and the Gyro hot dog. The burgers are really good backyard style cheeseburgers. Nothing too fancy, but solid. Some of the best Gyro I've had in a long while. They have a good variety of items at every price point, unlike most other establishments like this. You can get food as cheap as $2.49. Everything is reasonably priced. I've been meaning to try this place, and was not disappointed. The owner was very nice, and gave us a quick rundown of the menu. I had the Tri Borough Combination Platter, and it was fantastic. There were generous portions of beef/lamb, chicken, falafel, and rice (I think it's biriyani). It was well seasoned, and seemed freshly made since we arrived a bit later than typical dinner times. It's very convenient that they're open late, and I prefer this over most of the other fast food options. read more

This place is great! The best Halal I've had in Dallas. The price is reasonable and the service is fast. Make sure to try the fries. I was intrigued but hesitate but did not end up disappointed. After living in NYC for almost a decade, my first trip to Wava Halal Grill left me thinking that this is the most authentic New York-style lamb over rice joint in Dallas (rated against both Halal Guys and Big Guys Chicken & Rice). Points in its favor over the "Guys" are (1) the lamb cubes are seared more on the griddle until they get a nice crunch & char; and (2) they grill onions and bell peppers with the lamb (which pretty much every single cart in NYC does, but for some reason the Guys do not...). I also love that they sell hot dogs too. I haven't ordered them (just like I never bothered in NYC), but it's a nice touch since every lamb over rice cart in New York also has hot dogs too. The red sauce could be a little stronger, but the white sauce is good and not too thick or mayonnaise-y (looking at you, Halal Guys...). read more

Well let me Begin by saying that I May be a little picky when it comes to Mediterranean food ... however this was not my favorite place.I ordered a veggie plate with falafels rice and it came with a little salad, I also had a mango juice.it wasn't the worst that I've had but it just was not memorable at all. This place, wow. We walked in ordered. Sat down. Asked to used the bathroom because it looks like an old ice cream shop. No bathroom in sight. He was the only one there, we really had to go to the bathroom but he was in the back cooking. After waiting I finally went to the back and asked if we could use the bathrooom. He said no. When served the food there was a pubic hair in the food. I showed it to him and he actually tried to deny it while there was a Grubhub employee there lol. So I took a pen and removed this pubic hair and placed it aside. He finally said ok. I said I wanted a refund. I asked for a receipt to show proof of the refund. He started mouthing off but finally handed it over. Upon handing me the receipt while my friend was eating because her food didn't have pubic hair in it, he told us to GO. Wow. This place is off the charts. There's nowhere to use the bathroom, there's pubic hair in the food. There's weird onions in the hummus. Getting cussed out in a foreign middle eastern language was also interesting. Very odd place next to a few other dying businesses. Think twice. read more

This place is small and simple, but it is now one of my favorite places! I ordered a lamb and beef gyro and a lamb and beef over rice. I shared it with my husband and it was a lot of food, we are big eaters. I suggest getting a side of pita bread if you order the meat over rice. They came to our office for an event today. I tried the Tri-Borough Bowl which consists or falafel, lamb/beef and chicken over rice and salad. I have tried rice bowls and various places in the metroplex and I have to say this may be the best one I have ever had. The meat is so tender but it's so much better with the white and red sauce. I think what also made it really good was the quality of the rice. A lot of places don't pay attention but this place adds some zest to it. If I am ever in the greenville area I will def check them out but I am hoping they will come back to our office for another event. read more

My husband had a random craving for lamb at 10pm on a Friday. What to do ? We headed down Greenville Ave and came across this restaurant tucked away between the "typical" nightlife spots. We were greeted by 2 helpful employees, and the chef came from the back to speak about the food. My husband decided on the lamb falafel and rice.
