We stopped in for a late lunch after flying into Dallas. They were busy but not packed and they moved the line along and the food came out quickly. The fries were cooked just right with Parmesan cheese on top. Sandwiches were big and made fresh.

The food here is amazing. They have lots of fresh options, and everything is made to order. My favorite things to order is the veggie panini (it's an off-menu item you can ask for) and the renegade. Their salads are also excellent. I have tried the sunshine and the orchard and both have excellent flavors that meld together and really deliver. The side salad looks small if you order the half but when you take it out of the bowl and put it on a plate you realize it's a good size, it's just packed really tightly in that little cup. There is no kids menu. They could offer half sandwiches that are cut into quarters with a carrot and Raisen salad or even a salad 1/2 the size of a side salad, for a reasonable price. It could even be printed on a little piece of paper and not on the main menu. But they don't have it. They do have a grilled cheese that tastes adequate and has great grill marks, but it's $8! And twice the size of what a kid would need to eat. It would be so easy to make a great little kids menu. The first few times I came there were no booster seats, but they have since purchased one and my son ate very happily today. Thank you for doing that :)

I ordered the blackened tilapia with the side fruit cup. Tilapia was greasy. No side. Small piece of fish. It tasted ok.

The restaurant has vibrant decor and murals that transport you to a diverse neighborhood. Every employee who helped us was approachable and kind, checking on us after we were seated and served, going as far as taking photos for us when we asked because we were celebrating our anniversary, and bringing out things we asked for once we were seated. It seems basic to say that, but the warmth and kindness was felt from each employee we interacted with, and I don't want to gloss over their good service. Our order: - Angry Pho Birria Platter - Elote + Chips - Strawberry Lemonade - Ube Horchata The pho (a little spicy) and bao (a little sweet with super tender meat) will make you want to do a happy dance. The wings could have been a little crunchier but they were sauced so it's understandable. The Bang Bang and Spicy Chili flavors were delicious. The Birria tacos were good, but we loved everything else on the platter more. The Elote + chips starter was authentic and yummy. The chips felt like an odd pairing, but it tasted good together! The Strawberry Lemonade was sweet but refreshing. The Ube Horchata was creamy and delicious. Not too sweet, and the ice didn't ruin it. Know before you go: - Arrive early! We got there when they opened at 11 AM on a Friday. Two other parties were already there and waiting to dine, as well. By 11:30 AM, a nice-sized crowd had rolled in. They had no problem getting everyone served quickly, though. - You order and pay first, grab a seat, and then they bring your food out to you. - Yes, the platter sizes are sufficient for two hungry adults to fill up on! You might even have trouble finishing it all. - Their online menu has awesome pictures of each platter option. The platters look smaller in person than in those photos, but as I said, you will definitely get full. - My husband, who is not a pho lover, loved the Angry Pho. - They are closed on Saturdays and Mondays. - They have gluten-free and halal options.

My husband and I started off by splitting the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket which were good but I wouldn't order again. It just didn't seem to be anything over the top special so I would rather order something else as an app. My husband ordered the fried chicken and I got the Crispy Chicken Katsu. Both were delicious and I would definitely recommend trying both! The Katsu came with a spicy mayo that made the sandwich perfect! I'll start with a positive -- the appetizers were actually quite good. The deviled eggs, dragon…read moreroll, and pigs in a blanket were all tasty, and that's honestly the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

It definitely lived up to the hype, and I'd give it a solid 4 stars-honestly, it was really close to a 5. We ordered the BBQ Ribs, Spicy Jade Shrimp Dumplings, Spicy Beef Tossed Noodles, and a margarita. The Spicy Beef Tossed Noodles were my favorite. The noodles had a great texture, and the beef had just the right amount of spice without being overpowering. The Spicy Jade Shrimp Dumplings were also excellent, and the ribs were tender, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal. Even the margarita was surprisingly good. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, the service was friendly, and everything came out fresh. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I want to come back and make sure this experience wasn't a one-time thing. If the food and service are just as good on my next visit, it'll easily earn that fifth star. Based on this first visit, I'd definitely recommend giving MiYa Chinese a try, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.
