One of the most mismanaged restaurants on the lake. The server didn't know the difference between prime rib and ribeye. The kitchen made the alternated and served us something we didn't order and it was rubbery tough. The patio has so much potential, and it's dirty and tables are placed in odd locations near the pool. The entire cabana overlooking the water is empty and a complete waste of excellent seating. It's really too bad, as the place has a lot of great scenery and sunset views, but it's really a place to grab a drink and hang out. I will say our server was very sweet, she just had absolutely no training. I wouldn't come back for any food here. A drink, maybe. read more

We went there to eat and have a few drinks. Went to the outside bar and ordered a house chardonnay and a beer. The house Chardonnay was 7.00 a glass. When we see the receipt the wine was $9.00. We asked why are you charging this when clearly your menu says $7.00. The bartender said we changed the prices but they didn't change them on the menu. I said you can't charge a different price than what the menu states. Her reply I'm new here and she didn't know what to do. The place is a dump. Do not eat or drink here. Run down and shitty service. The server girl was just hanging out at the bar with some guys and we had to walk over there and call her because she did not see us or come ask us if we're ready to order 20-25 mins after she gave us the menus. *phew* And the serving plate was dirty so we had to ask them to change. I was there this past weekend and had a terrible experience. They told me the pool would be cleaned and it was green and smelled terrible. The hot tub was also disgusting and broken. The kiddie pool was empty. The service was terrible- the waitress was overwhelmed without help from bar staff, and she kept either forgetting what we ordered or giving us the wrong order. My friend found food in her cup of ice cubes. The bar staff refused to wait on us, the bathrooms were out of toilet paper and when they finally refilled them, it was placed on the floor. I complained, thinking the owner would reach out with an explanation or an apology, but I have had no reply. Not only is the food good, but the staff here makes this a place that I could come back to every week. They're so welcoming and outgoing, you immediately feel comfortable there. We had lunch there in a Tues afternoon. There were only a few people. Our friendly waiter was just exceptional; she knew the menu and recommended the pulled pork nachos which were excellent. The tortilla soup, the salad, and grilled Brussels sprouts were very good. If the owner is able, some updating /remodeling of the reataurant and dock would probably pull Many more customers to this beautiful lakeside setting. This place has a beautiful location on the lake with outdoor seating and a swimming pool. It would be a terrific place to enjoy a meal or drink and watch the sunset or just relax. Unfortunately the service was slow and the food was not good. We ordered brussel sprouts and they were burnt, the fries were cold and the chicken wings from Dominoes were better than theirs. We went to watch a football game and they had a game day menu but none of the televisions had football games on them until the end of the first quarter. Terrible place! Went to the bar first while waiting for friends, and bartender completely ignored us while standing directly at the bar. Finally got her attention and asked for a double Jack Daniels on the rocks, it looked to be about an ounce of liquid for 12.00. Once friends arrived, sat outside, which was actually a very nice view......that's all I can say decent about this place. Both food and service were awful, it was like we were an inconvenience to our waitress and the food was gross and not fresh. Also the pool was full of algae, completely green and there was a plugged in electric cord sitting by the pool in a puddle of water, I'm guessing because it had just rained. My husband and I were staying at the condos near here (as we often do), and we decided to head to Wave for some crawfish. It's early in the season so we didn't expect anything too large in size, but there were some big ones sprinkled in. It came with a lot of potatoes and corn (we took some home) and the flavor of the crawfish was INCREDIBLE. The staff was attentive and kind and made conversation. The views are great from inside and the patio. There's a lot that happens here during the warmer months- a pool, live music, cabanas, parking for your boat so you can come in off the lake, etc. It's worth checking out, for sure. The next day we tried crawfish at a DIFFERENT restaurant on the lake (Conroe Lake House). It was horrible. I think they literally boiled the crawfish in water only with no seasoning at all whatsoever. We asked for the check and went BACK TO Wave to order crawfish two days in a row. It was that good. If you're in the area, or on the lake. It's worth it. Go check it out and enjoy the food and atmosphere. read more

Gave this establishment a chance today. When we walked up there was a sign that said "closed 3-5" so we found something else to occupy our time for an hour or so. When we returned at about 5:15 there was 3 high school looking kids sitting at the pool and were HOLLERING at us "we're closed" with little to no explanation when we asked about it... We just purchased a house not even 5 minutes away and were extremely excited about this being the closest bar/establishment, but to be yelled at from 15 feet away by children, smoking by the pool that there is "work being finished" is extremely frustrating. Won't be coming back anytime soon, until management prioritizes hospitality. What a joke read more

I've been needing to write this review for a while now. We showed up without a reservation with a pretty large graduation party and were greeted by the nicest staff! So welcoming. They actually sat us in the cool cabana they have ON the lake. Props to the wait staff walking back and forth, delivering our food/drinks on time, and did it all with a smile on their faces. I wish I didn't live all the way in Humble so I could come here more often. But this is a pretty sick hang out spot. Live band and all. Definitely check them out. read more

We went for lunch. Everyone's drinks were SUPER sugary. A standard sea breeze has grapefruit juice, they didn't have any that day so they substituted pineapple juice and did not tell us. Our meals were 1 star quality and not eaten. Also was told "hmm, wonder why they used shredded cheese on your nachos, that's not how it is suppose to be- want a side queso?" I have been to Wave a few times and am always impressed. Most recently they very kindly accommodated us for my sisters bachelorette party. They went above and beyond! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is beautiful and family friendly. We went on a Thursday night when they have live music and it was great! My whole family had the best time and can't wait to go back. Their food is also very good, especially the boudin egg rolls. Highly recommend. read more
