Cold Hoagies and Sandwiches - Oven Roasted Turkey
    Brett C.

I ordered a kids meal and a classic sandwich. The kids meal options are pretty limited, but my kid wanted a simple Turkey shorti with cheddar cheese, tomato, and a little Mayo. Instead we got a turkey shorti with lettuce, no Mayo, cucumbers and provolone. My kid was about to cry over it but luckily we were home and could swap out ingredients. When we picked up the food the guy was on autopilot making food, and probably not paying attention whatsoever to the print out. He also didn't tell us the order was ready and it was sitting behind the glass. I used to love this place when I lived in the south, would be greeted warmly, my food was always correct, and I would gladly sit outside and eat. NJ Wawas are a joke compared to that - super rude older lady cashier, mistakes on orders, they don't always call your number and you are waiting when it's done and find the order sitting behind the glass meanwhile the food service staff is joking around hanging out. DO BETTER WAWA!

This Wawa is at the intersection of Ryders Lane and Milltown Road, directly across from Vinnie's Subs and diagonally across from Walgreen's. Getting into the parking lot from Ryders Lane southbound requires an awkward left turn--and as another reviewer noted, the parking lot is full of more hairpin turns and blind spots, basically an accident waiting to happen. Definitely smaller than the South River location on Old Bridge Turnpike, but probably more accessible to those living or working in the residential districts of E. Brunswick. Unfortunately, the smaller space is not ideal for handling the commuter rush during breakfast or lunch. This location has employee restrooms but no customer restrooms.

Go to place for quick breakfast on the go. Lunch and dinner are good too here. Staff is always helpful making special orders.

This location is near my sister's house. I wish there was one closer to my place. Four stars because they stock the largest selection of Tastykake products I've seen anywhere in NJ. What more could you want?

Just dropping by to get a late snack. Love the milkshakes. But the peach smoothies that wawa makes are out of this world. Whip cream on top. Yummy

This is recently renovated clean And neat with plenty of parking space, quick service and wide variety.

However, I was craving shrimp summer rolls and decided to stop in because this is the only viet restaurant in the area. The shrimp summer rolls were very disappointing. The skin was very thick, it was mostly full of bland noodles, and overall not flavorful. The only veggies inside is lettuce. The shrimp is sliced in half so it's basically one piece of shrimp per roll. Feeling unsatisfied. I can't speak on any other items on the menu besides the pho, bun bo hue, and now the summer rolls, however, I will not be returning here.

Asked for banh mi to come out for appetizers but they came out after our entrees. Pho broth was delicious, my husband loves thit nuong (grilled pork) as the protein in his pho and they accommodated us with a generous amount. I am a Bun Bo Hue connoisseur, and my life mission is to scour the state of NJ for authentic and satisfying BBH, ever since moving from a state with a plethora of Viet restaurants. Broth was on point - colorful, robust and delicious. Protein was plentiful, beef shank was thick and tender, but the wrong noodles were used. Instead of the usual thick round rice noodles, they used the thin vermicelli rice noodles, taking away from the traditional BBH texture and taste. No ham hocks and blood cubes but that is typical NJ. And banh mi was decent. Mayonnaise was used instead of the house mayo butter, i decided not to be difficult. I will say this place is generous with the meat portions!

It was perfect. We shared it family style, My parents were able to sample everything and had a great time. It was a good amount of food for the money. Also the corn bread was really moist and would recommend adding that. Would recommend JSBBQ.

The portions for the meats were very big. My husband got ranch beans and sweet potato fries for his sides. While the sides were small for both of us, the sweet potato fries were for a family of 4... HUGE portion. He got at least 2 meals out of it. My sides were the Mac and Cheese which was very cheesy and delicious as well as the tomato cucumber salad. I love a good cucumber salad. Like I said before, those sides were very small. I wish I could have just had a plate of sides. The pickles they give you were also very delicious. I also don't like cornbread which came with our orders and theirs was actually sweet and moist. But like I said, as a person who really does not care for BBQ, a plate of sides would be amazing. We also got the 'Jalapeno Honey' wings which were a good size, but I didn't taste much jalapeno or honey for that matter. They were just kind of mild. My husband loved his meal but he does prefer Big Ed's BBQ in Matawan. Our whole meal was $80 which is quite a lot for no waiter service, just counter. The food was very quick and the service in general was okay. We probably would not be back, but it is worth it to check it out. They had a steady flow of customers throughout the time we were eating there.
