The restrooms speak volumes about the cleanliness of this place and the amount of concern their employees have about the cleanliness of the restaurant. There are two plungers, both inside out, sitting in a pile of wet toilet paper. The plungers have been there for some time because the lining is tearing all over them from being inside out for so long. The sink is nasty and hasn't been cleaned in...ever. My only complaint was that it took a while to get our orders and yet the buns were so cold and the patty was so small. I can see how their burgers "can be" decent when it's done right, however, it did not satisfy my burger cravings and wish we had gone somewhere else. Would not recommend. read more

We had seen this place when we moved to area but had tried it. We decided to give it a try when we found a Facebook ad for buy one get one free. My husband and I took our son and it wasn't the best experience. We ordered soft drinks and when we went to the drink station there was no ice and the clerk said it was broken and we asked for ice and they said they didn't have any. We wish we would've know before we ordered and paid for the soft drinks. This isn't a huge deal but the fact that they are located next to Publix it should have never been an issue. Local joint with a HUGE build up (locally owned and operated - EVERYONE wants this place to succeed) and I was really excited to finally go with the family. They have very good shakes, but the good ends there. The burgers are just decent - under cooked & greasy with no flavor, but nice fresh condiments (crisp pickles, lettuce and tomatoes). Fries and onions rings were ALL cold as they were cooked to order, but started at the same time as the burgers. I watched them sit on the cold prep counter for minutes chilling while the burgers were finished. At $2 more for fries and FOUR dollars for onion rings HOT is not too much to ask. I asked if we could have hot ones and the kid looked at me and said, "you can buy another order I guess". Gee, thanks! I really wanted to like this place, but it fell very short of the mark. Cold food, high prices (5 cold onion rings for $4 ...) and lackluster service - not at all what i expected. At least at Sonic I'll pay half as much, have food that tastes and service that knows who is paying the bill. read more

Milkshakes are amazing, but that's the only thing that shines. The burgers are ok but over priced. French fries are supposed to be from real potatoes yet something seems off about them especially their texture when you chew them. We drive 10 minutes out of our way to eat here. Their hamburgers and onion rings are always hot, fresh and delicious. Service is fast and friendly. They keep it cool inside so you may want to bring something warm to wear. read more

Today I ordered 3 cheese burgers meals, which was very over price for 3 cheeseburger meals it was $30 then when we ordered sauce for each meal when we went to the counter for the sauce we paid for the lady making burger gave us attitude and was being smart! Our first visit here now that they have gluten free Udi's buns. The burgers were pretty good and seemed similar to Steak n Shake to me. The fries were nice and crunchy, plus they also have beer on tap. He kids really liked the fried mac n cheese and the onion rings passed the kid test. Service was a little rough but the manager of the night shift did everything he could to accommodate us, including a free upgrade to a large onion ring because we waited a couple minutes longer than expected. A little pricey for what you get. I don't mind paying a little more, but expect better portions, like Five Guys. Burger was pretty good, fries were average, shakes and malts were overpriced. The small shake looked like a kids cup and was $3.59. It had to be about 10 oz. A family of 4 expect to be at $50 for a meal. BK or Sonic would be half that. Moderate pricing will equal repeat customers, hence more consistent business. I truly hope they succeed. Good concept. and good menu.. just give a better value, especially on the shakes. read more

I went to jakes the other day and was greeted and felt as if I belonged there. When I got my food it was nothing but fresh and the customer service was amazing, from the time the workers put my order in until the time I got my food there was always a smile on their faces. The restaurant was very clean and organized, the staff checked in on me a couple of times during my meal to make sure I didn't need anything else. But my favorite part of it all is kids eat free every Tuesday, what more could you ask for! A great fresh cooked burger, great customer service, and kids meals for free you can't beat that. I was looking forward to a good burger. What they serve is a tasteless, mushy burger moderately cooked. Had to add salt & pepper to taste anything. The texture of the burger was horrid. No body whatsoever. The fries cost $1.99 over the $5.79 burger while onion rings (from frozen) were $3.79! At these prices and given the Wayback lack of quality, it would be better to get your burger from the Outback right down the road. I love this place. Having just concluded a 25 year dealing with customers I can be objective when frequenting a locale. Well, today my daughter and I went to swayback burgers. It's our second time in 6 months...we don't live close. As soon as we arrived we were greeted and the gentleman immediately told us of the lunch specials. He didn't try to talk us up or sell extras we were not looking for. He was genuinely nice and so polite. It was such a great a nice location for a mommy daughter lunch. The customer service did not just cease once the next associate prepared our orders. They are doing something right. Customers look happy and seem to converse in a familiar "our favorite place to go" sort of etiquette. Before leaving I complimented the gentleman about his restaurant. I asked his name and it was/is Jay. If you all want to eat in a clean and friendly place with great food and service, look no further. Wayback Burgers is it. Was excited for a new food place in the area.. 1st time I went, my food was cold and that was after a 20 minute wait. It also wasn't very good but I figured that could have been from not being hot.I did not enjoy the small eat in area either. 2nd time was another wait and a mixed up order in which the blame was put on me and was then restated that I made the mistake and fixing it was only a courtesy. (I have ordered a burger the same way for 20+ years, I guess it slipped my mind how I normally order my food that time... not likely) Again, food was nothing special. This place is disgusting and I'm surprised it hasn't been shut down yet. They food is always less than average (always cold, prepared horribly) and it is obvious nothing gets cleaned, the floors are sticky the walls are dirty and even the plates are always dirty!
