I brought my truck to Wayne County Ford for a transmission repair and had a frustrating experience with how my situation was handled I provided warranty documentation and simply asked that it be reviewed. The service manager refused to look at it, pushed it aside, and stated that the computer system is all that matters. He also suggested the document could be fraudulent and told me to take it back to the selling dealer. When I asked again for it to be reviewed, I was told service could be refused I was later contacted by the owner, Bryanna, who was polite and responsive. I explained from the beginning that I was already working with the selling dealership on the warranty and that my concern was how the situation was handled. While she offered to help on the warranty side, the focus stayed there rather than addressing the customer service issue At the end of the day, I was simply looking for the way I was treated to be acknowledged and addressed This situation could have been avoided with basic professionalism and a willingness to review the documentation provided. The repair is still ongoing, so I cannot speak to the quality of the work yet, but the initial experience was disappointing. read more

DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE I was interested in buying a used Ford truck they had advertised. The test drive went well. When I get back to the dealership, I crawled underneath to take a look. I found a substantial oil leak. When I told the salesman (Don Race) he assured me the guys in the shop will fix it. He also told me they would put new tires on too. Then we talked numbers, I was approved for the loan and we shook hands on the deal. I would come back in a week to do my final inspection and sign paperwork. Two days later I talked to the salesman and now he tells me the manager doesn't want to put the money into the truck to fix the oil leak (it needs an oil pan) so I can buy it for $4000 less because "that's what we can get at auction". No new tires either. As is no warranty. It makes me think they're hiding something else. The salesman (Don Race) lied to me. He assured me they would fix it. That's the only reason I moved forward to make a deal. I would not recommend Wayne County Ford to anybody for sales service or anything else. read more

UPDATE: After picking up my truck, things got worse. I was told the transmission was being "overhauled," but after reviewing the paperwork, it's clear this was not a full rebuild. It looks like only failed parts were replaced while other major components were reused. That's not what most people would expect when they hear the word overhaul, and it feels misleading. To make matters worse, I left with a cracked windshield that was not there when I dropped the truck off. No mention of it, no accountability -- just handed the truck back like nothing happened. At this point, it's not even worth the aggravation of going back and dealing with them. That says everything about the level of confidence I have in this place. Between the lack of transparency, questionable quality of work, and now damage to my vehicle, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Report shows structural damage, and theft recovery vehicle.report shows vehicle was bought at auction with a structural damage notice. Dates of damage and theft were long enough ago that there would be zero reason for them not to be on a Carfax. And all issues occurred prior to my purchase of the vehicle.No branding on title to indicate the theft. Structural damage or theft was not disclosed at time of sale. Carfax that I was shown was not given to me for my records at the time of sale. Lender stated they would have never approved transaction if they had known the issues. Checking with other dealers, they will not touch the vehicle even as a crazy low trade value. Experienced car buyer of both new and used vehicles, not a desperate buyer. I would never have bought the vehicle had I known the true history. I had no reason to doubt the Carfax I was shown at the time because I have had good experiences with them in the past (or so I think), as they are a fairly reputable dealer in this area. Wayne County Ford was great to deal with. Due to the current supply situation, I had to order a vehicle but they made this easy and even though it took much longer than expected to arrive they were friendly to deal with. I traded my vehicle in when I ordered, and in the 10 Months it took Ford to make the vehicle they honored the order price, handled the trade paperwork and taxes properly, and didn't add on any Administrative fees that many other dealer are doing for these high demand ordered vehicles. In a tough market where new vehicles are just hard to get, they are doing a great job and being very honest and reliable. Things have changed in the way vehicles are purchased and sold, and they are adapting well to this new market. read more

Wish there were zero stars. My car was towed here for transmission issues. They fixed my car and charged me over $5000 without ever informing me of the price. After over a month of calling them asking for a timeline. They randomly called and said it was ready for pickup. Once I complained that nobody ever told me a price or estimate of how much it would be, they told me they'd speak to the owners to see what they could do for me since this was not "professional". After three weeks of randomly calling each time being told that they would call me back the next day with an answer find out that they only gave 200 in house credit. I brought my truck to Wayne County Ford to figure out why it couldn't start. They called me and told me that the truck wasn't covered under warranty so I said I will just come back and pick it up . They charged me $800 plus and when I sent a tow truck to pick up my truck this is how they returned the truck to me. They never put my truck back together and they left the Greasy parts in the backseat. Husband went in for a Quick Lane Oil Change and wanted to use our Ford Points (which we had more than enough for 2 oil changes) and was totally taken advantage of! They changed all the wipers and the air filter without authorization and not only used all our points but we also had to pay out of pocket! When I called and inquired, I was told that my husband said to "Do whatever needs to be done" which is the furthest thing from the truth! NEVER would we pay $70 to have windsheild wipers replaced, especially when we literally replaced them ourselves just a couple months prior!!!!!! Literally the most dishonest car dealer I've encountered in my life. (I'm 52 and have purchased at least 10 cars from dealers.) Unlike other dealers they won't post prices on the internet, not to mention on the car itself. Even after expressing interest in a car, it's impossible to get a printout for the car and anything even remotely like an actual price. It was surreal! And I feel sad for any customers hoodwinked by the false friendly smiles, who may believe that their own natural human decency is shared by these slithering snakes for salesmen. Good luck getting any type of firm financing offer - it's obviously an independent profit center. Try getting a trade-in value for your car and being told it affects your financing rate? Typing of the paperwork is another profit center. Get this-you won't even know what warranty comes on a Certified car, another opportunity to gauge their customers. I bought a Ford Explorer from them. The air conditioner was broken, along with one of the front seats. I had to drive up 1 1/2 hours, 4 times to have them repaired. When I picked it up the last time, the car had a humming sound. I called to have that repaired, i was scheduled a month and 1/2 out to have it repaired, in hopes that it wouldnt get worse. We decided that it would not be a good idea to wait that long. So we took it to another Ford place to have it repaired. It was a wheel bearing*which was not covered by the extended warranty and a seal, that was covered". The place where i got it repaired at told me to call Wayne County Ford, they should compensate me, we did not have the car that long. I called and spoke to Roger, his response " we dont know what you did to the car or how many miles you put on it (i just picked the car back up a week prior from the last repair) "you should have brought it back to us". I explained I couldn't get an appointment for a month and 1/2. In the end, all the blame was put on us and they were not helping or taking any responsibility. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM, the minute you drive off that lot you are on your own. I had to fight with them to have them fix the air conditioner that was broke too. never again!!!!! read more

We had a horrible experience with this location. It was recommended to us because we were told they were better then our local service center. They changed parts that didn't need to be changed, we were given the opportunity to see so called damaged parts. They did the repairs without contacting us for approval and further discussion. We called SEVERAL times even left the owner a message and also requested to have the owner call us. After months of no reply we contacted the headquarters twice, and pretty much they blew us off and referred us back to the original location. We spend a few thousand dollars that were not approved or totally necessary. After a short time after we had the car returned back to us, we had to trade it in because they really didn't fix it. I think its safe that Ford is going to be losing 2 customers. I would less than one star.... OH and the Service Manager told us over the phone the one part was changed even though they knew it would fixt the problem. read more

Beware. Wayne County Ford will rip you off and take your car for a joyride. We are extremely disappointed and frustrated at the service we received from this dealer. My father recently brought my his '06 Mustang in for two things - a recall regarding air bags and automatic transmission fluid change. When he called to make the service appointment, he was given a $155 quote. The driver side air bag was replaced, as the passenger side air bag is not in yet. That and the transmission service only took about 2 hours. When my father went to pay the bill, the lady at the desk told him it would cost $195. When my father asked why, she answered because they had to drop the pan, change the filter, and change the gasket. My father, knowing his car, had to tell the lady the car doesn't have a gasket and filter, that kind of transmission, and that the pan doesn't have to be dropped. After a long pause, the lady acknowledged my dad is right and charged the original $155. That aside, when my father got into his car, the dealer had added 10 miles and used 1/8th of a tank of gas. Mind you, he made note of the mileage and fuel gauge needle reading before dropping it off for service. When my father spoke to the manager about the miles added and the gas that was used, he was told that they did a test drive after an oil change. A ten mile road test for a transmission service for that car was definitely not necessary. My father is a mechanic himself. He has been working on his own cars, and he is a marine mechanic for over 40 years. He has been certified with Honda, Johnson, Evergrow, Yamaha, MasterCraft (Indmar- both GM and Ford engines), Ski Nautique (Ford engine), Suzuki, and Tohatsu. He has worked on go-fast boats in Point Pleasant, NJ to get boats ready for the Beni Hana offshore race. He knows his way around an engine. When he tested boats or got them ready for Cypress Gardens or Great Adventure, he did not take it for a 10 mile cruise. Any responsible and respectable mechanic would agree that if you work on a hot car, the most that you are supposed to "test drive" is two miles. At that, two miles is even too much for a test drive on any vehicle unless the owner agrees to more than a two mile test drive. read more

I've lived in the area for over 20 years. Over those years, I attempted to buy or lease a new Ford four times. And every time I found it considerably cheaper elsewhere. One time I went into their service dept. for an oil change and a trans flush. While they were putting it on the lift, I asked them to diagnose the reason why my "Check Engine" light was on (a service the local parts store does for free) The told me it would cost an additional $75. I made an appointment online for a simple oil change, and was told when I arrived (which was a 40 minute drive) that I shouldn't use the online method, it's not reliable and they are usually booked further ahead then the times available. But it's ok, because we do an express oil change and lucky me, only one person ahead. I walked to a store and arrived back at the dealership 45 minutes later to find my truck hadn't move from the spot where I parked it. I was then told, they were short handed (which apparently is a trend) and I'd be next. Oh, and by the way you'll probably be here another hour. Really?? I was up very early on a Sat to make the 8 appointment. And hey Wayne County Ford, I'll be looking for a new truck soon. If I could leave less of a rating I would. I am a forger Chief of Police and Military man. They show no respect toward the military when asking for a military rate that most Dealers honor with pride, but Wayne Ford huff ed and puffed while sucking teeth as if my service was a burden to them. I thank God my buddy told me about them denying Extended Warranty service for an allegedly covered part. I made a turn and got Serviced at B and B Dodge Chrysler. Wayne currently being considered for lawsuit for not honoring their warranty and standing by the Ford brand. The engine blew and Wayne Ford shirked the responsibility. Sham, no pride, don't go here pass and go straight to Scranton or Stroudsburg even Port Jervis. You are just a number and they only worry about fleets far more than individual customers that they can push aside as soon as you buy. The salesman wasn't bad. He had no latitude to negotiate from the manager. Kind of felt bad for him. A 157 point inspection evidently doesn't include brakes, oil, coolant. Etc. All of which I replaced a week later for 1k. Mostly the brakes. All 4 were bad. Rotors and pads. Recall taken care of? Nope. Had to bring it back for that too. Why would a Ford dealer know there's a recall on a Ford right? You pay your money you take your chances. Live and learn. The only consolation I got was a email congratulating me on 1 year ownership. This place is the worst Ford dealer in the country. First off I love my explorer. When I took it here for normal service they over filled my transmission and cause my truck to start dumping it all over the highway. It sent the computer into a panic and warning light went off. I had to have it towed while on vacation to another dealer that fixed it free. When they told me what happen I called to complain only to be yelled at by the service manager who stated the dealer that fixed it was crazy and wanting to rip me off for work they did for free. Then he said and I quote " F off don't ever come into the dealership again. This he tells someone that spend 2k a year in service from there and never complained about a thing. I also explained this problem to the general manager who dosent apoligze for his employees actions or anything. He states that the service record seems to be missing from there computer and my printout is wrong. The records they provide while there are wrong. So in other words he dosent care at all. Service dept. is so incompetent. One day they say I need tires and the following week they say the tires are fine. I had work done twice and left needing air in the tires despite the fact the tech. drove the truck. How could you not know the tire needed 30 lbs of air? Insisted on doing work that could have waited. Service dept. is just out to make money and does not care what they have to do to do it. Complained and NO ONE from Wayne County Ford ever phoned to talk to me. So much for customer relations. STAY CLEAR OF THE SERVICE DEPT !!! read more
