I have used Yelp for years to find quality, reliable contractors in the San Diego area, and I…read morewanted to leave a review for All American Plumbing-Poway after our recent experience with a slab leak. Kevin O'Rourke was our service technician, and we could not have been happier with his work. All American responded quickly to our call, and Kevin quickly located and capped the leak to prevent further damage. He thoroughly explained our options, from repairing the immediate leak to taking preventive measures to avoid future in-slab leaks. After discussing the pros and cons, we decided to move forward with a downstairs re-pipe to replace any pipes that were in the slab, along with replacing our pressure regulator and several older valves. This was a major project involving rerouting plumbing through the ceilings and walls, but Kevin guided us through every step of the process. He was knowledgeable, patient, professional, and always made sure we understood the work being done. It is rare to immediately trust a service technician you have just met, but we had complete confidence in Kevin and his recommendations throughout the project. After the plumbing work was completed, they also provided excellent referrals for stucco (thank you Carlos) and drywall repair (thank you Hugo at California Quality Drywall) to help restore our home as quickly as possible. I highly recommend All American Plumbing-Poway, especially Kevin O'Rourke, and we will definitely use them again for any future plumbing needs.

I called Dr. Rooter and Plumbing, and Jerry and Jhony came out the same day! They even picked up the toilet from Lowes, which was such a convenience! Jhony did a great job on the installation. There was a part missing on the side of the toilet, and Jerry went back to Lowes to let them know it wasn't in the box. He found parts that fit my toilet, came to my house the next morning and put it on. Thank you for a fair price and good service! I will definitely be calling them again!

The positive: - within 90-minutes of calling, the plumber was there to clear the line. He told me camera of the line was included. - Jerry and his two guys were very nice, very polite. The negative: - after the first guy arrived and got started, Jerry showed up with another guy (now 3 guys on site), and told me the camera was going to be additional charge. I told him that the first guy said it was included. Jerry quickly said ok. That seemed odd. - though they said tree roots were the cause, clearing the line was done without the root cutter head which I would've expected. So no effort to remove any roots, just poke a hole in the blockage to allow the water to pass through the line. - Jerry informed me the price to clear the clog was $250. I was surprised, so he said "ok, then $200". Again, it seemed a little shifty. He offered to return with a hydrojetter and charge me $600 if ai chose that service but by then I already felt this was not who I wanted to work with any further beyond the immediate need. Afterward I found competing service providers charge ~$100 (some include a camera) for the work I received that day and would've also done some root removal rather than just poke the clog to clear the backup. I chose this provider based on Yelp reviews. But I felt it was smart to circle back and leave one of my own based on my experience.

He cleared an upstairs drain then asked if there was plumbing downstairs, below. Yes there is. He went downstairs to MAKE SURE he hadn't just pushed the clog further to cause problems there. Uh oh, now the downstairs bathtub drain (which was already slow) was backed up. But he cleared that too, and of course only charged me for clearing one drain. And it is a VERY low price. I've used this company several times over the past 30 years (it's a 60-year old house after all) and have always been VERY pleased with their work. NOTE I feel sure that most of the 1-star reviews are actually people who used the imposter company without realizing it. As the real company states here on Yelp, "With our business we just unclog the drains. We don't do any plumbing work. Do not Call the 858 number, they are not us." The imposter company uses the website "bairddrainservice" - don't go there looking for George! The real George Baird drain service do not have a website.

My initial phone call was meet with a very friendly and helpful receptionist. I'm sorry I don't recall her name. My issue was a small gas leak to my stove that was only accessible through the cabinets next to it. I was put in contact with their technician Chris who was able to come out that same day. He was outstanding. Personable, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He explained what the problem was and why the gas valve was leaking. He replaced the valve in no time at all. My bill turned out to be much lower than I expected. I highly recommend CML Plumbing. You won't be disappointed.

When the technician arrived, he took a quick look, flashed a light around, and glanced under the crawl space--but never actually went in to investigate. After a few minutes, he told me he couldn't find anything and suggested a costly camera inspection. At that point, I asked him a question about our dishwasher, and he ran a wire through it, pushing out a bit of food buildup. It was a small fix, and I was grateful for the help. Then came the shock--he told me I owed him $200. I was stunned. For what amounted to a flashlight glance and a quick poke at the dishwasher, it felt incredibly excessive. I was home alone and felt pressured to pay, but I walked away from that interaction feeling completely taken advantage of. Thankfully, we contacted a second plumber who actually took the time to go into the crawl space, snake the main line, and diagnose the real issue--without charging a dime for the inspection. He gave us a fair quote, fixed the problem properly, and even installed a two-way sewer cleanout. That's the kind of service that earns long-term trust. I don't normally write reviews like this, but I want others to know: do your homework. There are honest, hardworking professionals out there. Sadly, this company wasn't one of them. Reach out to Andy at Flow Right.
