It's changed a little bit. It used to be full service, now it's a "quick serve" where you order at the counter". The menu is still large, and the prices on the menu are reasonable. I had the four seasons, which is chicken, beef and shrimp, with veggies in sauce. I had it with chow mein and fried rice, and I also ordered an egg roll. The main dish was very good. There was a good amount of the proteins, and the veggies were done, just right. Not too soft, not under done. It was a very decent sized portion. The fried rice was also good, it was a good texture, and a very good flavor. The chow mein tasted very good, but it was just a little bit mushy. The eggroll also tasted very good. There was a little bit of a cinnamon taste to it, which came from the five spice. I love five spice. The only problem with the egg roll, was that it was cold in the middle. A little bit of a letdown. General Chicken was tough, over fried and the sauce had a weird burnt taste. The egg foo young also lacked flavor though the sauce was good-the omeletted had chunks of dough/flour or whatever binder they used. The food is served in to go containers even though we choose to eat inside. It was paperplates and papercups with plastic utensils. I had asks for water and napkins. Its figuratively what people call a hole in the wall and telling by how long they've been up and running.. Its working for them. This food is average and priced high. You can get the same quality food and bigger portions that will feed your entire family elsewhere. Their portions will feed about 2 maybe three and I thought Chinese was a family style kind of food. They charge double for jumbo portions. It would actually be better to get a combo plate for each person because it will probably be cheaper. They are just over priced. Thought we would try this place after a while. I used to come here regularly as a kid then they fell off for a while sloppy and gross. Thought I would try again because it's been quite a few years since I last been here but we won't be coming back because I can spend $50 feed my entire family and have some left over for me and my husband the next day compared to $70. I have been in this community over 40 years and been coming to this restaurant about that long. The quality of service and food has really hit a low. I have not been there in years and stopped by today and was shocked by the rude service. The cashier informed me they do not serve hot sauce because of price increases. Really, a quarter? WOW. There business is predominantly black people who they know love hot sauce. Also, they do not ask if it's for here or to go they just bagged it up and hand it to you, my friend is handicapped so it was best for him to eat it while it was fresh.
