This was the worst $25 car wash I got. The guy told me a full service, but they only cleaned the front two floor matts and windows. I took everything out of my trunk and emptied my car. They didn't even wash the matt in my trunk. They also didn't touch my center console which is the first thing you see when you enter a car. It's still as dirty as I brought it in. I still gave the guys a $10 tip when I thought they did a good job, I was wrong. I don't recommend this place at all. Spend your money at another car wash. read more

A Groupon hooked me in and then I returned for a second on me. The details; while the outside was clean, the interior was far from that. While the dash and steering column were wiped down, the cubbie holes, drink holders and the etc's were as they were when I brought it in. A wet rag drawn across a surface but shit left behind. One thing that pissed my socks off was the negligence to details. All worsened by a theft from my trunk. I rolled in there just after hitting up the party store. A nice set of airplane bottles in the trunk as a gift for a party later that night. When later that night came I opened the trunk to find an open bag with contents missing. For a half ass wash, I think the $5 spot I dropped for tip was reasonable but add in the value of the loss, approx $8 and now it's a damn shame. The problem with these types of washing places is that they are trying to move as many cars as they possibly can. You've got too many guys doing the same job and when the captain is not paying attention to details, shit gets mismanaged. I.e. a trunk with shit taken. Or a trunk that doesn't get the vacuum service it's supposed to get. Or a console which does not cleaned out properly. Or car windows that have streaks. When you pay more than ten dollars for a wash, it should be worth the value. I mean, Turtle wash centers do it everyday. $10 for a hand wash is cool, any amount more then that, fuhgedaboudit. read more

For $20, this is the worst wash ever. A brushless auto wash could have done better! I paid $3 extra for the tire shine (even tho I said I didn't want it, they did it anyway & charged me) and had to have the guy come back out because my rims were filthy! The interior wasn't any better- they didn't wipe the radio, the back seat was wiped down, with dust left all along the edges (see pic), coffee splash over that was missed, and they (sort of) washed the mats- but didn't vacuum underneath them! Exterior- there is something sticky that dripped on the trunk, it's still there. The side panels show swirl marks and the inside of the door panels not wiped down, it can be seen from the outside. So not worth the money. Won't be back with so many other options in the city. read more

Best detail job I've ever had! My car looked brand new (which is hard to do with dog hair all over). It took about 3 hours even though they initially told me an hour and a half. So just plan on leaving your car until they call you. Overall, great place! read more

First review of the new year...and its a doozy. So the weather was nice and I decided to get my car washed. I tried to go to Gateway Auto Spa...but the line was around the corner. Needing a quick hand car wash, I remembered passing by this establishment several times, and decided to give it a try. Wish I hadn't. You enter off of Halsted and tell the employee what type of wash you want. Then you exit the vehicle and let them pull it up to start the process. I wanted an interior/exterior, and REALLY wish I had gone somewhere else. They completely missed the area around my gear shift, the inside didn't smell clean, and I was truly disappointed. The icing on the cake was when I checked the inside Windows, I noticed that my drivers side window tint had been DAMAGED. There were chip marks throughout one section of the tint. I talked to the manager who said (im this order): * it was like that when I came in. * it's on the outside, not the inside * "well we just use Windex and a towel so I don't see how that could've possibly happened" He eventually gave me back the $17 I paid for the wash, but his attitude caused me to file a complaint with the City of Chicago. Do not go to this wash. Trust me, you'll be glad you didn't. read more

Went at 830am with the groupon. Decent service but felt it was rushed. Left streaks on all windows both inside and outside the glass. Not sure if they vacuumed the trunk (which is included in the premium service). Also did not like the fact that the service guys keep jumping in and out of your car with wet feet/hands to move the car once another car moves up. Keep the car in one place and have the service come to it. Was hoping for a stellar job so that I could buy more groupons but will probably hold off. The service people were friendly, though. WORST PLACE EVER!! OWNER is RUDE and ARROGANT!! Go here you want to be treated like a fool in front of their customers and employees... I was in the market to get my windows "professionally" tinted and just like everything else I do, I try to do as much research as I can online. I was leaning towards a 3M film at 35%, I just needed to see it first. (I pay a lot of attention to details, so keep in mind that each manufacturer has a slight variation on what they consider 35%. Brand, film color and film material (dye, metallic, ceramic..) will each have a different look and performance features.) So I called asking to see their tint work and if they had a car with 35% of 3M so I can see how it looks. I spoke to Manny and he replied "OF COURSE, COME ON IN". So I headed out to pay them a visit. When I arrived, I asked to see the car that had the tint I was looking get and Manny (the boss/owner) pointed to a Mercedes R500 and said "that's what the tint looks like". At first I thought he was joking, because the car had only the rear windows tinted WHICH CAME LIKE THAT FROM THE FACTORY!.. I asked Manny, "I thought you were going to show me 35% 3M tint and of work you've done". He replied, "it'll look the same"' !!!?!##@@ At that point I was a bit frustrated that I had driven all this way, wasting my time just to see a random car IN their shop with factory tinted glass, when I could have just looked out my window at any other random freaking car!! I asked him why he told me to "come on in" when he was just going to show me a car that had factory tint. His immediate response (with an attitude) was, if I'm going to start complaining now, he doesn't want my business and to get out! I was quite shocked to say the least, especially since apparently he was the owner. His response was in front of customers that were picking up their cars and other employees. If this is how business is done here, I can only wonder how this establishment is still open. But more importantly they most definitely do not deserve my business! It truly boggles my mind how some people are. Here I am looking to give my money to someone and they are doing everything they can to make sure that wont ever happen. Do they think they are just entitled? We need to stop spending money places like this with these type of BAD owners, it only fuels them and allows them to continue thinking that their type of BAD management is working. They don't even do the tinting at the facility, you have leave your car there for it to be joy-rided off to some mysterious place and come back whenever it's done. Great job! Always clean. They wash inside and out, dry, clean the wheels, put on some tire shine, vacuum, wash your rubber mats, and they have awesome magazines for us car guys. (It's female friendly too! ;) ) Takes just a few minutes unless they're swamped and they are pretty damn thorough. I go there once a week. read more

Really bad experience for 3 things. 1. They insisted that I should pay more tips. (I had Toyota service and they gave me a free car wash card here. Original price was 19 per vehicle. I paid $3.) What right do they have to let me pay more tips?? 2. When finished, there was still some soap on the window. They called hand wash, but just used water gun to clean up the soap. 3. Got my car detailed inside and out and it looks like new. It was expensive but at least I don't have to get it detailed for a while. Went to the dealership last time for a cheaper detail and I don't think the dealership even washed my car. We wash did a great job! Been here several times because it's conveniently located. The owner always seems annoyed and they do poor quality work. Rims are never clean, they barely wipe the interior and use harsh towels to dry expensive paint jobs. As the owner debates with me that his garbage bath towels from Walmart won't scratch the paint. I was really excited when I had time this am to swing by here for the $10 special. When I went to pay... I was told it was $15. I have an SUV so I figured it would be the standard $2 up charge. But whatever, I still thought it was a decent deal. I made the mistake of not looking in the back of the car because they did not vacuum the back seat and the trunk. I came in here for a quick wash. First nice day after a string of bad ones- needed to get the car spruced up. The price was right (about $20) for a SUV. My car was in and out. It's unfortunate people with Groupons are giving bad reviews. I've been coming here for years and have had good service. @minni, its called an assembly line. if they don't move the cars, new ones can't come in. The fact that you'd only come back (using other groupons) means these guys would never make money on you. @jacob, did you go back and ask about your theft? I don't wait in the waiting area, I wait (and watch) off to the side in the detail area. If they miss a spot, you can let them know. @robert, the spray wax gets sprayed on after they 'wash' your car. Quick, thorough, above and beyond. The price is right ($17)and the line moves quickly. Extras available but no pressure whatsoever. A substance had leaked onto the trunk (likely from the garage). They quickly removed it using Lime Away or some such product. Unlike a more expensive car wash up the street (by 70%) which said I would have to get something from an Auto Parts store to take care of it. I am wondering if the folks who wrote the most recent review were at the same place. I brought up tips. No one else had mentioned it. Confession: I never get my car washed. I also never have people in my car - mostly because I am a bad Asian driver. As a result, my car is a MESS. Poor thing. I finally gave in and gave my car a good cleaning over the weekend. I was having someone ride passenger in my car, and I would have been terribly embarrassed if they saw it in the pre-washed condition. For $17 on a Saturday afternoon, they did a pretty darn good job. To add more insult to injury, when we asked them if they could dry our car better, we receiving an insulting reply from one of the employees, so insulting we feel violated. I have gone to this location for more than ten years and I always appreciate the speed in which they wash the car however today I was mistreated and insulted by a man who claimed he owns the place. Not only did they back my car out of the line as I watched he then tried to convince me that I was mistaken and that the two cars now in front of me were in line before me. Clearly my money pales in comparison to the two men who were placed in front of me. He called me crazy and I lost it. Went there on a Thursday afternoon. This is my second time at this location and after this last visit I will never go back again. I was in the area so I needed to get the car done.The prices are on the high side and well thought that they were going to do a good job on the car. Obviously not a good job. Got the car back and noticed the following defects: - Center console not clean. Cupholders could have been wiped down(takes 2 minutes!??!) Not to mention other things that could be wiped down. If they are not going to do a good job in the interior why even vacuum the f$@!ing car??? - Wheels could have been cleaned better. - The mirrors were still wet and not fully dried - Some parts of the car still wet and with the salt on the streets, did not last too long for $20 bucks. It looked like a bunch of amateur high school kids washed it at their raising rasing money for their sport teams or whatever. We as customers, should not have to be telling "the pros" what to do. For example, we shouldn't have to tell the guys, "Oh you missed a spot", "Can you wipe this off"? It is just ridiculous to do such thing. They can see it and they know the job was not done satisfactorily. They don't want to do it. One word for this place. OVERRATED!!! If you are ever in the Jefferson Park area and need a wash, visit the location on Lawrence. It is also called We Wash. They do much better job for the right price. read more

This car wash does a pretty good job. They typically vacuum the interior better than I can (they use compressed air to get all the junk out of the cracks and crevices) and the exterior always comes out looking nice. They also use higher quality towels than most hand car washes (not super high quality chamois, but it'll do). This matters to me because one of my cars has black metallic paint and I'm trying to avoid swirl marks for the life of me! What held them back from a 5 star review is that I always have to be rather explicit with what I want cleaned. For example they tend not to clean out the cup holders if you don't ask, and similarly if you have a problem spot, like a spill or something in the car, it won't be taken care of unless you mention it. They also do not use those disgustingly scented sprays that make your car smell like crayons or cheap perfume for a week. read more
