Webb's is a place that completely defies expectations, and in the best possible way! We all know the breweries that are tucked into little business parks. They're industrial-feeling, with sparse decor. They rarely have food--and rarely good food. They're usually bar/counter service joints. Don't get me wrong... I do love them. But they're a specific vibe. Webb's is about as opposite of that as you can get while still being a brewery (& distillery!) Instead, Webb's is much more like an elegant gastropub in an unlikely location. From the greeting at a host stand, to the decor, to the bar & service staff, they set an expectation in your mind that something here is very different. And then they completely back it up with their service, food, and drinks. Every time we've been there, the food is absolutely amazing. Often we've gotten burgers, which come with some perfectly made fries. But their options go well beyond that. My wife loves their grilled cheese (sadly only available weekdays), I've had their brisket sandwich which is stellar, and their BLT is on point. And then once even tried the dan dan chicken wings, which were EXCELLENT -- but be warned if you can't handle the heat... They're hot! The beers I've had have always been great, and being a distillery, they have their own cocktails. And a full bar, as my wife tends to like a glass of bubbly. The food is just phenomenal. I had the Ahi bowl which is just devious. Who thinks up of putting Mac n Cheese in that? Fabulous! Spot on. Great atmosphere. Beautiful restaurant. And what a menu. Sick! Have to try everything on there. The mocktail menu was really cool too. I got the spa splash drink which has cucumber in it and mint. What a refreshing drink on a scorching hot day. The only thing that really rubbed us the wrong way was that after we had been at our table for an hour and 40 minutes (party of 7), a host walked up to us and said "Just wanted to let you know you are approaching your 2 hour time limit. You know, other families would like to dine with us this evening as well." The tone he said it in wasn't the nicest either. We were all taken back. I'm not sure if he was very stressed out by the wait or something but we were still eating food. I wish we would've known that when we were sat initially because we leisurely ordered appetizers to split and then food afterwards. I would've put out appetizers and entrees in at the same time. I first encountered Webb's at a food show about a year ago, where a few of their crew were slinging drinks with the kind of casual confidence that suggests they knew exactly what they were doing. The spirits were fantastic--bold, unapologetic, well-crafted. And when I learned they were practically in my backyard, I made a mental note to visit. Then life happened. Business, travel, distractions. Webb's faded into the ether. Fast forward to last night. A buddy and I found ourselves locked out of our first-choice dinner spot--Saturday night, peak hours, no dice. A quick map search, a flicker of memory, and suddenly we were en route to Webb's. I expected the usual: an urban distillery in a nondescript industrial park, maybe a few barrels, a clipboard-wielding guy with a beard and a dream, pouring flights to the curious. What we found was something else entirely. The glow hit us first--an almost cinematic haze in the cool night air. It didn't look like a distillery. It looked like a destination. And then, the half-train caboose, embedded in the front of the building like some fever-dream homage to Americana. Inside, through the big windows, people were drinking, laughing, completely absorbed in their night. The Webb's logo loomed like a beacon. We stepped inside and the place swallowed us whole. A grinning host led us to the last available seats in the house. The walls were paneled in dark wood, the neon hummed with nostalgia, and a massive, steel-clad horseshoe bar dominated the room--something straight out of Pittsburgh or Chicago, not suburban Orange County. A Lakers-Celtics game flickered on oversized TVs, but no one seemed particularly invested. The real show was in the drinks. Multiple Old Fashioneds later, made with their own bourbon--rich, smooth, a little dangerous--we worked through a spread of appetizers and a surprisingly respectable pastrami sandwich. Time stretched. The night blurred. And then, suddenly, it was 11:00. Stepping outside, we lingered in the parking lot, looking back at the building now dimmed and quiet, as if the beast had exhaled and gone to sleep. How had this place been here for over a year, just blocks from my house, without me knowing? It didn't matter. We'd be back--probably the very next day. read more

This is a new go-to place for us when we want to get some upscale bar, food and cocktails. They certainly have a vast menu to suit all tastes. The lady loved the brisket tacos.. she basically said "These were the best brisket tacos of all time" This place has a very imaginative cocktail list, so please definitely try something from that list instead of going for a beer right off the bat. You went on a weekend and they had some brunch items and I ordered the biscuits and gravy which was very subpar. First, the gravy had very little taste and it didn't cook the roux long enough so it had a flour taste to it. Second, they serve it in a gravy boat next to the biscuits instead of all over the biscuits.. and third, there are no sausage bits in the gravy so hence the lack of flavor. I love the choices of beers and drinks. The food is divided into a north, south, east, west sections that represent that type of food. Eastern food is Asian. We had the spicy Korean wings, the best item we had. The service was excellent. The prices were reasonable. The food portions were good sized. I had a blond ale that was excellent. We also had some Latkis and pork belly appetizers. My meal was their pastrami sandwich and fries. Everything I had at this wonderful restaurant was good, but too salty for my taste. They use sauce on everything. The pastrami had a wonderful smoky flavor, but I just craved a small salad or fruit cup. The lack of healthier food choices lowers the overall score for this place. This past weekend I had the pleasure of having a date night at Webb's. The ambiance/atmosphere was lively, comfortable, and inviting from the start. Packed to the brim, my partner and I were still able to get a table for 2 within a few minutes of arriving. Our server was incredible and helped us navigate the menu with ease. For the meal itself, we were absolutely blown away by the Pastrami Sandwich. As per our servers suggestion, we added a hamburger patty + spicy pickles... WOW. Definitely comfort food, but so worth the calories. The fries were lovely, and reminded me of a classic (and well executed) fast food style fry. As for the shrimp tacos, they were a lovely and lighter option for the night, and the Yuzu & Kosho Crema was phenomenal. I don't drink but was told by multiple sources that they don't skimp on the strength of their cocktails. Everyone was having a great time when we went (around 9pm on a Friday) and the vibes were solid throughout the entire night. Will definitely be revisiting Webb's and trying new items from the menu. Fast and friendly service. I tried their chicken sandwich, which comes with a choice of side. I chose latkis, which are basically fancy tater tots. Huge serving for a fair price of $18 as of April 2024! Loved it. Also drank a nauti but nice (specialty vodka cocktail), and enjoyed it. We had a good time here. We have been wanting to come out and try Webbs, so we made a point to go after a long morning of working out. We order the shrimp fritters -- wish this had a bit more flavor. Was kind of bland. My wife ordered the Ahi Poke bowl and I ordered the smash burgers w/ pastrami and side of Cincinnati chili. The ahi poke bowl hit the spot for my wife. The Mac salad was good and the ginger chips were yummy. My burger needed a bit more flavor. The Chili however WAS AMAZING!! The best out of all of the food we had. Never had Cincinnati chili before, so was excited to try it. So good! The drinks were ok; we ordered two rounds Lavender Lemon Drop -- just needed a bit more simple syrup to cut down the tartness a touch. Buttered Ball whiskey old fashioned -- it was good! White peach mint julep -- needed a bit more syrup again to give it a slight sweetness to it. Bourbon Smashley -- a tad more syrup to cut it down slight would've helped with the bitterness from the muddled mint. Our servers were amazing and attentive; the food came out MINUTES after we put in our order. Very fast. Anyways, we will definitely come back again, and try the beers. Although we've been back several times since our last review, we thought this visit was worthy of mention. Go straight for the cocktails if you're into into home grown distilled spirits. We recommend the Nauti But Nice and the Railcar or the Old Fashion. Don't miss the Goat Cheese Wontons. Then it's on to two new sandwiches (at least for us). 1) The Smoked Turkey Club and 2) Curry Chicken Salad sandwhich. Here's the deal on food: most places tend to focus on making beer and stuff. Sure, these guys do just that. But while doing so, they don't skimp on the food. It's right up there with the distilled stuff. So go there and enjoy. Oh man I've been dying to try this amazing establishment for the better half of a year and boy was it worth the wait. My girl Taylor at the host set us up with a sick table for two in the train tables. Miki C helped us get our drinking situated quickly and our food came out immediately behind it.
