Well...I really wanted this review to be better than it is but, people needed to be informed. I remember coming here over 10 years ago and I was so impressed. Sad how things changed in the wrong direction. Our server Justin was great! He was very attentive! Thanks Justin. Now for the food...uh....not again. I don't know who made the salad dressings but they need to ease up on the mayonnaise. The garlic ranch dressing tasted nothing like the name. The Cesar salad was lacking.....everything accept lettuce and the onion soup....(I am shaking my head). I just can't (as the kids say). I won't be coming back, at least not to this location. So I have been thinking about going to this place for a couple of years since all of the hype when it opened. The overall experience was pretty good, I had a Saturday night reservation so seating was no problem though the crowd was not that big. The spinach/artichoke appetizer was so-so, nothing much special about it. The filet was very nicely done. We also had the ribs which were unremarkable. The overall experience was that it was smoky. It was good, but it seemed like someone was trying to make a point of the grill preparation -- that was the most remarkable thing about them. So it was a nice meal, but not a place I fell a need to return to. I'd happily go back if someone from out of town wanted the experience, but it did not become a destination place for me, though they get extra points from having a fair selection of regional beers at the bar. $75 for 2 with a drink each. read more

I've been here twice because my mother is crazy for their bloody mary's. The first time, I ordered a steak well done and it came back dry. I've ordered steaks well done before and they came back juicy. Very disappointed considering this place is supposed to be the grill experts! The second time I went back, I did not order a steak again but I tried one of their kettle burgers. Nothing special or that would make me want to come back. A bit over-priced for food that is not all that. You are mostly just paying for the name of the restaurant. Even though the ambiance was really nice, I still gave this place one star just for the fact that they are the grill experts and they messed up a steak! Woke up with a hankering for hamburgers... not like Mickey D or White Castle fast-food burger, but the good, old-fashioned, delicious, fire-grilled variety. We've passed by the giant grill on multiple occasions on Butterfield and today it finally dawned on me to pay them a visit. In summary, it was a great treat for my taste-buds! AND, it doubled as a date on Valentine's day, an extra bonus :) We started with the sampler: rib, shrimp, skewers, chicken, and onion rings. With the exception of the chicken (which I admit was probably as good as fire-grilled white-meat chicken can get), we thoroughly enjoyed this tiny but outstanding appetizer. On to our main course - the Wisconsin burger, and the Surf & Turf. The burger hit the spot. I don't think I'll crave burgers for another 2 months (in a good way). My wife had the Surf & Turf, a variety of grilled jumbo shrimp with scallops, buttered mashed potatoes, and a small piece of steak medallion. She mentioned that the dish could have done without the steak medallion, which wasn't as tender as she'd hoped for. Nevertheless, being a huge fan of seafood, she felt the rest of the dish was excellent. On to the caveat, and the ONLY reason this establishment failed to get the perfect 5-star rating, is its price. We ended up with a bill of $70, which is enough to have gotten the two of us full at Chef Soon's sushi restaurant. My first time attending to this particular restaurant has definitely caught my attention. I went to Weber Grill in Lombard, IL over the weekend for Mother's Day on a Sunday to celebrate the American Mother's Day, since we've already celebrated the Mexican Mother's Day on Friday. My first impression of the restaurant was quite interesting and statues of the large red grill outside of the restaurant and the large man cooking on his grill inside the restaurant once you walk in. I immediately said whoa. Once we've walked into the restaurant with my parents, I've immediately noticed how dimmed the restaurant was and how it was hard for my father to read the menu. He had to pull out his 'almost-dead' phone to use his flashlight to able to read the menu. Not a good look, Weber Grill. Our server came; she was definitely polite and sweetheart. But unfortunately, she did not offer more rolls once more after the first serving of rolls and before our big meal. The time gap between the first rolls and the big meal, was roughly 20-25 minutes and she didn't check on us. I had to ask her can we have more rolls please. This really ticks me off with the customer service if I have to ask and she's not offering or checking on us before the big meal. The meal that my mother and I got was Wood-Grilled Caribbean Mahi Mahi, which was wood-grilled fish, with a side with pineapple mango salsa, tomato poblano rice, blue lake green beans = absolutely delicious! My father ordered the BBQ Combo, which you can choose up to two BBQ items out of six entries. My father ordered Beef brisket and Black Angus Meatloaf, with the side of broccoli and whipped sweet potatoes. He absolutely loved and I've took a bite or two from him and it's absolutely delicious! Oh my gosh! Food was awesome. Service was awesone. Atmosphere was comfortable, not quiet because there was children, but was not over vearing. Jyst a very nice comfortable dining exoerience. Was there for a corpoeate, but they still treated us as individuals when served. While I wss waiting for my party to arrive I observed how others were treated and waited on. Same. Highly recommend for a date or just a family get togethet. Oh, the waitresses all were gorgeous, friendly smiles and appeared to truly enjoy waiting on their custoners. We had a reservation at 730p didn't get seated until after 8p The manager quickly made up for it by giving us a sampler which was delicious. Crab Cakes were a nice size tasty with a slight hint of spice. Pretzel Rolls seem to melt in my mouth. I don't eat beef but if I did I'm sure I would be more than satisfied. Our appetizers was ok, my boyfriend did not get asked if he wanted anything to drink, and never got asked through out the night, he then had to go to the bar and get his own drink. I'll make this quick: The whiskey cocktails were fine, a little on the sweet side but not terrible. I had the ribeye. It was bland, and too tough for the price point. They claim it's dry-aged. I've had aged beef many times, and this certainly didn't taste like it. There was very little fat inside the steak, which of course makes it lean and tough. There was a ton of sinew and gristle though, which didn't help. In fairness, there was a nice charred spot on one side that had a glorious flavor, albeit a rough texture. Honestly though, my jaw was hurting after eating most of the edible portions of the steak. I subbed fries instead of mashed potatoes ($1 extra), they were alright, shoestring style, allegedly Parmesan fries but just tasted like fries. Meh. I had a side of their beets with goat cheese and pecans. This was pretty decent, although again, they claim they're grilled or something... no grill or fire-y flavor, but I like beets so whatevs. The service was alright, not great, not bad, just very mediocre. The manager Steve helped pull off a surprise for my parents while they dined for their anniversary and a birthday celebration! I live over 2.5 hrs away and wanted to pay for their meal but was told that they couldn't do that. Steve reassured me he would take care of my parents and he sure did!!! I sincerely appreciate how well he took care of my parents for this special dinner. My parents said the food was great as well as the server to complete the experience. Hi there! My husband and I would go here pretty regularly and then they changed their menu. I'm not much of a meat/fish eater so I would get the Mediterranean Vegi salad. I LOVED IT! Now that's it's gone... I tried another salad (all iceberg, no thank you!). Also, tried an Asian bowl thing. It was fine, nothing special. The waitress did suggest that I get the sauce on the side since it was really spicy, so I was grateful for that. We probably won't be back unless my Mediterranean Vegi salad comes back. Went for a drink at the bar as table was not ready and chaos seemed to rule at front desk. It was 6pm on Sat night and they were busy. I asked for a whiskey sour and very quickly received a glass of ice with a lot of whiskey and some sort of ready made lemon concoction in it. Not good. Careless and sloopy. So just stick with the beer and treat this place as it is - a grill joint. Table in main room was comfortable and full shrimp was not peeled properly as an appetiser. However for $4 the Ceasar salad was huge, though pretty average. Service was polite and efficient. Full slab of ribs was good. Turkey Burger huge and decent. Desserts were too sweet Mass BBQ catering is not fine dining. Treat this place as if it was a neighbours grill out and you will not be let down. I was pretty disappointed. I had a BBQ combo of ribs and chicken. The ribs were really dry. The chicken was okay but nothing special. The ambiance of the patio was the only positive thing I can really say about the restaurant but it was over shadowed by the terrible service. We had a party of 11 and I really felt like the server knew she would get the automatic 20% gratuity so ignored our table all evening. I was very disappointed. I would have made a bigger deal about the horrendous service but we had guests with us who were visiting from Japan and they were paying for our dinner to thank us for staying with us and our hospitality. I frequent many restaurants in the Northwest Suburbs. I have gone to Webers many times. I have tried probably everything on their menu, ranging from their pulled pork tacos to their lamb chops. Everything tastes amazing and fresh! Not only is the food good here, but the staff are great; very friendly! The atmosphere is always great, friendly bartenders and good conversation if you feel like chatting. For good food and an enjoyable time, try Webers sometime soon! We went here last night for dinner after not being back for a long time...all I can say is WOW!!!. The service, food, and total experience was fantastic. I ordered the the ribeye, while my wife ordered the prime rib. We both tried each others meals as we both loved what we were having. The only issue we had is our son did find some broken glass in the booth, but when we told our server about the issue, she was incredibly appologetic and offered to move us to another table. Soon after the manager came by to tell us how very sorry they were that we found glass in our booth. No one was injured, so it was no big deal to us, we just didn't want someone else to possibly get hurt. Overall a wonderful experience and we will certainly be back again for another mouthwatering meal. read more

Excellent appetizers. Tasty fry onion, shrimps cook just right. Crab cakes has great texture, it is crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside. The pretzel bread needs to be heated well before serving (it is cold when it comes to our table). Server is knowledgeable about the dishes, and they have great recommendations on which dish to go for. The lighting if the restaurant is a bit too dark, it's so dark that i can't even see the proper color of the food. read more

I came here for to celebrate Mothers Day. The service could not have been better! The hostess was welcoming. The server and support staff were all on their game. The food was great and it did not take them long to serve our group of ten. I would live to go back some time. A skewer each of angus beef, ranch chicken, two BBQ shrimp and a BBQ rib with a side of onion straws. I had this for my main course with a side of whipped sweet potato. The sweet potato was whipped until it was fluffy and light and melted in your mouth. Husband got a 12 oz. Fillet Mignon, baked potato and pot of baked beans. He ate every bit. Everyone seems excited about the Pretzel rolls. Really nothing to write home about. On the verge of being stale, they could have at least warmed them up. However, this was easily the worst ambiance I have ever experienced at a restaurant. At one point shortly after we had been seated, there were three different people talking on their cell phones, at their tables. One couple face timed someone, finished their conversation and then immediately left the restaurant...That couldn't wait until the car? Hello? Manners? Awareness of the setting you are in? I don't anticipate returning to Weber Grill anytime soon. If I want to have the type of experience that I did last night, I would be better off spending half the money and going to a Chili's or something of the like. read more

I love this place! Even though it's a chain, it's ultra-classy, the service tends to be great, and it's great for a group or for a date. They also give you a bread basket with preztel bread and a cheddar butter. It's soo good. Although you don't have to dress up, the clientele tends to be more high-end, including a ton of business professionals who stop by after work. You'll also want to make a reservation because the place gets busy. Valet parking is available (and you may need it) for weekends, but on weekdays you can plan to park in the lot. read more

We went for Father's Day because it used to be my favorite restaurant, but now I don't know if I'm ever going back. My daughter didn't like the grill taste of the pizza so we wanted just a hot dog with no bun since she already had sides. It ended up costing me $8, wtf? That left me a little annoyed but I can live with it. As I was gathering the kids together to leave, I didn't remember putting my credit card in my wallet. I double checked the book and there was no card in there so I assumed I had it. The next day I had to spend an hour of my day going back there to get my card that the waiter didn't give back to me. As much as we spent on steaks and alcoholic beverages, I'd expect more out of their employees than that. I have been there with friends several times, and the steaks we had were always cooked exactly to our specifications, and were both tender and flavorful. The prices are a bit high, but if you like steak, it's worth every penny to know you will never be disappointed by a tough, flavorless or poorly-cooked piece of meat. However. There is not much to recommend beyond the beef. The wait staff is civil yet perfunctory, the side dishes are forgettable, and the noise level is absolutely absurd. When I'm staying at a nearby hotel for work, I've stopped into this Weber Grill a handful of times. I know it's a chain, so I'm not usually very high on chains, but I have a Weber Grill at home and do kind of have a weakness for that charcoal grill flavor... I've really enjoyed some menu items that would be surprising - like chili, or the salads (really unique dressings), or the artichoke-spinach dip. Did I mention the artichoke-spinach dip? Okay, not something to typically get excited about, right? WRONG if you're at Weber Grill. Get the dip! Is rich, creamy, and has a smokey delightful flavor. A nice surprise for spin-dip. I've also had great service and it's a nice place. Probably the biggest downside would be the prices. It's a little spendy. But it's comparable to the other restaurants in the area, so I don't think they're out of line. If you're looking for a safe bet, Weber Grill delivers some great flavors. read more

I have been to this one and the one in downtown Indianapolis, IN both are amazing places. first they one of the best BBQ its in the world, and now a restaurant with actual Weber grills That burns wood in it! Struggled between two and three stars because I used to really like this place, but it has markedly gone downhill. The menu hasn't really changed over the years, but I think that the rough economy over the last few years has really hampered them (like it has other restaurants). The portion sizes used to be larger and the food obviously of better quality. You can tell the latter because much of the meat is overcooked, which restaurants will do to mask the lower-quality. The steak skewers, which have been my go-to appetizer here over the years, are overdone and I think they have simply cut the steak portions in half so it looks like there are more of them. Burgers are dry and have a lack of seasoning, when they used to be quite flavorful. They've also had some of their lunch specials and events specials scaled down...another sign their revenues are dropping. It's kind of sad, because this place used to be very good, a less-pricey (and often better) alternative to Gibson's or something akin. It's not awful by any stretch, but compared to the quality it used to be, it's missing the mark. read more

So we were in Chicago for a family thing and we stayed on the outside of Chicago due to the cost.(way cheaper). We wanted to eat steak and saw the Weber grill so why not. The food here is just average, but the service is pretty good. This is a traditional steak and BBQ establishment cooked on Weber Grill products which you can also buy (not at the restaurant though...LOL) If you just have to have some BBQ or a decent Steak and this is the only place to get..then you should go. Delicious. I've been there as a department lunch outing, committee dinner outing, and with my significant other. The quality is superb, the taste fresh and delicious. The decor is classic but kicked up a notch, the entrance where you can see the kitchen area is a lot of fun, the bar is great, enough room but not too much, and good tvs. Staff is friendly and aims to please.
