All well, I don't normally write review for restaurants. But I feel I have to because I want to warn everyone... Please know everyone have different taste, my review is based on my personal thought. I am a Chinese myself maybe I am a little picky when it goes to Chinese food. We ordered to go to eat with my two kids. There isn't anything we can give more then 2 stars here. I am sorry. They over used sauce, over seasoning, ingredients are weird combination. Meat didn't seem fresh. even I know we all use frozen meat but there is a different if people prepared the ingredients right. I ordered the fish in Szechuan sauce fish. Fish was breaded too much that I didn't taste aNy fish at all. Sweat and sour chicken combination with beef broccoli only be with 4 pieces chicken also over breaded. We got a free chicken lo mein but I didn't see any noodles till later they were all cut up into small pieces like bean sprouts length. all well. Good luck with your order. We LOVE Wei Asian Cafe! We love the food and the staff. Everything is always fast, fresh and delicious! past 2 visits i was told that food would be ready for pick up in 45 minutes to 1 hour , when i went to pick up food it took a additional 30 minutes on top of the hour ???!!! your food is not that good !!! dont lie to your customers and if i have to wait that long offer me something free or a discount - something ! you lost a long time customer !!! read more

Try the house fried rice it's layered so it's not all mixed up which I like. When I get a cheat meal this place is where I have my cravings. I ordered 4 family dinners. First the menu online at zmenue here https://www.zmenu.com/wei-asian-cafe-tucson-online-menu/ we all got different meals. I live 40 minutes away. so I ordered and left. I got there and when my order was ready (they were busy) I thought it looked light. I asked the gentlemen at the front if that was all of it. He assured me all of it was in the box. He pointed out the 4 meals, all the soups, the appetizer packets. Well I drove 40 minutes home to find out they did not give us ANY rice at all. they only gave us 3 appetizer packets, my order of crab puffs was not there at all. The menu says each meal is $14.95 per person. well I was charged $17.99 per person. The Teriyaki chicken was beef and had veggies and pineapple in it. Needless to say I was furious. I called them immediately. they offered to give me double rice next time I order from them. Really? double rice? WTF am I going to do with that? I will go in and talk to the manager and get this fixed. We have been gong to this restaurant for years. My family have been fans for 10+ years. it was one of my daughters favorite places to go before she was killed in an accident. I am so disappointed in this experience and their solution. Wow........this was my first time to Wei I've had a lot of Chinese food in my day and this time I was blown away, I ordered the house Lo-Mein and everything (the meats and shrimp) were cooked to perfection. Was very good..quality is suffering.fried rice is dry and sloppy mixed.still see white rice mixed in.loved the orange chicken because it seemed fresh made .last two times it was soggy.just got done eating the food there and had a taste of dust afterwards.im sure they can fix the problem easily and I will give it one more try.but if it's not like when I first went there I will not be going back.i spent $100 to $80. At first I was skeptical to try this place because I am a pretty picky when it comes to "Chinese food" but this place is AWESOME and the price is right too! I love all their soups, and love the sesame chicken. They will even let me special order it without all the breading. A must try! read more

I've been going to this restaurant for years and I'm applauded by the treatment we received tonight. I called in a order for pick up (2 orders of pho) and when my husband got home we only had 1 box of noodles. So we called to see if we can pick up another box of noodles and they argued over the phone with us calling us liars, that I ordered vegetable soup, even though they clearly charged up for 2 orders of pho. After finally having them agree for us to pick up another box of noodles (which is a small cheap thing to make right for us as long term customers) when my husband got there they further argued with him and even tried to charge him 2.50 for the noodles they had forgotten!!! I am in shock at this treatment when it was clearly their mistake and they refused to do a simple thing to make it right by their customers. I will never go again and they have lost a once loyal customer. read more

I read the reviews here as our 9 year old son was craving Chinese food. This was the best General Tso's Chicken I've ever had. Both my sons loved the sweet and sour chicken, my wife her Lo Mein. Tasty egg rolls and fried wonton, everything was delicious and our service was first rate! read more

This restaurant had decent food in the past, service is hit and miss. Pathetic phone ordering though. Got hung up on after having been put on hold for 7min. Called back was put on hold again. When I finally got someone to place the order, she thought it was quite funny I got hung up on. Based on this and last food experiences which had gone down, I would not recommend anymore. read more

I love their vietnamese food. The noodle bowls are great, tasty and authentic. I like the pork noodle bowl, officially the Bun Thit Nuong. So, if you're in the mood for something fresh, give this one a try! They also have the Boba teas. read more

Awesome Tofu dishes. I always order the dumplings as well. Delivery is only 2 dollars. Perfect spot for Chinese. I don't switch up what I eat here so I can't compare too many items, but never had anything I didn't like or any issues. read more

We love this place and have been going there for years. The food is consistently great and so is the service!

I called and was put on hold so they could answer, and tend to the next call. I thought that the first person who was put on hold was taken care of first. Then, when that call was over they hung up on me. I called back, I asked the young man why it was ok to put me on hold and to take care of the person after me. Well, it was ok, because we called at the same time. And being hung up on was also ok because his co-worker came along and hung up the phone. There was no apology, no semblance of remorse. Then the bill for one order of Ho Fun and a small soup was over $18. That might have been acceptable had the portion been large. It was not. This will definitely not be my go-to place. Granted, this was my first visit to this establishment, but it was the best Asian food we have eaten in Tucson. The atmosphere was small and quiet. We were there @ about 1:30 PM on a Sunday. There were several other patrons but it was non-intrusive. My husband and I were able to hold a conversation without issue. We had a pleasant and helpful young man take our order. He was our waiter and was very attentive. As an appetizer, we had the amazing sizzling rice soup which was a meal in itself. We were expecting a little broth with maybe a scallion or two. It far surpassed that, it was full of many yummy vegetables and even had meat in it (beef and chicken I believe). It was more than two people could eat and still eat your entree. Portions here are very generous. For my entree, I ordered the Pho which was listed as beef and I was able to get chicken. My husband ordered combination lo mein. My husband has a large appetite but was not able to finish his either. We left with a box full of leftovers that will cover me for 2 more meals, and possibly him as well. The food was served hot (temperature) and very fresh. They do have spicy options, but this is what we ordered. They do deliver to the surrounding area. We will be moving to the area next month and were just trying it out, and we were not disappointed. For my husband and myself we spent $33 without tip. I think that is quite a bargain considering how many more meals we will still get out of it. If you don't want leftovers, I recommend splitting entrees. The only thing was they do not have to go drink cups. But who cares??!! I love this place!! read more

I'm stunned at the good reviews for this place. The General Tso Chicken was horrible. It was dry and almost inedibly chewy. It was $8.95 and only came with rice. We also got the sweet and sour pork, so we spent $20 for subpar food. It almost makes me suspect of Yelp because I cannot see how anyone gave this place more than 3 stars! read more

We've eaten carryout now 4 times and every time has been great. The service is fast! Meal usually ready for pick up in 15 minutes. I can't even get there that fast. The cashew chicken isn't skimpy on the chicken and the pad Thai is actually spicy (and not sweet like a lot of Americanized versions). I will definitely keep coming back. read more

Walking into an empty dinning room I wondered if I had just made a mistake, but I sat down anyway and placed an order for Red Curry. WOW! I don't know how the rest of the food is but this dish was outstanding. Just the right amount of hot and sweet, loaded with veggies, meat and shrimp. The rice that came with the dish was perfect. I'm looking forward to going back and trying out other items. If they are as good as the Red Curry then I just found my new favorite Asian place. Try it. read more

They have good food but 1. The portions are average running to small depending when you order. 2. If you order they give you barley any white rice at all and there is no option to upgrade to fried rice which is unheard of. They also have no basic dinner specials at all. 3. Need soy sauce or cookies with your order forget it they almost never include them when you order even if you ask. 4. The service sucks, they made me meet them down the block because they guy was driving a sports car dropped so low he can't get up a hill and then they changed my drinks and when I complained because I needed a clear soda they actually called me BACK to tell me how lucky I was to get a soda I never ordered. I implore everyone to try Mae's Chinese across the street on Harrison behind the Circle K. Mae's environment is much more welcoming, cleaner, not musty, and more light. Their food taste so much fresher and not greasy or oily. Plus Mae's prices are much more reasonable. The owners at Wei's are so rude when something goes wrong. Everyone else's fault but theirs. I drove out to the east side to take my nephew out to celebrate his honor roll. We ordered orange chicken ( so tough could not be cut and no flavor. We order the volcano appetizer and actually could not eat half as it was inedible. The only thing truly edible was the lo neon and even then I specified no shrimp as I am highly allergic and they brought it out with shrimp and then laughed. They then said they made a new one which came out in less than three minutes. I took a bite in about three minutes later my tongue was tingling and I started coughing. I believe they only took the shrimp off but said they made new one. When I told them it was wrong. I told them that as a business owner I would not be back as they made no consolation just excuses about how the woman must have overlooked it. My nephew could not even eat his food. So much for a celebration.. if I could have given them a 1/2 star I would have. I actually took the remaining lo me on home and had my friend test it and if fact it has remnants of shrimp within them. I had to take my epi pen as I began having issues with breathing. read more

The woman owner was very rude and professional. I order chicken fried rice and was only given 1 soy sauce. I had to ask a few times to get 4 packets. At that point was over it and no longer wanted the food and left. She came outside and yelled don't ever come back. I tried to call to speak with manage David and was told that's the boss so oh well.
