The farm is perfect for all ages and there were so many fun activities to do for kids and adults. The first thing my friends and I did was get food at the food station. I got a "spooky milkshake", which was delicious (not pictured). They had a choice between vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream and it was topped with whipped cream, a donut hole, and a brownie bite. It was very sweet and delicious. It seemed like a lot of people were buying those milkshakes. Then we moved on to the animal barn which was a ton of fun. They had a cow, pigs, chickens, ducks, a bunny, goats, lambs, and even a donkey! You weren't allowed to feed the animals, but you were allowed to pet them and they had a huge bottle of hand sanitizer for people to wash their hands after petting the animals. The animals were gentle and friendly, so parents delt parents felt safe for their kids to pet the animals. Next, we went through a corn maze, and they had a "big" corn maze and "small" corn maze. For the big corn maze, the farm does a different intricate design every year. This year, I believe it was a tractor. They even have signs and QR codes to scan so you could track how far along the maze you are as well as track how long you've been in the corn maze. Then we went on the tractor ride. While this was relaxing, it was very slow and there weren't a ton of beautiful farm views. At one point, we were riding along next to a highway, so that took away from the farm experience a little bit. I also thought they were going to do a bunch of stops at vegetable or pumpkin gardens if even flower patches, but they did not, which I was surprised about considering each hay ride was about 30 minutes long. I would recommend the hay ride to people who want a break from exploring the farm and want to give their feet a rest. After the hay ride, my friends and I decide to check out the gift shop, and they had a lot of stuffed animals, branded shirts and sweatshirts, cookie cutters, and candles that smelled heavenly. Next to the gift shop, they had more activities for people to do. One of the farm's main selling points is their story about Spookley the Square pumpkin. In this space they also set up a backdrop for people to take pictures and a "design your own pumpkin" station where they provide different shapes for eyes, noses, and mouths and you can pick and choose to color in each shape. Near the corn maze, there were a bunch of activities including a giant bounce pad, signs which different games to play (such as "find the corn [popcorn, cornpipe, corn dog, etc]", mazes, and "find the difference"), basketball, a small train for children to ride, human foosball, and a hay tower for people to climb. This pumpkin farm is great for families and friends to attend to have the perfect fall day. They also have a similar experience during the wintertime if you check out their website.

This family owned orchard is a you pick spot (or you buy already picked) and is a fun day outing. There is plenty of parking and they have ample picnic tables and patio seating. There is a fun play area for kids and they are rather casual about things so kids can enjoy the orchard as well. On weekends they have music in the fall so we got to enjoy some Bluegrass, local wine and treats plus apple cider and apples for home. Their slushiest are amazing but all of their treats are yummy, and who can resist a pumpkin or caramel apple? Definitely worth a visit!

That being said, I had a lovely day at Dollie's. The location appears to be dog and family friendly and would be a fun day out for families. Flowers were very popular with various sizes offered at a range of cost, from small bunches to a bucket! I went for the lavender. You are given a basket and garden shears and left to cut your own. I took my time and enjoyed the relaxing environment. Pricing is per ounce, pre-wrapped bundles are available but these are dried. There are a few animals including peacocks! A store is located on the site, filled with cute home and body care. All of the items were lavender themed-I'm not sure if this was done for the festival or if this is standard.

It's fun to roam for a few minutes, but I ended up picking mine from a trailer full. There's a barn with a couple goats and donkeys, and some cute photo props. They also have a hay ride and a little kids train type thing (The rides are an additional cost.) I recommend going when they have live music, because it goes on until 8pm. They have a beer garden, so you can enjoy the evening with music and some beautiful outdoor lighting. Fun for an evening date that's not a far drive- especially if you live on the west side.

When I think of orchards, I tend to reflect fondly back on school field trips and my childhood in…read moregeneral. That feeling was alive and well at Greenfield, Indiana's Tuttle Orchards. This 200-acre establishment offers around 50 acres of apples, 30 acres of vegetables, 20-25 acres of pumpkins, and a greenhouse among other options. There's a small cafe here. There's U-Pick apples, of course, along with U-Pick pumpkins. There's flowers galore, a variety of food items, exhibits classes, tours, and more. They take credit cards (no WIC or SNAP). There's no general admission to get into Tuttle. There's also no parking fee. There are fees for certain activities, and there are obviously fees for items that are sold. There are over 2,000 items in their farm store. I'm a definite fan of the donuts. Yeah, I know. What kind of weirdo goes to an orchard and gets a donut? Me. I'm that weirdo. More than 90% of their plants sold are grown right at the orchard. Tuttle has been around since the early apple trees were planted in 1928. It's now fourth generation Tuttle, though the owners are actually named Roney at this point (but still in the family). Accessibility? Better than expected and obviously intentional. Perfect? Nope. It's an orchard. No orchard will be perfectly accessible, but it's quite good and employees are helpful as much as able. Parking lot offers parking options. They've worked with disabled students, and the hayride is wheelchair accessible. The pumpkin patch is a dirt path, however, for the most part I found it workable. Some may need assistance. The only accessibility issue in most places would be the crowds, as Tuttle can get quite packed - especially on weekends. Tuttles does ask for advance notice for those with disabilities if possible, especially for groups, so guides can adapt material as needed for age/developmental level. Overall, I really enjoyed this visit. It wasn't my first time to Tuttle, though I'd never remembered it well enough to be comfortable reviewing it. After a recent visit, I remembered why I always enjoyed it so much. It was more accessible than expected, everyone was friendly, and a side benefit is really watching all the kids around you have such a good time. There's a reason so many consider an orchard visit a fall tradition. Tuttle Orchard is a great place to start that tradition with your friends and family.

They offer U-pick apples & Pumpkins or if you're in a hurry they're ready to grab from the red barn. Pumpkins are super reasonably priced at $.40 a Lb or pie pumpkins for $3. The concession stand is open on Saturday & Sunday. I love the fried biscuits with apple butter & of course you must get the apple cider slushies!! I don't remember seeing it prior, but they had apple cobbler warmed up with ice cream, delicious! I just love this place so much! I had the chance to accompany a friend to Spencer Farm for a relatively brief visit. While it was pretty brief, I was impressed. Spencer Farm was started by, you guessed it, the Spencers - Lori and Kyle. It started out as Spencer's U-Pick in 1982. They started out with strawberries. By 1986, they moved to a new farm on Cherry Tree Road. They expanded to include red raspberries, black raspberries, blueberries, and chrysanthemums. They've added pumpkins, asparagus, grapes, Christmas trees, and their son founded a winery that now also sits on the farm grounds. Spencer's now does pre-picked, you-pick, and wholesale fruit. In 2008, they further expanded the farm with a variety of Indiana products including ice cream, fudge, pies, jams, jellies, etc. As you can tell, I immediately wanted to see their sunflower field. I love, love, love sunflowers. One of the reasons I'm not particularly a farm dude is because farms are seldom very accessible. While Spencer's isn't perfect, there's a STRONG effort here to be accessible. I was honestly surprised and impressed. You could send me to the gift shop, and I could be a very happy camper. I will note that they have a strong photography policy. It's on their website, but if you're taking professional equipment I'd read the policies first as there are requirements. There's an awful lot to love here. The people are friendly. The farm is well laid out and surprisingly accessible (the fields obviously have some issues - they're fields). There's accessible parking close to the entrance. This would be a great place for families. Children should definitely enjoy it. There's a strong element of faith here, and that's radiated in the beauty of the surroundings and the service.
