Very first time visiting and used their special offer for half off. Very impressed! The staff were all very friendly and I was very impressed how I had no wait when showing up for my appointment. It's a very nice relaxed atmosphere and doesn't feel anything like a woman's salon. I was taken care of by Ashleigh, who was very kind and patient with me. I'm not great at styling my hair and really liked that she gave me several different options to achieve a great style. The hot face towel and scalp massage was like a mini vacation. This is the second chance with me. First Time I took my son there right after a baseball game to get his haircut and all the lady did was talk about how much dirt and sand was in his hair. No shit we just came from a baseball game don't talk to me like I have a dirty kid. So that irritated me so I haven't gone back for a long time tonight try to give them a second chance walked up there's a giant red sign neon that says walk in now. I went in the lady said she didn't have anything available. I turned around looked at the giant red neon sign and said your sign says walking now. All she did was shrug her shoulders. I usually do not write reviews, but I felt really compelled this time. First of all, I have been happily going to Weldon Barber since January 2009 when I moved here from Texas. I had really enjoyed the experience because the service I received from Sheena was excellent. I really could get my hair cut anywhere and frankly have used many of the "higher end" barbers for several years, and none were better than the service I received with Sheena at Weldon Barber. I always got the "signature" and she did a great job. She was the stylist I have used since I moved to Washington, cutting my hair for about 4 years, and I was extremely disappointed when I found out that she had left Weldon Barber. Sheena was in her own league in terms of people who cut my hair, and was the best ever. Period. She really new her customers needs, and after 4 years of excellent service she knew exacly what I needed when I came in to a T. That is why I came back so often. Will also miss the cracking on my gas guzzling Hummer that I can't sell but that is another story. :) I'm not sure I will be going back, but will see what other options are out there. read more

I brought my 6 year-old son to Weldon yesterday afternoon. My so has very difficult hair/head and to be honest, I've never been happy with any haircut he has received. The salon was clean, sanitary and the staff was very friendly. Cassi cut my son's hair and she did a fantastic job. She was thorough, took her time, chatted with my son and gave advise to me on how to cut his hair in the future. I always wanted have the experience of having a close hot shave. Much like the closest that Sweeney Todd the demon barber of fleet street would be proud of. Finding a pretty sweet deal on groupon, I thought that I would give Weldon Barbers a chance. I called during work and made my appointment for later that afternoon. I had told them I had a groupon before my appointment and they said to have a seat and someone would be right with me. I was only in the waiting area for less than 10 min before I met Mary, my barber? She was very nice asking how I wanted my hair and how I wanted my beard shaved. After listening to what exactly I wanted she went to work. Taking her time to get my cut just the way that I wanted it. When it came to the shave Mary took her time and made the edges real sharp. When I looked in the mirror I just wasn't satisfied with how my beard looked. She sat me back again and cleaned up my beard just the way that I like it. I was very impressed at how well my barber listened to me and made me feel that I wasn't holding her from her next client. Trying to find a stylist to cut my hair is very difficult due to the details. I moved across the state and went to Weldon hoping to get the same experience. My initial stylist was nice, but my haircut varied every visit. At times it seemed lob sided. She ended up leaving to another place. Do to convenience, I went back to just get a cleanup cut, but ran into Kayla. Our first visit, I explained my haircut to her and she nailed it. I go back every couple of weeks and she just remembers without me every having to worry about what it my look like this time around. If you want a great cut, go see Kayla. She is amazing! read more

When you arrive you are greeted and offered a beverage. Watch the big screen, read a magazine, or play on your phone. The cubicles (not an accurate word) separate each barber's station with aesthetically pleasing wood and extruded metal shelving. The industrial interior is well executed. Your barber will politely take your coat ask you how you would like your haircut. This is a conversation where they can give advice. The hot towel opens your pores then the clippers and shears come out and you are reminded of why you are actually here. Get the signature and spoil yourself with a relaxing head massage during the rinse. This is a gentleman's barbershop. read more

Cant say it was better or worse but definitely overpriced. Up Charges for having to use scissors and having your haircut done by a "master barber" are not justified unless its told in advance. Weldon Barber and Kassie are the BEST! About a year and a half ago my teenage son received a very unfortunate haircut from a different place. It was bad. I suggested we try a place like Weldon and see if they could fix the problem. We walked in and he ended up in Kassie's chair and he's been going back ever since. My younger teenage son also sees her now too. Kassie gives the best haircuts, both boys always walk away happy and looking good. She also treats them like a friend when talking to them and they enjoy going in to see her and chat while getting their haircut. I can't recommend Kassie enough! I walked in impressed by how upscale facility looked, I was greeted by a receptionist that checked me in, gave me options of services and offered me a number of complimentary beverages while I waited. Soon after my barber took me back to her booth (each booth has privacy partitions). Once she got out her high end clippers, I knew I was in the right place. She exceeded my expectations, my haircut turned out better than what I requested. I got the full service which included haircut/straight razor shave/hot towel treatment/head wash/head massage. It took me a couple of months to find a barber in the greater Seattle area that I liked. I was glad I finally found that place at Weldon Barber. The stylist that I see, Beth; is very courteous and professional. I appreciate that they work with you to achieve the hair style that you desire. And quite frankly, I enjoy coming into Weldon Barber once a month to get my hair washed and get a head message; it's pretty awesome. The only downside I find to Weldon Barber is the lack of seating in the Lobby area. With only 3 chairs its kind of awkward when a fourth individual shows up. Weldon Barber is one of those places when you go there enough, they know you by name and they know how you like your haircut without even asking. I got a haircut a couple weeks ago and wanted to write a review but haven't gotten the chance. I have never written a review before but felt I needed too for the outstanding experience I recieved here. I have come here numerous times and always have a positive experience. I'm always greeted with a smile and easily engage in conversation with the friendly staff that works here. I am writing this review not because of the positive experience I always have but because of the phenomenal haircut I recieved from George! I always get great haircuts but I always feel like something is missing or it could be just a little better. I did not feel that way when George was done. He spent quality time to give me a quality cut. He used techniques that I have never had done before. It showed when George was done because it was perfect. I absolutely hate getting rushed through a cut and coming home seeing missed areas and errors in my hair. Again this did not happen when I got my haircut by George. I will be requesting George every single time I get my haircut and if George is not there then I won't get a cut. That's not to say anything negative about the other stylists because they are all great. George just cut my hair exactly how I envisioned it. read more

I used to go to Weldon and made sure each appointment was made with Sheena. She always had a smile on her face and was the epitome of friendliness. Every appointment she went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, walked out with the perfect cut and really just emphasized customer service to the point where I referred all the men at my company, church, basketball team, etc to her specifically. Recently I went in for my regular cut and was disappointed to find that Sheena didn't work there anymore. I thought of going back to Gene Juarez (where I went religiously before discovering such a great alternative) but decided I'd try someone else at Weldon. My experience just recently was horrible. The start and unfortunate end to my awful visit was Marybeth. Now I understand we all have personal vices and not all of us are upstanding people who can be looked at as role-models, but I DO believe coming into work wreaking of cigarettes is repulsive, offensive, unprofessional and really just sets a bad tone for the entire visit. Not only did this Marybeth woman smell like burnt tobacco and chemicals mixed with cheap perfume, she also had a very unappealing attitude. Along with presenting herself in such an unsophisticated manner, she seemed to talk down or sarcastically and patronize other employees in the shop, and when she thought customers weren't listening, I could hear her gossiping and talking badly about other employees! I understand "shoptalk", but not when a customer can hear you! That is the epitome of acting in an unprofessional manner and appearing like an amateur. I pay a lot to get my hair cut due to my job's requirement of a groomed appearance (and I just like to look good anyway), but I don't pay to hear people complain or act ignorant and abusive towards those who are supposed to be helping them make Weldon a great place. I have to say, I will NEVER be going back to Weldon. Marybeth should really feel embarrassed that she made such a horrible impression on a returning customer and presented her company in such a repulsive way. If this incident had never occurred you better believe I'd still be returning to Weldon on a regular basis. BRING SHEENA BACK! read more

This review is long over due because I have been seeing Beth for quite a while now. A little back story, I walked into Weldon Barber and asked for the best person they had and I got directed to Beth and I am so beyond thankful for that recommendation. From that first hair cut and experience I had with Beth, I since haven't gone anywhere else. The best part about Beth is that she literally can read my mind, I will say about 10 words or less and she will completely understand what I want (cause I like to switch it up). Yes, it is a little pricey compared to most barber places, but you get what you pay for and the interaction, the experience, and cut is completely worth it. I walk out of there extremely happy with the cut I received every single time. Beth is so wonderful to talk to and she always seems to remember all my life stories when even sometimes I forget what going on. I would consider Beth not only my stylist but a great friend.
